Perfect state transfer in Grover walks on normal Cayley graphs
A Cayley graph $\operatorname{Cay}(Γ,S)$ over a finite group $Γ$ is said to be normal if its connection set $S$ is a union of some conjugacy classes of $Γ$. This paper investigates perfect state transfer in Grover walks on normal Cayley graphs. The Grover walk is a widely studied discrete-time quantum walk. We establish a necessary and sufficient condition for the occurrence of perfect state transfer on normal Cayley graphs. As applications, we derive explicit spectral criteria for perfect state transfer on Cayley graphs over abelian groups, dicyclic groups, and dihedral groups. These results yield several infinite families of Cayley graphs exhibiting perfect state transfer. We further obtain simple combinatorial characterizations of the existence of perfect state transfer on Cayley graphs over dihedral and dicyclic groups. Our general characterization also recovers a number of previously known results as special cases. As a further consequence, we obtain a complete characterization of perfect state transfer on unitary Cayley graphs. In particular, we prove that exactly four graphs in the class of unitary Cayley graphs exhibit perfect state transfer.
Perfect state transfer in Grover walks on dihedral Cayley graphs
The paper investigates perfect state transfer (PST) in Grover walks on Cayley graphs over the dihedral group $D_n$. The Grover walk is a discrete-time quantum walk widely studied in quantum information processing. A Cayley graph $\operatorname{Cay}(Γ,S)$ is called normal if $S$ is the union of some conjugacy classes of the group $Γ$; otherwise, it is called non-normal. Most existing studies have been restricted to Cayley graphs over abelian groups. In contrast, we investigate both normal and non-normal cases for Cayley graphs over the non-abelian group $D_n$. By examining the parity of $n$ and the normality of the Cayley graph, we obtain a complete characterization of PST on $\operatorname{Cay}(D_n,S)$. In particular, we establish necessary and sufficient conditions for the occurrence of PST in all possible cases, and prove that PST does not occur for normal Cayley graphs when $n$ is odd. Furthermore, we construct several infinite families of normal and non-normal Cayley graphs $\operatorname{Cay}(D_n,S)$ that exhibit PST, illustrating the application of the main result. Our approach is based on the representation theory of the dihedral group.
Laplacian Pair State Transfer on Total Graphs
The total graph of a graph $G$, denoted $\mathcal{T}(G)$, is defined as the graph whose vertex set is the union of the vertex set of $G$ and the edge set of $G$ such that two vertices of $\mathcal{T}(G)$ are adjacent if the corresponding elements of $G$ are adjacent or incident. In this paper, we investigate Laplacian perfect pair state transfer and Laplacian pretty good pair state transfer on $\mathcal{T}(G)$, where $G$ is an $r$-regular graph. We prove that if $r>2$ and $r+1$ is not a Laplacian eigenvalue of $G$, then $\mathcal{T}(G)$ fails to exhibit Laplacian perfect pair state transfer. We also prove that if $G$ is a complete graph on more than three vertices, then $\mathcal{T}(G)$ fails to exhibit Laplacian perfect pair state transfer. Further, we prove that under some mild conditions, $\mathcal{T}(G)$ exhibits Laplacian pretty good pair state transfer, where $G$ is an $r$-regular graph such that $r>2$ and $r+1$ is not a Laplacian eigenvalue of $G$. We use these conditions to obtain infinitely many total graphs exhibiting Laplacian pretty good pair state transfer.
State Transfer on Unitary Cayley Graphs and Quadratic Unitary Cayley Graphs
The unitary Cayley graph, denoted $X_n$, is the graph with vertex set ${\mathbb{Z}}_n$ such that two distinct vertices $a$ and $b$ are adjacent if $a-b=u$ for some $u$ with $1 \leq u \leq n-1$ and $\gcd(u,n) = 1$. The quadratic unitary Cayley graph, denoted $G_n$, is the graph with vertex set ${\mathbb{Z}}_n$ such that two distinct vertices $a$ and $b$ are adjacent if $a-b=u^2$ or $a-b=-u^2$ for some $u$ with $1 \leq u \leq n-1$ and $\gcd(u,n) = 1$. In this paper, we classify all $X_n$ admitting pretty good fractional. We also classify all $X_n$ that admit fractional revival. It turns out that $X_n$ admits fractional revival if and only if it admits pretty good fractional revival. Further, we classify all $G_n$ admitting periodicity. As a consequence, we obtain all $G_n$ admitting perfect state transfer. We also classify $G_n$ admitting pretty good state transfer, pretty good fractional revival and fractional revival.
