Quiver presentations and Schur--Weyl duality for Khovanov arc algebras
We provide an ${\rm Ext}$-quiver and relations presentation of the Khovanov arc algebras and prove a precise analogue of the Kleshchev--Martin conjecture in this setting.
Diagrammatics for the smallest quantum coideal and Jones--Wenzl projectors
We describe algebraically, diagrammatically and in terms of weight vectors, the restriction of tensor powers of the standard representation of quantum $\mathfrak{sl}_2$ to a coideal subalgebra. We realise the category as module category over the monoidal category of type $\pm1$ representations in terms of string diagrams and via generators and relations. The idempotents projecting onto the quantized eigenspaces are described as type $B/D$ analogues of Jones--Wenzl projectors. As an application we introduce and give recursive formulas for analogues of $Θ$-networks.

Existence and orthogonality of stable envelopes for bow varieties
Stable envelopes, introduced by Maulik and Okounkov, provide a family of bases for the equivariant cohomology of symplectic resolutions. The theory of stable envelopes provides a fascinating interplay between geometry, combinatorics and integrable systems. In this expository article, we give a self-contained introduction to cohomological stable envelopes of type A bow varieties (an interesting class of varieties extending Nakajima quiver varieties). Our main focus is on the existence and the orthogonality properties of stable envelopes for bow varieties. The restriction to this specific class of varieties allows us to illustrate the theory combinatorially and to provide simplified proofs, both laying a basis for explicit calculations.

Standard Extension Algebras I: Perverse Sheaves and Fukaya Calculus
In this first of a series of articles on standard extension algebras we study standard perverse sheaves on varieties with $\mathbb{G}_m$-actions. Based on Braden's hyperbolic localisation, we describe their extension algebra geometrically via a convolution structure on the intersections of attracting with repelling cells. We introduce a multiplicative structure on open Richardson varieties which provides a practical way to compose these extensions in case of flag varieties. For open Richardson varieties in Grassmannians we construct two explicit cell decompositions, of Gauss- and of Deodhar-type. It is shown that the latter is a stratification with the same combinatorics as Deodhar's decomposition. We introduce a calculus of Fukaya diagrams to encode the geometry of the decompositions. It provides a model for the cohomology of open Richardson varieties and thus for standard extensions. The calculus is motivated by the Mak-Smith Fukaya-Seidel category of a natural Lefschetz fibration and should allow to compute morphism spaces in there. We finally discuss the relation of our work to extensions of (parabolic) Verma modules in category O as well as to the computation of R- and R'-polynomials.
Quiver presentations and isomorphisms of Hecke categories and Khovanov arc algebras
We prove that the extended Khovanov arc algebras are isomorphic to the basic algebras of anti-spherical Hecke categories for maximal parabolics of symmetric groups. We present these algebras by quiver and relations and provide the full submodule lattices of Verma modules.

G(l,k,d)-modules via groupoids
Published in J. Algebraic Combin. 43 (2016), no. 1, 11-32 • View PublicationBIB
In this note we describe a seemingly new approach to the complex representation theory of the wreath product $G\wr S_d$ where $G$ is a finite abelian group. The approach is motivated by an appropriate version of Schur-Weyl duality. We construct a combinatorially defined groupoid in which all endomorphism algebras are direct products of symmetric groups and prove that the groupoid algebra is isomorphic to the group algebra of $G\wr S_d$. This directly implies a classification of simple modules. As an application, we get a Gelfand model for $G\wr S_d$ from the classical involutive Gelfand model for the symmetric group. We describe the Schur-Weyl duality which motivates our approach and relate it to various Schur-Weyl dualities in the literature. Finally, we discuss an extension of these methods to all complex reflection groups of type $G(\ell,k,d)$.

Goldie rank of primitive quotients via lattice point enumeration
Published in Glasg. Math. J. 55 (2013) • View PublicationBIB
Let k be an algebraically closed field of characteristic 0. Musson and vandenBergh classified primitive ideals for rings of torus invariant differential operators. This classification applies in particular to subquotients of localized extended Weyl algebras where it can be made explicit in terms of convex geometry. We recall these result and then turn to the corresponding primitive quotients and study their Goldie ranks. We prove that the primitive quotients fall into finitely many families whose Goldie ranks are given by a common quasi-polynomial and then realize these quasi-polynomials as Ehrhart quasi-polynomials arising from convex geometry.

A graphical description of $(D_n,A_{n-1})$ Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials
Published in GMJ, volume 55, pp. 313-340, 2013 • View PublicationBIB
We give an easy diagrammatical description of the parabolic Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials for the Weyl group $W_n$ of type $D_n$ with parabolic subgroup of type $A_n$ and consequently an explicit counting formula for the dimension of the morphism spaces between indecomposable projective objects in the corresponding category $Ø_0^\p$. As a byproduct we categorify irreducible $W_n$-modules corresponding to pairs of one-line partitions. Finally we indicate the motivation for introducing the combinatorics by connections to Springer theory, the category of perverse sheaves on isotropic Grassmannians and to Brauer algebras which will be treated in \cite{ES}.

Highest weight categories arising from Khovanov's diagram algebra III: category O
Published in Represent. Theory 15 (2011), 170-243 • View PublicationBIB
We prove that integral blocks of parabolic category O associated to the subalgebra gl(m) x gl(n) of gl(m+n) are Morita equivalent to quasi-hereditary covers of generalised Khovanov algebras. Although this result is in principle known, the existing proof is quite indirect, going via perverse sheaves on Grassmannians. Our new approach is completely algebraic, exploiting Schur-Weyl duality for higher levels. As a by-product we get a concrete combinatorial construction of 2-Kac-Moody representations in the sense of Rouquier corresponding to level two weights in finite type A.

Highest weight categories arising from Khovanov's diagram algebra II: Koszulity
Published in Transform. Groups 15 (2010), 1--45 • View PublicationBIB
This is the second of a series of four articles studying various generalisations of Khovanov's diagram algebra. In this article we develop the general theory of Khovanov's diagrammatically defined "projective functors" in our setting. As an application, we give a direct proof of the fact that the quasi-hereditary covers of generalised Khovanov algebras are Koszul.

Highest weight categories arising from Khovanov's diagram algebra I: cellularity
Published in Mosc. Math. J. 11 (2011), 685-722 • View PublicationBIB
This is the first of four articles studying some slight generalisations H(n,m) of Khovanov's diagram algebra, as well as quasi-hereditary covers K(n,m) of these algebras in the sense of Rouquier, and certain infinite dimensional limiting versions. In this article we prove that H(n,m) is a cellular symmetric algebra and that K(n,m) is a cellular quasi-hereditary algebra. In subsequent articles, we relate these algebras to level two blocks of degenerate cyclotomic Hecke algebras, parabolic category O and the general linear supergroup, respectively.
