Signed list edge coloring in graphs of bounded treewidth
Vizing conjectured that the list edge chromatic number of any graph with maximum degree $Δ$ is at most $Δ+ 1$. This conjecture has been confirmed for several important classes of graphs, in particular, Lang proved that it holds for all graphs of treewidth $3$. In this paper, we introduce the list edge coloring of signed graphs, a framework that generalizes both classical list edge coloring and the signed edge coloring introduced by Behr. We extend Lang's result by proving the signed analogue of Vizing's conjecture for all signed graphs of treewidth $3$, as well as for signed graphs of treewidth $4$ with maximum degree $Δ\ge 10$.
Reconfiguration graphs for vertex colorings of $P_5$-free graphs
For any positive integer $k$, the reconfiguration graph for all $k$-colorings of a graph $G$, denoted by $\mathcal{R}_k(G)$, is the graph where vertices represent the $k$-colorings of $G$, and two $k$-colorings are joined by an edge if they differ in color on exactly one vertex. Bonamy et al. established that for any $2$-chromatic $P_5$-free graph $G$, $\mathcal{R}_k(G)$ is connected for each $k\geq 3$. On the other hand, Feghali and Merkel proved the existence of a $7p$-chromatic $P_5$-free graph $G$ for every positive integer $p$, such that $\mathcal{R}_{8p}(G)$ is disconnected.
In this paper, we offer a detailed classification of the connectivity of $\mathcal{R} _k(G) $ concerning $t$-chromatic $P_5$-free graphs $G$ for cases $t=3$, and $t\geq4$ with $t+1\leq k \leq {t\choose2}$. We demonstrate that $\mathcal{R}_k(G)$ remains connected for each $3$-chromatic $P_5$-free graph $G$ and each $k \geq 4$. Furthermore, for each $t\geq4$ and $t+1 \leq k \leq {t\choose2}$, we provide a construction of a $t$-chromatic $P_5$-free graph $G$ with $\mathcal{R}_k(G)$ being disconnected. This resolves a question posed by Feghali and Merkel.
Signed circuit $6$-covers of signed $K_4$-minor-free graphs
Bermond, Jackson and Jaeger [{\em J. Combin. Theory Ser. B} 35 (1983): 297-308] proved that every bridgeless ordinary graph $G$ has a circuit $4$-cover and Fan [{\em J. Combin. Theory Ser. B} 54 (1992): 113-122] showed that $G$ has a circuit $6$-cover which together implies that $G$ has a circuit $k$-cover for every even integer $k\ge 4$. The only left case when $k = 2$ is the well-know circuit double cover conjecture. For signed circuit $k$-cover of signed graphs, it is known that for every integer $k\leq 5$, there are infinitely many coverable signed graphs without signed circuit $k$-cover and there are signed eulerian graphs that admit nowhere-zero $2$-flow but don't admit a signed circuit $1$-cover. Fan conjectured that every coverable signed graph has a signed circuit $6$-cover. This conjecture was verified only for signed eulerian graphs and for signed graphs whose bridgeless-blocks are eulerian. In this paper, we prove that this conjecture holds for signed $K_4$-minor-free graphs. The $6$-cover is best possible for signed $K_4$-minor-free graphs.
Hypergraph coverings and Ramanujan Hypergraphs
In this paper we investigate Ramanujan hypergraphs by using hypergraph coverings. We first show that the spectrum of a $k$-fold covering $\bar{H}$ of a connected hypergraph $H$ contains the spectrum of $H$, and that it is the union of the spectrum of $H$ and the spectrum of an incidence-signed hypergraph with $H$ as underlying hypergraph if $k=2$, which generalizes Bilu-Linial result on graph coverings. We give a lower bound for the second largest eigenvalue of a $d$-regular hypergraph by universal cover, which generalizes Alon-Boppana bound on $d$-regular graphs and Feng-Li bound on $(d,r)$-regular hypergraphs. By using interlacing family of polynomials, we prove that every $(d,r)$-regular hypergraph has a right-sided Ramanujan $2$-covering, and has a left-sided Ramanujan $2$-covering if the roots of the matching polynomial of its incident graph satisfy some condition. By Ramanujan $2$-coverings, we prove the existence of some families of infinite many left-sided or right-sided $(d,r)$-regular Ramanujan hypergraphs under certain conditions on $d$ and $r$.
The average degree of edge chromatic critical graphs with maximum degree seven
In this paper, by developing several new adjacency lemmas about a path on $4$ or $5$ vertices, we show that the average degree of 7-critical graphs is at least 6. It implies Vizing's planar graph conjecture for planar graphs with maximum degree $7$ and its extension to graphs embeddable in a surface with nonnegative Euler characteristic due to Sanders and Zhao (J. Combin. Theory Ser. B 83 (2001) 201-212 and J. Combin. Theory Ser. B 87 (2003) 254-263) and Zhang (Graphs and Combinatorics 16 (2000) 467-495).

