On a pair of three-colored (mod 10) partition identities
We prove a pair of (mod 10) partition identities. The sum sides involve three-colored partitions into distinct parts, while the product sides are the generating functions for distinct partitions times the Rogers-Ramanujan products. Our proofs make heavy use of Maple to verify that functional equations are satisfied.
Tight cylindric partitions
In this note, we initiate the study of generating functions for tight cylindric partitions. For general (i.e., $r$-rowed for $r\geq 2$) tight cylindric partitions, we provide analogs of the Corteel--Welsh functional equations. We prove closed forms for the bivariate generating functions for 2-rowed tight cylindric partitions. We also show that these partitions are in bijection with a class of partitions studied by Dousse, Hardiman, and Konan.
Remarks on the conjectures of Capparelli, Meurman, Primc and Primc
In a sequence of two papers, S. Capparelli, A. Meurman, A. Primc, M. Primc (CMPP) and then M. Primc put forth three remarkable sets of conjectures, stating that the generating functions of coloured integer partition in which the parts satisfy restrictions on the multiplicities admit simple infinite product forms. While CMPP related one set of conjectures to the principally specialised characters of standard modules for the affine Lie algebra $\mathrm{C}_n^{(1)}$, finding a Lie-algebraic interpretation for the remaining two sets remained an open problem. In this paper, we use the work of Griffin, Ono and the fourth author on Rogers-Ramanujan identities for affine Lie algebras to solve this problem, relating the remaining two sets of conjectures to non-standard specialisations of standard modules for $\mathrm{A}_{2n}^{(2)}$ and $\mathrm{D}_{n+1}^{(2)}$. We also use their work to formulate conjectures for the bivariate generating function of one-parameter families of CMPP partitions in terms of Hall-Littlewood symmetric functions. We make a detailed study of several further aspects of CMPP partitions, obtaining (i) functional equations for bivariate generating functions which generalise the well-known Rogers-Selberg equations, (ii) a partial level-rank duality in the $\mathrm{A}_{2n}^{(2)}$ case, and (iii) (conjectural) identities of the Rogers-Ramanujan type for $\mathrm{D}_3^{(2)}$.
A refinement of and a companion to MacMahon's partition identity
We provide a refinement of MacMahon's partition identity on sequence-avoiding partitions, and use it to produce another mod 6 partition identity. In addition, we show that our technique also extends to cover Andrews's generalization of MacMahon's identity. Our proofs are bijective in nature, exploiting a theorem of Xiong and Keith.
Companions to the Andrews-Gordon and Andrews-Bressoud identities, and recent conjectures of Capparelli, Meurman, Primc, and Primc
We find bivariate generating functions for the $k=1$ cases of recently conjectured colored partition identities of Capparelli, Meurman, A. Primc, and M. Primc that are slight variants of the generating functions for the sum sides of the Andrews-Gordon and Andrews-Bressoud identities, relating them to recent work of Warnaar. This $k=1$ cases turn out to be equivalent to identities of Jing, Misra, and Savage. Finally, we provide bijections for these identities involving two-line cylindric partitions, in the spirit of Corteel.

We provide an observation relating several known and conjectured $q$-series identities to the theory of principal subspaces of basic modules for twisted affine Lie algebras. We also state and prove two new families of $q$-series identities. The first family provides quadruple sum representations for Nandi's identities, including a manifestly positive representation for the first identity. The second is a family of new mod 10 identities connected with principal characters of level 4 integrable, highest-weight modules of $\mathrm{D}_4^{(3)}$.

We study the Andrews-Schilling-Warnaar sum-sides for the principal characters of standard (i.e., integrable, highest weight) modules of $\mathrm{A}_2^{(1)}$. These characters have been studied recently by various subsets of Corteel, Dousse, Foda, Uncu, Warnaar and Welsh. We prove complete sets of identities for moduli $5$ through $8$ and $10$, in Andrews-Schilling-Warnaar form. The cases of moduli $6$ and $10$ are new. Our methods depend on the Corteel-Welsh recursions governing the cylindric partitions and on certain relations satisfied by the Andrews-Schilling-Warnaar sum-sides. We speculate on the role of the latter in the proofs of higher modulus identities. Further, we provide a complete set of conjectures for modulus $9$. In fact, we show that at any given modulus, a complete set of conjectures may be deduced using a subset of "seed" conjectures. These seed conjectures are obtained by appropriately truncating conjectures for the "infinite" level. Additionally, for moduli $3k$, we use an identity of Weierstrass to deduce new sum-product identities starting from the results of Andrews-Schilling-Warnaar.

