We give a complete classification of torsion pairs in repetitive cluster categories of type $A_n$, which were defined by Zhu as the orbit categories, via certain configurations of diagonals, called Ptolemy diagrams. As applications, we classify rigid subcategories, which gives Lamberti's classification of cluster tilting subcategories. When $p = 1$, this generalizes the work of Holm, Jorgensen and Rubey for the classification of torsion pairs in cluster categories of type $A_n$.

In this note, we give a simple closed formula for an arbitrary product, landing in dimension 0, of boundary classes on the Deligne--Mumford moduli space M_0,n-bar. For any such boundary strata $X_{T_1}, \ldots, X_{T_\ell}$, we show the intersection product $\int \prod_{i=1}^\ell [X_{T_i}]$ is either a signed product of multinomial coefficients, or zero, and provide a simple criterion for determining when it is nonzero.
We do not claim originality for our product formula, but to our knowledge it does not appear elsewhere in the literature.
Orientably-regular embeddings of complete multigraphs
An embedding of a graph on an orientable surface is orientably-regular (or rotary, in an equivalent terminology) if the group of orientation-preserving automorphisms of the embedding is transitive (and hence regular) on incident vertex-edge pairs of the graph. A classification of orientably-regular embeddings of complete graphs was obtained by L. D. James and G. A. Jones [in "Regular orientable imbeddings of complete graphs", J. Combinatorial Theory Ser. B 39 (1985), 353-367], pointing out interesting connections to finite fields and Frobenius groups. By a combination of graph-theoretic methods and tools from combinatorial group theory we extend results of James and Jones to classification of orientably-regular embeddings of complete multigraphs with arbitrary edge-multiplicity.
Chromatic functions, interval orders and increasing forests
The chromatic quasisymmetric functions (csf) of Shareshian and Wachs associated to unit interval orders have attracted a lot of interest since their introduction in 2016, both in combinatorics and geometry, because of their relation to the famous Stanley-Stembridge conjecture (1993) and to the topology of Hessenberg varieties, respectively. In the present work we study the csf associated to the larger class of interval orders with no restriction on the length of the intervals. Inspired by an article of Abreu and Nigro, we show that these csf are weighted sums of certain quasisymmetric functions associated to the increasing spanning forests of the associated incomparability graphs. Furthermore, we define quasisymmetric functions that include the unicellular LLT symmetric functions and generalize an identity due to Carlsson and Mellit. Finally we conjecture a formula giving their expansion in the type 1 power sum quasisymmetric functions which should extend a theorem of Athanasiadis.
Folding median graphs
Extending Stallings' foldings of trees, we show in this article that every parallel-preserving map between median graphs factors as an isometric embedding through a sequence of elementary transformations which we call foldings and swellings. This new construction proposes a unified point of view on Beeker and Lazarovich's work on folding pocsets and on Ben-Zvi, Kropholler, and Lyman's work on folding nonpositively curved cube complexes.
A Study of Abstract Elementary Classes in the context of Graphs
In the framework of graphs, we study abstract elementary classes (aecs). In this work we analyze several properties of Forb(G) and versions of Forb-Con(G) in the context of aecs and we present some examples of classes of graphs which contradicts amalgamation property.

The asymptotic behavior of the Jaccard index in $G(n,p)$, the classical Erdös-Rényi random graphs model, is studied in this paper, as $n$ goes to infinity. We first derive the asymptotic distribution of the Jaccard index of any pair of distinct vertices, as well as the first two moments of this index. Then the average of the Jaccard indices over all vertex pairs in $G(n,p)$ is shown to be asymptotically normal under an additional mild condition that $np\to\infty$ and $n^2(1-p)\to\infty$.
Polynomially Over-Parameterized Convolutional Neural Networks Contain Structured Strong Winning Lottery Tickets