A well-known theorem of Vizing states that if $G$ is a simple graph with maximum degree $Δ$, then the chromatic index $χ'(G)$ of $G$ is $Δ$ or $Δ+1$. A graph $G$ is class 1 if $χ'(G)=Δ$, and class 2 if $χ'(G)=Δ+1$; $G$ is $Δ$-critical if it is connected, class 2 and $χ'(G-e)<χ'(G)$ for every $e\in E(G)$. A long-standing conjecture of Vizing from 1968 states that every $Δ$-critical graph on $n$ vertices has at least $(n(Δ-1)+ 3)/2$ edges. We initiate the study of determining the minimum number of edges of class 1 graphs $G$, in addition, $χ'(G+e)=χ'(G)+1$ for every $e\in E(\overline{G})$. Such graphs have intimate relation to $(P_3; k)$-co-critical graphs, where a non-complete graph $G$ is $(P_3; k)$-co-critical if there exists a $k$-coloring of $E(G)$ such that $G$ does not contain a monochromatic copy of $P_3$ but every $k$-coloring of $E(G+e)$ contains a monochromatic copy of $P_3$ for every $e\in E(\overline{G})$. We use the bound on the size of the aforementioned class 1 graphs to study the minimum number of edges over all $(P_3; k)$-co-critical graphs. We prove that if $G$ is a $(P_3; k)$-co-critical graph on $n\ge k+2$ vertices, then \[e(G)\ge {k \over 2}\left(n- \left\lceil {k \over 2} \right\rceil - \varepsilon\right) + {\lceil k/2 \rceil+\varepsilon \choose 2},\] where $\varepsilon$ is the remainder of $n-\lceil k/2 \rceil $ when divided by $2$. This bound is best possible for all $k \ge 1$ and $n \ge \left\lceil {3k /2} \right\rceil +2$.

A star $k$-edge coloring is a proper edge coloring such that there are no bichromatic paths or cycles of length four. The smallest integer $k$ such that $G$ admits a star $k$-edge coloring is the star chromatic index of $G$. Deng \etal \cite{MR2933839}, and Bezegov{á} \etal \cite{MR3431294} independently proved that the star chromatic index of a tree is at most $\lfloor \frac{3Δ}{2} \rfloor$, and the bound is sharp. Han \etal \cite{MR3924408} strengthened the result to list version of star chromatic index, and proved that $\lfloor \frac{3Δ}{2} \rfloor$ is also the sharp upper bound for the list star chromatic index of trees. A generalized Halin graph is a plane graph that consists of a plane embedding of a tree $T$ with $Δ(T) \geq 3$, and a cycle $C$ connecting all the leaves of the tree such that $C$ is the boundary of the exterior face. In this paper, we prove that if $H := T \cup C$ is a generalized Halin graph with $|C| \neq 5$, then its list star chromatic index is at most \[ \max\left\{\left\lfloor\frac{θ(T) + Δ(T)}{2}\right\rfloor, 2 \left\lfloor\frac{Δ(T)}{2}\right\rfloor + 7\right\}, \] where $θ(T) = \max_{xy \in E(T)}\{d_{T}(x) + d_{T}(y)\}$. As a consequence, if $H$ is a (generalized) Halin graph with maximum degree $Δ\geq 13$, then the list star chromatic index is at most $\lfloor \frac{3Δ}{2} \rfloor$. Moreover, the upper bound for the list star chromatic index is sharp.

Let $G=(V,E)$ be a graph and let $r\ge 1$ be an integer. For a set $D \subseteq V$, define $N_r[x] = \{y \in V: d(x, y) \leq r\}$ and $D_r(x) = N_r[x] \cap D$, where $d(x,y)$ denotes the number of edges in any shortest path between $x$ and $y$. $D$ is known as an $r$-identifying code ($r$-locating-dominating set, respectively), if for all vertices $x\in V$ ($x \in V\backslash D$, respectively), $D_r(x)$ are all nonempty and different. In this paper, we provide complete results for $r$-identifying codes in paths and odd cycles; we also give complete results for 2-locating-dominating sets in cycles.
