On Clique Incidence Matrices and Derivatives of Clique Polynomials
The ordinary generating function of the number of complete subgraphs (cliques) of $G$, denoted by $C(G,x)$, is called the The clique polynomial of the graph $G$. In this paper, we first introduce some \emph{clique} incidence matrices associated by a simple graph $G$ as a generalization of the classical vertex-edge incidence matrix of $G$. Then, using these clique incidence matrices, we obtain two clique-counting identities that can be used for deriving two combinatorial formulas for the first and the second derivatives of clique polynomials. Finally, we conclude the paper with several open questions and conjectures about possible extensions of our main results for higher derivatives of clique polynomials.

Let $G$ be a simple graph with maximum degree $Δ(G)$. A subgraph $H$ of $G$ is overfull if $|E(H)|>Δ(G)\lfloor \frac{1}{2}|V(H)| \rfloor$. Chetwynd and Hilton in 1986 conjectured that a graph $G$ with $Δ(G)>\frac{1}{3}|V(G)|$ has chromatic index $Δ(G)$ if and only if $G$ contains no overfull subgraph. Let $0<\varepsilon <1$ and $G$ be a large graph on $n$ vertices with minimum degree at least $\frac{1}{2}(1+\varepsilon)n$. It was shown that the conjecture holds for $G$ if $n$ is even. In this paper, the same result is proved if $n$ is odd. As far as we know, this is the first result on the conjecture for graphs of odd order and with a minimum degree constraint.
Spanning tree-connected subgraphs with small degrees
Let $G$ be a graph with a spanning subgraph $F$, let $m$ be a positive integer, and let $f$ be a positive integer-valued function on $V(G)$. In this paper, we show that if for all $S\subseteq V(G)$, $$Ω_m(G\setminus S)\le \sum_{v\in S}\big(f(v)-2m\big)+m+Ω_m(G[S]),$$ then $G$ has a spanning $m$-tree-connected subgraph $H$ containing $F$ such that for each vertex $ v$, $d_H(v)\le f(v)+\max\{0,d_F(v)-m\}$, where $G[S]$ denotes the induced subgraph of $G$ with the vertex set $S$ and $Ω_m(G_0)$ is a parameter to measure $m$-tree-connectivity of a given graph $G_0$.
By applying this result, we show that every $k$-edge-connected graph $G$ with $k\ge 2m$ has a spanning $m$-tree-connected subgraph $H$ such that $d_H(v)\le \big\lceil \frac{m}{k}(d_G(v)-2m)\big\rceil+2m$ for each $v\in V(H)$; moreover, if $G$ is $k$-tree-connected and $k\ge m$, then $G$ has a spanning $m$-tree-connected subgraph $H$ such that $d_H(v)\le \big\lceil \frac{m}{k}(d_G(v)-m)\big\rceil+m$ for each $v\in V(H)$. As a consequence, we conclude that every $(r-2m)$-edge-connected graph with $r\ge 4m$ admits a spanning $m$-tree-connected subgraph with maximum degree at most $3m$.
Next, we prove that a graph $G$ admits a spanning $m$-tree-connected subgraph $H$ satisfying $Δ(H) \le 2m+1$, if for all $S\subseteq V(G)$, $$ ω(G\setminus S)+\small {\frac{m+1}{2}}\, iso(G\setminus S) \le \frac{1}{m}|S|+1,$$ where $ω(G\setminus S)$ and $iso(G\setminus S)$ denote the number of components and the number of isolated vertices of $G\setminus S$, respectively. As a consequence, we conclude that every $m(n-1)$-connected $K_{1, n}$-free simple graph with a sufficiently large minimum degree and $n\ge 3$ admits a spanning $m$-tree-connected subgraph with maximum degree at most $2m+1$.
Bounds on Path Energy of Graphs
Given a graph $M,$ path eigenvalues are eigenvalues of its path matrix. The path energy of a simple graph $M$ is equal to the sum of the absolute values of the path eigenvalues of the graph $M$ (Shikare et. al, 2018). We have discovered new upper constraints on path energy in this study, expressed in terms of a graph's maximum degree. Additionally, a relationship between a graph's energy and path energy is given.
Odd colouring on the torus
A proper vertex-colouring of a simple graph $G$ is said to be odd if, for every non-isolated vertex $v$ of $G$, some colour appears an odd number of times in the neighbourhood of $v$. We show that if $G$ embeds in the torus, then it admits a proper odd vertex-colouring with at most $9$ colours.

