Complete characterization of disconnected one-point unions of cycles with local antimagic chromatic number 2
A graph $G = (V, E)$ that admits a bijective edge labeling $f:E \to\{1,\ldots ,|E|\}$ is local antimagic if $f$ induces a vertex labeling $f^+$ such that for any pair of adjacent vertices $x$ and $y$, $f^+(x)\not= f^+(y)$, where the induced vertex label $f^+(x)= \sum f(xu)$, with $u$ ranging over all the vertices adjacent to $x$. The minimum number of distinct induced vertex labels over all local antimagic labelings of $G$ is the local antimagic chromatic number of $G$, denoted $χ_{la}(G)$. In this paper, we completely characterize all the disconnected one-point unions of cycles (having at most 3 components) with local antimagic chromatic number 2. Our approach allows the complete characterization of all such graphs with at least 4 components by a case-by-case analysis and every edge is assigned a unique label, up to isomorphism.
Counterexamples to the local antimagic leaf conjecture
It has been conjectured that $χ_{\mathrm{la}}(T)\leq\ell(T)+2$ for every tree $T$ of order at least three, where $χ_{\mathrm{la}}(T)$ is the local antimagic chromatic number and $\ell(T)$ denotes the number of leaves. We disprove this bound and show that no absolute constant can replace $2$ in an inequality of this form. Our approach uses degree-based intervals containing all possible induced vertex weights under bijective edge labelings, together with a separation criterion that forces selected internal vertex weights to be distinct. We first construct caterpillars $T_3$ and $T_4$ satisfying $χ_{\mathrm{la}}(T_3)=\ell(T_3)+3$ and $χ_{\mathrm{la}}(T_4)=\ell(T_4)+4$, respectively. We then construct, for every positive integer $r$, infinitely many pairwise nonisomorphic caterpillars with exactly $r$ internal vertices for which every bijective edge labeling is antimagic. Each such caterpillar $T$ satisfies $χ_{\mathrm{la}}(T)=|V(T)|=\ell(T)+r$. Consequently, $χ_{\mathrm{la}}(T)-\ell(T)$ is unbounded even within the class of caterpillars, and no absolute constant $C$ can satisfy $χ_{\mathrm{la}}(T)\leq\ell(T)+C$ for every tree $T$.
Local Distance Antimagic Labeling of Neighborhood Balanced Colored Graphs
Let $G=(V,E)$ be a graph without isolated vertices. A bijection $f\colon V\to \{1,2,\dots,|V|\}$ is called a local distance antimagic labeling if $w(u)\not=w(v)$ for every edge $uv\in E$, where the weight $w(u)$ of a vertex $u$ is defined as the sum of labels assigned to all vertices adjacent to $u$. The local distance antimagic chromatic number of $G$, denoted by $χ_{ld}(G)$, is defined as the minimum number of colors taken over all colorings of $G$ induced by local distance antimagic labelings. In this paper, we investigate local distance antimagic labelings of the direct product and the union of certain classes of graphs, namely, neighborhood balanced $k$-colored graphs and nearly neighborhood balanced $k$-colored graphs.

Local Antimagic Chromatic Number of Middle Graph and Direct Product of Graphs
An edge labeling of a connected graph $G=(V, E)$ is called a local antimagic labeling if it is a bijection $f: E\rightarrow \{1, 2, \cdots, \left | E \right | \}$ such that for any pair of adjacent vertices $u$ and $v$, $f^{+}(u)\neq f^{+}(v)$ where $f^{+}(x)=\sum f(e)$, with $e$ ranging over all the edges incident to $x$. The local antimagic chromatic number of $G$, denoted $χ_{la}(G)$, is the minimum number of distinct induced vertex labels across all possible local antimagic labelings of $G$. This paper investigates two families of graphs $G(m^{[n]})$ (a graph class constructed by augmenting a bipartite structure $B(m^{[n]})$ with cyclic edges) and $K_{1,s}\times C_n$ (the direct product of a star $K_{1,s}$ and a cycle $C_n$). Under the conditions odd integer $m\ge 1$ and even integer $n\ge 4$, we establish the exact values of $χ_{la}(G(m^{[n]}))$ and $χ_{la}(K_{1,s}\times C_n)$ for various $s$. Furthermore, we characterize several graph families achieving $χ_{la}(G)=2$ or $3$.

