Collinear Interior Lattice Points in Triangles Satisfying $B(T)\in\{4,5\}$
A positive integer $k$ is called $Bn$-collinear if at least one lattice triangle with $n$ boundary points ($B(T)=n$) and $k$ interior lattice points exists, and every such triangle has all of its interior points collinear. Building on prior work on $B(T)=3$, we completely classify the $B4$- and $B5$-collinear integers. Using canonical lattice classifications together with arithmetic properties of Alder's generalized totient function $g(k)$, we prove that the only $B4$-collinear integers are $k\in\{1,2,5\}$. Furthermore, we show that no integer is $B5$-collinear. This establishes a structural contrast: while three and four boundary lattice points exhibit some collinearity constraints, five boundary points disrupt the pattern.
On the weight distribution bound for the negative eigenvalue of polar collinearity graphs
The weight distribution bound gives a lower bound on the weight of eigenvectors for eigenvalues of distance-regular graphs. In this note, we study when the weight distribution bound is tight for the negative eigenvalue of collinearity graphs of finite embedded polar spaces, and elliptic and hyperbolic affine polar graphs. We give a complete classification of eigenvectors meeting the weight distribution bound.
North-East Lattice Paths Avoiding $k$ Collinear Points via Satisfiability
We investigate the Gerver-Ramsey collinearity problem of determining the maximum number of points in a north-east lattice path without $k$ collinear points. Using a satisfiability solver, up to isomorphism we enumerate all north-east lattice paths avoiding $k$ collinear points for $k \leq 6$. We also find a north-east lattice path avoiding $k = 7$ collinear points with 327 steps, improving on the previous best length of 260 steps found by Shallit.
On minimal codes arising from projective embeddings of point-line geometries
Let ${\mathcal C}(Ω)$ be the linear code arising from a projective system $Ω$ of $\mathrm{PG}(V).$ Consider the point-line geometry $Γ=({\mathcal P},{\mathcal L})$ and a projective embedding $\varepsilon\colon Γ\rightarrow \mathrm{PG}(V)$ of $Γ.$ We show that the projective code obtained by taking as projective system $Ω:=\varepsilon(\mathcal{P})$ is minimal if the graph induced on the set $Γ\setminus\varepsilon^{-1}(H)$ by the collinearity graph of $Γ$ is connected for any hyperplane $H$ of $\mathrm{PG}(V)$. As an application, Grassmann codes, Segre codes, polar Grassmann codes of orthogonal, symplectic, hermitian type and codes arising from the point-hyperplane geometry of a projective space are minimal codes.
The complete classification of triply-transitive strongly regular graphs
This paper completes the classification of triply-transitive strongly regular graphs, a program recently initiated by Herman, Maleki, and Razafimahatratra. By proving that the collinearity graph of the polar space $\mathcal{Q}^{-}(5,q)$ and the affine polar graph $\mathrm{VO}^{\varepsilon}_{2m}(2)$ are triply-transitive, we resolve the final open cases in the classification. The result is a definitive list of all strongly regular graphs that exhibit this exceptional form of local symmetry, characterized by the equality $T_{0,ω}=T_ω=\widetilde{T}_ω$ of their Terwilliger algebras.
On the classification of triply-transitive strongly-regular graphs
Let $Γ= (Ω,E)$ be a strongly-regular graph with adjacency matrix $A_1$, and let $A_2$ be the adjacency matrix of its complement. For any vertex $ω\in Ω$, we define $E_{0,ω}^*$ $E_{1,ω}^*$ and $E_{2,ω}^*$ to be respectively the diagonal matrices whose main diagonal is the row corresponding to $ω$ in the matrices $I, A_1$, and $A_2$. The Terwilliger algebra of $Γ$ with respect to the vertex $ω\in Ω$ is the subalgebra $T_ω= \left\langle I,A_1,A_2,E_{0,ω}^*,E_{1,ω}^*,E_{2,ω}^* \right\rangle$ of the complex matrix algebra $\operatorname{M_{|Ω|}}(\mathbb{C})$. The algebra $T_ω$ contains the subspace $T_{0,ω} = \operatorname{Span}\left\{ E_{i,ω}^*A_jE_{k,ω}^*: 0\leq i,j,k\leq 2 \right\}$.
In addition, if $G = \AutΓ$, then $T_ω$ is a subalgebra of the centralizer algebra $\tilde{T}_ω= \End{G_ω}{\mathbb{C}^Ω}$.
The strongly-regular graph $Γ=(Ω,E)$ is triply transitive if $Γ$ is vertex transitive and $T_{0,ω} = T_ω= \tilde{T}_ω$, for any $ω\in Ω$. In this paper, we classify all triply transitive strongly-regular graphs that are not isomorphic to the collinearity graph of the polar space $O_{6}^-(q)$, where $q$ is a prime power, or the affine polar graph $\vo_{2m}^\varepsilon(2)$, where $m\geq 1$ and $\varepsilon = \pm 1$.