Let $G$ be a simple graph with order $n$ and size $m$. The quantity $M_1(G)=\displaystyle\sum_{i=1}^{n}d^2_{v_i}$ is called the first Zagreb index of $G$, where $d_{v_i}$ is the degree of vertex $v_i$, for all $i=1,2,\dots,n$. The signless Laplacian matrix of a graph $G$ is $Q(G)=D(G)+A(G)$, where $A(G)$ and $D(G)$ denote, respectively, the adjacency and the diagonal matrix of the vertex degrees of $G$. Let $q_1\geq q_2\geq \dots\geq q_n\geq 0$ be the signless Laplacian eigenvalues of $G$. The largest signless Laplacian eigenvalue $q_1$ is called the signless Laplacian spectral radius or $Q$-index of $G$ and is denoted by $q(G)$. Let $S^+_k(G)=\displaystyle\sum_{i=1}^{k}q_i$ and $L_k(G)=\displaystyle\sum_{i=0}^{k-1}q_{n-i}$, where $1\leq k\leq n$, respectively denote the sum of $k$ largest and smallest signless Laplacian eigenvalues of $G$. The signless Laplacian energy of $G$ is defined as $QE(G)=\displaystyle\sum_{i=1}^{n}|q_i-\overline{d}|$, where $\overline{d}=\frac{2m}{n}$ is the average vertex degree of $G$. In this article, we obtain upper bounds for the first Zagreb index $M_1(G)$ and show that each bound is best possible. Using these bounds, we obtain several upper bounds for the graph invariant $S^+_k(G)$ and characterize the extremal cases. As a consequence, we find upper bounds for the $Q$-index and lower bounds for the graph invariant $L_k(G)$ in terms of various graph parameters and determine the extremal cases. As an application, we obtain upper bounds for the signless Laplacian energy of a graph and characterize the extremal cases.

