Tropical Lagrangian coamoebae and free resolutions
We study the coamoebae of Lagrangian submanifolds of $(\mathbb{C}^\times)^n$, specifically how the combinatorics of their degenerations encodes the homological algebra of mirror coherent sheaves. Concretely, to a minimal free resolution $F^\bullet$ of a module $M$ over $\mathbb{C}[z_1^{\pm 1}, \dotsc, z_n^{\pm 1}]$ we associate a simplicial complex $T(F^\bullet) \subset T^n$. We call $T(F^\bullet)$ a tropical Lagrangian coamoeba. We show that the discrete information in $F^\bullet$ can often be recovered from $T(F^\bullet)$, and that more generally $M$ is mirror to a certain constructible sheaf supported on $T(F^\bullet)$. The resulting interplay between coherent sheaves on $(\mathbb{C}^\times)^n$ and simplicial complexes in $T^n$ provides a higher-dimensional generalization of the spectral theory of dimer models in $T^2$, as well as a symplectic counterpart to the theory of brane brick models.
Kasteleyn operators from mirror symmetry

Given a consistent bipartite graph $Γ$ in $T^2$ with a complex-valued edge weighting $\mathcal{E}$ we show the following two constructions are the same. The first is to form the Kasteleyn operator of $(Γ, \mathcal{E})$ and pass to its spectral transform, a coherent sheaf supported on a spectral curve in $(\mathbb{C}^\times)^2$. The second is to form the conjugate Lagrangian $L \subset T^* T^2$ of $Γ$, equip it with a brane structure prescribed by $\mathcal{E}$, and pass to its mirror coherent sheaf. This lives on a stacky toric compactification of $(\mathbb{C}^\times)^2$ determined by the Legendrian link which lifts the zig-zag paths of $Γ$ (and to which the noncompact Lagrangian $L$ is asymptotic). We work in the setting of the coherent-constructible correspondence, a sheaf-theoretic model of toric mirror symmetry. We also show that tensoring with line bundles on the compactification is mirror to certain Legendrian autoisotopies of the asymptotic boundary of $L$.

The cluster algebra of any acyclic quiver can be realized as the coordinate ring of a subvariety of a Kac-Moody group -- the quiver is an orientation of its Dynkin diagram, defining a Coxeter element and thereby a double Bruhat cell. We use this realization to connect representations of the quiver with those of the group. We show that cluster variables of preprojective (resp. postinjective) quiver representations are realized by generalized minors of highest-weight (resp. lowest-weight) group representations, generalizing results of Yang-Zelevinsky in finite type. In type $A_n^{\!(1)}$ and finitely many other affine types, we show that cluster variables of regular quiver representations are realized by generalized minors of group representations that are neither highest- nor lowest-weight; we conjecture this holds more generally.
On the combinatorics of exact Lagrangian surfaces
We study Weinstein 4-manifolds which admit Lagrangian skeleta given by attaching disks to a surface along a collection of simple closed curves. In terms of the curves describing one such skeleton, we describe surgeries that preserve the ambient Weinstein manifold, but change the skeleton. The surgeries can be iterated to produce more such skeleta --- in many cases, infinitely many more.
Each skeleton is built around a Lagrangian surface. Passing to the Fukaya category, the skeletal surgeries induce cluster transformations on the spaces of rank one local systems on these surfaces, and noncommutative analogues of cluster transformations on the spaces of higher rank local systems. In particular, the problem of producing and distinguishing such Lagrangians maps to a combination of combinatorial-geometric questions about curve configurations on surfaces and algebraic questions about exchange graphs of cluster algebras.
Conversely, this expands the dictionary relating the cluster theory of character varieties, positroid strata, and related spaces to the symplectic geometry of Lagrangian fillings of Legendrian knots, by incorporating cluster charts more general than those associated to bicolored surface graphs.

Many interesting spaces --- including all positroid strata and wild character varieties --- are moduli of constructible sheaves on a surface with microsupport in a Legendrian link. We show that the existence of cluster structures on these spaces may be deduced in a uniform, systematic fashion by constructing and taking the sheaf quantizations of a set of exact Lagrangian fillings in correspondence with isotopy representatives whose front projections have crossings with alternating orientations. It follows in turn that results in cluster algebra may be used to construct and distinguish exact Lagrangian fillings of Legendrian links in the standard contact three space.

We prove the equality of two canonical bases of a rank 2 cluster algebra, the greedy basis of Lee-Li-Zelevinsky and the theta basis of Gross-Hacking-Keel-Kontsevich.

We show that the Hamiltonians of the open relativistic Toda system are elements of the generic basis of a cluster algebra, and in particular are cluster characters of nonrigid representations of a quiver with potential. Using cluster coordinates defined via spectral networks, we identify the phase space of this system with the wild character variety related to the periodic nonrelativistic Toda system by the wild nonabelian Hodge correspondence. We show that this identification takes the relativistic Toda Hamiltonians to traces of holonomies around a simple closed curve. In particular, this provides nontrivial examples of cluster coordinates on $SL_n$-character varieties for $n > 2$ where canonical functions associated to simple closed curves can be computed in terms of quivers with potential, extending known results in the $SL_2$ case.

We provide a concrete realization of the cluster algebras associated with Q-systems as amalgamations of cluster structures on double Bruhat cells in simple algebraic groups. For nonsimply-laced groups, this provides a cluster-algebraic formulation of Q-systems of twisted type. It also yields a uniform proof of the discrete integrability of these Q-systems by identifying them with the dynamics of factorization mappings on quotients of double Bruhat cells. On the double Bruhat cell itself, we find these dynamics are closely related to those of the Fomin-Zelevinsky twist map. This leads to an explicit formula expressing twisted cluster variables as Laurent monomials in the untwisted cluster variables obtained from the corresponding mutation sequence. This holds for Coxeter double Bruhat cells in any symmetrizable Kac-Moody group, and we show that in affine type the analogous factorization mapping is also integrable.

We study the relationship between two sets of coordinates on a double Bruhat cell, the cluster variables introduced by Berenstein, Fomin, and Zelevinsky and the $\CX$-coordinates defined by the coweight parametrization of Fock and Goncharov. In these coordinates, we show that the generalized Chamber Ansatz of Fomin and Zelevinsky is a nondegenerate version of the canonical monomial transformation between the cluster variables and $\CX$-coordinates defined by a common exchange matrix. We prove this in the setting of an arbitrary symmetrizable Kac-Moody group, generalizing along the way many previous results on the double Bruhat cells of a semisimple algebraic group. In particular, we construct an upper cluster algebra structure on the coordinate ring of any double Bruhat cell in a symmetrizable Kac-Moody group, proving a conjecture of Berenstein, Fomin, and Zelevinsky.

We construct a family of integrable Hamiltonian systems generalizing the relativistic periodic Toda lattice, which is recovered as a special case. The phase spaces of these systems are double Bruhat cells corresponding to pairs of Coxeter elements in the affine Weyl group. In the process we extend various results on double Bruhat cells in simple algebraic groups to the setting of Kac-Moody groups. We also generalize some fundamental results in Poisson-Lie theory to the setting of ind-algebraic groups, which is of interest beyond our immediate applications to integrable systems.
