We obtain a complete time expansion of the pull-back operator generated by a real analytic flow of real analytic automorphisms acting on analytic tensor sections of a manifold. Our expansion is given in terms of multiple Lie derivatives. Motivated by this expansion, we provide a rather simple and explicit estimate for higher order covariant derivatives of multiple Lie derivatives acting on smooth endomorphism sections of the tangent bundle of a manifold. We assume the covariant derivative to be torsion free. The estimate is given in terms of Dyck polynomials. The proof uses a new result on the combinatorics of rooted labeled ordered forests and Dyck polynomials.

For $e$ a positive integer, we find restrictions modulo $2^e$ on the coefficients of the characteristic polynomial $χ_S(x)$ of a Seidel matrix $S$. We show that, for a Seidel matrix of order $n$ even (resp. odd), there are at most $2^{\binom{e-2}{2}}$ (resp. $2^{\binom{e-2}{2}+1}$) possibilities for the congruence class of $χ_S(x)$ modulo $2^e\mathbb Z[x]$. As an application of these results, we obtain an improvement to the upper bound for the number of equiangular lines in $\mathbb R^{17}$, that is, we reduce the known upper bound from $50$ to $49$.
Four New Generalized Fibonacci Number Summation Identities
Two new generalized Fibonacci number summation identities are stated and proved, and two other new generalized Fibonacci number summation identities are derived from these, of which two special cases are already known in literature.
On the Twelve-Point Theorem for $\ell$-Reflexive Polygons

It is known that, adding the number of lattice points lying on the boundary of a reflexive polygon and the number of lattice points lying on the boundary of its polar, always yields 12. Generalising appropriately the notion of reflexivity, one shows that this remains true for "$\ell$-reflexive polygons". In particular, there exist (for this reason) infinitely many (lattice inequivalent) lattice polygons with the same property. The first proof of this fact is due to Kasprzyk and Nill. The present paper contains a second proof (which uses tools only from toric geometry) as well as the description of complementary properties of these polygons and of the invariants of the corresponding toric log del Pezzo surfaces.

We investigate the weight distribution of random binary linear codes. For $0<λ<1$ and $n\to\infty$ pick uniformly at random $λn$ vectors in $\mathbb{F}_2^n$ and let $C \le \mathbb{F}_2^n$ be the orthogonal complement of their span. Given $0<γ<1/2$ with $0< λ< h(γ)$ let $X$ be the random variable that counts the number of words in $C$ of Hamming weight $γn$. In this paper we determine the asymptotics of the moments of $X$ of all orders $o(\frac{n}{\log n})$.
Stanley's non-Ehrhart-positive order polytopes

We say a polytope is Ehrhart positive if all the coefficients in its Ehrhart polynomial are positive. Answering an Ehrhart positivity question posed on Mathoverflow, Stanley provided an example of a non-Ehrhart-positive order polytope of dimension $21$. Stanley's example comes from a certain family of order polytopes. In this paper, we study the Ehrhart positivity question on this family of polytopes. By giving explicit formulas for the coefficients of the Ehrhart polynomials of these polytopes in terms of Bernolli numbers, we determine the sign of each Ehrhart coefficient of each polytope in the family.
As a consequence of our result, we conclude that for any positive integer $d \ge 21,$ there exists an order polytope of dimension $d$ that is not Ehrhart positive, and for any positive integer $\ell$, there exists an order polytope whose Ehrhart polynomial has precisely $\ell$ negative coefficients, which answers a question posed by Hibi. We finish this article by discussing the existence of lower-dimensional order polytopes whose Ehrhart polynomials have a negative coefficient.
Explicit formulae for all higher order exponential lacunary generating functions of Hermite polynomials
For a sequence $P=(p_n(x))_{n=0}^{\infty}$ of polynomials $p_n(x)$, we study the $K$-tuple and $L$-shifted exponential lacunary generating functions $\mathcal{G}_{K,L}(λ;x):=\sum_{n=0}^{\infty}\frac{λ^n}{n!} p_{n\cdot K+L}(x)$, for $K=1,2\dotsc$ and $L=0,1,2\dotsc$. We establish an algorithm for efficiently computing $\mathcal{G}_{K,L}(λ;x)$ for generic polynomial sequences $P$. This procedure is exemplified by application to the study of Hermite polynomials, whereby we obtain closed-form expressions for $\mathcal{G}_{K,L}(λ;x)$ for arbitrary $K$ and $L$, in the form of infinite series involving generalized hypergeometric functions. The basis of our method is provided by certain resummation techniques, supplemented by operational formulae. Our approach also reproduces all the results previously known in the literature.

For a set of nonnegative integers $c_1, \ldots, c_k$, a $(c_1, c_2,\ldots, c_k)$-coloring of a graph $G$ is a partition of $V(G)$ into $V_1, \ldots, V_k$ such that for every $i$, $1\le i\le k, G[V_i]$ has maximum degree at most $c_i$. We prove that all planar graphs without 4-cycles and no less than two edges between triangles are $(2,0,0)$-colorable.

In this paper we define the (edge-weighted) Cayley graph associated to a generalized Boolean function, introduce a notion of strong regularity and give several of its properties. We show some connections between this concept and generalized bent functions (gbent), that is, functions with flat Walsh-Hadamard spectrum. In particular, we find a complete characterization of quartic gbent functions in terms of the strong regularity of their associated Cayley graph.

We determine the exact value of the $η$-constant and the multiwise Davenport constants for finite abelian groups of rank three having the form $G \simeq C_2 \oplus C_{n_2} \oplus C_{n_3}$ with $2 \mid n_2 \mid n_3$. Moreover, we determine the Erdős-Ginzburg-Ziv constant of these groups under the assumption that $n_2/2$ has Property D or $n_2 = n_3$.

