Strict Log-concavity of $k$-coloured Partitions
In recent years, there has been extensive work on inequalities among partition functions. In particular, Nicolas, and independently DeSalvo--Pak, proved that the partition function $p(n)$ is eventually log-concave. Inspired by this and other results, Chern--Fu--Tang first conjectured log-concavity of $k$-coloured partitions. Three of the authors and Tripp later proved this conjecture by introducing recursive sequences and a strict inequality for fractional partition functions, giving explicit errors. In this paper, we show that the log-concavity is, in fact, strict for $k\geq 2$. We shed further light on this phenomenon by utilizing Hardy--Littlewood--Pólya's notion of majorizing. We prove that for partitions $\bm{a},\bm{b}$ of $n\in\N$, if $\bm b$ majorizes $\bm a$, then $p_k(\bm{b})>p_k(\bm{a})$. Numerical calculations indicate that our result is sharp.
Divisibility properties of weighted $k$ regular partitions
We study a generalized class of weighted $k$-regular partitions defined by \[ \sum_{n=0}^{\infty} c_{k, r_1, r_2}(n) q^n = \prod_{n=1}^{\infty} \frac{(1 - q^{nk})^{r_1}}{(1 - q^n)^{r_2}}, \] which extends the classical $k$-regular partition function $b_k(n)$. We establish new infinite families of Ramanujan-type congruences, divisibility results, and positive-density prime sets for which $c_{k, r_1, r_2}(n)$ vanishes modulo a given prime.
Vanishing properties of Fourier coefficients of holomorphic $η$-quotients
In this paper, we study vanishing of Fourier coefficients of holomorphic $η$-quotients. We investigate examples of two different types: the first one involves integral weight CM newforms, while the second one involves half-integral weight $η$-quotients associated with sums of squares and Hurwitz class numbers.
Sign changes of Fourier coefficients for holomorphic eta-quotients
In this paper we study sign changes of an infinite class of $η$-quotients which are holomorphic modular forms. There is also a relation to Hurwitz class numbers.
On a sign-change conjecture of Schlosser and Zhou
In this paper, we investigate the signs changes of Fourier coefficients of infinite products of $q$-series of Rogers--Ramanujan type. In particular, we prove a conjecture made by Schlosser--Zhou pertaining to such sign changes for products of modulus $10$.
Theta series of ternary quadratic lattice cosets

In this paper, we consider the decomposition of theta series for lattice cosets of ternary lattices. We show that the natural decomposition into an Eisenstein series, a unary theta function, and a cuspidal form which is orthogonal to unary theta functions correspond to the theta series for the genus, the deficiency of the theta series for the spinor genus from that of the genus, and the deficiency of the theta series for the class from that of the spinor genus, respectively. These three pieces are hence invariants of the genus, spinor genus, and class, respectively, extending known results for lattices and verifying a conjecture of the first author and Haensch. We furthermore extend the definition of $p$-neighbors to include lattice cosets and construct an algorithm to compute respresentatives for the classes in the genus or spinor genus via the $p$-neighborhoods.

Many papers have studied inequalities for partition functions. Recently, a number of papers have considered mixtures between additive and multiplicative behavior in such inequalities. In particular, Chern-Fu-Tang and Heim-Neuhauser gave conjectures on inequalities for coefficients of powers of the generating partition function. These conjectures were posed in the context of colored partitions and the Nekrasov-Okounkov formula. Here, we study the precise size of differences of products of two such coefficients. This allows us to prove the Chern-Fu-Tang conjecture and to show the Heim-Neuhauser conjecture in a certain range. The explicit error terms provided will also be useful in the future study of partition inequalities. These are laid out in a user-friendly way for the researcher in combinatorics interested in such analytic questions.

We extend recent results of Ono and Raji, relating the number of self-conjugate $7$-core partitions to Hurwitz class numbers. Furthermore, we give a combinatorial explanation for the curious equality $2\operatorname{sc}_7(8n+1) = \operatorname{c}_4(7n+2)$. We also conjecture that an equality of this shape holds if and only if $t=4$, proving the cases $t\in\{2,3,5\}$ and giving partial results for $t>5$.

In this paper, we consider sums of generalized polygonal numbers with repeats, generalizing Fermat's polygonal number theorem which was proven by Cauchy. In particular, we obtain the minimal number of generalized $m$-gonal numbers required to represent every positive integer and we furthermore generalize this result to obtain optimal bounds when many of the generalized $m$-gonal numbers are repeated $r$ times, where $r\in\mathbb{N}$ is fixed.

In this paper, we obtain formulas for the number of representations of positive integers as sums of arbitrarily many squares (and other polygonal numbers) with a certain natural weighting. The resulting weighted sums give Fourier coefficients of weight two quasimodular forms.
Inequalities for full rank differences of 2-marked Durfee symbols

In this paper, we obtain infinitely many non-trivial identities and inequalities between full rank differences for 2-marked Durfee symbols, a generalization of partitions introduced by Andrews. A certain strict inequality, which almost always holds, shows that identities for Dyson's rank, similar to those proven by Atkin and Swinnerton-Dyer, are quite rare. By showing an analogous strict inequality, we show that such non-trivial identities are also rare for the full rank, but on the other hand we obtain an infinite family of non-trivial identities, contrasting the partition theoretic case.

Andrews, Dyson, and Hickerson showed that 2 $q$-hypergeometric series, going back to Ramanujan, are related to real quadratic fields, which explains interesting properties of their Fourier coefficients. There is also an interesting relation of such series to automorphic forms. Here we construct more such examples arising from interesting combinatorial statistics.

In 1997 K. Ono and K. Soundararajan [Invent. Math. 130(1997)] proved that under the generalized Riemann hypothesis any positive odd integer greater than 2719 can be represented by the famous Ramanujan form $x^2+y^2+10z^2$, equivalently the form $2x^2+5y^2+4T_z$ represents all integers greater than 1359, where $T_z$ denotes the triangular number $z(z+1)/2$. Given positive integers $a,b,c$ we employ modular forms and the theory of quadratic forms to determine completely when the general form $ax^2+by^2+cT_z$ represents sufficiently large integers and establish similar results for the forms $ax^2+bT_y+cT_z$ and $aT_x+bT_y+cT_z$. Here are some consequences of our main theorems: (i) All sufficiently large odd numbers have the form $2ax^2+y^2+z^2$ if and only if all prime divisors of $a$ are congruent to 1 modulo 4. (ii) The form $ax^2+y^2+T_z$ is almost universal (i.e., it represents sufficiently large integers) if and only if each odd prime divisor of $a$ is congruent to 1 or 3 modulo 8. (iii) $ax^2+T_y+T_z$ is almost universal if and only if all odd prime divisors of $a$ are congruent to 1 modulo 4. (iv) When $v_2(a)\not=3$, the form $aT_x+T_y+T_z$ is almost universal if and only if all odd prime divisors of $a$ are congruent to 1 modulo 4 and $v_2(a)\not=5,7,...$, where $v_2(a)$ is the 2-adic order of $a$.
