Quantum chromatic numbers of some graphs in Hamming schemes
The study of quantum chromatic numbers of graphs is a hot research topic in recent years. However, the infinite family of graphs with known quantum chromatic numbers are rare, as far as we know, the only known such graphs (except for complete graphs, cycles, bipartite graphs and some trivial cases) are the Hadamard graphs $H_n$ with $2^n$ vertices and $n$ a multiple of $4$. In this paper, we consider the graphs in Hamming schemes, we determined the quantum chromatic numbers of one class of such graphs. Notably, this is the second known family of graphs whose quantum chromatic numbers are explicitly determined except for some cases aforementioned. We also provide some bounds for the quantum chromatic numbers of some other graphs in Hamming schemes. Consequently, we can obtain the quantum chromatic numbers of products of some graphs.

Let $Γ$ denote a distance-regular graph with diameter $D\geq 3$. Jurišić and Vidali conjectured that if $Γ$ is tight with classical parameters $(D,b,α,β)$, $b\geq 2$, then $Γ$ is not locally the block graph of an orthogonal array nor the block graph of a Steiner system. In the present paper, we prove this conjecture and, furthermore, extend it from the following aspect. Assume that for every triple of vertices $x, y, z$ of $Γ$, where $x$ and $y$ are adjacent, and $z$ is at distance $2$ from both $x$ and $y$, the number of common neighbors of $x$, $y$, $z$ is constant. We then show that if $Γ$ is locally the block graph of an orthogonal array (resp. a Steiner system) with smallest eigenvalue $-m$, $m\geq 3$, then the intersection number $c_2$ is not equal to $m^2$ (resp. $m(m+1)$). Using this result, we prove that if a tight distance-regular graph $Γ$ is not locally the block graph of an orthogonal array or a Steiner system, then the valency (and hence diameter) of $Γ$ is bounded by a function in the parameter $b=b_1/(1+θ_1)$, where $b_1$ is the intersection number of $Γ$ and $θ_1$ is the second largest eigenvalue of $Γ$.

Scaffolds are certain tensors arising in the study of association schemes, and have been (implicitly) understood diagrammatically as digraphs with distinguished "root" nodes and with matrix edge weights, often taken from Bose-Mesner algebras. In this paper, we first present a slight modification of Martin's conjecture (2021) concerning a duality of scaffolds whose digraphs are embedded in a closed disk in the plane with root nodes all lying on the boundary circle, and then show that this modified conjecture holds true if we restrict ourselves to the class of translation association schemes, i.e., those association schemes that admit abelian regular automorphism groups.

Let $Γ$ denote a $Q$-polynomial distance-regular graph with vertex set $X$ and diameter $D$. Let $A$ denote the adjacency matrix of $Γ$. For a vertex $x\in X$ and for $0 \leq i \leq D$, let $E^*_i(x)$ denote the projection matrix to the $i$th subconstituent space of $Γ$ with respect to $x$. The Terwilliger algebra $T(x)$ of $Γ$ with respect to $x$ is the semisimple subalgebra of $\mathrm{Mat}_X(\mathbb{C})$ generated by $A, E^*_0(x), E^*_1(x), \ldots, E^*_D(x)$. Let $V$ denote a $\mathbb{C}$-vector space consisting of complex column vectors with rows indexed by $X$. We say $Γ$ is pseudo-vertex-transitive whenever for any vertices $x,y \in X$, there exists a $\mathbb{C}$-vector space isomorphism $ρ:V\to V$ such that $(ρA - A ρ)V=0$ and $(ρE^*_i(x) - E^*_i(y)ρ)V=0$ for all $0\leq i \leq D$. In this paper, we discuss pseudo-vertex transitivity for distance-regular graphs with diameter $D\in \{2,3,4\}$. For $D=2$, we show that a strongly regular graph is pseudo-vertex-transitive if and only if all its local graphs have the same spectrum. For $D = 3$, we consider the Taylor graphs and show that they are pseudo-vertex transitive. For $D=4$, we consider the antipodal tight graphs and show that they are pseudo-vertex transitive.
The normalized Laplacians and random walks of the parallel subdivision graphs
The $k$-parallel subdivision graph $S_k(G)$ is generated from $G$ which each edge of $G$ is replaced by $k$ parallel paths of length 2. The $2k$-parallel subdivision graph $S_{2k}(G)$ is constructed from $G$ which each edge of $G$ is replaced by $k$ parallel paths of length 3. In this paper, the normalized Laplacian spectra of $S_k(G)$ and $S_{2k}(G)$ are given. They turn out that the multiplicities of the corresponding eigenvalues are only determined by $k$. As applications, the expected hitting time, the expected commute time and any two-points resistance distance between vertices $i$ and $j$ of $S_k(G)$, the normalized Laplacian spectra of $S_k(G)$ and $S_{2k}(G)$ with $r$ iterations are given. Moreover, the multiplicative degree Kirchhoff index, Kemeny's constant and the number of spanning tress of $S_k(G)$, $S_k^r(G)$, $S_{2k}(G)$ and $S_{2k}^r(G)$ are respectively obtained. Our results have generalized the previous works in Xie et al. and Guo et al. respectively.