Pretty good state transfer in Grover walks on abelian Cayley graphs
In this paper, we study pretty good state transfer (PGST) in Grover walks on graphs. We consider transfer of quantum states that are localized at the vertices of a graph and we use Chebyshev polynomials to analyze PGST between such states. In general, we find a necessary and sufficient condition for the occurrence of PGST on graphs. We then focus our analysis on abelian Cayley graphs and derive a necessary and sufficient condition for the occurrence of PGST on such graphs. Consequently, we obtain a complete characterization of PGST on unitary Cayley graphs. Our results yield infinite families of graphs that exhibit PGST but fail to exhibit perfect state transfer.
Perfect state transfer in Grover walks on association schemes and distance-regular graphs
This paper investigates perfect state transfer in Grover walks, a model of discrete-time quantum walks. We establish a necessary and sufficient condition for the occurrence of perfect state transfer on graphs belonging to an association scheme. Our focus includes specific association schemes, namely the Hamming and Johnson schemes. We characterize all graphs on the classes of Hamming and Johnson schemes that exhibit perfect state transfer. Furthermore, we study perfect state transfer on distance-regular graphs. We provide complete characterizations for exhibiting perfect state transfer on distance-regular graphs of diameter $2$ and diameter $3$, as well as integral distance-regular graphs.
On Hamiltonicity and Perfect Codes in Non-Cyclic Graphs of Finite Groups
Let \( G \) be a finite non-cyclic group. Define \( \mathrm{Cyc}(G) \) as the set of all elements \( a \in G \) such that for any $b\in G$, the subgroup \( \langle a, b \rangle \) is cyclic. The \emph{non-cyclic graph} $Γ(G)$ of \( G \) is a simple undirected graph with vertex set \( G \setminus \mathrm{Cyc}(G) \), where two distinct vertices \( x \) and \( y \) are adjacent if the subgroup \( \langle x, y \rangle \) is not cyclic. An independent subset $C$ of the vertex set of a graph $Γ$ is called a perfect code of $Γ$ if every vertex of $V(Γ)\setminus C$ is adjacent to exactly one vertex in $C$. A subset \( T \) of the vertex set a graph \( Γ\) is said to be a \emph{total perfect code} if every vertex of \( Γ\) is adjacent to exactly one vertex in \( T \). In this paper, we prove that the graph $Γ(G)$ is Hamiltonian for any finite non-cyclic nilpotent group $G$. Also, we characterize all finite groups such that their non-cyclic graphs admit a perfect code. Finally, we prove that for a non-cyclic nilpotent group $G$, the non-cyclic graph $Γ(G)$ does not admit total perfect code.
Pretty good fractional revival on abelian Cayley graphs
Let $Γ$ be a graph with the adjacency matrix $A$. The transition matrix of $Γ$, denoted $H(t)$, is defined as $H(t) := \exp(-\textbf{i}tA)$, where $\textbf{i} := \sqrt{-1}$ and $t$ is a real variable. The graph $Γ$ is said to exhibit fractional revival (FR in short) between the vertices $a$ and $b$ if there exists a positive real number $t$ such that $H(t){\textbf{e}_{a}} = α{\textbf{e}_{a}} + β{\textbf{e}_{b}}$, where $α, β\in \mathbb{C}$ such that $β\neq 0$ and $|α|^2 + |β|^2 = 1$. The graph $Γ$ is said to exhibit pretty good fractional revival (PGFR in short) between the vertices $a$ and $b$ if there exists a sequence of real numbers $\{t_k\}$ with $\lim_{k\to\infty} H(t_k){\textbf{e}_{a}} = α{\textbf{e}_{a}} + β{\textbf{e}_{b}}$, where $α, β\in \mathbb{C}$ such that $β\neq 0$ and $|α|^2 + |β|^2 = 1$. In the definition of PGFR, if $α=0$ then $Γ$ is said to exhibit pretty good state transfer (PGST in short) between $a$ and $b$. In this paper, we obtain some sufficient conditions for circulant graphs exhibiting PGFR. We also find some sufficient conditions for non-circulant abelian Cayley graphs exhibiting PGFR. From these sufficient conditions, we find infinite families of circulant graphs and non-circulant abelian Cayley graphs exhibiting PGFR that fail to exhibit FR and PGST. Finally, we obtain some necessary conditions for some families of circulant graphs exhibiting PGFR. Some of our results generalize the results of Chan et al. [Pretty good quantum fractional revival in paths and cycles. \textit {Algebr. Comb.} 4(6) (2021), 989-1004.] for cycles.