Let $G=(V,E)$ be a simple graph. A dominating set of $G$ is a subset $S\subseteq V$ such that every vertex not in $S$ is adjacent to at least one vertex in $S$. The cardinality of a smallest dominating set of $G$, denoted by $γ(G)$, is the domination number of $G$. A dominating set $S$ is called a super dominating set of $G$, if for every vertex $u\in \overline{S}=V-S$, there exists $v\in S$ such that $N(v)\cap \overline{S}=\{u\}$. The cardinality of a smallest super dominating set of $G$, denoted by $γ_{sp}(G)$, is the super domination number of $G$. In this paper, we obtain more results on the super domination number of graphs which is modified by an operation on vertices. Also, we present some sharp bounds for super domination number of chain and bouquet of pairwise disjoint connected graphs.
Lattices with lots of congruence energy
In 1978, motivated by E. Hückel's work in quantum chemistry, I. Gutman introduced the concept of the energy of a finite simple graph $G$ as the sum of the absolute values of the eigenvalues of the adjacency matrix of $G$. At the time of writing, the MathSciNet search for "Title=(graph energy) AND Review Text=(eigenvalue)" returns 351 publications, most of which going after Gutman's definition.
A congruence $α$ of a finite algebra $A$ turns $A$ into a simple graph: we connect $x\neq y\in A$ by an edge iff $(x,y)\inα$; we let En$(α)$ be the energy of this graph. We introduce the congruence energy CE$(A)$ of $A$ by CE$(A):=\sum\{$En$(α): α\in$ Con$(A)\}$. Let LAT$(n)$ and CDA$(n)$ stand for the class of $n$-element lattices and that of $n$-element congruence distributive algebras of any type. For a class $\mathcal X$, let CE$(\mathcal X):= \{$CE$(A): A\in \mathcal X\}$. We prove the following.
(1) For $α\in A$, En$(α)/2$ is the height of $α$ in the equivalence lattice of $A$.
(2) The largest number and the second largest number in CE(LAT($n$)) are $(n-1)\cdot 2^{n-1}$ and, for $n\geq 4$, $(n-1)\cdot 2^{n-2}+2^{n-3}$; these numbers are only witnessed by chains and lattices with exactly one two-element antichain, respectively.
(3) The largest number in CE(CDA($n$)) is also $(n-1)\cdot 2^{n-1}$, and if CE$(A)=(n-1)\cdot 2^{n-1}$ for an $A\in$ CDA$(n)$, then Con$(A)$ is a boolean lattice with size $|$Con$(A)|=2^{n-1}$.
Iterated Jump Graphs
The jump graph $J(G)$ of a simple graph $G$ has vertices which represent edges in $G$ where two vertices in $J(G)$ are adjacent if and only if the corresponding edges in $G$ do not share an endpoint. In this paper, we examine sequences of graphs generated by iterating the jump graph operation and characterize the behavior of this sequence for all initial graphs. We build on work by Chartrand et al. who showed that a handful of jump graph sequences terminate and two sequences converge. We extend these results by showing that there are no non-trivial repeating sequences of jump graphs. All diverging jump graph sequences grow without bound while accumulating certain subgraphs.

Let us call a simple graph on $n\geq 2$ vertices a prime gap graph if its vertex degrees are $1$ and the first $n-1$ prime gaps. We show that such a graph exists for every large $n$, and in fact for every $n\geq 2$ if we assume the Riemann hypothesis. Moreover, an infinite sequence of prime gap graphs can be generated by the so-called degree preserving growth process. This is the first time a naturally occurring infinite sequence of positive integers is identified as graphic. That is, we show the existence of an interesting, and so far unique, infinite combinatorial object.

A signed graph $Σ= (G, σ)$ is a graph where the function $σ$ assigns either $1$ or $-1$ to each edge of the simple graph $G$. The adjacency matrix of $Σ$, denoted by $A(Σ)$, is defined canonically. In a recent paper, Wang et al. extended the eigenvalue bounds of Hoffman and Cvetković for the signed graphs. They proposed an open problem related to the balanced clique number and the largest eigenvalue of a signed graph. We solve a strengthened version of this open problem. As a byproduct, we give alternate proofs for some of the known classical bounds for the least eigenvalues of the unsigned graphs. We extend the Turán's inequality for the signed graphs. Besides, we study the Bollobás and Nikiforov conjecture for the signed graphs and show that the conjecture need not be true for the signed graphs. Nevertheless, the conjecture holds for signed graphs under some assumptions. Finally, we study some of the relationships between the number of signed walks and the largest eigenvalue of a signed graph.

The Burge correspondence yields a bijection between simple labelled graphs and semistandard Young tableaux of threshold shape. We characterize the simple graphs of hook shape by peak and valley conditions on Burge arrays. This is the first step towards an analogue of Schensted's result for the RSK insertion which states that the length of the longest increasing subword of a word is the length of the largest row of the tableau under the RSK correspondence. Furthermore, we give a crystal structure on simple graphs of hook shape. The extremal vectors in this crystal are precisely the simple graphs whose degree sequence are threshold and hook-shaped.

Symmetric edge polytopes are lattice polytopes associated with finite simple graphs that are of interest in both theory and applications. We investigate the facet structure of symmetric edge polytopes for various models of random graphs. For an Erdős-Renyi random graph, we identify a threshold probability at which with high probability the symmetric edge polytope shares many facet-supporting hyperplanes with that of a complete graph. We also investigate the relationship between the average local clustering, also known as the Watts-Strogatz clustering coefficient, and the number of facets for graphs with either a fixed number of edges or a fixed degree sequence. We use well-known Markov Chain Monte Carlo sampling methods to generate empirical evidence that for a fixed degree sequence, higher average local clustering in a connected graph corresponds to higher facet numbers in the associated symmetric edge polytope.

