Perfect state transfer in Grover walks on normal Cayley graphs
A Cayley graph $\operatorname{Cay}(Γ,S)$ over a finite group $Γ$ is said to be normal if its connection set $S$ is a union of some conjugacy classes of $Γ$. This paper investigates perfect state transfer in Grover walks on normal Cayley graphs. The Grover walk is a widely studied discrete-time quantum walk. We establish a necessary and sufficient condition for the occurrence of perfect state transfer on normal Cayley graphs. As applications, we derive explicit spectral criteria for perfect state transfer on Cayley graphs over abelian groups, dicyclic groups, and dihedral groups. These results yield several infinite families of Cayley graphs exhibiting perfect state transfer. We further obtain simple combinatorial characterizations of the existence of perfect state transfer on Cayley graphs over dihedral and dicyclic groups. Our general characterization also recovers a number of previously known results as special cases. As a further consequence, we obtain a complete characterization of perfect state transfer on unitary Cayley graphs. In particular, we prove that exactly four graphs in the class of unitary Cayley graphs exhibit perfect state transfer.
On (distance) Laplacian characteristic polynomials of power graphs
Published in J. Algebra Appl. 24(14) (2024), Art. No. 2550003 • View PublicationBIB
The characteristic polynomials of the Laplacian and the distance Laplacian matrices of power graphs of groups of order $ pqr $, where $ p,q $ and $ r $ are { primes,} are obtained. Further, the characteristic polynomials of these matrices for proper power graphs of cyclic and dicyclic groups are given. The important inequalities for the zeros of the distance Laplacian characteristic polynomials of power graphs of finite groups are presented in comments.
CI-groups for ternary structures
We explicitly determine all CI-groups with respect to ternary relational structures that have the form $C \times D$, where $C$ is cyclic and $D$ is either a dicyclic group whose order is not divisible by $3$ or a dihedral group. Such groups are also CI-groups with respect to graphs and digraphs.
Characterizing Transfer Systems for Non-Abelian Groups
For a finite group $G$, the notion of a $G$-transfer system provides homotopy theorists with a combinatorial way to study equivariant objects. In this paper, we focus on the properties of transfer systems for non-abelian groups. We explicitly describe the width of all dihedral groups, quaternion groups, and dicyclic groups. For a given $G$, the set of all $G$-transfer systems forms a poset lattice under inclusion; these are a useful resource to homotopical combinatorialists for detecting patterns and checking conjectures. We expand the suite of known transfer system lattices for non-abelian groups including those which are dihedral, dicyclic, Frobenius, and alternating.

Regular sets in Cayley sum graphs on generalized dicyclic groups
For a graph $Γ=(V(Γ),E(Γ))$, a subset $C$ of $V(Γ)$ is called an $(α,β)$-regular set in $Γ$, if every vertex of $C$ is adjacent to exactly $α$ vertices of $C$ and every vertex of $V(Γ)\setminus C$ is adjacent to exactly $β$ vertices of $C$. In particular, if $C$ is an $(α,β)$-regular set in some Cayley sum graph of a finite group $G$ with connection set $S$, then $C$ is called an $(α,β)$-regular set of $G$. In this paper, we consider a generalized dicyclic group $G$ and for each subgroup $H$ of $G$, by giving an appropriate connection set $S$, we determine each possibility for $(α,β)$ such that $H$ is an $(α,β)$-regular set of $G$.

On finite groups whose power graphs satisfy certain connectivity conditions
Consider a graph $Γ$. A set $ S $ of vertices in $Γ$ is called a {cyclic vertex cutset} of $Γ$ if $Γ- S$ is disconnected and has at least two components containing cycles. If $Γ$ has a cyclic vertex cutset, then it is said to be {cyclically separable}. The {cyclic vertex connectivity} is the minimum cardinality of a cyclic vertex cutset of $Γ$. The power graph $\mathcal{P}(G)$ of a group $G$ is the undirected simple graph with vertex set $G$ and two distinct vertices are adjacent if one of them is a positive power of the other. If $G$ is a cyclic, dihedral, or dicyclic group, we determine the order of $G$ such that $\mathcal{P}(G)$ is cyclically separable. Then we characterize the equality of vertex connectivity and cyclic vertex connectivity of $\mathcal{P}(G)$ in terms of the order of $G$.

Characterizing finite groups whose order supergraphs satisfy a connectivity condition
Let $Γ$ be an undirected and simple graph. A set $ S $ of vertices in $Γ$ is called a {cyclic vertex cutset} of $Γ$ if $Γ- S$ is disconnected and has at least two components each containing a cycle. If $Γ$ has a cyclic vertex cutset, then it is said to be {cyclically separable}. For any finite group $G$, the order supergraph $\mathcal{S}(G)$ is the simple and undirected graph whose vertices are elements of $G$, and two vertices are adjacent if as elements of $G$ the order of one divides the order of the other. In this paper, we characterize the finite nilpotent groups and various non-nilpotent groups, such as the dihedral groups, the dicyclic groups, the EPPO groups, the symmetric groups, and the alternating groups, whose order supergraphs are cyclically separable.

