A MacMahon Analysis View of 4 Diagonal DSPPs
We study skew double-shifted plane partitions with three-element profiles using MacMahon's partition analysis. We present new generating function formulas for these partitions, incorporating an extra bound on the number of non-zero diagonal elements. These objects are closely related to the Göllnitz-Gordon and little Göllnitz identities. Moreover, we investigate some infinite hierarchies of $q$-series identities that stem from our formulas. We also observe certain palindromic properties within these generating functions. Finally, we examine these same objects from the perspective of linear partitions, which leads to interesting new $q$-series identities.
Separable integer partition classes and Slater's list -- II
Slater's list of Rogers-Ramanujan type identities remains a central source of striking series-product formulas in the theory of partitions and basic hypergeometric series. Although many of these identities admit elegant analytic proofs through Bailey pairs, Bailey chains, or transformations of basic hypergeometric series, the partition-theoretic meaning of their series sides is often much less apparent. In this paper, which continues the program initiated in arXiv:2603.14179, we apply Andrews' theory of separable integer partition classes to further identities from Slater's list. We construct a strict overpartition class and two families of overpartitions with positional gap conditions, in which overlining is permitted only at alternating positions. Their multivariate generating functions give natural refinements of the series sides of Slater's identities (12), (28), (29), (47), (48), (50), and (51). We then use Heine-type transformations, a limiting form of Heine's transformations, Watson's $q$-analogue of Whipple's theorem, and classical theta-product identities to obtain alternative series representations and recover the associated products. In addition, we derive a new companion identity to a Slater identity and a signed companion formula. Our results further demonstrate that SIP classes provide a flexible framework for converting basic hypergeometric series into structured partition generating functions, while simultaneously producing refinements, transformations, and new Rogers-Ramanujan type identities.
Weighted partitions with interval restrictions: exact formulas and a bivariate master identity
Let $a_2''(n)$ and $b_2''(n)$ be the signed partition functions introduced by Andrews and El Bachraoui for interval-restricted partitions whose parts greater than $1$ are controlled by the smallest even part and by the number of ones. We prove two conjectures for these functions. The first gives the generating function for $a_2''(n)$ as an elementary rational term plus a false theta series with periodic signs; the second asserts that the companion coefficients $b_2''(n)$ take only the values $-1,0,1,2$. The central structural result introduces an auxiliary variable $z$ recording the number of non-compulsory parts greater than $1$. We obtain closed forms for the two resulting generating functions and prove the master identity $(1+q^2)\mathcal B(z,q)-(1+q)\mathcal A(z,q)=-q^4/(1-q^3)$ using both analytic and combinatorial techniques. At $z=-1$, this identity, together with a Rogers--Fine evaluation, gives the false theta formula for $a_2''(n)$ and an explicit generating function for $b_2''(n)$. The latter formula implies the asserted coefficient range and leads to an exact coefficient description of $b_2''(n)$. We also include a direct Heine--Rogers--Fine proof of the false theta formula, ordinary and fixed-refinement consequences of the master identity, and the resulting quantum modular interpretation.
Separable integer partition classes and Slater's list -- I
Slater's list of Rogers-Ramanujan type identities consists of 130 series-product identities whose analytic proofs rely primarily on Bailey pair techniques. Although these identities play an important role in the theory of $q$-series and partitions, combinatorial interpretations for many of them remain unknown, largely because the series sides are difficult to interpret naturally in terms of partitions. In this paper we apply Andrews' theory of separable integer partition (SIP) classes to several identities from Slater's list. By constructing suitable SIP classes, we obtain natural partition-theoretic interpretations and parameterized generalizations of their series sides. We then apply various $q$-hypergeometric transformations to these generalized series to derive alternative expressions, which in certain cases reduce to infinite products. These results illustrate how the SIP framework provides a systematic approach to understanding Rogers-Ramanujan type identities and offer new combinatorial insights into identities appearing in Slater's list.
SIP classes and four-parameter partition identities
The four-parameter weight of partitions played an important role in the theory of integer partitions, for its connection with various statistics, including the alternating sum and the BG-rank. In 2022, Andrews introduced the SIP classes, by which he reviewed a number of classic partition identities and provided new combinatorial insights. In this work, we extend the SIP classes and provide a unified method to study the four-parameter weight of partitions. By treating partitions with position parity as examples, we provide four-parameter partition identities related to these partition sets. And as corollary, we also present the generating functions that keep track of the BG-rank and the joint distribution of the number of odd parts and the alternating sum, respectively.
Partition analysis and the little Göllnitz identites
This work follows the spirit of Andrews' series of papers on Partition Analysis. In $2011$, Savage and Sills found new sum sides for the little Göllnitz identities and provided their partition interpretations. It turns out that similar companions exist for a mod $8$ partition identity due to Andrews. In this work, we use MacMahon's Partition Analysis to study partitions related to these identities. We find refined generating functions for them, where we keep track of the size of each part. Finally, by considering the alternating sum and Schmidt weight, we show the application of these refined functions in the study of partition statistics.
A MacMahon Analysis View of Cylindric Partitions
We study cylindric partitions with two-element profiles using MacMahon's partition analysis. We find explicit formulas for the generating functions of the number of cylindric partitions by first finding the recurrences using partition analysis and then solving them. We also note some q-series identities related to these objects that show the manifestly positive nature of some alternating series. We generalize the proven identities and conjecture new polynomial refinements of Andrews-Gordon and Bressoud identities, which are companions to Foda-Quano's refinements. Finally, using a variant of the Bailey lemma, we present many new infinite hierarchies of polynomial identities.
Distribution of Alternating Sums of Parts in Partitions
Recently, many authors have investigated how various partition statistics distribute as the size of the partition grows. In this work, we look at a particular statistic arising from the recent rejuvenation of MacMahon's partition analysis. More specifically, we compute all the moments of the alternating sum statistic for partitions. We prove this results using the Circle Method. We also propose a general framework for studying further questions of this type that may avoid some of the complications that arise in traditional approaches to the distributions of partition statistics, and we comment on the utility, comparative ease and opportunities to generalize to very broad settings.
On the combinatorics of r-chain minimal and maximal excludants
The minimal excludant (mex) of a partition was introduced by Grabner and Knopfmacher under the name `least gap' and was revived by a couple of papers due to Andrews and Newman. It has been widely studied in recent years together with the complementary partition statistic maximal excludant (maex), first introduced by Chern. Among such recent works, the first and second authors along with Maji introduced and studied the $r$-chain minimal excludants (r-chain mex) which led to a new generalization of Euler's classical partition theorem and the sum-of-mex identity of Andrews and Newman. In this paper, we first give combinatorial proofs for these two results on r-chain mex. Then we introduce the r-chain maximal excludants (r-chain maex) and establish the associated identity for the sum of r-chain maex over all partitions, both analytically and combinatorially.

Recently, Andrews and Paule studied Schmidt type partitions using MacMahon's Partition Analysis and obtained various interesting results. In this paper, we focus on the combinatorics of Schmidt type partition theorems and characterize them in a general and refined form. In addition, we also present some overpartition analogues of Schmidt type partition theorems.