Strongly regular graphs from hyperbolic quadrics and their maximal cliques
Let $Q^+(2n+1,q)$ be a hyperbolic quadric of $\PG(2n+1,q)$. Fix a generator $Π$ of the quadric. Define $\cG_n$ as the graph with vertex set the points of $Q^+(2n+1,q)\setminus Π$ and two vertices adjacent if they either span a secant to $Q^+(2n+1,q)$ or a line contained in $Q^+(2n+1,q)$ meeting $Π$ non-trivially. Then such a construction defines a strongly regular graph, which is the complement of a (non-induced) subgraph of the collinearity graph of $Q^+(2n+1,q)$. In this paper, we directly compute the parameters of $\cG_n$, which is cospectral, when $q=2$, to the tangent graph $NO^+(2n+2,2)$, but it is non-isomorphic for $n\geq3$. We also classify the maximal cliques of $\cG_3$ for $q=2$, proving as a by-product the non-isomorphism with the graph $NO^+(8,2)$.
Cliques in Paley graphs of square order and in Peisert graphs
We study maximal cliques in the collinearity graphs of Desarguesian nets, give some structural results and some numerical information.
Symmetric $(15,8,4)$-designs in terms of the geometry of binary simplex codes of dimension $4$
Let $n=2^k-1$ and $m=2^{k-2}$ for a certain $k\ge 3$. Consider the point-line geometry of $2m$-element subsets of an $n$-element set. Maximal singular subspaces of this geometry correspond to binary simplex codes of dimension $k$. For $k\ge 4$ the associated collinearity graph contains maximal cliques different from maximal singular subspaces. We investigate maximal cliques corresponding to symmetric $(n,2m,m)$-designs. The main results concern the case $k=4$ and give a geometric interpretation of the five well-known symmetric $(15,8,4)$-designs.
A Probabilistic Model for Data Redundancy in the Feature Domain
In this paper, we use a probabilistic model to estimate the number of uncorrelated features in a large dataset. Our model allows for both pairwise feature correlation (collinearity) and interdependency of multiple features (multicollinearity) and we use the probabilistic method to obtain upper and lower bounds of the same order, for the size of a feature set that exhibits low collinearity and low multicollinearity. We also prove an auxiliary result regarding mutually good constrained sets that is of independent interest.

In this paper we develop non-existence results for $m$-ovoids in the classical polar spaces $Q^-(2r+1,q), W(2r-1,q)$ and $H(2r,q^2)$ for $r>2$. In [4] a lower bound on $m$ for the existence of $m$-ovoids of $H(4,q^2)$ is found by using the connection between $m$-ovoids, two-character sets, and strongly regular graphs. This approach is generalized in [3] for the polar spaces $Q^-(2r+1,q), W(2r-1,q)$ and $H(2r,q^2)$, $r>2$. In [1] an improvement for the particular case $H(4,q^2)$ is obtained by exploiting the algebraic structure of the collinearity graph, and using the characterization of an $m$-ovoid as an intruiging set. In this paper, we use an approach based on geometrical and combinatorial arguments, inspired by the results from [10], to improve the bounds from [3].

Consider the point line-geometry ${\mathcal P}_t(n,k)$ having as points all the $[n,k]$-linear codes having minimum dual distance at least $t+1$ and where two points $X$ and $Y$ are collinear whenever $X\cap Y$ is a $[n,k-1]$-linear code having minimum dual distance at least $t+1$. We are interested in the collinearity graph $Λ_t(n,k)$ of ${\mathcal P}_t(n,k).$ The graph $Λ_t(n,k)$ is a subgraph of the Grassmann graph and also a subgraph of the graph $Δ_t(n,k)$ of the linear codes having minimum dual distance at least $t+1$ introduced in~[M. Kwiatkowski, M. Pankov, On the distance between linear codes, Finite Fields Appl. 39 (2016), 251--263, doi:10.1016/j.ffa.2016.02.004, arXiv:1506.00215]. We shall study the structure of $Λ_t(n,k)$ in relation to that of $Δ_t(n,k)$ and we will characterize the set of its isolated vertices. We will then focus on $Λ_1(n,k)$ and $Λ_2(n,k)$ providing necessary and sufficient conditions for them to be connected.
