Preservation of notion of large sets near zero over reals
The study of the size of subsets in a semigroup have shown that many of these subsets have strong combinatorial properties and contribute richly to the algebraic structure of the Stone-Cech compactification of a discrete semigroup. N. Hindman and D. Strauss have proved that if u, v $\in \mathbb{N}$, M is a u \times v matrix satisfying restrictions that vary with the notion of largeness and if $Ψ$ is a notion of large sets in $\mathbb{N}$ then $\{\vec{x} \in \mathbb{N}^v: M\vec{x} \in Ψ^u\}$ is large set in $\mathbb{N}^v$. In this article, we investigate the above result for various notions of largeness near zero in $\mathbb{R}^+$.

An Algebraic Proof of the Polynomial Version of van der Waerden's Theorem
The polynomial version of van der Waerden's theorem, proved using dynamical systems by V. Bergelson and A. Leibman in 1996, \cite{Bergelson1996}, significantly highlighted the role of dynamical systems in addressing problems related to monochromatic configurations within algebraic structures. In this paper, by introducing symbolic polynomials, we aim to provide an alternative proof of the polynomial version of van der Waerden's theorem relying solely on Stone-Čech compactification of an infinite discrete semigroup.

Følner, Banach, and translation density are equal and other new results about density in left amenable semigroups
In any semigroup $S$ satisfying the Strong Folner Condition, there are three natural notions of density for a subset $A$ of $S$: Folner density $d(A)$, Banach density $d^*(A)$, and translation density $d_t(A)$. If $S$ is commutative or left cancellative, it is known that these three notions coincide. We shall show that these notions coincide for every semigroup $S$ which satisfies the Strong Folner Condition. Using this fact, we solve a problem that has been open for decades, showing that the set of ultrafilters every member of which has positive Folner density is a two sided ideal of $βS$. We also show that, if $S$ is a left amenable semigroup, then the set of ultrafilters every member of which has positive Banach density is a two sided ideal of $βS$. We investigate the density properties of subsets of $S$ in the case in which the minimal left ideals of the Stone-Čech compactification $βS$ are singletons. This occurs in many familiar examples, including all semilattices and all semigroups which have a right zero. We show that this is equivalent to the statement that $S$ satisfies the Strong Folner Condition and that, for every subset $A$ of $S$, $d(A)\in \{0,1\}$. We also examine the relation between the density properties of two semigroups when one is a quotient of the other. The Folner density of a subset of $S$ is always determined by some Folner net in $S$. We show that an arbitrary Folner net in $S$ determines the density of all of the subsets of $S$. And we prove that, if $S$ and $T$ are left amenable semigroups, then $d^*(A\times B)=d^*(A)d^*(B)$ for every subset $A$ of $S$ and every subset $B$ of $T$.
Dynamical characterization of central sets in adequate partial semigroups
Using the methods from topological dynamics, H. Furstenberg introduced the notions of Central sets and proved the famous Central Sets Theorem which is the simultaneous extension of the van der Waerden and Hindman Theorem. Later N. Hindman and V. Bergelson found an equivalent formulation of Central sets in the set of natural numbers in terms of the algebra of the Stone-Čech compactification of discrete semigroups. The general case was proved by H. Shi and H. Yang. Using the notions of ultrafilters, J. McLeod introduced the notions of Central sets for commutative adequate partial semigroups, however for noncommutative cases, Central sets can be defined similarly. In this article, introducing the notions of topological dynamics for partial semigroup actions, we find an equivalent dynamical characterization of central sets in partial semigroups\footnote{Recently in \cite{GTG}, authors attempted to do the same but in a different approach.}. Throughout our article, we follow the approach of N. Hindman and D. Strauss [N. Hindman, and D. Strauss: Algebra in the Stone-\v Cech compactification: theory and applications, second edition, de Gruyter, Berlin, 2012.].

Partial semigroup partial dynamical systems and Partial Central Sets
H. Furstenberg defined Central sets in $\mathbb{N}$ by using the notions of topological dynamics, later Bergelson and Hindman characterized central sets in $\mathbb{N}$ and also in arbitrary semigroup in terms of algebra of Stone-Čech compactification of that set. We state the new notion of large sets in a partial semigroup setting and characterize the algebraic structure of the sets by using the algebra of Stone-Čech compactification. By using these notions, we introduce the \emph{Partial Semigroup Partial Dynamical System(PSPDS)} and show that topological dynamical characterization of central sets in a partial semigroup is equivalent to the usual algebraic characterization.

