We confirm a conjectural supercongruence involving Catalan numbers, which is one of the 100 selected open conjectures on congruences of Sun. The proof makes use of hypergeometric series identities and symbolic summation method.

Based on some combinatorial identities arising from symbolic summation, we extend two supercongruences on partial sums of hypergeometric series, which were originally conjectured by Guo and Schlosser and recently confirmed by Jana and Kalita.
Congruence properties for the trinomial coefficients
In this paper, we state and prove some congruence properties for the trinomial coeficients, one of which is similar to the Wolstenholme's theorem.
Some congruences related to a congruence of Van Hamme
We establish some supercongruences related to a supercongruence of Van Hamme, such as \begin{align*} \sum_{k=0}^{(p+1)/2} (-1)^k (4k-1)\frac{(-\frac{1}{2})_k^3}{k!^3} &\equiv p(-1)^{(p+1)/2}+p^3(2-E_{p-3})\pmod{p^{4}},\\ \sum_{k=0}^{(p+1)/2} (4k-1)^5 \frac{(-\frac{1}{2})_k^4}{k!^4} &\equiv 16p\pmod{p^{4}}, \end{align*} where $p$ is an odd prime and $E_{p-3}$ is the $(p-3)$-th Euler number. Our proof uses some congruences of Z.-W. Sun, the Wilf--Zeilberger method, Whipple's $_7F_6$ transformation, and the software package {\tt Sigma} developed by Schneider. We also put forward two related conjectures.
On a congruence involving $q$-Catalan numbers
Based on a $q$-congruence of the author and Petrov, we set up a $q$-analogue of Sun--Tauraso's congruence for sums of Catalan numbers, which extends a $q$-congruence due to Tauraso.

We establish a $q$-analogue of Sun--Zhao's congruence on harmonic sums. Based on this $q$-congruence and a $q$-series identity, we prove a congruence conjecture on sums of central $q$-binomial coefficients, which was recently proposed by Guo. We also deduce a $q$-analogue of a congruence due to Apagodu and Zeilberger from Guo's $q$-congruence.
Supercongruences arising from hypergeometric series identities
By using some hypergeometric series identities, we prove two supercongruences on truncated hypergeometric series, one of which is related to a modular Calabi--Yau threefold, and the other is regarded as $p$-adic analogue of an identity due to Ramanujan.

In 1997, van Hamme conjectured 13 Ramanujan-type supercongruences labeled (A.2)--(M.2). Using some combinatorial identities discovered by Sigma, we extend (A.2) and (H.2) to supercongruences modulo $p^4$ for primes $p\equiv 3\pmod{4}$, which appear to be new.

We give $q$-analogues of the following two Ramanujan-type formulas for $1/π$: \begin{align*} \sum_{k=0}^\infty (6k+1)\frac{(\frac{1}{2})_k^3}{k!^3 4^k} =\frac{4}π \quad\text{and}\quad \sum_{k=0}^\infty (-1)^k(6k+1)\frac{(\frac{1}{2})_k^3}{k!^3 8^k } =\frac{2\sqrt{2}}π. \end{align*} Our proof is based on two $q$-WZ pairs found by the first author in his earlier work.
Supercongruences between truncated ${}_3F_2$ hypergeometric series
We establish four supercongruences between truncated ${}_3F_2$ hypergeometric series involving $p$-adic Gamma functions, which extend some of the Rodriguez-Villegas supercongruences.

Using an identity due to Gessel and Stanton and some properties of the $p$-adic Gamma function, we establish a $p$-adic supercongruence for truncated hypergeometric series ${}_7F_6$. From it we deduce some related supercongruences, which extend certain recent results and confirm a supercongruence conjecture.

We establish some supercongruences for the truncated ${}_2F_1$ and ${}_3F_2$ hypergeometric series involving the $p$-adic Gamma functions. Some of these results extend the four Rodriguez-Villegas supercongruences on the truncated ${}_3F_2$ hypergeometric series. The corresponding conjectural supercongruences modulo $p^3$ are also proposed for further research.

In 2003, Rodriguez-Villegas conjectured four supercongruences on the truncated ${}_3F_2$ hypergeometric series for certain modular K3 surfaces, which were gradually proved by several authors. Motivated by some supercongruences on combinatorial numbers such as Apéry numbers and Domb numbers, we establish some new supercongruences on the truncated ${}_3F_2$ hypergeometric series, which extend the four Rodriguez-Villegas supercongruences.

Let the numbers $α_n,β_n$ and $γ_n$ denote \begin{align*} α_n=\sum_{k=0}^{n-1}{2k\choose k},\quad β_n=\sum_{k=0}^{n-1}{2k\choose k}\frac{1}{k+1}\quad\text{and}\quad γ_n=\sum_{k=0}^{n-1}{2k\choose k}\frac{3k+2}{k+1}, \end{align*} respectively. We prove that for any prime $p\ge 5$ and positive integer $n$ \begin{align*} α_{np}&\equiv \left(\frac{p}{3}\right) α_n \pmod{p^2},\\ β_{np}&\equiv \begin{cases} \displaystyle β_n \pmod{p^2},\quad &\text{if $p\equiv 1\pmod{3}$},\\ -γ_n \pmod{p^2},\quad &\text{if $p\equiv 2\pmod{3}$}, \end{cases} \end{align*} where $\left(\frac{\cdot}{p}\right)$ denotes the Legendre symbol. These two supercongruences were recently conjectured by Apagodu and Zeilberger.

Rodriguez-Villegas conjectured four supercongruences associated to certain elliptic curves, which were first confirmed by Mortenson by using the Gross-Koblitz formula. In this paper, we aim to prove four supercongruences between two truncated hypergeometric series ${}_2F_1$. This generalizes these four Rodriguez-Villegas supercongruences.

The Delannoy numbers and Schröder numbers are given by \begin{align*} D_n=\sum_{k=0}^n{n\choose k}{n+k\choose k}\quad \text{and}\quad S_n=\sum_{k=0}^n{n\choose k}{n+k\choose k}\frac{1}{k+1}, \end{align*} respectively. Let $p>3$ be a prime. We mainly prove that \begin{align*} \sum_{k=1}^{p-1}D_k S_k\equiv 2p^3B_{p-3}-2pH^{*}_{p-1} \pmod{p^4}, \end{align*} where $B_n$ is the $n$-th Bernoulli number and those $H^{*}_n$ are the alternating harmonic numbers given by $H^{*}_n=\sum_{k=1}^{n}\frac{(-1)^k}{k}$. This supercongruence was originally conjectured by Z.-W. Sun in 2011.