Improved Bound for the Gerver-Ramsey Collinearity Problem
Let $S$ be a finite subset of $\mathbb{Z}^n$. A vector sequence $(\mathbf{z}_i)$ is an $S$-walk if and only if $\mathbf{z}_{i+1} - \mathbf{z}_i$ is an element of $S$ for all $i$. Gerver and Ramsey showed in 1979 that for $S\subset \mathbb{Z}^3$ there exists an infinite $S$-walk in which no $5^{11} + 1=48{\small,}828{\small,}126$ points are collinear. Here, we use the same general approach, but with the aid of a computer search, to improve the bound to $189$.
Elekes-Szabó for collinearity on cubic surfaces
We study the orchard problem on cubic surfaces. We classify possibly reducible cubic surfaces $X\subseteq \mathbb{P}^3(\C)$ with smooth components on which there exist families of finite sets (of unbounded size) with quadratically many 3-rich lines which do not concentrate (in a natural sense) on any projective plane. Namely, we prove that such a family exists precisely when $X$ is a union of three planes sharing a common line.
Along the way, we obtain a general result about nilpotency of groups admitting an algebraic action satisfying an Elekes-Szabó condition, and we prove the following purely algebrogeometric statement: if the composition of four Geiser involutions through sufficiently generic points $a,b,c,d$ on a smooth irreducible cubic surface has infinitely many fixed points, then a single plane contains $a,b,c,d$ and all but finitely many of the fixed points.
The relation between symmetries and coincidence and collinearity of polygon centers and centers of multisets of points in the plane
There are several remarkable points, defined for polygons and multisets of points in the plane, called centers (such as the centroid). To make possible their study, there exists a formal definition for the concept of center in both cases. In this paper, the relation between symmetries of polygons and multisets of points in the plane and the coincidence and collinearity of their centers is studied. First, a precise statement for the problem is given. Then, it is proved that, given a polygon or a multiset of points in the plane, a given point in the plane is a center for this object if and only if it belongs to the set of points fixed by its group of symmetries.
Pseudo-Geometric Strongly Regular Graphs with a Regular Point
We study pseudo-geometric strongly regular graphs whose second subconstituent with respect to a vertex is a cover of a strongly regular graph or a complete graph. By studying the structure of such graphs, we characterize all graphs containing such a vertex, and use our characterization to find many new strongly regular graphs. Thereby, we answer a question posed by Gardiner, Godsil, Hensel, and Royle. We give an explicit construction for q new, pairwise non-isomorphic graphs with the same parameters as the collinearity graph of generalized quadrangles of order $(q,q)$ and a new non-geometric graph with the same parameters as the collinearity graph of the Hermitian generalized quadrangle of order $(q^2, q)$, for prime powers $q$. Using our characterization, we computed 135478 new strongly regular graphs with parameters (85,20,3,5) and 27 039 strongly regular graphs with parameters (156, 30, 4, 6).

The symplectic graph Sp(2d, q) is the collinearity graph of the symplectic space of dimension 2d over a finite field of order q. A k-regular graph on v vertices is a divisible design graph with parameters (v, k, lambda_1, lambda_2 ,m,n) if its vertex set can be partitioned into m classes of size n, such that any two different vertices from the same class have lambda_1 common neighbours, and any two vertices from different classes have lambda_2 common neighbours whenever it is not complete or edgeless. In this paper we propose a new construction of strongly regular graphs with the parameters of the complement of the symplectic graph using divisible design graphs.

We survey the area of strongly regular graphs satisfying the 4-vertex condition and find several new families. We describe a switching operation on collinearity graphs of polar spaces that produces cospectral graphs. The obtained graphs satisfy the 4-vertex condition if the original graph belongs to a symplectic polar space.
On the configurations of nine points on a cubic curve
We study the reciprocal position of nine points in the plane, according to their collinearities. In particular, we consider the case in which the nine points are contained in an irreducible cubic curve and we give their classification. If we consider two configurations different when the associated incidence structures are not isomorphic, we see that there are 131 configurations that can be realized in $\mathbb{P}^2_{\mathbb{Q}}$, and there are two more in $\mathbb{P}^2_K$, where
$K =\mathbb{Q}[\sqrt{-3}]$ (one of the two is the Hesse configuration given by the nine inflection points of a cubic curve). Finally, we compute the possible Hilbert functions of the ideals of the nine points.
New Strongly Regular Graphs from Finite Geometries via Switching
We show that the strongly regular graph on non-isotropic points of one type of the polar spaces of type $U(n, 2)$, $O(n, 3)$, $O(n, 5)$, $O^+(n, 3)$, and $O^-(n, 3)$ are not determined by its parameters for $n \geq 6$. We prove this by using a variation of Godsil-McKay switching recently described by Wang, Qiu, and Hu. This also results in a new, shorter proof of a previous result of the first author which showed that the collinearity graph of a polar space is not determined by its spectrum. The same switching gives a linear algebra explanation for the construction of a large number of non-isomorphic designs.