Multiplicative largeness of $\textit{de Polignac numbers}$
A number $m$ is said to be a $\textit{de Polignac number}$, if infinitely many pairs of consecutive primes exist, such that $m$ can be written as the difference of those consecutive prime numbers. Recently in [ W. D. Banks: Consecutive primes and IP sets, arXiv:2403.10637.], using arguments from the Ramsey theory, W. D. Banks proved that the collection of $\textit{de Polignac number}$ is an $IP^\star$ set (Though his original statement is relatively weaker, an iterative application of pigeonhole principle/ theory of ultrafilters shows that this statement is sufficient to conclude the set is $IP^\star$). As a consequence, we have this collection as an additively syndetic set. In this article, we show that this collection is also a multiplicative syndetic set. In our proof, we use combinatorial arguments and the tools from the algebra of the Stone-Čech compactification of discrete semigroups (for details see [N. Hindman, and D. Strauss: Algebra in the Stone-Čech Compactification: Theory and Applications, second edition, de Gruyter, Berlin,2012.]).

Multidimensional Stronger Central Sets Theorem and its Polynomial Extension
We establish and fully characterize the multidimensional extension of the Stronger Central Sets Theorem. Additionally, we develop a polynomial generalization of this result. Our approach utilizes tools from the Algebra of the Stone-Čech compactification of discrete semigroups. Several applications of these results are also discussed.

The interplay between additive and symmetric large sets and their combinatorial applications
The study of symmetric structures is a new trend in Ramsey theory. Recently in [7], Di Nasso initiated a systematic study of symmetrization of classical Ramsey theoretical results, and proved a symmetric version of several Ramsey theoretic results. In this paper Di Nasso asked if his method could be adapted to find new non-linear Diophantine equations that are partition regular [7,Final remarks (4)]. By analyzing additive, multiplicative, and symmetric large sets, we construct new partition regular equations that give a first affirmative answer to this question. A special case of our result shows that if $P$ is a polynomial with no constant term then the equation $x+P(y-x)=z+w+zw$, where $y\neq x$ is partition regular. Also we prove several new monochromatic patterns involving additive, multiplicative, and symmetric structures. Throughout our work, we use tools from the Algebra of the Stone-Čech Compactifications of discrete semigroups.

A combinatorial approach to exponential patterns in multiplicative $IP^{\star}$ sets in $\mathbb{N}$
In [On $IP^{\star}$sets and central sets, Combinatorica, 14 (1994) 269-277], N. Hindman and V.Bergelson proved additive $IP^{\star}$-sets contain finite sums and finite products of a single sequence. An analogous study was made by A. Sisto in [Exponential triples, Electronics Journal of Combinatorics, 18 (2011), no. 147], where he proved that multiplicative $IP^{\star}$-sets contain exponential $IP$ of type $I$ and finite sums of a single sequence as well as exponential $IP$ of type $II$ and finite products of another single sequence, using the algebra in the Stone-Čech Compactification of discrete semigroups. In this article, we will provide a combinatorial proof of the result of A. Sisto.

Combined exponential patterns in multiplicative $IP^{\star}$ sets
$IP$ sets play fundamental role in arithmetic Ramsey theory. A set is called an additive $IP$ set if it is of the form $FS\left(\langle x_{n}\rangle_{n\in \mathbb{N}}\right)=\left\{ \sum_{t\in H}x_{t}:H\right.$ is a nonempty finite subset of $\left.\mathbb{N}\right\}$, whereas it is called a multiplicative $IP$ set if it is of the form $FP\left(\langle x_{n}\rangle_{n\in \mathbb{N}}\right)=\left\{ \prod_{t\in H}x_{t}:H\right.$ is a nonempty finite subset of $\left. \mathbb{N}\right\}$ for some injective sequence $\langle x_{n}\rangle_{n\in \mathbb{N}}.$ An additive $IP^{\star}$ (resp. multiplicative $IP^{\star}$) set is a set which intersects every additive $IP$ set (resp. multiplicative $IP$ set). In \cite{key-1}, V. Bergelson and N. Hindman studied how rich additive $IP^{\star}$ sets are. They proved additive $IP^{\star}$ sets ($AIP^{\star}$ in short) contain finite sums and finite products of a single sequence. An analogous study was made by A. Sisto in\cite{key-3}, where he proved that multiplicative $IP^{\star}$ sets ($MIP^{\star}$ in short) contain exponential tower\footnote{will be defined later} and finite product of a single sequence. However exponential patterns can be defined in two different ways. In this article we will prove that $MIP^{\star}$ sets contain two different exponential patterns and finite product of a single sequence. This immediately improves the result of A. Sisto. We also construct a $MIP^\star$ set, not arising from the recurrence of measurable dynamical systems. Throughout our work we will use the machinery of the algebra of the Stone-Čech Compactification of $\mathbb{N}$.

