Fractional revival on oriented Cayley and semi-Cayley graphs over abelian groups
Fractional revival (FR), a generalization of perfect state transfer (PST), is a significant phenomenon in quantum state transfer that allows quantum information to be transmitted between two qubits with a certain probability. The existence of FR has been extensively studied on many classes of graphs. However, oriented graphs have not yet been investigated. In this paper, we investigate the existence of proper FR on oriented graphs. We first establish necessary and sufficient conditions for oriented graphs to admit proper FR between strongly cospectral vertices. Furthermore, we prove that oriented Cayley graphs over abelian groups do not admit proper FR, and we subsequently characterize the conditions under which oriented semi-Cayley graphs over abelian groups admit proper FR.

On the generalized Turán number of the complete bipartite graph $K_{3,b+1}$
For graphs $F$ and $H$, let $\mathrm{ex}(n,H,F)$ denote the maximum number of copies of $H$ in an $n$-vertex $F$-free graph. Very recently, Janzer, Longbrake, and Yepremyan proved that for $3<a\leq b$ and sufficiently large $t$, \begin{equation*} \mathrm{ex}(n,K_{a,b},K_{3,t})=Θ_{a,b,t}(n^3). \end{equation*} Later, Hou, Hu, and Wang made this threshold explicit by showing that the conclusion holds for all $t\geq 2\max\{3,\lceil b/2\rceil\}+1$. In particular, for every even $b\geq 6$, this matches the necessary threshold $t=b+1$. In this paper, we resolve the remaining case where $b$ is odd. More precisely, we prove that for all fixed integers $b\geq 5$ and $3<a\leq b$, \begin{equation*} \mathrm{ex}(n,K_{a,b},K_{3,b+1})=Θ_{a,b}(n^3). \end{equation*} Our construction uses a finite-field point set in $\mathrm{PG}(5,q)$ together with an orthogonal polarity. The key new ingredient is the polynomial splitting lemma due to Andrade, Bary-Soroker, and Rudnick, which produces many planes whose intersections with the point set and their polar planes both have size $b$. This gives a $K_{3,b+1}$-free incidence graph while preserving $Ω_{a,b}(n^3)$ copies of $K_{a,b}$.

Strong counterexamples to Mubayi's supersaturation conjecture in every uniformity
The supersaturation problem asks, for a fixed $r$-graph $\mathcal F$, for the minimum number of copies of $\mathcal F$ in an $n$-vertex $r$-graph with $\ex(n,\mathcal F)+q$ edges. Mubayi conjectured a local form of supersaturation under a stability hypothesis: if $\mathcal F$ is non-$r$-partite and stable, meaning roughly that the extremal $\mathcal F$-free construction is unique and all near-extremal $\mathcal F$-free $r$-graphs are close to it, then this minimum should be at least $q c(n,\mathcal F)$, where $c(n,\mathcal F)$ is the minimum number of copies created by adding one edge to the extremal $\mathcal F$-free $r$-graph. We disprove this conjectured local lower bound in every uniformity. For every $r\ge2$ and every $K>1$, we construct a stable $r$-graph $\mathcal F$ such that, for all sufficiently large $n$ and every $1\le q\le δn$, there is an $n$-vertex $r$-graph with $\ex(n,\mathcal F)+q$ edges and at most $K^{-1}q c(n,\mathcal F)$ copies of $\mathcal F$. Thus the conjectured lower bound can already fail at $q=1$, and the failure can be by an arbitrarily large constant factor in every uniformity.

Codes and designs in multivariate $Q$-polynomial association schemes
We generalize the fundamental bounds of Delsarte thesis (1973) on codes of given degree and designs of given strength in the new setting of Bannai et al. (2025). We assume the scheme is weakly metric in the sense of (Solé, 1989). We give upper bounds on the size of codes of given degree, and also on the size of codes with a given number of pairwise distances. Codes meeting these bounds are characterized by the identification of suitable annihilators with the degree (resp. distance) Wilson polynomial. We give two analogues of the Rao bound on the size of designs with given strength. Designs meeting that bound we call degree tight designs or distance tight design depending on the bound met. In both cases, the existence of a tight design implies a Lloyd-like condition on a suitable analogue of the Wilson polynomial. Applications to the Lee distance, mixed level orthogonal arrays, ordered orthogonal arrays, and more are given. The formal duality between codes and designs, connecting perfect codes and tight designs, is made concrete in self-dual translation schemes.