Necessary and sufficient conditions of a class of bipartite graphs with local antimagic chromatic number 2 - an algebraic approach
For a connected graph $G = (V, E)$, a bijective edge labeling $f:E \to\{1,\ldots ,|E|\}$ is a local antimagic labeling of $G$ if it induces a vertex labeling $f^+$ such that for any pair of adjacent vertices $x$ and $y$, $f^+(x)\not= f^+(y)$, where the induced vertex label $f^+(x)= \sum f(xu)$, with $u$ ranging over all the vertices adjacent to $x$. The minimum number of distinct induced vertex labels over all local antimagic labelings of $G$ is the local antimagic chromatic number of $G$, denoted $χ_{la}(G)$. In this paper, we make use of algebraic analysis to obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for every bipartite graph with all vertices of degree 2 except exactly three vertices of degree at least $3$ (say, $u,v,w$, such that every $(u,v)$-, $(u,w)$- and $(v,w)$-path is of even length and not all are of length 2) to have local antimagic chromatic number 2. Moreover, we showed that the consecutive edge labels of every induced path of each case is unique.

A novel approach to determining chromatic number induced by labelings
Given a simple graph $G=(V,E)$ of order $p$ and size $q$, a bijection $f : V\cup E \to \{1, 2, \ldots, p+q\}$ is a local total neighborhood antimagic labeling of $G$ if the induced vertex coloring has the property $f^+_{tn}(u) \ne f^+_{tn}(v)$ for every two adjacent vertices $u$ and $v$ where $f^+_{tn}(u) = \sum (f(ux) + f(x))$ over every neighbor $x$ of $u$. The local total neighborhood antimagic chromatic number of $G$, denoted $χ_{ltna}(G)$ is the minimum number of distinct induced colors over all local total neighborhood antimagic labeling of $G$. In this paper, we determine the local total neighborhood antimagic chromatic number of the join of graphs with distinct parity orders.
The local antimagic (total) chromatic numbers of firecracker graphs and edge-corona product graphs
Let G=(V(G),E(G)) be a connected simple graph with n vertices and m edges. A bijection f from the edge set of G to [m] is called a local antimagic labeling of G, if for any two adjacent vertices u and v in G, the sums of the weights of the edges associated with u and v ,respectively, are different. Similarly, A bijection g from the union of edge set and vertex set of G to [n+m] is called a local antimagic total labeling of G, if for any two adjacent vertices u and v in G, The sum of the weight of u and the weights of its incident edges differs from that of v. Obviously, any local antimagic (total) labeling induces a proper vertex-coloring of G when every vertex v is assigned the color w(v)(w_t(v)). The local antimagic (total) chromatic number of G, denoted by X_la(G)(X_lat(G)) , is defined as the minimum number of colors taken over all colorings induced by local antimagic (total) labelings of G. In this paper, we present the local antimagic (total) chromatic number of firecracker graph F_n,k, obtained by the concatenation of n k-stars by linking one leaf from each. Then we give the local antimagic chromatic number of the edge-corona product of two graphs G and H, where the graph is constructed by taking one copy of G and |E(G)| disjoint copies of H one-to-one assigned to each edge of G, and for every edge uv of G, joining u and v to every vertex of the copy of H associated to uv. For the graph studied here, G is a star S_k or a double star S_k1,k2, and H is an empty graph with r vertices or a complete graph K_2.

Some Results on Local Distance Antimagic Chromatic Number of Graphs
Let G=(V,E) be a graph of order n without isolated vertices. A bijection f:V -- {1,2,...n} is called a local distance antimagic labeling if the weights of any two adjacent vertices are not equal, where the weight of a vertex is defined to be the sum of labels of adjacent vertices. The local distance antimagic chromatic number is defined to be the minimum number of colors taken over all colorings of G induced by local distance antimagic labelings of G. In this paper, we study the local distance antimagic chromatic number for the join of graphs and the lexicographic product of graphs with empty graphs.

It is known that null graphs and 1-regular graphs are the only regular graphs without local antimagic chromatic number. In this paper, we proved that the join of 1-regular graph and a null graph has local antimagic chromatic number is 3. Consequently, we also obtained many families of (possibly disconnected or regular) bipartite and tripartite graph with local antimagic chromatic number 3.