A Study on Filter Version of Strongly Central Sets
Using the notions of Topological dynamics, H. Furstenberg defined central sets and proved the Central Sets Theorem. Later V. Bergelson and N. Hindman characterized central sets in terms of algebra of the Stone-Čech compactification of discrete semigroup. They found that central sets are the members of the minimal idempotents of \b{eta}S, the Stone-Čech compactification of a semigroup (S, .). Hindman and leader introduced the notion of Central set near zero algebraically. Later dynamical and combinatorial characterization have also been established. For any given filter F in S a set A is said to be a F- central set if it is a member of a minimal idempotent of a closed subsemigroup of \b{eta}S, generated by the filter F. In a recent article Bergelson, Hindman and Strauss introduced strongly central and very strongly central sets in [BHS]. They also dynamically characterized the sets in the same paper. In the present article we will characterize the strongly F- central sets dynamically and combinatorially. Here we introduce the filter version of strongly central sets and very strongly central sets. We also provide dynamical and combinatorial characterization of such sets.

Cartesian product of combinatorially rich sets -- algebraic, elementary and dynamical approaches
Using the methods of topological dynamics, H. Furstenberg introduced the notion of a central set and proved the famous Central Sets Theorem. D. De, N. Hindman, and D. Strauss introduced $C$-set, satisfying the strong central set theorem. Using the algebraic structure of the Stone-Čech compactification of a discrete semigroup, N. Hindman and D. Strauss proved that the Cartesian product of two $C$-sets is a $C$-set. S. Goswami has proved the same result using the elementary characterization of $C$-sets. In this article, we will prove that the product of two $C$-sets is a $C$-set, using the dynamical characterization of $C$-sets. Recently, S. Goswami has proved that the Cartesian product of two $CR$-sets is a $CR$-set, which was a question posed by N. Hindman, H. Hosseini, D. Strauss, and M. Tootkaboni in [Semigroup Forum 107 (2023)]. Here we also prove that the Cartesian product of two essential $CR$-sets is an essential $CR$-set.

Essential $\mathcal{F}$-sets of $\mathbb{N}$ under nonhomogeneous spectra
Let $α>0$ and $0<γ<1$. Define $g_{α,γ}:\mathbb{N}\rightarrow\mathbb{N}$ by $g_{α,γ}\left(n\right)=\lfloorαn+γ\rfloor$. The set $\left\{ g_{α,γ}\left(n\right):n\in\mathbb{N}\right\} $ is called the nonhomogeneous spectrum of $α$ and $γ$. We refer to the maps $g_{α,γ}$ as nonhomogeneous spectra. In \cite{BHK}, Bergelson, Hindman and Kra showed that if $A$ is an $IP$-set, a central set, an $IP^{\star}$-set, or a central$^{\star}$-set, then $g_{α,γ}\left[A\right]$ is the corresponding objects. Hindman and Johnsons extended this result to include several other notions of largeness: $C$-sets, $J$-sets, strongly central sets, piecwise syndetic sets, $AP$-sets syndetic set, $C^{\star}$-sets, strongly central$^{\star}$- sets . In \cite{DHS}, De, Hindman and Strauss introduced $C$-set and $J$-set and showed that $C$-sets satisfy the conclusion of the Central Sets Theorem. To prepare this article, we have been strongly motivated by the fact that $C$-sets are essential $\mathcal{J}$-sets. In this article, we prove some new results regarding nonhomogeneous spectra of essential $\mathcal{F}$-sets for shift invariant $\mathcal{F}$-sets. We have a special interest in the family $\mathcal{HSD}=\left\{ A\subseteq\mathbb{N}:\sum_{n\in A}\frac{1}{n}=\infty\right\} $ as this family is directly connected with the famous Erdős sum of reciprocal conjecture and as a consequence we get $g_{α,γ}\left[\mathbb{P}\right]\in\mathcal{HSD}$, where $\mathbb{P}$ is the set of prime numbers in $\mathbb{N}$. Throughout this article, we use some elementary techniques and algebra of the Stone-Čech compactifications of discrete semigroups.

