On finite groups whose power graphs satisfy certain connectivity conditions
Consider a graph $Γ$. A set $ S $ of vertices in $Γ$ is called a {cyclic vertex cutset} of $Γ$ if $Γ- S$ is disconnected and has at least two components containing cycles. If $Γ$ has a cyclic vertex cutset, then it is said to be {cyclically separable}. The {cyclic vertex connectivity} is the minimum cardinality of a cyclic vertex cutset of $Γ$. The power graph $\mathcal{P}(G)$ of a group $G$ is the undirected simple graph with vertex set $G$ and two distinct vertices are adjacent if one of them is a positive power of the other. If $G$ is a cyclic, dihedral, or dicyclic group, we determine the order of $G$ such that $\mathcal{P}(G)$ is cyclically separable. Then we characterize the equality of vertex connectivity and cyclic vertex connectivity of $\mathcal{P}(G)$ in terms of the order of $G$.
Characterizing finite groups whose order supergraphs satisfy a connectivity condition
Let $Γ$ be an undirected and simple graph. A set $ S $ of vertices in $Γ$ is called a {cyclic vertex cutset} of $Γ$ if $Γ- S$ is disconnected and has at least two components each containing a cycle. If $Γ$ has a cyclic vertex cutset, then it is said to be {cyclically separable}. For any finite group $G$, the order supergraph $\mathcal{S}(G)$ is the simple and undirected graph whose vertices are elements of $G$, and two vertices are adjacent if as elements of $G$ the order of one divides the order of the other. In this paper, we characterize the finite nilpotent groups and various non-nilpotent groups, such as the dihedral groups, the dicyclic groups, the EPPO groups, the symmetric groups, and the alternating groups, whose order supergraphs are cyclically separable.
Characterizations of $p$-groups whose power graphs satisfy certain connectivity conditions
Let $Γ$ be an undirected and simple graph. The {cyclic vertex connectivity} of $Γ$ is the minimum of cardinalities of the cyclic vertex cutsets of $Γ$. The {power graph} $\mathcal{P}(G)$ of a group $G$ is the undirected and simple graph whose vertices are the elements $G$ and two vertices are adjacent if one of them is the power of other in $G$. In this paper, we first characterize the finite $ p $-groups ($p$ is a prime number) whose power graphs are cyclically separable in terms of their maximal cyclic subgroups. Then we characterize the finite $ p $-groups whose power graphs have equal vertex connectivity and cyclic vertex connectivity.

The power graph of a finite group $G$ is a simple undirected graph with vertex set $G$ and two vertices are adjacent if one is a power of the other. The enhanced power graph of a finite group $G$ is a simple undirected graph whose vertex set is the group $G$ and two vertices $a$ and $b$ are adjacent if there exists $c \in G$ such that both $a$ and $b$ are powers of $c$. In this paper, we investigate the difference graph $\mathcal{D}(G)$ of a finite group $G$, which is the difference of the enhanced power graph and the power graph of $G$ with all isolated vertices removed. We study the difference graphs of finite groups with forbidden subgraphs among other results. We first characterize an arbitrary finite group $G$ such that $\mathcal{D}(G)$ is a chordal graph, star graph, dominatable, threshold graph, and split graph. From this, we conclude that the latter four graph classes are equivalent for $\mathcal{D}(G)$. By applying these results, we classify the nilpotent groups $G$ such that $\mathcal{D}(G)$ belong to the aforementioned five graph classes. This shows that all these graph classes are equivalent for $\mathcal{D}(G)$ when $G$ is nilpotent. Then, we characterize the nilpotent groups whose difference graphs are cograph, bipartite, Eulerian, planar, and outerplanar. Finally, we consider the difference graph of non-nilpotent groups and determine the values of $n$ such that the difference graphs of the symmetric group $S_n$ and alternating group $A_n$ are cograph, chordal, split, and threshold.

The power graph $\mathcal{P}(G)$ of a group $G$ is the simple graph with vertex set $G$ and two vertices are adjacent whenever one of them is a positive power of the other. In this paper, for a finite noncyclic nilpotent group $G$, we study the minimum degree $δ(\mathcal{P}(G))$ of $\mathcal{P}(G)$. Under some conditions involving the prime divisors of $|G|$ and the Sylow subgroups of $G$, we identify certain vertices associated with the generators of maximal cyclic subgroups of $G$ such that $δ(\mathcal{P}(G))$ is equal to the degree of one of these vertices. As an application, we obtain $δ(\mathcal{P}(G))$ for some classes of finite noncyclic abelian groups $G$.

