Let $[n]$ denote the set $\{1, 2, \ldots, n\}$ and $\mathcal{F}^{(r)}_{n,k,a}$ be an $r$-uniform hypergraph on the vertex set $[n]$ with edge set consisting of all the $r$-element subsets of $[n]$ that contains at least $a$ vertices in $[ak+a-1]$. For $n\geq 2rk$, Frankl proved that $\mathcal{F}^{(r)}_{n,k,1}$ maximizes the number of edges in $r$-uniform hypergraphs on $n$ vertices with the matching number at most $k$. Huang, Loh and Sudakov considered a multicolored version of the Erdős matching conjecture, and provided a sufficient condition on the number of edges for a multicolored hypergraph to contain a rainbow matching of size $k$. In this paper, we show that $\mathcal{F}^{(r)}_{n,k,a}$ maximizes the number of $s$-cliques in $r$-uniform hypergraphs on $n$ vertices with the matching number at most $k$ for sufficiently large $n$, where $a=\lfloor \frac{s-r}{k} \rfloor+1$. We also obtain a condition on the number of $s$-clques for a multicolored $r$-uniform hypergraph to contain a rainbow matching of size $k$, which reduces to the condition of Huang, Loh and Sudakov when $s=r$.

For two $s$-uniform hypergraphs $H$ and $F$, the Turán number $ex_s(H,F)$ is the maximum number of edges in an $F$-free subgraph of $H$. Let $s, r, k, n_1, \ldots, n_r$ be integers satisfying $2\leq s\leq r$ and $n_1\leq n_2\leq \cdots\leq n_r$. De Silva, Heysse and Young determined $ex_2(K_{n_1, \ldots, n_r}, kK_2)$ and De Silva, Heysse, Kapilow, Schenfisch and Young determined $ex_2(K_{n_1, \ldots, n_r},kK_r)$. In this paper, as a generalization of these results, we consider three Turán-type problems for $k$ disjoint cliques in $r$-partite $s$-uniform hypergraphs. First, we consider a multi-partite version of the Erdős matching conjecture and determine $ex_s(K_{n_1, \ldots, n_r}^{(s)},kK_s^{(s)})$ for $n_1\geq s^3k^2+sr$. Then, using a probabilistic argument, we determine $ex_s(K_{n_1, \ldots, n_r}^{(s)},kK_r^{(s)})$ for all $n_1\geq k$. Recently, Alon and Shikhelman determined asymptotically, for all $F$, the generalized Turán number $ex_2(K_n,K_s,F)$, which is the maximum number of copies of $K_s$ in an $F$-free graph on $n$ vertices. Here we determine $ex_2(K_{n_1, \ldots, n_r}, K_s, kK_r)$ with $n_1\geq k$ and $n_3=\cdots=n_r$. Utilizing a result on rainbow matchings due to Glebov, Sudakov and Szabó, we determine $ex_2(K_{n_1, \ldots, n_r}, K_s, kK_r)$ for all $n_1, \ldots, n_r$ with $n_4\geq r^r(k-1)k^{2r-2}$.
The maximum number of triangles in graphs without large linear forests
Let $G$ be a graph on $n$ vertices. A linear forest is a graph consisting of vertex-disjoint paths and isolated vertices. A maximum linear forest of $G$ is a subgraph of $G$ with maximum number of edges, which is a linear forest. We denote by $l(G)$ this maximum number. Let $t=\left\lfloor (k-1)/2\right \rfloor$. Recently, Ning and Wang \cite{boning} proved that if $l(G)=k-1$, then for any $k<n$ \[ e(G) \leq \max \left\{\binom{k}{2},\binom{t}{2}+t (n - t)+ c \right\}, \] where $c=0$ if $k$ is odd and $c=1$ otherwise, and the inequality is tight. In this paper, we prove that if $l(G)=k-1$ and $δ(G)=δ$ ($δ<\lfloor k/2 \rfloor$), then for any $k<n$ \[ e(G) \leq \max \left\{\binom{k-δ}{2}+δ(n-k+δ),\binom{t}{2}+t\left(n-t\right)+c \right\}. \] When $δ=0$, it reduces to Ning and Wang's result. Moreover, let $r_3(G)$ be the number of triangles in $G$. We prove that if $l(G)=k-1$ and $δ(G)= δ$, then for any $k<n$ \[ r_3(G)\leq \max \left\{\binom{k-δ}{3}+\binomδ{2}(n-k+δ),\binom{t}{3}+\binom{t}{2}\left(n-t\right)+d \right\}. \] where $d=0$ if $k$ is odd and $d=t$ otherwise.
The shifting method and generalized Turán number of matchings