Abundance of arithmetic progressions in $\mathcal{CR}$-sets
H.Furstenberg and E.Glasner proved that for an arbitrary $k\in\mathbb{N}$, any piecewise syndetic set of integers contains a $k$-term arithmetic progression and the collection of such progressions is itself piecewise syndetic in $\mathbb{Z}.$ The above result was extended for arbitrary semigroups by V. Bergelson and N. Hindman, using the algebra of the Stone-Čech compactification of discrete semigroups. However, they provided an abundance for various types of large sets. In \cite{DHS}, the first author, Neil Hindman and Dona Strauss introduced two notions of large sets, namely, $J$-set and $C$-set. In \cite{BG}, V. Bergelson and D. Glasscock introduced another notion of largeness, which is analogous to the notion of $J$-set, namely $\mathcal{CR}$- set. All these sets contain arithmetic progressions of arbitrary length. In \cite{DG}, the second author and S. Goswami proved that for any $J$-set, $A\subseteq\mathbb{N}$, the collection $\{(a,b):\,\{a,a+b,a+2b,\ldots,a+lb\}\subset A\}$ is a $J$-set in $(\mathbb{N\times\mathbb{N}},+)$. In this article, we prove the same for $\mathcal{CR}$-sets.

Dynamical characterization of central sets along filter

Using the notions of Topological dynamics, H. Furstenberg defined central sets and proved the Central Sets Theorem. Later V. Bergelson and N. Hindman characterized central sets in terms of algebra of the Stone-Čech Compactification of discrete semigroup. They found that central sets are the members of the minimal idempotents of $βS$, the Stone-Čech Compactification of a semigroup $\left(S,\cdot\right)$. We know that any closed subsemigroup of $βS$ is generated by a filter. We call a set $A$ to be a $\mathcal{F}$-central set if it is a member of a minimal idempotent of a closed subsemigroup of $βS$, generated by the filter $\mathcal{F}$. In this article we will characterize the $\mathcal{F}$-central sets dynamically.

Central Sets Theorem along filters and some combinatorial consequences
Published • View PublicationBIB
The Central Sets Theorem was introduced by H. Furstenberg and then afterwards several mathematicians have provided various versions and extensions of this theorem. All of these theorems deal with central sets, and its origin from the algebra of Stone-Cech compactification of arbitrary semigroup, say $βS$. It can be proved that every closed subsemigroup of $βS$ is generated by a filter. We will show that, under some restrictions, one can derive the Central Sets Theorem for any closed subsemigroup of $βS$ . We will derive this theorem using the corresponding filter and its algebra. Later we will also deal with how the notions of largeness along filters are preserved under some well behaved homomorphisms and give some consequences.

Hales-Jewett type configurations in small sets
Published • View PublicationBIB
In a recent work, N. Hindman, D. Strauss and L. Zamboni have shown that the Hales-Jewett theorem can be combined with a sufficiently well behaved homomorphisms. Their work was completely algebraic in nature, where they have used the algebra of Stone-Cech compactification of discrete semigroup. They have proved the existence of those configurations in piecewise syndetic sets, which is a Ramsey theoretic rich set. In our work we will show those forms are still present in very small but Ramsey theoretic sets, (like J-set, C-set) and our proof is purely elementary in nature.

A combinatorial viewpoint on preserving notion of largeness and an abstract Rado theorem
In this paper we will systematically study the preservation of the notion of largeness of sets, arises from the algebraic structure of Stone-Cech compactification, under homomorphism and difference group. Some of these results were studied previously using algebra of Stone-Cech compactification. But our approach is purely combinatorial.

And also study the mixing properties arises from essential F sets.

A combinatorial approach to central to theorem
H. Furstenberg introduced the notion of central set in terms of topological dynamics and established the central set theorem. The essence of central set theorem is that it is the simultaneous extension of van der Waerden's theorem and Hindman's theorem. Later V. Bergelson and N. Hindman established a connection between central sets and the algebra of Stone-cech compactification and proved that the central sets are the member of minimal idempotent ultrafilter of discrete semigroup. In some subsequent papers the central set theorem has been studied more deeply and some generalizations has been established. Those works use the techniques of Stone-Cech compactification of discrete semigroup. In this work we will prove central set theorem via combinatorial approach using the combinatorial characterization of central set established by N. Hindman, A. Malkeki and D. Strauss. Though we will use the combinatorial approach but the technique of the proof is similar to the proof of D. De, N. Hindman, D. Strauss.