A simple graph $G$ with edge-connectivity $λ(G)$ and minimum degree $δ(G)$ is maximally edge connected if $λ(G)=δ(G)$. In 1964, given a non-increasing degree sequence $π=(d_{1},\ldots,d_{n})$, Jack Edmonds showed that there is a realization $G$ of $π$ that is $k$-edge-connected if and only if $d_{n}\geq k$ with $\sum_{i=1}^{n}d_{i}\geq 2(n-1)$ when $d_{n}=1$. We strengthen Edmonds's result by showing that given a realization $G_{0}$ of $π$ if $Z_{0}$ is a spanning subgraph of $G_{0}$ with $δ(Z_{0})\geq 1$ such that $|E(Z_{0})|\geq n-1$ when $δ(G_{0})=1$, then there is a maximally edge-connected realization of $π$ with $G_{0}-E(Z_{0})$ as a subgraph. Our theorem tells us that there is a maximally edge-connected realization of $π$ that differs from $G_{0}$ by at most $n-1$ edges. For $δ(G_{0})\geq 2$, if $G_{0}$ has a spanning forest with $c$ components, then our theorem says there is a maximally edge-connected realization that differs from $G_{0}$ by at most $n-c$ edges. As an application we combine our work with Kundu's $k$-factor Theorem to show there is a maximally edge-connected realization with a $(k_{1},\dots,k_{n})$-factor for $k\leq k_{i}\leq k+1$ and present a partial result to a conjecture that strengthens the regular case of Kundu's $k$-factor theorem.

We look for a non-zero $(0, 1)$-vector in the row space of the adjacency matrix $A(Γ)$ of a graph $Γ,$ provided $Γ$ has at least one edge. Akbari, Cameron, and Khosrovshahi conjectured that there exists a non-zero $(0,1)$-vector in the row space of $A(Γ)$ (over the real numbers) which does not occur as a row of $A(Γ).$ This conjecture can be easily verified for graphs having diameter is equal to $1$ (complete graphs). In this article, we affirmatively prove this conjecture for any graph whose diameter is $\geq 4.$ Furthermore, in the remaining two cases that is, for graphs with diameter is equal to $2$ or $3,$ we report some progress in support of the conjecture.
On local antimagic chromatic number of lexicographic product graphs

Let $G = (V,E)$ be a connected simple graph of order $p$ and size $q$. A graph $G$ is called local antimagic if $G$ admits a local antimagic labeling. A bijection $f : E \to \{1,2,\ldots,q\}$ is called a local antimagic labeling of $G$ if for any two adjacent vertices $u$ and $v$, we have $f^+(u) \ne f^+(v)$, where $f^+(u) = \sum_{e\in E(u)} f(e)$, and $E(u)$ is the set of edges incident to $u$. Thus, any local antimagic labeling induces a proper vertex coloring of $G$ if vertex $v$ is assigned the color $f^+(v)$. The local antimagic chromatic number, denoted $χ_{la}(G)$, is the minimum number of induced colors taken over local antimagic labeling of $G$. Let $G$ and $H$ be two vertex disjoint graphs. The {\it lexicographic product} of $G$ and $H$, denoted $G[H]$, is the graph with vertex set $V(G) \times V(H)$, and $(u,u')$ is adjacent to $(v,v')$ in $G[H]$ if $(u,v)\in E(G)$ or if $u=v$ and $u'v'\in E(H)$. In this paper, we obtained sharp upper bound of $χ_{la}(G[O_n])$ where $O_n$ is a null graph of order $n\ge 1$. Sufficient conditions for even regular bipartite and tripartite graphs $G$ to have $χ_{la}(G)=3$ are also obtained. Consequently, we successfully determined the local antimagic chromatic number of infinitely many (connected and disconnected) regular graphs that partially support the existence of $r$-regular graph $G$ of order $p$ such that (i) $χ_{la}(G)=χ(G)=k$, and (ii) $χ_{la}(G)=χ(G)+1=k$ for each possible $r,p,k$.

