A Local Central Limit Theorem for Clique Counts in Sparse Random Graphs
Let $X_H$ denote the number of copies of a fixed graph $H$ in $G_{n, p}$. Gilmer and Kopparty conjectured that $X_H$ satisfies a local central limit theorem (LCLT) provided that $H$ is connected, $p \gg n^{-1/m(H)}$, and $n^2 (1-p) \gg 1$, where $m(H)$ is the maximum density.
Following the work of Berkowitz, Sah and Sawhney confirmed this conjecture for every constant $p$, leaving the regime where $p=o(1)$ open. In this regime, the only case addressed in the literature is when $H=K_3$, where, in a recent paper, Araújo and Mattos confirmed the conjecture for $p \in (4n^{-1/2}, 1/2)$. This, together with a general result of Röllin and Ross, essentially settles the conjecture for the triangle. We generalise these results by showing that an LCLT holds for $H = K_r$ (for any fixed $r \ge 3$) in the regime $n^{-1/m(H)}\ll p\leq 1/2$, essentially settling the conjecture for cliques.
Optimal lower bounds for epsilon-nets for lines in the plane
We prove that, for arbitrarily small positive $\varepsilon$, there is a finite planar point set $P$ such that every $\varepsilon$-net for the range space induced on $P$ by straight lines has cardinality $Ω\bigl(1/\varepsilon \cdot \log(1/\varepsilon)\bigr)$. This matches the classical upper bound for range spaces with bounded VC-dimension due to Haussler and Welzl and confirms a prediction of Alon.
Random Turán Theorem for the Fano Plane
Let $F$ denote the Fano plane, the $3$-uniform hypergraph with $7$ vertices and $7$ edges. Frankl and Füredi, and independently Keevash and Sudakov, proved that the largest $F$-free subhypergraph of $K_n^{(3)}$ is bipartite. In this paper, we determine the sharp threshold for this property in the random setting. We show that for $\hat{p} = Θ_F \cdot n^{-2/3} \left(\log n\right)^{1/6}$, where $Θ_F$ is an explicit constant depending on $F$, we have: (i) if $(1+ε) \hat{p} \le p = o(1)$, then with high probability every largest $F$-free subhypergraph of $G_{n,p}^{(3)}$ is bipartite; and (ii) if $\frac{1}{n^2} \ll p \le (1-ε) \hat{p}$, then with high probability every largest $F$-free subhypergraph of $G_{n,p}^{(3)}$ is not bipartite. To the best of our knowledge, this work provides the first sharp threshold result obtained for a Turán-type problem in random hypergraphs.
Tree tilings in random regular graphs
We show that for every $ε>0$ there exists a sufficiently large $d_0\in \mathbb{N}$ such that for every $d\ge d_0$, whp the random $d$-regular graph $G(n,d)$ contains a $T$-factor for every tree $T$ on at most $(1-ε)d/\ln d$ vertices. This is best possible since, for large enough integer $d$, whp $G(n,d)$ does not contain a $\frac{(1+ε)d}{\ln d}$-star-factor. Our method gives a randomised algorithm which whp finds said $T$-factor and whose expected running time is $O(n^{1+o(1)})$, as well as an efficient deterministic counterpart.

Let $K^r_n$ be the complete $r$-uniform hypergraph on $n$ vertices, that is, the hypergraph whose vertex set is $[n]:=\{1,2,...,n\}$ and whose edge set is $\binom{[n]}{r}$. We form $G^r(n,p)$ by retaining each edge of $K^r_n$ independently with probability $p$.
An $r$-uniform hypergraph $H\subseteq G$ is $F$-saturated if $H$ does not contain any copy of $F$, but any missing edge of $H$ in $G$ creates a copy of $F$. Furthermore, we say that $H$ is weakly $F$-saturated in $G$ if $H$ does not contain any copy of $F$, but the missing edges of $H$ in $G$ can be added back one-by-one, in some order, such that every edge creates a new copy of $F$. The smallest number of edges in an $F$-saturated hypergraph in $G$ is denoted by $sat(G,F)$, and in a weakly $F$-saturated hypergraph in $G$ by $wsat(G,F)$.
In 2017, Korándi and Sudakov initiated the study of saturation in random graphs, showing that for constant $p$, with high probability $sat(G(n,p),K_s)=(1+o(1))n\log_{\frac{1}{1-p}}n$, and $wsat(G(n,p),K_s)=wsat(K_n,K_s)$. Generalising their results, in this paper, we solve the suturation problem for random hypergraphs for every $2\le r < s$ and constant $p$.