The Strong Lottery Ticket Hypothesis (SLTH) states that randomly-initialised neural networks likely contain subnetworks that perform well without any training. Although unstructured pruning has been extensively studied in this context, its structured counterpart, which can deliver significant computational and memory efficiency gains, has been largely unexplored. One of the main reasons for this gap is the limitations of the underlying mathematical tools used in formal analyses of the SLTH. In this paper, we overcome these limitations: we leverage recent advances in the multidimensional generalisation of the Random Subset-Sum Problem and obtain a variant that admits the stochastic dependencies that arise when addressing structured pruning in the SLTH. We apply this result to prove, for a wide class of random Convolutional Neural Networks, the existence of structured subnetworks that can approximate any sufficiently smaller network.
This result provides the first sub-exponential bound around the SLTH for structured pruning, opening up new avenues for further research on the hypothesis and contributing to the understanding of the role of over-parameterization in deep learning.
A matroidal perspective on the tropical Prym variety
We associate a matroid $M(\widetildeΓ/Γ)$ to a harmonic double cover $π:\widetildeΓ\to Γ$ of metric graphs. The matroid $M(\widetildeΓ/Γ)$ is a geometric interpretation of Zaslavsky's signed graphic matroid. We show that the principalization $\mathrm{Prym}_p(\widetildeΓ/Γ)$ of the tropical Prym variety of the double cover can be reconstructed from $M(\widetildeΓ/Γ)$, equipped with certain additional decorations. We describe the simplification of the matroid $M(\widetildeΓ/Γ)$ and show that the Prym variety does not change under simplification.
Capacitated Network Bargaining Games: Stability and Structure
Capacitated network bargaining games are popular combinatorial games that involve the structure of matchings in graphs. We show that it is always possible to stabilize unit-weight instances of this problem (that is, ensure that they admit a stable outcome) via capacity-reduction and edge-removal operations, without decreasing the total value that the players can get.
Furthermore, for general weighted instances, we show that computing a minimum amount of vertex-capacity to reduce to make an instance stable is a polynomial-time solvable problem. We then exploit this to give approximation results for the NP-hard problem of stabilizing a graph via edge-removal operations.
Our work extends and generalizes previous results in the literature that dealt with a unit-capacity version of the problem, using several new arguments. In particular, while previous results mainly used combinatorial techniques, we here rely on polyhedral arguments and, more specifically, on the notion of circuits of a polytope.
High-dimensional envy-free partitions
A vast array of envy-free results have been found for the subdivision of one-dimensional resources, such as the interval $[0,1]$. The goal is to divide the space into $n$ pieces and distribute them among $n$ observers such that each receives their favorite pieces. We study high-dimensional versions of these results. We prove that several spaces of convex partitions of $\mathbb{R}^d$ allow for envy-free division among any $n$ observers. We also prove the existence of convex partitions of $\mathbb{R}^d$ which allow for envy-free divisions among several groups of $n$ observers simultaneously.
On the Weisfeiler algorithm of depth-$1$ stabilization

An origin of the multidimensional Weisfeiler-Leman algorithm goes back to a refinement procedure of deep stabilization, introduced by B. Weisfeiler in a paper included in the collective monograph ``On construction and identification of graphs"(1976). This procedure is recursive and the recursion starts from an algorithm of depth-$1$ stabilization, which has never been discussed in the literature. A goal of the present paper is to show that a simplified algorithm of the depth-$1$ stabilization has the same power as the $3$-dimensional Weisfeiler-Leman algorithm. It is proved that the class of coherent configurations obtained at the output of this simplified algorithm coincides with the class introduced earlier by the third author. As an application we also prove that if there exist at least two nonisomorphic projective planes of order $q$, then the Weisfeiler-Leman dimension of the incidence graph of any projective plane of order $q$ is at least $4$.
Ghost Value Augmentation for $k$-Edge-Connectivity

We give a poly-time algorithm for the $k$-edge-connected spanning subgraph ($k$-ECSS) problem that returns a solution of cost no greater than the cheapest $(k+10)$-ECSS on the same graph. Our approach enhances the iterative relaxation framework with a new ingredient, which we call ghost values, that allows for high sparsity in intermediate problems.
Our guarantees improve upon the best-known approximation factor of $2$ for $k$-ECSS whenever the optimal value of $(k+10)$-ECSS is close to that of $k$-ECSS. This is a property that holds for the closely related problem $k$-edge-connected spanning multi-subgraph ($k$-ECSM), which is identical to $k$-ECSS except edges can be selected multiple times at the same cost. As a consequence, we obtain a $\left(1+O\left(\frac{1}{k}\right)\right)$-approximation algorithm for $k$-ECSM, which resolves a conjecture of Pritchard and improves upon a recent $\left(1+O\left(\frac{1}{\sqrt{k}}\right)\right)$-approximation algorithm of Karlin, Klein, Oveis Gharan, and Zhang. Moreover, we present a matching lower bound for $k$-ECSM, showing that our approximation ratio is tight up to the constant factor in $O\left(\frac{1}{k}\right)$, unless $P=NP$.
On the Number of Shortest Paths in Graphs
It is proved that the number of shortest paths between two vertices of distance $t$ in a graph with degrees bounded by $Δ$ is at most $2 \cdot (\fracΔ{2})^t$. This improves upon the naïve $Δ(Δ-1) ^{t-1}$ bound.
The Minimum Clique Routing Problem on Cycles

