A catalog of matchstick graphs
Classification of planar unit-distance graphs with up to 9 edges, by homeomorphism and isomorphism classes. With exactly nine edges, there are 633 nonisomorphic connected matchstick graphs, of which 196 are topologically distinct from each other. Increasing edges' number, their quantities rise more than exponentially, in a still unclear way.
Automorphisms of Cayley graphs generated by transposition sets
Let $S$ be a set of transpositions such that the girth of the transposition graph of $S$ is at least 5. It is shown that the automorphism group of the Cayley graph of the permutation group $H$ generated by $S$ is the semidirect product $R(H) \rtimes \Aut(H,S)$, where $R(H)$ is the right regular representation of $H$ and $\Aut(H,S)$ is the set of automorphisms of $H$ that fixes $S$ setwise. Furthermore, if the connected components of the transposition graph of $S$ are isomorphic to each other, then $\Aut(H,S)$ is isomorphic to the automorphism group of the line graph of the transposition graph of $S$. This result is a common generalization of previous results by Feng, Ganesan, Harary, Mirafzal, and Zhang and Huang. As another special case, we obtain the automorphism group of the extended cube graph that was proposed as a topology for interconnection networks.

The domination polynomial of a graph is the polynomial whose coefficients count the number of dominating sets of each cardinality. A recent question asks which graphs are uniquely determined (up to isomorphism) by their domination polynomial. In this paper, we completely describe the complete r-partite graphs which are; in the bipartite case, this settles in the affirmative a conjecture of Aalipour, Akbari and Ebrahimi.

We study the relationship between the positivity property in a rank 2 cluster algebra, and the property of such an algebra to be tame. More precisely, we show that a rank 2 cluster algebra has a basis of indecomposable positive elements if and only if it is of finite or affine type. This statement disagrees with a conjecture by Fock and Goncharov.

We formulate a notion of abstract loop equations, and show that their solution is provided by a topological recursion under some assumptions, in particular the result takes a universal form. The Schwinger-Dyson equation of the one and two hermitian matrix models, and of the O(n) model appear as special cases. We study applications to repulsive particles systems, and explain how our notion of loop equations are related to Virasoro constraints. Then, as a special case, we study in detail applications to enumeration problems in a general class of non-intersecting loop models on the random lattice of all topologies, to SU(N) Chern-Simons invariants of torus knots in the large N expansion. We also mention an application to Liouville theory on surfaces of positive genus.
Smoothness and singularities of the perfect form and the second Voronoi compactification of ${\mathcal A}_g$
We study the cones in the first Voronoi or perfect cone decomposition of quadratic forms with respect to the question which of these cones are basic or simplicial. As a consequence we deduce that the singular locus of the moduli stack ${\mathcal A_g^{\mathop{Perf}}}$, the toroidal compactification of the moduli space of principally polarized abelian varieties of dimension $g$ given by this decomposition, has codimension $10$ if $g \geq 4$. Moreover we describe the non-simplicial locus in codimension $10$. We also show that the second Voronoi compactification ${\mathcal A_{g}^{\mathop{Vor}}}$ has singularities in codimension $3$ for $g\geq 5$.
Descent sets for symplectic groups