Stability of large cuts in random graphs
We prove that the family of largest cuts in the binomial random graph exhibits the following stability property: If $1/n \ll p = 1-Ω(1)$, then, with high probability, there is a set of $n - o(n)$ vertices that is partitioned in the same manner by all maximum cuts of $G_{n,p}$. Moreover, the analogous statement remains true when one replaces maximum cuts with nearly-maximum cuts.
We then demonstrate how one can use this statement as a tool for showing that certain properties of $G_{n,p}$ that hold in a fixed balanced cut hold simultaneously in all maximum cuts. We provide two example applications of this tool. First, we prove that maximum cuts in $G_{n,p}$ typically partition the neighbourhood of every vertex into nearly equal parts; this resolves a conjecture of DeMarco and Kahn for all but a narrow range of densities $p$. Second, for all edge-critical, nonbipartite, and strictly 2-balanced graphs $H$, we prove a lower bound on the threshold density $p$ above which every largest $H$-free subgraph of $G_{n,p}$ is $(χ(H)-1)$-partite. Our lower bound exactly matches the upper bound on this threshold recently obtained by the first two authors.
Simonovits's theorem in random graphs
Let $H$ be a graph with $χ(H) = r+1$. Simonovits's theorem states that, if $H$ is edge-critical, the unique largest $H$-free subgraph of $K_n$ is its largest $r$-partite subgraph, provided that $n$ is sufficiently large. We show that the same holds with $K_n$ replaced by the binomial random graph $G_{n,p}$ whenever $H$ is also strictly $2$-balanced and $p \ge (θ_H+o(1)) n^{-\frac{1}{m_2(H)}} (\log n)^{\frac{1}{e_H-1}}$ for some explicit constant $θ_H$, which we believe to be optimal. This (partially) resolves a conjecture of DeMarco and Kahn.
A Jump of the Saturation Number in Random Graphs?
For graphs $G$ and $F$, the saturation number $\textit{sat}(G,F)$ is the minimum number of edges in an inclusion-maximal $F$-free subgraph of $G$. In 2017, Korándi and Sudakov initiated the study of saturation in random graphs. They showed that for constant $p\in (0,1)$, whp $\textit{sat}\left(G(n,p),K_s\right)=\left(1+o(1)\right)n\log_{\frac{1}{1-p}}n$.
We show that for every graph $F$ and every constant $p\in (0,1)$, whp $\textit{sat}\left(G(n,p), F\right)=O(n\ln n)$. Furthermore, if every edge of $F$ belongs to a triangle, then the above is the right asymptotic order of magnitude, that is, whp $\textit{sat}\left(G(n,p),F\right)=Θ(n\ln n)$. We further show that for a large family of graphs $\mathcal{F}$ with an edge that does not belong to a triangle, which includes all the bipartite graphs, for every $F\in \mathcal{F}$ and constant $p\in(0,1)$, whp $\textit{sat}\left(G(n,p),F\right)=O(n)$. We conjecture that this sharp transition from $O(n)$ to $Θ(n\ln n)$ depends only on this property, that is, that for any graph $F$ with at least one edge that does not belong to a triangle, whp $\textit{sat}\left(G(n,p),F\right)=O(n)$.
We further generalise the result of Korándi and Sudakov, and show that for a more general family of graphs $\mathcal{F}'$, including all complete graphs $K_s$ and all complete multipartite graphs of the form $K_{1,1,s_3,\ldots, s_{\ell}}$, for every $F\in \mathcal{F}'$ and every constant $p\in(0,1)$, whp $\textit{sat}\left(G(n,p),F\right)=\left(1+o(1)\right)n\log_{\frac{1}{1-p}}n$. Finally, we show that for every complete multipartite graph $K_{s_1, s_2, \ldots, s_{\ell}}$ and every $p\in \left[\frac{1}{2},1\right)$, $\textit{sat}\left(G(n,p),K_{s_1,s_2,\ldots,s_{\ell}}\right)=\left(1+o(1)\right)n\log_{\frac{1}{1-p}}n$.

A classical vertex Ramsey result due to Nešetřil and Rödl states that given a finite family of graphs $\mathcal{F}$, a graph $A$ and a positive integer $r$, if every graph $B\in\mathcal{F}$ has a $2$-vertex-connected subgraph which is not a subgraph of $A$, then there exists an $\mathcal{F}$-free graph which is vertex $r$-Ramsey with respect to $A$. We prove that this sufficient condition for the existence of an $\mathcal{F}$-free graph which is vertex $r$-Ramsey with respect to $A$ is also necessary for large enough number of colours $r$.
We further show a generalisation of the result to a family of graphs and the typical existence of such a subgraph in a dense binomial random graph.