Given two graphs $T$ and $F$, the maximum number of copies of $T$ in an $F$-free graph on $n$ vertices is called the generalized Turán number, denoted by $ex(n,T,F)$. When $T=K_2$, it reduces to the classical Turán number $ex(n,F)$. Let $M_{k}$ be a matching with $k$ edges and $K^{*}_{s,t}$ a graph obtained from $K_{s,t}$ by replacing the part of size $s$ by a clique of the same size. In this paper, we show that for any $s\geq 2$ and $n\geq 2k+1$, \[ ex(n,K_s,M_{k+1})=\max\left\{\binom{2k+1}{s}, \binom{k}{s}+(n-k)\binom{k}{s-1}\right\}. \] For any $s\geq 1$, $t\geq 2$ and $n\geq 2k+1$, \[ ex(n,K_{s,t}^*,M_{k+1})=\max\left\{\binom{2k+1}{s+t}\binom{s+t}{t}, \binom{k}{s}\binom{n-s}{t}+(n-k)\binom{k}{s+t-1}\binom{s+t-1}{t}\right\}. \] Moreover, we also study the bipartite case of the problem. Let $ex_{bip}(n,T,F)$ be the maximum possible number of copies of $T$ in an $F$-free bipartite graph with each part of size $n$. We prove that for any $s,t\geq 1$ and $n\geq k$, \[ ex_{bip}(n,K_{s,t},M_{k+1})=\left\{ \begin{aligned} &\binom{k}{s}\binom{n}{t}+\binom{k}{t}\binom{n}{s}, & \quad s\neq t, &\binom{k}{s}\binom{n}{s},&\quad s=t. \end{aligned} \right. \] Our proof is mainly based on the shifting method.
The Turán problem for a family of tight linear forests
Let $\mathcal{F}$ be a family of $r$-graphs. The Turán number $ex_r(n;\mathcal{F})$ is defined to be the maximum number of edges in an $r$-graph of order $n$ that is $\mathcal{F}$-free. The famous Erdős Matching Conjecture shows that \[ ex_r(n,M_{k+1}^{(r)})= \max\left\{\binom{rk+r-1}{r},\binom{n}{r}-\binom{n-k}{r}\right\}, \] where $M_{k+1}^{(r)}$ represents the $r$-graph consisting of $k+1$ disjoint edges. Motivated by this conjecture, we consider the Turán problem for tight linear forests. A tight linear forest is an $r$-graph whose connected components are all tight paths or isolated vertices. Let $\mathcal{L}_{n,k}^{(r)}$ be the family of all tight linear forests of order $n$ with $k$ edges in $r$-graphs. In this paper, we prove that for sufficiently large $n$, \[ ex_r(n;\mathcal{L}_{n,k}^{(r)})=\max\left\{\binom{k}{r}, \binom{n}{r}-\binom{n-\left\lfloor (k-1)/r\right \rfloor}{r}\right\}+d, \] where $d=o(n^r)$ and if $r=3$ and $k=cn$ with $0<c<1$, if $r\geq 4$ and $k=cn$ with $0<c<1/2$. The proof is based on the weak regularity lemma for hypergraphs. We also conjecture that for arbitrary $k$ satisfying $k \equiv 1\ (mod\ r)$, the error term $d$ in the above result equals 0. We prove that the proposed conjecture implies the Erdős Matching Conjecture directly.

Let $\mathcal{F}$ be a family of graphs. The Turán number $ex(n;\mathcal{F})$ is defined to be the maximum number of edges in a graph of order $n$ that is $\mathcal{F}$-free. In 1959, Erdős and Gallai determined the Turán number of $M_{k+1}$ (a matching of size $k+1$) as follows: \[ ex(n;M_{k+1})= \max\left\{\binom{2k+1}{2},\binom{n}{2}-\binom{n-k}{2}\right\}. \] Since then, there has been a lot of research on Turán number of linear forests.
A linear forest is a graph whose connected components are all paths or isolated vertices. Let $\mathcal{L}_{n,k}$ be the family of all linear forests of order $n$ with $k$ edges. In this paper, we prove that \[ ex(n;\mathcal{L}_{n,k})= \max \left\{\binom{k}{2},\binom{n}{2}-\binom{n-\left\lfloor \frac{k-1}{2}\right \rfloor}{2}+ c \right\}, \] where $c=0$ if $k$ is odd and $c=1$ otherwise. This determines the maximum number of edges in a non-Hamiltonian graph with given Hamiltonian completion number and also solves two open problems in \cite{WY} as special cases.
Moreover, we show that our main theorem implies Erdős-Gallai Theorem and also gives a short new proof for it by the closure and counting techniques. Finally, we generalize our theorem to a conjecture which implies the famous Erdős Matching Conjecture.