The 3-restricted Edge-Connectivity of Strong Product Graphs
An edge subset \( S \subseteq E(G) \) is called a 3-restricted edge-cut if $G-S$ is disconnected and each component of \( G - S \) contains at least three vertices. The 3-restricted edge-connectivity of a graph \( G \), denoted by \( λ_3(G) \), is defined as the minimum cardinality among all 3-restricted edge-cuts if there are at least one; otherwise, \( λ_3(G) = +\infty \). It is proved that $λ_3(G)\leqξ_3(G)$ if $G$ has a 3-restricted edge-cut, where $ξ_3(G) = \min \{ |[X, V(G) \setminus X]_G||X \subseteq V(G),|X| = 3 \text{ and } G[X] \text{ is connected}\}.$ If \( λ_3(G) = ξ_3(G) \), then \( G \) is said to be maximally 3-restricted edge-connected. The strong product of graphs \( G \) and \( H \), denoted by \( G \boxtimes H \), is the graph with the vertex set $ V(G)\times V(H) $ and the edge set $ \{(x_{1},y_{1})(x_{2},y_{2})|x_{1}=x_{2}\text{ and }y_{1}y_{2}\in E(H);\text{ or }y_{1}=y_{2} $ and $ x_{1}x_{2}\in E(G) $; or $ x_{1}x_{2}\in E(G) $ and $ y_{1}y_{2}\in E(H)\}$. In this paper, we prove that \( G \boxtimes C_{n} \) is maximally 3-restricted edge-connected, and determine the 3-restricted edge-connectivity of \( G \boxtimes K_{n} \), where \( G \) is a maximally edge-connected graph, \( C_{n} \) and \( K_{n} \) are the cycle and the complete graph of order \( n \), respectively.

Spectral Turán Problems for Expanded hypergraphs
Given a graph $F$, the expansion $F^{(r)}$ of $F$ is defined as the $r$-uniform hypergraph obtained from $F$ by adding a set of $(r-2)$ distinct new vertices to each edge of $F$. In this paper, we investigate spectral stability results for hypergraphs and their applications. We first establish a spectral stability property: for any $r$-uniform hypergraph containing no copy of the expansion $F^{(r)}$ of a $(k+1)$-chromatic graph $F$, if its $p$-spectral is close to the extremal value, then the hypergraph is structurally close to $T_r(n, k)$, the complete $k$-partite $r$-uniform hypergraph on $n$ vertices where sizes of any two parts differ by at most one.Using this spectral stability result, we determine the unique extremal hypergraph that maximizes the $p$-spectral radius among all $n$-vertex $r$-uniform hypergraphs without $t$ vertex-disjoint copies of the expansion $K_{k+1}^{(r)}$ of $K_{k+1}$. We prove that this extremal hypergraph is isomorphic to $K_{t-1}^{r} \,\vee\, T_r(n-t+1, k)$, the join of the complete $r$-uniform hypergraph $K_{t-1}^{r}$ and $T_r(n-t+1, k)$.As a corollary, we show that $K_{t-1}^{r} \,\vee\, T_r(n-t+1, k)$ is the unique extremal hypergraph for $tK_{k+1}^{(r)}$, which extends a result of Pikhurko [J. Combin. Theory Ser. B, 103 (2013) 220--225] for expanded complete graphs.

Perfect codes in weakly metric association schemes
The Lloyd Theorem of (Solé, 1989) is combined with the Schwartz-Zippel Lemma of theoretical computer science to derive non-existence results for perfect codes in the Lee metric, NRT metric, mixed Hamming metric, and for the sum-rank distance. The proofs are based on asymptotic enumeration of integer partitions. The framework is the new concept of {\em polynomial} weakly metric association schemes. A connection between this notion and the recent theory of multivariate P-polynomial schemes of ( Bannai et al. 2025) and of $m$-distance regular graphs ( Bernard et al 2025) is pointed out.

