Combinatorial construction of Russell's series for partition classes defined by Capparelli, Meurman, Primc, and Primc in the $k$=1 Case
Recently, Capparelli, Meurman, A. Primc and M. Primc introduced a class of colored partitions which has since been called CMPP partitions. This generalized earlier work by M. Primc and Šikić, and by Trupčević. One main reason why CMPP partitions are significant is the authors' conjecture that the generating functions are infinite products in all cases. CMPP partitions are true extensions of the partition classes in the Rogers-Ramanujan-Gordon identities which are defined by difference conditions. As such, a natural question is to look for generating functions similar to the series side of Andrews-Gordon identities. Russell found such bivariate series for one case. He used symbolic computation in the proofs. We will combinatorially interpret Russell's bivariate series in a base partition and moves setting, and supply some missing cases, as well.
An Alternative Generating Function for $k$-Regular Partitions
We construct a $k$-fold $q$-series as a generating function of $k$-regular partitions for each positive integer $k$. The $k=1$ case is one of Euler's $q$-series identities pertaining to the partitions into distinct parts. The construction is combinatorial. Although we find a connection to Bessel polynomials in the $k=2$ case, this note is certainly not a study of Bessel polynomials and their $q$-analogs.
Finding systems of functional equations for Andrews-Gordon type series
We develop a search algorithm for systems of $q$-difference equations satisfied by Andrews-Gordon type double series. We then couple the search algorithm with Euler's algorithm for finding infinite products to narrow the search space. We exemplify some findings of the algorithm, along with their proofs. We also explain some of the double series in a base partition and moves framework.
A Decomposition of Cylindric Partitions and Cylindric Partitions into Distinct Parts
We show that cylindric partitions are in one-to-one correspondence with a pair which has an ordinary partition and a colored partition into distinct parts. Then, we show the general form of the generating function for cylindric partitions into distinct parts and give some examples. We prove part of a conjecture by Corteel, Dousse, and Uncu. The approaches and proofs are elementary and combinatorial.
Modulo $d$ extension of parity results in Rogers-Ramanujan-Gordon type overpartition identities
Sang, Shi and Yee, in 2020, found overpartition analogs of Andrews' results involving parity in Rogers-Ramanujan-Gordon identities. Their result partially answered an open question of Andrews'. The open question was to involve parity in overpartition identities. We extend Sang, Shi, and Yee's work to arbitrary moduli, and also provide a missing case in their identities. We also unify proofs of Rogers-Ramanujan-Gordon identities for overpartitions due to Lovejoy and Chen et.al.; Sang, Shi, and Yee's results; and ours. Although verification type proofs are given for brevity, a construction of series as solutions of functional equations between partition generating functions is sketched.
Combinatorial constructions of generating functions of cylindric partitions with small profiles into unrestricted or distinct parts
In this paper, cylindric partitions into profiles $c=(1,1)$ and $c=(2,0)$ are considered. The generating functions into unrestricted cylindric partitions and cylindric partitions into distinct parts with these profiles are constructed. The constructions are combinatorial and they connect the cylindric partitions with ordinary partitions.
Construction of Evidently Positive Series and An Alternative Construction for a Family of Partition Generating Functions due to Kanade and Russell
We give an alternative construction for a family of partition generating functions due to Kanade and Russell. In our alternative construction, we use ordinary partitions instead of jagged partitions. We also present new generating functions which are evidently positive series for partitions due to Kanade and Russell. To obtain those generating functions, we first construct an evidently positive series for a key infinite product. In that construction, a series of combinatorial moves is used to decompose an arbitrary partition into a base partition together with some auxiliary partitions that bijectively record the moves.
A combinatorial construction for two formulas in Slater's List
We set up a combinatorial framework for inclusion-exclusion on the partitions into distinct parts to obtain an alternative generating function of partitions into distinct and non-consecutive parts. In connection with Rogers-Ramanujan identities, the generating function yields two formulas in Slater's list. The same formulas were constructed by Hirschhorn. Similar formulas were obtained by Bringmann, Mahlburg and Nataraj. We also use staircases to give alternative triple series for partitions into $d-$distinct parts for any $d \geq 2$.
Andrews-Gordon Type Series for Schur's Partition Identity
We construct an evidently positive multiple series as a generating function for partitions satisfying the multiplicity condition in Schur's partition theorem.
Refinements of the series when parts in the said partitions are classified according to their parities or values mod 3 are also considered.
Direct combinatorial interpretations of the series are provided.
Andrews-Gordon Type Series for Kanade-Russell Conjectures
We construct Andrews-Gordon type evidently positive series as generating functions of partitions satisfying certain difference conditions in six conjectures by Kanade and Russell. We construct generating functions for missing partition enumerants, naturally without claiming new partition identities. Thus, we obtain $q$-series conjectures as companions to Kanade and Russell's combinatorial conjectures.
Andrews-Gordon Type Series for Capparelli's and Göllnitz-Gordon Identities
We construct Andrews-Gordon type evidently positive series as generating functions for the partitions satisfying the difference conditions imposed by Capparelli's identities and Göllnitz-Gordon identities. The construction involves building base partitions, and move parts around subject to certain rules. Some missing cases are also considered, but no new identities are given.
Bressoud Style Identities for Regular Partitions and Overpartitions
We construct a family of partition identities which contain the following identities: Rogers-Ramanujan-Gordon identities, Bressoud's even moduli generalization of them, and their counterparts for overpartitions due to Lovejoy et al. and Chen et al. We obtain unusual companion identities to known theorems as well as to the new ones in the process. The proof is, against tradition, constructive and open to automation.
Andrews Style Partition Identities
We propose a method to construct a variety of partition identities at once. The main application is an all-moduli generalization of some of Andrews' results in [5]. The novelty is that the method constructs solutions to functional equations which are satisfied by the generating functions. In contrast, the conventional approach is to show that a variant of well-known series satisfies the system of functional equations, thus reconciling two separate lines of computations.
