A Ham Sandwich Analogue for Quaternionic Measures and Finite Subgroups of S^3
A "ham sandwich" theorem is established for n quaternionic Borel measures on quaternionic space H^n. For each finite subgroup G of S^3, it is shown that there is a quaternionic hyperplane H and a corresponding tiling of H^n into |G| fundamental regions which are rotationally symmetric about H with respect to G, and satisfy the condition that for each of the n measures, the "G average" of the measures of these regions is zero. If each quaternionic measure is a 4-tuple of finite Borel measures on R^{4n}, the original ham sandwich theorem on R^{4n} is recovered when G = Z_2. The theorem applies to [n/4] finite Borel measures on R^n, and when G is the quaternion group Q_8 this gives a decomposition of R^n into 2 rings of 4 cubical "wedges" each, such that the measure any two opposite wedges is equal for each finite measure.

On line arrangements with applications to 3-nets
We show a one-to-one correspondence between arrangements of d lines in the projective plane, and lines in P^{d-2}. We apply this correspondence to classify (3,q)-nets over the complex numbers for all q<=6. When q=6, we have twelve possible combinatorial cases, but we prove that only nine of them are realizable. This new case shows several new properties for 3-nets: different dimensions for moduli, strict realization over certain fields, etc. We also construct a three dimensional family of (3,8)-nets corresponding to the Quaternion group.

Combinatorics and Topology of partitions of spherical measures by 2 and 3 fans
An arrangement of k-semilines in the Euclidean (projective) plane or on the 2-sphere is called a k-fan if all semilines start from the same point. A k-fan is an $α$-partition for a probability measure $μ$ if $μ(σ_i)=α_i$ for each $i=1,...,k$ where $\{σ_i\}_{i=1}^k$ are conical sectors associated with the k-fan and $α= (α_1,... ,α_k)$. The set of all $α= (α_1,... ,α_m)$ such that for any collection of probability measures $μ_1,... ,μ_m$ there exists a common $α$-partition by a k-fan is denoted by ${\cal A}_{m,k}$. We prove, as a central result of this paper, that ${\cal A}_{3,2} = \{(s,t)\in \mathbb{R}^2\mid s+t=1 {\rm and} s,t>0\}$. The result follows from the fact that under mild conditions there does not exist a $Q_{4n}$-equivariant map $f : S^3\to V\setminus {\cal A}(α)$ where ${\cal A}(α)$ is a $Q_{4n}$-invariant, linear subspace arrangement in a $Q_{4n}$-representation V, where $Q_{4n}$ is the generalized quaternion group. This fact is established by showing that an appropriate obstruction in the group $Ω_1(Q_{4n})$ of $Q_{4n}$-bordisms does not vanish.