Let R be a finite commutative ring with unity, and let G = (V, E) be a simple graph. The zero-divisor graph, denoted by Γ(R) is a simple graph with vertex set as R, and two vertices x, y \in R are adjacent in Γ(R) if and only if $xy = 0$. In [10], the authors have studied the Laplacian eigenvalues of the graph Γ(Z_n) and for distinct proper divisors d_1, d_2, \dots, d_k of n, they defined the sets as, A_{d_i} = {x \in Zn : (x, n) = d_i}, where (x, n) denotes the greatest common divisor of x and n. In this paper, we show that the sets A_{d_i}, 1 \leq i \leq k are actually orbits of the group action: Aut(Γ(R)) \times R \longrightarrow R, where Aut(Γ(R)) denotes the automorphism group of Γ(R). Our main objective is to determine new classes of threshold graphs, since these graphs play an important role in several applied areas. For a reduced ring R, we prove that Γ(R) is a connected threshold graph if and only if R = F_q or R = F_2 \times F_q. We provide classes of threshold graphs realized by some classes of local rings. Finally, we characterize all finite commutative rings with unity of which zero-divisor graphs are not threshold.

In this paper we describe a relation between the notion of graphicahedron, introduced by Araujo-Pardo, Del Río-Francos, López-Dudet, Oliveros, and Schulte in 2010, and toric topology of manifolds of sparse isospectral Hermitian matrices. More precisely, we recall the notion of a cluster-permutohedron, a certain finite poset defined for a simple graph $Γ$. This poset is build as a combination of cosets of the symmetric group, and the geometric lattice of the graphical matroid of $Γ$. This poset is similar to the graphicahedron of $Γ$, in particular, 1-skeleta of both posets are isomorphic to Cayley graphs of the symmetric group. We describe the relation between cluster-permutohedron and graphicahedron using Galois connection and the notion of a core of a finite topology. We further prove that the face poset of the natural torus action on the manifold of isospectral $Γ$-shaped Hermitian matrices is isomorphic to the cluster-permutohedron. Using recent results in toric topology, we show that homotopy properties of graphicahedra may serve an obstruction to equivariant formality of isospectral matrix manifolds. We introduce a generalization of a cluster-permutohedron and describe the combinatorial structure of a large family of manifolds with torus actions, including Grassmann manifolds and partial flag manifolds.

For a simple graph $F$, let $\mathrm{Ex}(n, F)$ and $\mathrm{Ex_{sp}}(n,F)$ denote the set of graphs with the maximum number of edges and the set of graphs with the maximum spectral radius in an $n$-vertex graph without any copy of the graph $F$, respectively. The Turán graph $T_{n,r}$ is the complete $r$-partite graph on $n$ vertices where its part sizes are as equal as possible. Cioabă, Desai and Tait [The spectral radius of graphs with no odd wheels, European J. Combin., 99 (2022) 103420] posed the following conjecture: Let $F$ be any graph such that the graphs in $\mathrm{Ex}(n,F)$ are Turán graphs plus $O(1)$ edges. Then $\mathrm{Ex_{sp}}(n,F)\subset \mathrm{Ex}(n,F)$ for sufficiently large $n$. In this paper we consider the graph $F$ such that the graphs in $\mathrm{Ex}(n, F)$ are obtained from $T_{n,r}$ by adding $O(1)$ edges, and prove that if $G$ has the maximum spectral radius among all $n$-vertex graphs not containing $F$, then $G$ is a member of $\mathrm{Ex}(n, F)$ for $n$ large enough. Then Cioabă, Desai and Tait's conjecture is completely solved.