We prove certain Nahm-type sum representations for the (odd modulus) Andrews-Gordon identities, the (even modulus) Andrews-Bressoud identities, and Rogers' false theta functions. These identities are motivated on one hand by a recent work of C. Jennings-Shaffer and one of us on double pole series, and, on the other hand, by Córdova, Gaiotto and Shao's work on defect Schur's indices.
A variant of ${\texttt{IdentityFinder}}$ and some new identities of Rogers-Ramanujan-MacMahon type
We report on findings of a variant of ${\texttt{IdentityFinder}}$ - a Maple program that was used by two of the authors to conjecture several new identities of Rogers-Ramanujan kind. In the present search, we modify the parametrization of the search space by taking into consideration several aspects of Lepowsky and Wilson's $Z$-algebraic mechanism and its variant by Meurman and Primc. We search for identities based on forbidding the appearance of "flat" partitions as sub-partitions. Several new identities of Rogers-Ramanujan-MacMahon type are found and proved.
Staircases to analytic sum-sides for many new integer partition identities of Rogers-Ramanujan type

We utilize the technique of staircases and jagged partitions to provide analytic sum-sides to some old and new partition identities of Rogers-Ramanujan type. Firstly, we conjecture a class of new partition identities related to the principally specialized characters of certain level $2$ modules for the affine Lie algebra $A_9^{(2)}$. Secondly, we provide analytic sum-sides to some earlier conjectures of the authors. Next, we use these analytic sum-sides to discover a number of further generalizations. Lastly, we apply this technique to the well-known Capparelli identities and present analytic sum-sides which we believe to be new. All of the new conjectures presented in this article are supported by a strong mathematical evidence.
On a dual and an overpartition generalization of a family of identities of Andrews
We present a dual of a family of partition identities of Andrews involving partitions with no repeated odd parts (among other conditions), along with an overpartition generalization that encapsulates both families. These were discovered during the course of research for an upcoming article by the authors along with Debajyoti Nandi. The proof uses Appell's comparison theorem.
IdentityFinder and some new identities of Rogers-Ramanujan type

The Rogers-Ramanujan identities and various analogous identities (Gordon, Andrews-Bressoud, Capparelli, etc.) form a family of very deep identities concerned with integer partitions. These identities (written in generating function form) are typically of the form "product side" equals "sum side," with the product side enumerating partitions obeying certain congruence conditions and the sum side obeying certain initial conditions and difference conditions (along with possibly other restrictions). We use symbolic computation to generate various such sum sides and then use Euler's algorithm to see which of them actually do produce elegant conjectured product sides. We not only rediscover many of the known identities but also discover some apparently new ones, as conjectures supported by strong mathematical evidence.
A motivated proof of the Göllnitz-Gordon-Andrews identities

We present what we call a "motivated proof" of the Göllnitz-Gordon-Andrews identities. A similar motivated proof of the Rogers-Ramanujan identities was previously given by G. E. Andrews and R. J. Baxter, and was subsequently generalized to Gordon's identities by J. Lepowsky and M. Zhu. We anticipate that the present proof of the Göllnitz-Gordon-Andrews identities will illuminate certain twisted vertex-algebraic constructions.

We present what we call a "motivated proof" of the Andrews-Bressoud partition identities for even moduli. A "motivated proof" of the Rogers-Ramanujan identities was given by G. E. Andrews and R. J. Baxter, and this proof was generalized to the odd-moduli case of Gordon's identities by J. Lepowsky and M. Zhu. Recently, a "motivated proof" of the somewhat analogous Göllnitz-Gordon-Andrews identities has been found. In the present work, we introduce "shelves" of formal series incorporating what we call "ghost series," which allow us to pass from one shelf to the next via natural recursions, leading to our motivated proof. We anticipate that these new series will provide insight into the ongoing program of vertex-algebraic categorification of the various "motivated proofs."

We exhibit a family of sequences of noncommutative variables, recursively defined using monic palindromic polynomials in $\mathbb Q[x]$, and show that each possesses the Laurent phenomenon. This generalizes a conjecture by Kontsevich.
