Matchings and shape-Wilf-Equivalence of sets of patterns of length three I: Triples
Permutation pattern avoidance on Ferrers boards has become a central topic in enumerative combinatorics with important connections to matchings, set partitions, and other combinatorial structures as it allows one to build families of Wilf-equivalent patterns. While shape-Wilf-equivalence classes have been completely determined for individual patterns and pairs of patterns of length three, the corresponding classification for larger pattern sets has remained open. In this paper, we provide a complete classification of the shape-Wilf-equivalence classes of triples of patterns of length three. Our proofs use a bijective encoding of pattern avoiding transversals to establish all equivalence classes. As an application, we enumerate matchings avoiding triples of patterns of length three for all but two equivalence classes, extending previous results of Bloom and Elizalde. These enumerative results identify additional families of combinatorial objects counted by the Fuss-Catalan numbers and by other integer sequences appearing in the OEIS.
Asymmetric Catalan and Shi Hyperplane Arrangements
In this paper, we study the regions of asymmetric extensions of the Catalan and Shi arrangements. We first determine the characteristic polynomials of a general class of Catalan and Shi arrangements using the finite field method, thereby obtaining explicit formulas for the number of regions. We then introduce two new classes of combinatorial objects: $\mathbf{c}$-labelled Dyck paths and $\mathbf{c}$-building functions, which generalize classical Dyck paths and parking functions, respectively. We prove that the regions of the asymmetric Catalan arrangement are in natural bijection with $\mathbf{c}$-labelled Dyck paths, while those of the asymmetric Shi arrangement are in natural bijection with $\mathbf{c}$-building functions. This resolves a problem proposed by Theo Douvropoulos during the 2022 Oberwolfach Workshop on Enumerative Combinatorics. In particular, our results extend Stanley's celebrated correspondence between $m$-parking functions and the regions of the $m$-Shi arrangement by introducing new combinatorial models and developing entirely different proof techniques.

Families of Shape-Wilf-Equivalent Claw-Shaped Partially Ordered Patterns
Partially ordered patterns (POPs) generalize classical permutation patterns and have been extensively studied in the contexts of permutations, words, compositions, and partitions. Burstein, Han, Kitaev, and Zhang established the shape-Wilf-equivalence for individual claw-shaped POPs. In this paper, we extend their result by proving that certain families of claw-shaped POPs are shape-Wilf-equivalent and enumerate the number of permutations avoiding that set of claw-shaped POPs. Our approach is based on a new encoding process, which is entirely different from the method used in their work.

An integral family of quasi-strongly regular Cayley graphs
Quasi-strongly regular graphs form a significant generalization of strongly regular graphs. We study the eigenvalues of a family of such graphs, $Γ_H(G)$, constructed from a finite group $G$ and a subgroup $H$. Our main results include a sufficient condition for $Γ_H(G)$ to be integral and an explicit computation of its entire spectrum when $H$ is normal, revealing that the spectrum in this case depends only on $|G|$ and the index $[G:H]$.
Ordinal and disjoint sums of partially ordered patterns
Partially ordered patterns (POPs) generalize the classical notion of permutation patterns within the framework of pattern avoidance. Building on recent work by Burstein, Han, Kitaev, and Zhang, which introduced the concept of shape-Wilf-equivalence of sets of patterns, we develop the notions of \emph{ordinal} and \emph{disjoint sums} of labeled posets. This framework enables us to reinterpret their main result as an ordinal sum analogue of the classical theorem by Backelin, West, and Xin. We establish analogous results for disjoint sums of POPs and further extend their results to prove Wilf-equivalence for classes of POPs that include isolated vertices. In particular, we prove the shape-Wilf-equivalence of the sets of patterns $\{123, 213, 312\}$ and $\{132, 231, 321\}$. Our proof strategy involves a bijection that filters through an encoding scheme for the transversals avoiding these patterns. We use these results to completely classify the partially ordered patterns of size $3,4,5$ whose connected components are all chains. This classification also confirms a conjecture posed by Dimitrov at the problem session of the British Combinatorics Conference 2024 (BCC30).

On a family of quasi-strongly regular Cayley graphs
In this paper, we construct a family of quasi-strongly regular Cayley graphs $Γ_H(G)$ which is defined on a finite group $G$ with respect to a subgroup $H$ of $G$. We also compute its full automorphism group and characterize various transitivity properties of it.

On Automorphism Group of a Family of Symmetric Graphs
In this paper, we study the automorphism group and geodesic transitivity of a family of vertex-transitive graphs $H(n,k)$, introduced by Fu-Tao Hu \textit{et.al.} in 2010. In the process, we address some naturally arising, unanswered questions from that paper.
On Difference of Enhanced Power Graph and Power Graph of a Finite Group
Published in Journal of Combinatorial Theory, Series A Volume 208 , November 2024, 105932 • View PublicationBIB
The difference graph $D(G)$ of a finite group $G$ is the difference of enhanced power graph of $G$ and power graph of $G$, with all isolated vertices are removed. In this paper we study the connectedness and perfectness of $D(G)$ with respect to various properties of the underlying group $G$. We also find several connection between the difference graph of $G$ and the Gruenberg-Kegel graph of $G$.

On Perfectness of Annihilating-Ideal Graph of $\mathbb{Z}_n$
Published • View PublicationBIB
The annihilating-ideal graph of a commutative ring $R$ with unity is defined as the graph $\mathbb{AG}(R)$ with the vertex set is the set of all non-zero ideals with non-zero annihilators and two distinct vertices $I$ and $J$ are adjacent if and only if $IJ = 0$. Nikandish {\it et.al.} proved that $\mathbb{AG}(\mathbb{Z}_n)$ is weakly perfect. In this short paper, we characterize $n$ for which $\mathbb{AG}(\mathbb{Z}_n)$ is perfect.

A Family of Tetravalent Half-transitive Graphs
Published • View PublicationBIB
In this paper, we introduce a new family of graphs, $Γ(n,a)$. We show that it is an infinite family of tetravalent half-transitive Cayley graphs. Apart from that, we determine some structural properties of $Γ(n,a)$.