Pair state transfer in tensor product and double cover
Quantum state transfer, first introduced by Bose in 2003, is an important physical phenomenon in quantum networks, which plays a vital role in quantum communication and quantum computing. In 2004, Christandl et al. proposed the concept of perfect state transfer on graphs by modeling the quantum network using graphs, and unveiled the feasibility of applying graph theory to quantum state transfer. In 2018, Chen and Godsil proposed the definition of Laplacian perfect pair state transfer on graphs, which is a brilliant generalization of perfect state transfer. In this paper, we investigate the existence of Laplacian perfect pair state transfer in tensor product and double cover of two regular graphs, respectively, and reveal fundamental connections between perfect state transfer and Laplacian perfect pair state transfer. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for the tensor product of two regular graphs to admit Laplacian perfect pair state transfer, where one of the two regular graphs admits perfect state transfer or Laplacian perfect pair state transfer. Additionally, we characterize the existence of Laplacian perfect pair state transfer in the double cover of two regular graphs. By our results, a variety of families of graphs admitting Laplacian perfect pair state transfer can be constructed.

Enumeration of Cayley graphs over a nonabelian group of order $8p$
Let $T_{8p} = \left\langle a,b\mid a^{2p}=b^8=e,a^p=b^4,b^{-1}ab=a^{-1} \right\rangle$ be a nonabelian group of order $8p$, where $p$ is an odd prime number. In this paper, we give the formula to calculate the number of Cayley graphs over $T_{8p}$ up to isomorphism by using the Pólya Enumeration Theorem. Moreover, we get the formula to calculate the number of connected Cayley graphs over $T_{8p}$ by deleting the disconnected graphs. By applying the results, we list the exact number of (connected) Cayley graphs for $3\leq p \leq 13$.

The asymptotic uniform distribution of subset sums
Let $G$ be a finite abelian group of order $n$, and for each $a\in G$ and integer $1\le h\le n$ let $\mathcal{F}_a(h)$ denote the family of all $h$-element subsets of $G$ whose sum is $a$. A problem posed by Katona and Makar-Limanov is to determine whether the minimum and maximum sizes of the families $\mathcal{F}_a(h)$ (as $a$ ranges over $G$) become asymptotically equal as $n\rightarrow \infty$ when $h=\left\lfloor\frac{n}{2}\right\rfloor$. We affirmatively answer this question and in fact show that the same asymptotic equality holds for every $4\leq h\leq \left\lfloor\frac{n}{2}\right\rfloor+1$.

Enumeration of dicirculant digraphs
Let $T_{4p}=\langle a,b\mid a^{2p}=1,a^p=b^2, b^{-1}ab=a^{-1}\rangle$ be the dicyclic group of order $4p$. A Cayley digraph over $T_{4p}$ is called a dicirculant digraph. In this paper, we calculate the number of (connected) dicirculant digraphs of order $4p$ ($p$ prime) up to isomorphism by using the Pólya Enumeration Theorem. Moreover, we get the number of (connected) dicirculant digraphs of order $4p$ ($p$ prime) and out-degree $k$ for every $k$.

Hypergraph Extensions of Spectral Turán Theorem
The spectral Turán theorem states that the $k$-partite Turán graph is the unique graph attaining the maximum adjacency spectral radius among all graphs of order $n$ containing no the complete graph $K_{k+1}$ as a subgraph. This result is known to be stronger than the classical Turán theorem. In this paper, we consider hypergraph extensions of spectral Turán theorem. For $k\geq r\geq 2$, let $H_{k+1}^{(r)}$ be the $r$-uniform hypergraph obtained from $K_{k+1}$ by enlarging each edge with a new set of $(r-2)$ vertices. Let $F_{k+1}^{(r)}$ be the $r$-uniform hypergraph with edges: $\{1,2,\ldots,r\} =: [r]$ and $E_{ij} \cup\{i,j\}$ over all pairs $\{i,j\}\in \binom{[k+1]}{2}\setminus\binom{[r]}{2}$, where $E_{ij}$ are pairwise disjoint $(r-2)$-sets disjoint from $[k+1]$. Generalizing the Turán theorem to hypergraphs, Pikhurko [J. Combin. Theory Ser. B, 103 (2013) 220--225] and Mubayi and Pikhurko [J. Combin. Theory Ser. B, 97 (2007) 669--678] respectively determined the exact Turán number of $H_{k+1}^{(r)}$ and $F_{k+1}^{(r)}$, and characterized the corresponding extremal hypergraphs. Our main results show that $T_r(n,k)$, the complete $k$-partite $r$-uniform hypergraph on $n$ vertices where no two parts differ by more than one in size, is the unique hypergraph having the maximum $p$-spectral radius among all $n$-vertex $H_{k+1}^{(r)}$-free (resp. $F_{k+1}^{(r)}$-free) $r$-uniform hypergraphs for sufficiently large $n$. These findings are obtained by establishing $p$-spectral version of the stability theorems. Our results offer $p$-spectral analogues of the results by Mubayi and Pikhurko, and connect both hypergraph Turán theorem and hypergraph spectral Turán theorem in a unified form via the $p$-spectral radius.