For a set of graphs $\mathcal{F}$, the extremal number $ex(n;\mathcal{F})$ is the maximum number of edges in a graph of order $n$ not containing any subgraph isomorphic to some graph in $\mathcal{F}$. If $\mathcal{F}$ contains a graph on $n$ vertices, then we often call the problem a spanning Turán problem. A linear forest is a graph whose connected components are all paths and isolated vertices. In this paper, we let $\mathcal{L}_n^k$ be the set of all linear forests of order $n$ with at least $n-k+1$ edges. We prove that when $n\geq 3k$ and $k\geq 2$, \[ ex(n;\mathcal{L}_n^k)=\binom{n-k+1}{2}+ O(k^2). \] Clearly, the result is interesting when $k=o(n)$.
Decycling Number of Linear Graphs of Trees
The decycling number of a graph $G$ is the minimum number of vertices whose removal from $G$ results in an acyclic subgraph. It is known that determining the decycling number of a graph $G$ is equivalent to finding the maximum induced forests of $G$. The line graphs of trees are the claw-free block graphs. These graphs have been used by Erdős, Saks and Sós to construct graphs with a given number of edges and vertices whose maximum induced tree is very small. In this paper, we give bounds on the decycling number of line graphs of trees and construct extremal trees to show that these bounds are the best possible. We also give bounds on the decycling number of line graph of $k$-ary trees and determine the exact the decycling number of line graphs of perfect $k$-ary trees.

The contact map of a protein fold is a graph that represents the patterns of contacts in the fold. It is known that the contact map can be decomposed into stacks and queues. RNA secondary structures are special stacks in which the degree of each vertex is at most one and each arc has length at least two. Waterman and Smith derived a formula for the number of RNA secondary structures of length $n$ with exactly $k$ arcs. Höner zu Siederdissen et al. developed a folding algorithm for extended RNA secondary structures in which each vertex has maximum degree two. An equation for the generating function of extended RNA secondary structures was obtained by Müller and Nebel by using a context-free grammar approach, which leads to an asymptotic formula. In this paper, we consider $m$-regular linear stacks, where each arc has length at least $m$ and the degree of each vertex is bounded by two. Extended RNA secondary structures are exactly $2$-regular linear stacks. For any $m\geq 2$, we obtain an equation for the generating function of the $m$-regular linear stacks. For given $m$, we can deduce a recurrence relation and an asymptotic formula for the number of $m$-regular linear stacks on $n$ vertices. To establish the equation, we use the reduction operation of Chen, Deng and Du to transform an $m$-regular linear stack to an $m$-reduced zigzag (or alternating) stack. Then we find an equation for $m$-reduced zigzag stacks leading to an equation for $m$-regular linear stacks.

As the size of a multiprocessor system increases, processor failure is inevitable, and fault identification in such a system is crucial for reliable computing. The fault diagnosis is the process of identifying faulty processors in a multiprocessor system through testing. For the practical fault diagnosis systems, the probability that all neighboring processors of a processor are faulty simultaneously is very small, and the conditional diagnosability, which is a new metric for evaluating fault tolerance of such systems, assumes that every faulty set does not contain all neighbors of any processor in the systems. This paper shows that the conditional diagnosability of bubble sort graphs $B_n$ under the PMC model is $4n-11$ for $n \geq 4$, which is about four times its ordinary diagnosability under the PMC model.
The critical group of $K_m\vee P_n$ and $P_m\vee P_n$
Let $G_1\sq G_2$ denote the graph obtained from $G_1+G_2$ by adding new edges from each vertex of $G_1$ to every vertex of $G_2$. In this paper, the critical groups of the graphs $K_m\sq P_n$$(n\geq4)$ and $P_m\sq P_n$$(m\geq4,n\geq5)$ are determined.