For a graph $G(V,E)$ of size $q$, a bijection $f : E(G) \to [1,q]$ is a local antimagc labeling if it induces a vertex labeling $f^+ : V(G) \to \mathbb{N}$ such that $f^+(u) \ne f^+(v)$, where $f^+(u)$ is the sum of all the incident edge label(s) of $u$, for every edge $uv \in E(G)$. In this paper, we make use of matrices of fixed sizes to construct several families of infinitely many tripartite graphs with local antimagic chromatic number 3.

It is known that null graphs and 1-regular graphs are the only regular graphs without local antimagic chromatic number. In this paper, we use matrices of size $(2m+1) \times (2k+1)$ to completely determine the local antimagic chromatic number of the join of null graphs, $O_m, m\ge 1,$ and 1-regular graphs of odd components, $(2k+1)P_2$, $k\ge 1$. Consequently, we obtained infinitely many (possibly disconnected or regular) tripartite graphs with local antimagic chromatic number 3.
Construction of local antimagic 3-colorable graphs of fixed even size -- matrix approach
An edge labeling of a connected graph $G = (V, E)$ is said to be local antimagic if it is a bijection $f:E \to\{1,\ldots ,|E|\}$ such that for any pair of adjacent vertices $x$ and $y$, $f^+(x)\not= f^+(y)$, where the induced vertex label $f^+(x)= \sum f(e)$, with $e$ ranging over all the edges incident to $x$. The local antimagic chromatic number of $G$, denoted by $χ_{la}(G)$, is the minimum number of distinct induced vertex labels over all local antimagic labelings of $G$. Suppose $χ_{la}(G)=χ_{la}(H)$ and $G_H$ is obtained from $G$ and $H$ by merging some vertices of $G$ with some vertices of $H$ bijectively. In this paper, we give ways to construct matrices with integers in $[1,10k]$, $k\ge 1$, that meet certain properties. Consequently, we obtained many families of (disconnected) bipartite (and tripartite) graphs of size $10k$ with local antimagic chromatic number 3.
Constructions of local antimagic 3-colorable graphs of fixed odd size | matrix approach
An edge labeling of a connected graph $G = (V, E)$ is said to be local antimagic if there is a bijection $f:E \to\{1,\ldots ,|E|\}$ such that for any pair of adjacent vertices $x$ and $y$, $f^+(x)\not= f^+(y)$, where the induced vertex label $f^+(x)= \sum f(e)$, with $e$ ranging over all the edges incident to $x$. The local antimagic chromatic number of $G$, denoted by $χ_{la}(G)$, is the minimum number of distinct induced vertex labels over all local antimagic labelings of $G$. In this paper, we give three ways to construct a $(3m+2)\times (2k+1)$ matrix that meets certain properties for $m=1,3$ and $k\ge 1$. Consequently, we obtained many (disconnected) graphs of size $(3m+2)(2k+1)$ with local antimagic chromatic number 3.

A total labeling of a graph $G = (V, E)$ is said to be local total antimagic if it is a bijection $f: V\cup E \to\{1,\ldots ,|V|+|E|\}$ such that adjacent vertices, adjacent edges, and incident vertex and edge have distinct induced weights where the induced weight of a vertex $v$, $w_f(v) = \sum f(e)$ with $e$ ranging over all the edges incident to $v$, and the induced weight of an edge $uv$ is $w_f(uv) = f(u) + f(v)$. The local total antimagic chromatic number of $G$, denoted by $χ_{lt}(G)$, is the minimum number of distinct induced vertex and edge weights over all local total antimagic labelings of $G$. In this paper, we first obtained general lower and upper bounds for $χ_{lt}(G)$ and sufficient conditions to construct a graph $H$ with $k$ pendant edges and $χ_{lt}(H) \in\{Δ(H)+1, k+1\}$. We then completely characterized graphs $G$ with $χ_{lt}(G)=3$. Many families of (disconnected) graphs $H$ with $k$ pendant edges and $χ_{lt}(H) \in\{Δ(H)+1, k+1\}$ are also obtained.