(Total) Perfect codes in (extended) subgroup sum graphs
Given a finite group $G$ with identity $e$ and a normal subgroup $H$ of $G$, the subgroup sum graph $Γ_{G,H}$ (resp. extended subgroup sum graph $Γ_{G,H}^+$) of $G$ with respect to $H$ is the graph with vertex set $G$, in which distinct vertices $x$ and $y$ are adjacent whenever $xy\in H\setminus \{e\}$ (resp. $xy\in H$). A group $G$ is said to be {\em code-perfect} if for any normal subgroup $H$ of $G$, $Γ_{G,H}$ admits a perfect code. In this paper, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for which normal subgroups $H$ of $G$ satisfy that a (extended) subgroup sum graph of $G$ with respect to $H$ admits a (total) perfect code, and classify all code-perfect Dedekind groups. As an application, we classify all normal subgroups such that the subgroup sum graph of a cyclic group, a dihedral group or a dicyclic group with respect to such a normal subgroup admits perfect codes, respectively. We also determine all abelian groups $A$ and subgroups $H$ of $A$ such that $Γ_{A,H}$ admits a total perfect code.

Diagrammatics for dicyclic groups
Using that the dicyclic group is the type D subgroup of SU(2), we extend the Temperley-Lieb diagrammatics to give a diagrammatic presentation of the complex representation theory of the dicyclic group.

On a bipartite graph defined on groups
Let $G$ be a group and $L(G)$ be the set of all subgroups of $G$. We introduce a bipartite graph $\mathcal{B}(G)$ on $G$ whose vertex set is the union of two sets $G \times G$ and $L(G)$, and two vertices $(a, b) \in G \times G$ and $H \in L(G)$ are adjacent if $H$ is generated by $a$ and $b$. We establish connections between $\mathcal{B}(G)$ and the generating graph of $G$. We also discuss about various graph parameters such as independence number, domination number, girth, diameter, matching number, clique number, irredundance number, domatic number and minimum size of a vertex cover of $\mathcal{B}(G)$. We obtain relations between $\mathcal{B}(G)$ and certain probabilities associated to finite groups. We also obtain expressions for various topological indices of $\mathcal{B}(G)$. Finally, we realize the structures of $\mathcal{B}(G)$ for the dihedral groups of order $2p$ and $2p^2$ and dicyclic groups of order $4p$ and $4p^2$ (where $p$ is any prime) including certain other small order groups.

Enumeration of dicirculant digraphs
Let $T_{4p}=\langle a,b\mid a^{2p}=1,a^p=b^2, b^{-1}ab=a^{-1}\rangle$ be the dicyclic group of order $4p$. A Cayley digraph over $T_{4p}$ is called a dicirculant digraph. In this paper, we calculate the number of (connected) dicirculant digraphs of order $4p$ ($p$ prime) up to isomorphism by using the Pólya Enumeration Theorem. Moreover, we get the number of (connected) dicirculant digraphs of order $4p$ ($p$ prime) and out-degree $k$ for every $k$.
Main functions and the spectrum of super graphs
Let A be a graph type and B an equivalence relation on a group $G$. Let $[g]$ be the equivalence class of $g$ with respect to the equivalence relation B. The B superA graph of $G$ is an undirected graph whose vertex set is $G$ and two distinct vertices $g, h \in G$ are adjacent if $[g] = [h]$ or there exist $x \in [g]$ and $y \in [h]$ such that $x$ and $y$ are adjacent in the A graph of $G$. In this paper, we compute spectrum of equality/conjugacy supercommuting graphs of dihedral/dicyclic groups and show that these graphs are not integral.

Weak Freiman isomorphisms and sequencings of small sets
In this paper, we introduce a weakening of the Freiman isomorphisms between subsets of non necessarily abelian groups. Inspired by the breakthrough result of Kravitz, [14], on cyclic groups, as a first application, we prove that any subset of size $k$ of the dihedral group $D_{2m}$ (and, more in general, of a class of semidirect products) is sequenceable, provided that the prime factors of $m$ are larger than $k!$. Also, a refined bound of $k!/2$ for the size of the prime factors of $m$ can be obtained for cyclic groups $\mathbb{Z}_m$, slightly improving the result of [14]. Then, applying again the concept of weak Freiman isomorphism, we show that any subset of size $k$ of the dicyclic group $\mathrm{Dic}_{m}$ is sequenceable, provided that the prime factors of $m$ are larger than $k^k$.