We investigate how the Minkowski sum of two polytopes affects their graph and, in particular, their diameter. We show that the diameter of the Minkowski sum is bounded below by the diameter of each summand and above by, roughly, the product between the diameter of one summand and the number of vertices of the other. We also prove that both bounds are sharp. In addition, we obtain a result on polytope decomposability. More precisely, given two polytopes P and Q, we show that P can be written as a Minkowski sum with a summand homothetic to Q if and only if P has the same number of vertices as its Minkowski sum with Q.
Singular graphs
Let $Γ$ be a simple graph on a finite vertex set $V$ and let $A$ be its adjacency matrix. Then $Γ$ is said to be singular if and only if $0$ is an eigenvalue of $A.$ The nullity (singularity) of $Γ,$ denoted by ${\rm null}(Γ),$ is the algebraic multiplicity of the eigenvalue $0$ in the spectrum of $Γ.$ In 1957, Collatz and Sinogowitz \cite{von1957spektren} posed the problem of characterizing singular graphs. Singular graphs have important applications in mathematics and science. The chemical importance of singular graphs lies in the fact that if the nullity for the molecular graph is greater than zero then the corresponding chemical compound is highly reactive or unstable. By this reason, the chemists have a great interest in this problem. The general problem of characterising singular graphs is easy to state but it seems too difficult. In this work, we investigate this problem for graphs in general and graphs with a vertex transitive group $G$ of automorphisms. In some cases we determine the nullity of such graphs. We characterize singular Cayley graphs over cyclic groups. We show that vertex transitive graphs with $|V|$ is prime are non-singular.

In this paper, we show that the single deletion correcting Varshamov-Tenengolts code, with minor modifications, can also correct an ordered deletion-erasure pattern where one deletion and at most one erasure occur and the deletion always occurs before the erasure. For large code lengths, the constructed code has the same logarithmic redundancy as optimal codes.
Structure and enumeration of K4-minor-free links and link-diagrams
We study the class L of link-types that admit a K4-minor-free diagram, i.e., they can be projected on the plane so that the resulting graph does not contain any subdivision of K4. We prove that L is the closure of a subclass of torus links under the operation of connected sum. Using this structural result, we enumerate L and subclasses of it, with respect to the minimum number of crossings or edges in a projection of L' in L. Further, we obtain counting formulas and asymptotic estimates for the connected K4-minor-free link-diagrams, minimal K4-minor-free link-diagrams, and K4-minor-free diagrams of the unknot.
The two-distance sets in dimension four
A finite set of distinct vectors $\mathcal{X}$ in the $d$-dimensional Euclidean space $\mathbb{R}^d$ is called a $2$-distance set, if the set of mutual distances between distinct elements of $\mathcal{X}$ has cardinality exactly $2$. In this note we classify the $2$-distance sets in $\mathbb{R}^4$ up to isometry with computer-aided methods.
Complemented lattices of subracks

In this paper, a question due to Heckenberger, Shareshian and Welker on racks in [7] is positively answered. A rack is a set together with a selfdistributive bijective binary operation. We show that the lattice of subracks of every finite rack is complemented. Moreover, we characterize finite modular lattices of subracks in terms of complements of subracks. Also, we introduce a certain class of racks including all finite groups with the conjugation operation, called G- racks, and we study some of their properties. In particular, we show that a finite G-rack has the homotopy type of a sphere. Further, we show that the lattice of subracks of an infinite rack is not necessarily complemented which gives an affirmative answer to the aformentioned question. Indeed, we show that the lattice of subracks of the set of rational numbers, as a dihedral rack, is not complemented. Finally, we show that being a Boolean algebra, pseudocomplemented and uniquely complemented as well as distributivity are equivalent for the lattice of subracks of a rack.
Strong chromatic index of graphs with maximum degree four

A strong edge-coloring of a graph $G$ is a coloring of the edges such that every color class induces a matching in $G$. The strong chromatic index of a graph is the minimum number of colors needed in a strong edge-coloring of the graph. In 1985, Erdős and Nešetřil conjectured that every graph with maximum degree $Δ$ has a strong edge-coloring using at most $\frac{5}{4}Δ^2$ colors if $Δ$ is even, and at most $\frac{5}{4}Δ^2 - \frac{1}{2}Δ+ \frac{1}{4}$ if $Δ$ is odd. Despite recent progress for large $Δ$ by using an iterative probabilistic argument, the only nontrivial case of the conjecture that has been verified is when $Δ= 3$, leaving the need for new approaches to verify the conjecture for any $Δ\ge 4$. In this paper, we apply some ideas used in previous results to an upper bound of 21 for graphs with maximum degree 4, which improves a previous bound due to Cranston in 2006 and moves closer to the conjectured upper bound of 20.

A path cover of a graph is a set of disjoint paths so that every vertex in the graph is contained in one of the paths. The path cover number $p(G)$ of graph $G$ is the cardinality of a path cover with the minimum number of paths. Reed in 1996 conjectured that a $2$-connected $3$-regular graph has path cover number at most $\lceil n/10\rceil$. In this paper, we confirm this conjecture.

A strong edge-coloring of a graph $G=(V,E)$ is a partition of its edge set $E$ into induced matchings. We study bipartite graphs with one part having maximum degree at most $3$ and the other part having maximum degree $Δ$. We show that every such graph has a strong edge-coloring using at most $3 Δ$ colors. Our result confirms a conjecture of Brualdi and Quinn Massey ~\cite{[BQ]} for this class of bipartite graphs.