An algorithmic approach in constructing infinitely many even size graphs with local antimagic chromatic number 3
In this paper, we first introduce an algorithmic approach to construct a family of infinitely many even size non-regular tripartite graphs with $t\ge 1$ component(s) in which every component, called a {\it Luv} graph, is of odd order $p\ge 9$ and size $q=n(p+1)$ for $n\ge 2$. We show that every graph in this family has local antimagic chromatic number 3. We then allowed the $m$-th component to have order $p_m\ge 9$ and size $n_m(p_m+1)$ for $n_m\ge 2, 1\le m\le t$. We also proved that every such graph with all components having same order and size also has local antimagic chromatic number 3. Lastly, we constructed another family of infinitely many graphs such that different components may have different order and size all of which having local antimagic chromatic number 3. Consequently, many other families of (possibly disconnected) graphs with local antimagic chromatic number 3 are also constructed.

Local antimagic chromatic number of partite graphs
Let $G$ be a connected graph with $|V| = n$ and $|E| = m$. A bijection $f:E\rightarrow \{1,2,...,m\}$ is called a local antimagic labeling of $G$ if for any two adjacent vertices $u$ and $v$, $w(u) \neq w(v)$, where $w(u) = \sum_{e \in E(u)}f(e)$, and $E(u)$ is the set of edges incident to $u$. Thus, any local antimagic labeling induces a proper vertex coloring of $G$ where the vertex $v$ is assigned the color $w(v)$. The local antimagic chromatic number is the minimum number of colors taken over all colorings induced by local antimagic labelings of $G$. Let $m,n > 1$. In this paper, the local antimagic chromatic number of a complete tripartite graph $K_{1,m,n}$, and $r$ copies of a complete bipartite graph $K_{m,n}$ where $m \not \equiv n \bmod 2$ are determined.
Local Antimagic Coloring of Some Graphs
Given a graph $G =(V,E)$, a bijection $f: E \rightarrow \{1, 2, \dots,|E|\}$ is called a local antimagic labeling of $G$ if the vertex weight $w(u) = \sum_{uv \in E} f(uv)$ is distinct for all adjacent vertices. The vertex weights under the local antimagic labeling of $G$ induce a proper vertex coloring of a graph $G$. The \textit{local antimagic chromatic number} of $G$ denoted by $χ_{la}(G)$ is the minimum number of weights taken over all such local antimagic labelings of $G$. In this paper, we investigate the local antimagic chromatic numbers of the union of some families of graphs, corona product of graphs, and necklace graph and we construct infinitely many graphs satisfying $χ_{la}(G) = χ(G)$.

Let $G=(V, E)$ be a connected graph. A bijection $f: E\to \{1, \ldots, |E|\}$ is called a local antimagic labeling if for any two adjacent vertices $x$ and $y$, $f^+(x)\neq f^+(y)$, where $f^+(x)=\sum_{e\in E(x)}f(e)$ and $E(x)$ is the set of edges incident to $x$. Thus a local antimagic labeling induces a proper vertex coloring of $G$, where the vertex $x$ is assigned the color $f^+(x)$. The local antimagic chromatic number $χ_{la}(G)$ is the minimum number of colors taken over all colorings induced by local antimagic labelings of $G$. In this paper, we present some families of bridge graphs with $χ_{la}(G)=3$ and give several ways to construct bridge graphs with $χ_{la}(G)=3$.

Super Total Local Antimagic Vertex Coloring of Graphs
Let $G = (V,E)$ be a finite simple undirected graph without isolated vertices. A bijective map $f: V \cup E \rightarrow \{1,2, \dots, |V|+ |E| \}$ is called total local antimagic labeling if for each edge $uv \in E, w(u) \ne w(v)$, where $w(v)$ is a weight of a vertex $v$ defined by $w(v) = \sum_{x \in NT(v)} f(x)$, where $NT(u) = N(u) \cup \{uv: uv\in E\}$ is the total open neighborhood of a vertex $u$. Further, $f$ is called super vertex total local antimagic labeling or super edge total local antimagic labeling if $f(V) = \{1,2, \dots, |V|\}$ or $f(E) = \{1,2, \dots, |E|\}$, respectively. The labeling $f$ induces a proper vertex coloring of $G$. The super vertex (edge) total local antimagic chromatic number of a graph $G$ is the minimum number of colors used overall colorings of $G$ induced by super vertex (edge) total local antimagic labeling of $G$. In this paper, we have calculated the super vertex (edge) total local antimagic chromatic number of some families of graphs.