In the Minimum Clique Routing Problem on Cycles \textsc{MCRPC} we are given a cycle together with a set of demands (weighted origin-destination pairs) and the goal is to route all the pairs minimizing the maximum weighted clique of the intersection graph induced by the routing. The vertices of this graph are the demands with their corresponding weights and two demands are adjacent when their routes share at least one arc. In this work we are not only interested in the \textsc{MCRPC} but also in two natural subproblems. First, we consider the situation where the demands are disjoint, in the sense that every two demands do not share any of their corresponding ends. Second, we analyze the subproblem where the weights of the routes are all equal. We first show that the problem is NP-complete even in the subproblem of disjoint demands. For the case of arbitrary weights, we exhibit a simple combinatorial 2-approximation algorithm and a $\frac{3}{2}$-approximation algorithm based on rounding a solution of a relaxation of an integer linear programming formulation of our problem. Finally, we give a Fixed Parameter Tractable algorithm for the case of uniform weights, whose parameter is related to the maximum degree of the intersection graph induced by any routing.

We extend the recently-introduced weak Bruhat interval modules of the type A $0$-Hecke algebra to all finite Coxeter types. We determine, in a type-independent manner, structural properties for certain general families of these modules, with a primary focus on projective covers and injective hulls. We apply this approach to recover a number of results on type A $0$-Hecke modules in a uniform way, and obtain some additional results on recently-introduced families of type A $0$-Hecke modules.
The fractional chromatic number of the plane is at least 4
We prove that the fractional chromatic number $χ_f(\mathbb R^2)$ of the unit distance graph of the Euclidean plane is greater than or equal to $4$. Interestingly, however, we cannot present a finite subgraph $G$ of the plane such that $χ_f(G)\ge 4$. Instead, we utilize the concept of the geometric fractional chromatic number $χ_{gf}(G)$, which was introduced recently in connection with density bounds for 1-avoiding sets.
First, as $G$ ranges over finite subgraphs of the plane, we establish that the supremum of $χ_f(G)$ is the same as that of $χ_{gf}(G)$. The proof exploits the amenability of the group of Euclidean transformations in dimension 2 and, as such, we do not know whether the analogous statement holds in higher dimensions. We then present a specific planar unit distance graph $G$ on 27 vertices such that $χ_{gf}(G)=4$, and conclude $χ_f(\mathbb R^2)\ge 4$ as a corollary.
As another main result we show that the finitary fractional chromatic number and the Hall ratio of the plane are equal. As a consequence, we conclude that there exist finite unit distance graphs with independence ratio $\frac{1}{4}+\varepsilon$, while we conjecture that the value $\frac{1}{4}$ cannot be reached.

We show the existence of a constant $c > 0$ such that, for all positive integers $n$, there exist integers $1 \leq a_1 < \ldots < a_k \leq n$ such that there are at least $cn^2$ distinct integers of the form $\sum_{i=u}^{v}a_i$ with $1 \leq u \leq v \leq k$. This answers a question of Erdős and Graham. We also prove a non-trivial upper bound on the maximum number of distinct integers of this form and address several open problems.
Two associative operads of packed words
The associative operad is a central structure in operad theory, defined on the linear span of the set of permutations. We build two analogs of the associative operad on the linear span of the set of packed words which turn out to be set-theoretical. By seeing a packed word as a surjective map between two finite sets, our first operad is graded by the cardinality of the domain and the second one, by the cardinality of the codomain. In the same way as the associative operad of permutations contains as quotients the duplicial and interstice operads, we derive similar structures for our operads of packed words. We propose also an analogue of Dynkin idempotent of Zie algebras in this context of operads of packed words.
Polynomial realizations of natural Hopf algebras of nonsymmetric operads
The natural Hopf algebra $\mathcal{N} \mathcal{O}$ of an operad $\mathcal{O}$ is a Hopf algebra whose bases are indexed by some words on $\mathcal{O}$. We introduce new bases of these Hopf algebras deriving from free operads via new lattice structures on their basis elements. We construct polynomial realizations of $\mathcal{N} \mathcal{O}$ by using alphabets of variables endowed with unary and binary relations. By specializing our polynomial realizations, we discover links between $\mathcal{N} \mathcal{O}$ and the Hopf algebra of word quasi-symmetric functions of Hivert, the decorated versions of the Connes-Kreimer Hopf algebra of Foissy, the Faà di Bruno Hopf algebra and its deformations, and the noncommutative multi-symmetric functions Hopf algebras of Novelli and Thibon.
