Convolutive sequences, II: Parametrizations
In recent work, the authors defined a sequence $(a_n)_{n\ge 0}$ to be $m$-convolutive exactly if
\begin{align*}
\sum_{n\ge 0} a_{mn} q^n = \left(\sum_{n\ge 0} a_n q^n\right)^m
\end{align*}
for a specific positive integer $m$ and provided proofs of the $2$- and $3$-convolutivity of a small number of sequences arising from primitive eta-products. Since the completion of that work, the authors have discovered many new instances of convolutive eta-products. The main focus of this work is to unify all but one of these instances in a parametric way.
Congruences for Overcubic Partition $k$-Tuples
In the last few years, a number of authors have proved divisibility properties satisfied by various functions which count the number of overcubic partition $k$--tuples of weight $n$ for small values of $k$. In this work, we use generating functions to prove some of their results as well as multiple infinite families of new congruences for overcubic partition $k$-tuples which do not yet appear in the literature. In particular, we focus on a new perspective which provides insights as to why these functions are often divisible by powers of 2, and we also prove families of congruences whose moduli are odd. For example, we prove that, for all $m\geq 0$, $\OL{b}_{4}(22m + 11) \equiv 0 \pmod{11}$ and we also prove infinite families such as $\OL{b}_{9l+2}(9m+3) \equiv 0 \pmod{3}$ for all $m,l\geq0$.
Arithmetic Properties Satisfied by a Recent Integer Partition Function of Dombos
In recent work of Dombos, the set of integer partitions of $n$ wherein the parts are either divisible by 4 or congruent to $\pm 1 \pmod{6}$ arose in a natural way. In this work, we will denote the function which counts the number of such partitions of $n$ by $dp(n)$. Using elementary generating function manipulations and classical $q$--series results, we prove several congruences satisfied by $dp(n)$. As an example, we prove that, for all $α\geq 1$ and all $n \geq 0$, \begin{equation*}
dp \left( 3^{2α+ 1}n + \frac{7 \cdot 9^α+ 1}{4} \right) \equiv 0 \pmod{3}. \end{equation*}
Arithmetic Properties of Colored Partitions Restricted by Parity of the Parts
Let $a_{r,s}(n)$ denote the number of mutlicolored partitions of $n$, wherein both even parts and odd parts may appear in one of $r$-colors and $s$-colors, respectively, for fixed $r,s\ge 1$. The paper aims to study arithmetic properties satisfied by $a_{r,s}(n)$, using elementary generating function manipulations and classical $q$-series techniques.
Elementary Proofs and Generalizations of Recent Congruences of Thejitha and Fathima
Motivated by recent work of Hirschhorn and the author, Thejitha and Fathima recently considered arithmetic properties satisfied by the function $a_5(n)$ which counts the number of integer partitions of weight $n$ wherein even parts come in only one color (i.e., they are monochromatic), while the odd parts may appear in one of five colors. They proved two sets of Ramanujan--like congruences satisfied by $a_5(n)$, relying heavily on modular forms. In this note, we prove their results via purely elementary means, utilizing generating function manipulations and elementary $q$-series dissections. We then extensively generalize these two sets of congruences to infinite families of divisibility properties in which the results of Thejitha and Fathima are specific instances.
Arithmetic properties of $t$-Schur overpartitions
In a recent work, Nadji and Ahmia introduced the $t$-Schur overpartitions as an overpartition analogue for $t$-Schur partitions, which generalizes the classical Schur's partitions into parts congruent to $1$ or $5$ modulo $6$. We continue the study of this new class of overpartitions and prove several arithmetic results for the cases $t=3,9$ and $t$ being a power of $2$ or a power of $3$.
Elementary Proofs of Recent Congruences for Overpartitions Wherein Non-Overlined Parts are Not Divisible by 6
We define $\overline{R_l^*}(n)$ as the number of overpartitions of $n$ in which non-overlined parts are not divisible by $l$. In a recent work, Nath, Saikia, and the second author established several families of congruences for $\overline{R_l^*}(n)$, with particular focus on the cases $l=6$ and $l=8$. In the concluding remarks of their paper, they conjectured that $\overline{R_6^*}(n)$ satisfies an infinite family of congruences modulo $128$. In this paper, we confirm their conjectures using elementary methods. Additionally, we provide elementary proofs of two congruences for $\overline{R_6^*}(n)$ previously proven via the machinery of modular forms by Alanazi, Munagi, and Saikia.
Convolutive sequences, I: Through the lens of integer partition functions
Motivated by the convolutive behavior of the counting function for partitions with designated summands in which all parts are odd, we consider coefficient sequences $(a_n)_{n\ge 0}$ of primitive eta-products that satisfy the generic convolutive property
\begin{align*}
\sum_{n\ge 0} a_{mn} q^n = \left(\sum_{n\ge 0} a_n q^n\right)^m
\end{align*}
for a specific positive integer $m$. Given the results of an exhaustive search of the Online Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences for such sequences for $m$ up to $6$, we first focus on the case where $m=2$ with our attention mainly paid to the combinatorics of two $2$-convolutive sequences, featuring bijective proofs for both. For other $2$-convolutive sequences discovered in the OEIS, we apply generating function manipulations to show their convolutivity. We also give two examples of $3$-convolutive sequences. Finally, we discuss other convolutive series that are not eta-products.
A Family of Congruences Modulo 7 for Partitions with Monochromatic Even Parts and Multi--Colored Odd Parts
In recent work, Amdeberhan and Merca considered the integer partition function $a(n)$ which counts the number of integer partitions of weight $n$ wherein even parts come in only one color (i.e., they are monochromatic), while the odd parts may appear in one of three colors. One of the results that they proved was that, for all $n\geq 0$, $a(7n+2) \equiv 0 \pmod{7}$. In this work, we generalize this function $a(n)$ by naturally placing it within an infinite family of related partition functions. Using elementary generating function manipulations and classical $q$--series identities, we then prove infinitely many congruences modulo 7 which are satisfied by members of this family of functions.
Extending Recent Congruence Results on $(\ell,μ)$-Regular Overpartitions
Recently, Alanazi, Munagi, and Saikia employed the theory of modular forms to investigate the arithmetic properties of the function $\overline{R_{\ell,μ}}(n)$, which enumerates the overpartitions of $n$ where no part is divisible by either $\ell$ or $μ$, for various integer pairs $(\ell, μ)$. In this paper, we substantially extend several of their results and establish infinitely many families of new congruences. Our proofs are entirely elementary, relying solely on classical $q$-series manipulations and dissection formulas.
Overpartitions and Kaur, Rana, and Eyyunni's mex sequences
Kaur, Rana, and Eyyunni recently defined the mex sequence of a partition and established, by analytic methods, connections to two disparate types of partition-related objects. We make a bijection between partitions with certain mex sequences and a uniform family of overpartitions which allows us to provide combinatorial proofs of their results, as they requested.