Laplacian pair state transfer in Q-graph
In 2018, Chen and Godsil proposed the concept of Laplacian perfect pair state transfer which is a brilliant generalization of Laplacian perfect state transfer. In this paper, we study the existence of Laplacian perfect pair state transfer in the Q-graph of an $r$-regular graph for $r\ge2$. We prove that the Q-graph of an $r$-regular graph does not have Laplacian perfect pair state transfer when $r+1$ is prime or a power of $2$. We also give a sufficient condition for Q-graph to have Laplacian pretty good pair state transfer.

The generalized 4-connectivity of godan graphs
The generalized $k$-connectivity of a graph $G$, denoted by $κ_k(G)$, is the minimum number of internally edge disjoint $S$-trees for any $S\subseteq V(G)$ and $|S|=k$. The generalized $k$-connectivity is a natural extension of the classical connectivity and plays a key role in applications related to the modern interconnection networks. The godan graph $EA_n$ is a kind of Cayley graphs which posses many desirable properties. In this paper, we shall study the generalized 4-connectivity of $EA_n$ and show that $κ_4(EA_n)=n-1$ for $n\ge 3$.

We give a necessary and sufficient condition for the integrality of Cayley graphs over $U_{6n}$. We also study relationships between the integrality of Cayley graphs over $U_{6n}$ and the Boolean algebra of cyclic groups. As applications, we construct some infinite families of connected integral Cayley graphs over $U_{6n}$.

The generalized 4-connectivity of burnt pancake graphs
The generalized $k$-connectivity of a graph $G$, denoted by $κ_k(G)$, is the minimum number of internally edge disjoint $S$-trees for any $S\subseteq V(G)$ and $|S|=k$. The generalized $k$-connectivity is a natural extension of the classical connectivity and plays a key role in applications related to the modern interconnection networks. An $n$-dimensional burnt pancake graph $BP_n$ is a Cayley graph which posses many desirable properties. In this paper, we try to evaluate the reliability of $BP_n$ by investigating its generalized 4-connectivity. By introducing the notation of inclusive tree and by studying structural properties of $BP_n$, we show that $κ_4(BP_n)=n-1$ for $n\ge 2$, that is, for any four vertices in $BP_n$, there exist ($n-1$) internally edge disjoint trees connecting them in $BP_n$.

Extremal problems for disjoint graphs
For a simple graph $F$, let $\mathrm{EX}(n, F)$ and $\mathrm{EX_{sp}}(n,F)$ be the set of graphs with the maximum number of edges and the set of graphs with the maximum spectral radius in an $n$-vertex graph without any copy of the graph $F$, respectively. Let $F$ be a graph with $\mathrm{ex}(n,F)=e(T_{n,r})+O(1)$. In this paper, we show that $\mathrm{EX_{sp}}(n,kF)\subseteq \mathrm{EX}(n,kF)$ for sufficiently large $n$. This generalizes a result of Wang, Kang and Xue [J. Comb. Theory, Ser. B, 159(2023) 20-41]. We also determine the extremal graphs of $kF$ in term of the extremal graphs of $F$.

Spectral extremal graphs for edge blow-up of star forests
The edge blow-up of a graph $G$, denoted by $G^{p+1}$, is obtained by replacing each edge of $G$ with a clique of order $p+1$, where the new vertices of the cliques are all distinct. Yuan [J. Comb. Theory, Ser. B, 152 (2022) 379-398] determined the range of the Turán numbers for edge blow-up of all bipartite graphs and the exact Turán numbers for edge blow-up of all non-bipartite graphs. In this paper we prove that the graphs with the maximum spectral radius in an $n$-vertex graph without any copy of edge blow-up of star forests are the extremal graphs for edge blow-up of star forests when $n$ is sufficiently large.