A regular graph is co-edge regular if there exists a constant $μ$ such that any two distinct and non-adjacent vertices have exactly $μ$ common neighbors. In this paper, we show that for integers $s\ge 2$ and $n$ large enough, any co-edge-regular graph which is cospectral with the $s$-clique extension of the triangular graph $T((n)$ is exactly the $s$-clique extension of the triangular graph $T(n)$.

Let $G$ be a simple graph or hypergraph, and let $A(G),L(G),Q(G)$ be the adjacency, Laplacian and signless Laplacian tensors of $G$ respectively. The largest $H$-eigenvalues (resp., the spectral radii) of $L(G),Q(G)$ are denoted respectively by $λ_{\max}^L(G), λ_{\max}^Q(G)$ (resp., $ρ^L(G), ρ^Q(G)$). For a connected non-bipartite simple graph $G$, $λ_{\max}^L(G)=ρ^L(G) < ρ^Q(G)$. But this does not hold for non-odd-bipartite hypergraphs. We will investigate this problem by considering a class of generalized power hypergraphs $G^{k,\frac{k}{2}}$, which are constructed from simple connected graphs $G$ by blowing up each vertex of $G$ into a $\frac{k}{2}$-set and preserving the adjacency of vertices.
Suppose that $G$ is non-bipartite, or equivalently $G^{k,\frac{k}{2}}$ is non-odd-bipartite. We get the following spectral properties: (1) $ρ^L(G^{k,{k \over 2}}) =ρ^Q(G^{k,{k \over 2}})$ if and only if $k$ is a multiple of $4$; in this case $λ_{\max}^L(G^{k,\frac{k}{2}})<ρ^L(G^{k,{k \over 2}})$. (2) If $k\equiv 2 (\!\!\!\mod 4)$, then for sufficiently large $k$, $λ_{\max}^L(G^{k,\frac{k}{2}})<ρ^L(G^{k,{k \over 2}})$. Motivated by the study of hypergraphs $G^{k,\frac{k}{2}}$, for a connected non-odd-bipartite hypergraph $G$, we give a characterization of $L(G)$ and $Q(G)$ having the same spectra or the spectrum of $A(G)$ being symmetric with respect to the origin, that is, $L(G)$ and $Q(G)$, or $A(G)$ and $-A(G)$ are similar via a complex (necessarily non-real) diagonal matrix with modular-$1$ diagonal entries. So we give an answer to a question raised by Shao et al., that is, for a non-odd-bipartite hypergraph $G$, that $L(G)$ and $Q(G)$ have the same spectra can not imply they have the same $H$-spectra.

In particular we characterize the hypergraph(s) with maximum spectral radius over all unicyclic hypergraphs, linear or power unicyclic hypergraphs with given girth, linear or power bicyclic hypergraphs, respectively.