The enhanced power graph $\mathcal{P}_e(G)$ of a group $G$ is a graph with vertex set $G$ and two vertices are adjacent if they belong to the same cyclic subgroup. In this paper, we consider the minimum degree, independence number and matching number of enhanced power graphs of finite groups. We first study these graph invariants for $\mathcal{P}_e(G)$ when $G$ is any finite group, and then determine them when $G$ is a finite abelian $p$-group, $U_{6n} = \langle a, b : a^{2n} = b^3 = e, ba =ab^{-1} \rangle$, the dihedral group $D_{2n}$, or the semidihedral group $SD_{8n}$. If $G$ is any of these groups, we prove that $\mathcal{P}_e(G)$ is perfect and then obtain its strong metric dimension. Additionally, we give an expression for the independence number of $\mathcal{P}_e(G)$ for any finite abelian group $G$. These results along with certain known equalities yield the edge connectivity, vertex covering number and edge covering number of enhanced power graphs of the respective groups as well.
On the minimum degree of the power graph of a finite cyclic group
The power graph $\mathcal{P}(G)$ of a finite group $G$ is the simple undirected graph whose vertex set is $G$, in which two distinct vertices are adjacent if one of them is an integral power of the other. For an integer $n\geq 2$, let $C_n$ denote the cyclic group of order $n$ and let $r$ be the number of distinct prime divisors of $n$. The minimum degree $δ(\mathcal{P}(C_n))$ of $\mathcal{P}(C_n)$ is known for $r\in\{1,2\}$, see [18]. For $r\geq 3$, under certain conditions involving the prime divisors of $n$, we identify at most $r-1$ vertices such that $δ(\mathcal{P}(C_n))$ is equal to the degree of at least one of these vertices. If $r=3$ or if $n$ is a product of distinct primes, we are able to identify two such vertices without any condition on the prime divisors of $n$.

The power graph of a group $G$ is a simple and undirected graph with vertex set $G$ and two distinct vertices are adjacent if one is a power of the other. In this article, we characterize (non-cyclic) finite groups of prime exponent and finite elementary abelian $2$-groups (of rank at least $2$) in terms of their power graphs.

In this article, various aspects of Laplacian spectra of power graphs of finite cyclic, dicyclic and finite $p$-groups are studied. Algebraic connectivity of power graphs of the above groups are considered and determined completely for that of finite $p$-groups. Further, the multiplicity of Laplacian spectral radius of power graphs of the above groups are studied and determined completely for that of dicyclic and finite $p$-groups. The equality of the vertex connectivity and the algebraic connectivity is characterized for power graphs of all of the above groups. Orders of dicyclic groups, for which their power graphs are Laplacian integral, are determined. Moreover, it is proved that the notion of equality of the vertex connectivity and the algebraic connectivity and the notion of Laplacian integral are equivalent for power graphs of dicyclic groups. All possible values of Laplacian eigenvalues are obtained for power graphs of finite $p$-groups. This shows that power graphs of finite $p$-groups are Laplacian integral.

The power graph of a group $G$ is the graph whose vertex set is $G$ and two distinct vertices are adjacent if one is a power of the other. In this paper, the minimum degree of power graphs of certain classes of cyclic groups, abelian $p$-groups, dihedral groups and dicyclic groups are obtained. It is ascertained that the edge-connectivity and minimum degree of power graphs are equal, and consequently the minimum disconnecting sets of power graphs of the aforementioned groups are determined. Then the equality of connectivity and minimum degree of power graphs of finite groups is investigated and in this connection, certain necessary conditions are produced. A necessary and sufficient condition for the equality of connectivity and minimum degree of power graphs of finite cyclic groups is obtained. Moreover, the equality is examined for the power graphs of abelian $p$-groups, dihedral groups and dicyclic groups.

The power graph of a group $G$ is the graph whose vertex set is $G$ and two distinct vertices are adjacent if one is a power of the other. This paper investigates the minimal separating sets of power graphs of finite groups. For power graphs of finite cyclic groups, certain minimal separating sets are obtained. Consequently, a sharp upper bound for their connectivity is supplied. Further, the components of proper power graphs of $p$-groups are studied. In particular, the number of components of that of abelian $p$-groups are determined.