The descent set of an oscillating (or up-down) tableau is introduced. This descent set plays the same role in the representation theory of the symplectic groups as the descent set of a standard tableau plays in the representation theory of the general linear groups. In particular, we show that the descent set is preserved by Sundaram's correspondence. This gives a direct combinatorial interpretation of the branching rules for the defining representations of the symplectic groups; equivalently, for the Frobenius character of the action of a symmetric group on an isotypic subspace in a tensor power of the defining representation of a symplectic group.
Arithmetic of triangles
In this paper, we consider a set of similar triangles with parallel sides, along with a set of points in the plane. It turns out that the set $\mathbb{R}_2= \{\pm <x >=\pm (x^2,x,1); x\in\mathbb{R} \}$ describes this set of triangles quite well. The set $\mathbb{R}_2$ is a subset of the ring $\mathbb{R}^3=\mathbb{R}\times\mathbb{R}\times\mathbb{R}= \{ (x,y,z) ; x,y,z\in\mathbb{R} \}$ with addition and multiplication defined coordinate-wise.
The set $\mathbb{R}_2$ is equipped with two operations. Multiplication is inherited from the ring $\mathbb{R}^3$, while addition is a ternary operation that represents homothety and translation of elements in $\mathbb{R}_2$.
However, the defined addition has its limitations. It turns out that, within this framework, the reduction of terms with different signs is not always possible. This leads to the distinction between an equation that is true in the arithmetic sense and one that is true in the geometric sense.
A novel form of addition in $\mathbb{R}_2$ leads to intriguing properties of multiplication in $\mathbb{R}_2$, which are examined in a dedicated chapter.
In the next section we use the construction of adding to describe the dissection of the triangle into 15 triangles of different sides.
In the final two sections, we consider a set of two kinds of vectors, along with a set of points on the line. The set $\mathbb{R}_1= \{\pm <x >=\pm (x,1); x\in\mathbb{R} \}$ describes this set vectors quite well and it is a one-dimensional reduction of the set $\mathbb{R}_2$.
Bounds on the diameters of $r$-stacked and $k$-neighborly polytopes
We improve Larman's bound on the diameter of a polytope by showing that if $Δ$ is a normal simplicial complex, all of whose missing faces have size at most $r$, then the diameter of the facet-ridge graph of $Δ$ is not larger than $2^{r-2}n$, where $n$ is the number of vertices of $Δ$. We then use this result to provide new upper bounds on the diameters of the facet-ridge graphs of $k$-neighborly spheres, $r$-stacked spheres, and polytopes with small $g_r$. Specifically, our bounds imply that $r$-stacked spheres with $r=O(\log n)$ satisfy the polynomial Hirsch conjecture.
Extending the parking space

The action of the symmetric group $S_n$ on the set $Park_n$ of parking functions of size $n$ has received a great deal of attention in algebraic combinatorics. We prove that the action of $S_n$ on $Park_n$ extends to an action of $S_{n+1}$. More precisely, we construct a graded $S_{n+1}$-module $V_n$ such that the restriction of $V_n$ to $S_n$ is isomorphic to $Park_n$. We describe the $S_n$-Frobenius characters of the module $V_n$ in all degrees and describe the $S_{n+1}$-Frobenius characters of $V_n$ in extreme degrees. We give a bivariate generalization $V_n^{(\ell, m)}$ of our module $V_n$ whose representation theory is governed by a bivariate generalization of Dyck paths. A Fuss generalization of our results is a special case of this bivariate generalization.

In $PG(2,q^3)$, let $π$ be a subplane of order $q$ that is tangent to $\ell_infty$. The tangent splash of $π$ is defined to be the set of $q^2+1$ points on $\ell_infty$ that lie on a line of $π$. This article investigates properties of the tangent splash. We show that all tangent splashes are projectively equivalent, investigate sublines contained in a tangent splash, and consider the structure of a tangent splash in the Bruck-Bose representation of $PG(2,q^3)$ in $PG(6,q)$. We show that a tangent splash of $PG(1,q^3)$ is a $GF(q)$-linear set of rank 3 and size $q^2+1$; this allows us to use results about linear sets from \cite{lavr10} to obtain properties of tangent splashes.
Signless laplacian characteristic polynomials of regular graph transformations
Let $G$ be a simple $r$-regular graph with $n$ vertices and $m$ vertices. We give the signless Laplacian characteristic polynomials of $xyz$-transformations $G^{xyz}$ of $G$ in terms of $n$, $m$, $r$ and the signless Laplacian spectrum of $G$.