Rational Delsarte designs and Galois fusions of association schemes
Published • View PublicationBIB
Delsarte theory, more specifically the study of codes and designs in association schemes, has proved invaluable in studying an increasing assortment of association schemes in recent years. Tools motivated by the study of error-correcting codes in the Hamming scheme and combinatorial $t$-designs in the Johnson scheme apply equally well in association schemes with irrational eigenvalues. We assume here that we have a commutative association scheme with irrational eigenvalues and wish to study its Delsarte $T$-designs. We explore when a $T$-design is also a $T'$-design where $T'\supseteq T$ is controlled by the orbits of a Galois group related to the splitting field of the association scheme. We then study Delsarte designs in the association schemes of finite groups, with a detailed exploration of the dicyclic groups.

The Generating graph of Dicyclic Groups
For a group $G,$ the generating graph of $G,$ denoted by $Γ(G).$ We define $Q_n=\langle x,y: x^{2n}=y^4=1, x^n=y^2,y^{-1}xy=x^{-1}\rangle,$ the dicyclic group of order $4n.$ This paper primarily delves into exploring the graph characteristics and spectral properties of various matrices associated with $Γ(Q_n)$. Specifically, we determine the complete spectrum of the adjacency, Laplacian, distance, and eccentricity matrices. Additionally, we completely determine the spectrum pertaining to the distance and eccentricity matrices of the dihedral group of order $2n$, denoted as $D_n$.

Non-Isomorphic Groups with Isomorphic Power and Commuting Graphs
The power graph of a group $G$ is a graph with vertex set $G$, in which two vertices are adjacent if one is some power of the other. In the commuting graph, with $G$ as the vertex set, two vertices are joined by an edge if they commute in $G$. The enhanced power graph of a group $G$ is a graph with vertex set $G$ and an edge joining two vertices $x$ and $y$ if $\langle x,y\rangle$ is cyclic. In this paper, we answer a question posed by P. J. Cameron, namely, if there exist groups $G$ and $H$ such that the power graph of $G$ is isomorphic to the commuting graph of $H$. We show that the answer is yes if $G$ is the generalised quaternion group and $H$ is the dihedral group. We also show that the enhanced power graph of the dicyclic group is isomorphic to the commuting graph of the dihedral group.

Pretty good fractional revival on Cayley graphs over dicyclic groups
In this paper, we investigate the existence of pretty good fractional revival on Cayley graphs over dicyclic groups. We first give a necessary and sufficient description for Cayley graphs over dicyclic groups admitting pretty good fractional revival. By this description, we give some sufficient conditions for Cayley graphs over dicyclic groups admitting or not admitting pretty good fractional revival.

Co-maximal subgroup graph characterized by forbidden subgraphs
In this communication, the co-maximal subgroup graph $Γ(G)$ of a finite group $G$ is examined when $G$ is a finite nilpotent group, finite abelian group, dihedral group $D_n$, dicyclic group $Q_{2^n}$, and $p$-group. We derive the necessary and sufficient conditions for $Γ(G)$ to be a cluster graph, triangle-free graph, claw-free graph, cograph, chordal graph, threshold graph and split graph. For the case of finite nilpotent group, we are able to classify it entirely. Moreover, we derive the complete structure of finite abelian group $G$ such that $Γ(G)$ is a split graph. We leave the readers with a few unsolved questions.

Fractional revival on semi-Cayley graphs over abelian groups
In this paper, we investigate the existence of fractional revival on semi-Cayley graphs over finite abelian groups. We give some necessary and sufficient conditions for semi-Cayley graphs over finite abelian groups admitting fractional revival. We also show that integrality is necessary for some semi-Cayley graphs admitting fractional revival. Moreover, we characterize the minimum time when semi-Cayley graphs admit fractional revival. As applications, we give examples of certain Cayley graphs over the generalized dihedral groups and generalized dicyclic groups admitting fractional revival.

Distance matrix of enhanced power graphs of finite groups
The enhanced power graph of a group $G$ is the graph $\mathcal{G}_E(G)$ with vertex set $G$ and edge set $ \{(u,v): u, v \in \langle w \rangle,~\mbox{for some}~ w \in G\}$. In this paper, we compute the spectrum of the distance matrix of the enhanced power graph of non-abelian groups of order $pq$, dihedral groups, dicyclic groups, elementary abelian groups $\mathrm{El}(p^n)$ and the non-cyclic abelian groups $\mathrm{El}(p^n)\times\mathrm{El}(q^m)$ and $\mathrm{El}(p^n)\times \mathbb{Z}_m$, where $p$ and $q$ are distinct primes. For the non-cyclic abelian group $\mathrm{El}(p^n)\times \mathrm{El}(q^m)$, we also compute the spectrum of the adjacency matrix of its enhanced power graph and the spectrum of the adjacency and the distance matrix of its power graph.