A century ago, P. A. MacMahon introduced two families of generating functions, $$ \sum_{1\leq n_1<n_2<\cdots<n_t}\prod_{k=1}^t\frac{q^{n_k}}{(1-q^{n_k})^2} \quad\text{ and } \sum_{\substack{1\leq n_1<n_2<\cdots<n_t\\ \text{$n_1,n_2,\dots,n_t$ odd}}}\prod_{k=1}^t\frac{q^{n_k}}{(1-q^{n_k})^2}, $$ which connect sum-of-divisors functions and integer partitions. These have recently drawn renewed attention. In particular, Amdeberhan, Andrews, and Tauraso extended the first family above by defining $$ U_t(a,q):=\sum_{1\leq n_1<n_2<\cdots<n_t}\prod_{k=1}^t\frac{q^{n_k}}{1+aq^{n_k}+q^{2n_k}} $$ for $a=0, \pm1, \pm2$ and investigated various properties, including some congruences satisfied by the coefficients of the power series representations for $U_t(a,q)$. These arithmetic aspects were subsequently expanded upon by the authors of the present work. Our goal here is to generalize the second family of generating functions, where the sums run over odd integers, and then apply similar techniques to show new infinite families of Ramanujan--like congruences for the associated power series coefficients.
Extending recent work of Nath, Saikia, and Sarma on $k$-tuple $\ell$-regular partitions
Let $T_{\ell,k}(n)$ denote the number of $\ell$-regular $k$-tuple partitions of $n$. In a recent work, Nath, Saikia, and Sarma derived several families of congruences for $T_{\ell,k}(n)$, with particular emphasis on the cases $T_{2,3}(n)$ and $T_{4,3}(n)$. In the concluding remarks of their paper, they conjectured that $T_{2,3}(n)$ satisfies an infinite set of congruences modulo 6. In this paper, we confirm their conjecture by proving a much more general result using elementary $q$-series techniques. We also present new families of congruences satisfied by $T_{\ell,k}(n)$.
Arithmetic properties of MacMahon-type sums of divisors
In this paper, we prove several new infinite families of Ramanujan--like congruences satisfied by the coefficients of the generating function $U_t(a,q)$ which is an extension of MacMahon's generalized sum-of-divisors function. As a by-product, we also show that, for all $n\geq 0$, $\overline{B}_3(15n+7)\equiv 0 \pmod{5}$ where $\overline{B}_3(n)$ is the number of almost $3$-regular overpartitions of $n$.