In a first part, we formalize the construction of combinatorial Hopf algebras from plactic-like monoids using polynomial realizations. Thank to this construction we reveal a lattice structure on those combinatorial Hopf algebras. As an application, we construct a new combinatorial Hopf algebra on binary trees with multiplicities and use it to prove a hook length formula for those trees.
Sorting in Lattices
In a totally ordered set the notion of sorting a finite sequence is defined through a suitable permutation of the sequence's indices. In this paper we prove a simple formula that explicitly describes how the elements of a sequence are related to those of its sorted counterpart. As this formula relies only on the minimum and maximum functions we use it to define the notion of sorting for lattices. A major difference of sorting in lattices is that it does not guarantee that sequence elements are only rearranged. However, we can show that other fundamental properties that are associated with sorting are preserved.

The smallest nonevasive graph property

A property of n-vertex graphs is called evasive if every algorithm testing this property by asking questions of the form "is there an edge between vertices u and v" requires, in the worst case, to ask about all pairs of vertices. Most "natural" graph properties are either evasive or conjectured to be such, and of the few examples of nontrivial nonevasive properties scattered in the literature the smallest one has n=6. We exhibit a nontrivial, nonevasive property of 5-vertex graphs and show that it is essentially the unique such with n at most 5.
An upper bound theorem for a class of flag weak pseudomanifolds
If K is an odd-dimensional flag closed manifold, flag generalized homology sphere or a more general flag weak pseudomanifold with sufficiently many vertices, then the maximal number of edges in K is achieved by the balanced join of cycles.
The proof relies on stability results from extremal graph theory. In the case of manifolds we also offer an alternative (very) short proof utilizing the non-embeddability theorem of Flores.
The main theorem can also be interpreted without the topological contents as a graph-theoretic extremal result about a class of graphs such that 1) every maximal clique in the graph has size d+1 and 2) every clique of size d belongs to exactly two maximal cliques.
On the approximate shape of degree sequences that are not potentially $H$-graphic

A sequence of nonnegative integers $π$ is {\it graphic} if it is the degree sequence of some graph $G$. In this case we say that $G$ is a \textit{realization} of $π$, and we write $π=π(G)$. A graphic sequence $π$ is {\it potentially $H$-graphic} if there is a realization of $π$ that contains $H$ as a subgraph.
Given nonincreasing graphic sequences $π_1=(d_1,\ldots,d_n)$ and $π_2 = (s_1,\ldots,s_n)$, we say that $π_1$ {\it majorizes} $π_2$ if $d_i \geq s_i$ for all $i$, $1 \leq i \leq n$. In 1970, Erdős showed that for any $K_{r+1}$-free graph $H$, there exists an $r$-partite graph $G$ such that $π(G)$ majorizes $π(H)$. In 2005, Pikhurko and Taraz generalized this notion and showed that for any graph $F$ with chromatic number $r+1$, the degree sequence of an $F$-free graph is, in an appropriate sense, nearly majorized by the degree sequence of an $r$-partite graph.
In this paper, we give similar results for degree sequences that are not potentially $H$-graphic. In particular, there is a graphic sequence $π^*(H)$ such that if $π$ is a graphic sequence that is not potentially $H$-graphic, then $π$ is close to being majorized by $π^*(H)$. Similar to the role played by complete multipartite graphs in the traditional extremal setting, the sequence $π^*(H)$ asymptotically gives the maximum possible sum of a graphic sequence $π$ that is not potentially $H$-graphic.
Non-uniqueness phase of Bernoulli percolation on reflection groups for some polyhedra in H^3

In the present paper I consider Cayley graphs of reflection groups of finite-sided Coxeter polyhedra in 3-dimensional hyperbolic space H^3, with standard sets of generators. As the main result, I prove the existence of non-trivial non-uniqueness phase of bond and site Bernoulli percolation on such graphs, i.e. that p_c < p_u, for two classes of such polyhedra:
* for any k-hedra as above with k at least 13;
* for any compact right-angled polyhedra as above.
I also establish a natural lower bound for the growth rate of such Cayley graphs (when the number of faces of the polyhedron is at least 6; see thm. 5.2) and an upper bound for the growth rate of the sequence (#{simple cycles of length n through o})_n for a regular graph of degree at least 2 with a distinguished vertex o, depending on its spectral radius (see thm. 5.1 and rem. 2.3), both used to prove the main result.