State transfer in Grover walks on unitary and quadratic unitary Cayley graphs over finite commutative rings
This paper focuses on periodicity and perfect state transfer of Grover walks on two well-known families of Cayley graphs, namely, the unitary Cayley graphs and the quadratic unitary Cayley graphs. Let $R$ be a finite commutative ring. The unitary Cayley graph $G_R$ has vertex set $R$, where two vertices $u$ and $v$ are adjacent if $u-v$ is a unit in $R$. We provide a necessary and sufficient condition for the periodicity of the Cayley graph $G_R$. We also completely determine the rings $R$ for which $G_R$ exhibits perfect state transfer. The quadratic unitary Cayley graph $\mathcal{G}_R$ has vertex set $R$, where two vertices $u$ and $v$ are adjacent if $u-v$ or $v-u$ is a square of some units in $R$. It is well known that any finite commutative ring $R$ can be expressed as $R_1\times\cdots\times R_s$, where each $R_i$ is a local ring with maximal ideal $M_i$ for $i\in\{1,...,s\}$. We characterize periodicity and perfect state transfer on $\mathcal{G}_R$ under the condition that $|R_i|/|M_i|\equiv 1 \pmod 4$ for $i\in\{1,...,s\}$. Also, we characterize periodicity and perfect state transfer on $\mathcal{G}_R$, where $R$ can be expressed as $R_0\times\cdots\times R_s$ such that $|R_0|/|M_0|\equiv3\pmod 4$, and $|R_i|/|M_i|\equiv1\pmod4$ for $i\in\{1,..., s\}$, where $R_i$ is a local ring with maximal ideal $M_i$ for $i\in\{0,...,s\}$.

The quadratic unitary Cayley graph $\mathcal{G}_{\mathbb{Z}_n}$ has vertex set $\mathbb{Z}_n: =\{0,1, \ldots ,n-1\}$, where two vertices $u$ and $v$ are adjacent if and only if $u - v$ or $v-u$ is a square of some units in $\mathbb{Z}_n$. This paper explores the periodicity and perfect state transfer of Grover walks on quadratic unitary Cayley graphs. We determine all periodic quadratic unitary Cayley graphs. From our results, it follows that there are infinitely many integral as well as non-integral graphs that are periodic. Additionally, we also determine the values of $n$ for which the quadratic unitary Cayley graph $\mathcal{G}_{\mathbb{Z}_n}$ exhibits perfect state transfer.
Perfect state transfer on Cayley graphs over a non-abelian group of order $8n$
The \textit{transition matrix} of a graph $Γ$ with adjacency matrix $A$ is defined by $H(τ) := \exp(-\mathbf{i}τA)$, where $τ\in \mathbb{R}$ and $\mathbf{i} = \sqrt{-1}$. The graph $Γ$ exhibits \textit{perfect state transfer} (PST) between the vertices $u$ and $v$ if there exists $τ_0(>0)\in \mathbb{R}$ such that $\lvert H(τ_0)_{uv} \rvert = 1$. For a positive integer $n$, the group $V_{8n}$ is defined as $V_{8n} := \langle a,b \colon a^{2n} = b^{4} = 1, ba = a^{-1}b^{-1}, b^{-1}a = a^{-1}b \rangle$. In this paper, we study the existence of perfect state transfer on Cayley graphs $\text{Cay}(V_{8n}, S)$. We present some necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of perfect state transfer on $\text{Cay}(V_{8n}, S)$.
Grover walks on unitary Cayley graphs and integral regular graphs
The unitary Cayley graph has vertex set $\{0,1, \hdots ,n-1\}$, where two vertices $u$ and $v$ are adjacent if $\gcd(u - v, n) = 1$. In this paper, we study periodicity and perfect state transfer of Grover walks on the unitary Cayley graphs. We characterize all periodic unitary Cayley graphs. We prove that periodicity is a necessary condition for occurrence of perfect state transfer on a vertex-transitive graph. Also, we provide a necessary and sufficient condition for the occurrence of perfect state transfer on circulant graphs. Using these, we prove that only four graphs in the class of unitary Cayley graphs exhibit perfect state transfer. Also, we provide a spectral characterization of the periodicity of Grover walks on integral regular graphs.