In 2014, as part of a larger study of overpartitions with restrictions of the overlined parts based on residue classes, Munagi and Sellers defined $d_2(n)$ as the number of overpartitions of weight $n$ wherein only even parts can be overlined. As part of that work, they used a generating function approach to prove a parity characterization for $d_2(n)$. In this note, we give a combinatorial proof of their result and extend it to a modulus 4 characterization; we provide both generating function and combinatorial proofs of this stronger result. The combinatorial arguments incorporate classical involutions of Franklin, Glaisher, and Sylvester, along with a recent involution of van Leeuwen and methods new with this work.

A cubic partition is an integer partition wherein the even parts can appear in two colors. In this paper, we introduce the notion of generalized cubic partitions and prove a number of new congruences akin to the classical Ramanujan-type. We emphasize two methods of proofs, one elementary (relying significantly on functional equations) and the other based on modular forms. We close by proving analogous results for generalized overcubic partitions.
d-Fold Partition Diamonds
In this work we introduce new combinatorial objects called $d$--fold partition diamonds, which generalize both the classical partition function and the partition diamonds of Andrews, Paule and Riese, and we set $r_d(n)$ to be their counting function. We also consider the Schmidt type $d$--fold partition diamonds, which have counting function $s_d(n).$ Using partition analysis, we then find the generating function for both, and connect the generating functions $\sum_{n= 0}^\infty s_d(n)q^n$ to Eulerian polynomials. This allows us to develop elementary proofs of infinitely many Ramanujan--like congruences satisfied by $s_d(n)$ for various values of $d$, including the following family: for all $d\geq 1$ and all $n\geq 0,$ $s_d(2n+1) \equiv 0 \pmod{2^d}.$

The starting point for this work is the family of functions $\overline{p}_{-t}(n)$ which counts the number of $t$--colored overpartitions of $n.$ In recent years, several infinite families of congruences satisfied by $\overline{p}_{-t}(n)$ for specific values of $t\geq 1$ have been proven. In particular, in his 2023 work, Saikia proved a number of congruence properties modulo powers of 2 for $\overline{p}_{-t}(n)$ for $t=5,7,11,13$. He also included the following conjecture in that paper: \newline \
%\newline \noindent Conjecture: For all $n\geq 0$ and primes $t$, we have \begin{eqnarray*} \overline{p}_{-t}(8n+1) &\equiv & 0 \pmod{2}, \\ \overline{p}_{-t}(8n+2) &\equiv & 0 \pmod{4}, \\ \overline{p}_{-t}(8n+3) &\equiv & 0 \pmod{8}, \\ \overline{p}_{-t}(8n+4) &\equiv & 0 \pmod{2}, \\ \overline{p}_{-t}(8n+5) &\equiv & 0 \pmod{8}, \\ \overline{p}_{-t}(8n+6) &\equiv & 0 \pmod{8}, \\ \overline{p}_{-t}(8n+7) &\equiv & 0 \pmod{32}. \end{eqnarray*} Using a truly elementary approach, relying on classical generating function manipulations and dissections, as well as proof by induction, we show that Saikia's conjecture holds for {\bf all} odd integers $t$ (not necessarily prime).
New Infinite Families of Congruences Modulo Powers of 2 for 2--Regular Partitions with Designated Summands

In 2002, Andrews, Lewis, and Lovejoy introduced the combinatorial objects which they called {\it partitions with designated summands}. These are built by taking unrestricted integer partitions and designating exactly one of each occurrence of a part. In that same work, Andrews, Lewis, and Lovejoy also studied such partitions wherein all parts must be odd. Recently, Herden, Sepanski, Stanfill, Hammon, Henningsen, Ickes, and Ruiz proved a number of Ramanujan--like congruences for the function $PD_2(n)$ which counts the number of partitions of weight $n$ with designated summands wherein all parts must be odd. In this work, we prove some of the results conjectured by Herden, et. al. by proving the following two infinite families of congruences satisfied by $PD_2(n)$: For all $α\geq 0$ and $n\geq 0,$ \begin{eqnarray*} PD_2(2^α(4n+3)) &\equiv & 0 \pmod{4} \ \ \ \ \ {\textrm and} \\ PD_2(2^α(8n+7)) &\equiv & 0 \pmod{8}. \end{eqnarray*} All of the proof techniques used herein are elementary, relying on classical $q$--series identities and generating function manipulations.

Recently, Blecher and Knopfmacher explored the notion of fixed points in integer partitions and hypothesized on the relative number of partitions with and without a fixed point. We resolve their open question by working fixed points into a growing number of interconnected partition statistics involving Frobenius symbols, Dyson's crank, and the mex (minimal excluded part). Also, we generalize the definition of fixed points and connect that expanded notion to the $\text{mex}_j$ defined by Hopkins, Sellers, and Stanton as well as the $j$-Durfee rectangle defined by Hopkins, Sellers, and Yee.