Quantum walks on blow-up graphs
A blow-up of $n$ copies of a graph $G$ is the graph $\overset{n}\uplus~G$ obtained by replacing every vertex of $G$ by an independent set of size $n$, where the copies of vertices in $G$ are adjacent in the blow-up if and only if the vertices adjacent in $G$. Our goal is to investigate the existence of quantum state transfer on a blow-up graph $\overset{n}\uplus~G$, where the adjacency matrix is taken to be the time-independent Hamiltonian of the quantum system represented by $\overset{n}\uplus~G$. In particular, we establish necessary and sufficient conditions for vertices in a blow-up graph to exhibit strong cospectrality and various types of high probability quantum transport, such as periodicity, perfect state transfer (PST) and pretty good state transfer (PGST). It turns out, if $\overset{n}\uplus~G$ admits PST or PGST, then one must have $n=2.$ Moreover, if $G$ has an invertible adjacency matrix, then we show that every vertex in $\overset{2}\uplus~G$ pairs up with a unique vertex to exhibit strong cospectrality. We then apply our results to determine infinite families of graphs whose blow-ups admit PST and PGST.

For $m \geq 3$ and $n \geq 1$, the $m$-cycle book graph $B(m,n)$ consists of $n$ copies of the cycle $C_m$ with one common edge. In this paper, we prove that (a) the number of switching non-isomorphic signed $B(m,n)$ is $n+1$, and (b) the chromatic number of a signed $B(m,n)$ is either 2 or 3. We also obtain explicit formulas for the chromatic polynomials and the zero-free chromatic polynomials of switching non-isomorphic signed book graphs.

RNA Number of Some Parity Signed Generalized Petersen Graphs
A signed graph $Σ=(G,σ)$ is said to be parity signed if there exists a bijection $f : V(G) \rightarrow \{1,2,...,|V(G)|\}$ such that $σ(uv)=+$ if and only if $f(u)$ and $f(v)$ are of same parity, where $uv$ is an edge of $G$. The rna number of a graph $G$, denoted $σ^{-}(G)$, is the minimum number of negative edges among all possible parity signed graphs over $G$. The rna number is also equal to the minimum cut size that has nearly equal sides.
In this paper, for generalized Petersen graph $P(n,k)$, we prove that $3 \leq σ^{-}(P(n,k)) \leq n$ and these bounds are sharp. The exact value of $σ^{-}(P(n,k))$ is determined for $k=1,2$. Some famous generalized Petersen graphs namely, Petersen graph $P(5,2)$, Durer graph $P(6,2)$, Mobius-Kantor graph $P(8,3)$, Dodecahedron $P(10,2)$, Desargues graph $P(10,3)$ and Nauru graph $P(12,5)$ are also treated.
We show that the minimum order of a $(4n-1)$-regular graph having rna number one is bounded above by $12n-2$. The sharpness of this upper bound is also shown for $n=1$. We also show that the minimum order of a $(4n+1)$-regular graph having rna number one is $8n+6$. Finally, for any simple connected graph of order $n$, we propose an $O(2^n + n^{\lfloor \frac{n}{2} \rfloor})$ time algorithm for computing its rna number.

If all the eigenvalues of the Hermitian-adjacency matrix of a mixed graph are integers, then the mixed graph is called \emph{H-integral}. If all the eigenvalues of the (0,1)-adjacency matrix of a mixed graph are \emph{Gaussian integers}, then the mixed graph is called \emph{Gaussian integral}. For any finite group $Γ$, we characterize the set $S$ for which the normal mixed Cayley graph $\text{Cay}(Γ, S)$ is H-integral. The \textit{mixed Cayley graph} $Cay(Γ,S)$ is a mixed graph on the vertex set $Γ$ and edge set $\{ (a,b): b-a\in S \}$, where $0\not\in S$. We characterize integral mixed Cayley graph $Cay(Γ,S)$ over abelian group in terms of its symbol set $S$.

A mixed graph is said to be \textit{integral} if all the eigenvalues of its Hermitian adjacency matrix are integer. The \textit{mixed circulant graph} $Circ(\mathbb{Z}_n,\mathcal{C})$ is a mixed graph on the vertex set $\mathbb{Z}_n$ and edge set $\{ (a,b): b-a\in \mathcal{C} \}$, where $0\not\in \mathcal{C}$. If $\mathcal{C}$ is closed under inverse, then $Circ(\mathbb{Z}_n,\mathcal{C})$ is called a \textit{circulant graph}. We express the eigenvalues of $Circ(\mathbb{Z}_n,\mathcal{C})$ in terms of primitive $n$-th roots of unity, and find a sufficient condition for integrality of the eigenvalues of $Circ(\mathbb{Z}_n,\mathcal{C})$. For $n\equiv 0 \Mod 4$, we factorize the cyclotomic polynomial into two irreducible factors over $\mathbb{Q}(i)$. Using this factorization, we characterize integral mixed circulant graphs in terms of its symbol set. We also express the integer eigenvalues of an integral oriented circulant graph in terms of a Ramanujan type sum, and discuss some of their properties.
