Cutoff for the inversion walk on tournaments and the state space of restricted inversions
Given a labelled tournament on $[n]$, \emph{inverting} a vertex subset $X$ means reversing every edge with both endpoints in $X$. Alon, Powierski, Savery, Scott, and Wilmer~\cite{AlonPowierskiSaveryScottWilmer2024} asked for the mixing time of the Markov chain that repeatedly inverts a uniformly random subset of $[n]$. We show that this \emph{inversion walk} undergoes total-variation cutoff at time $n$. More precisely, there is a universal constant $C>0$ such that for all $c\ge 0$, $d_n(n+c)\le C\,2^{-c}$, while for all $s\in\{0,1,\dots,n\}$, $d_n(n-s)\ge 1-2^{\,n+s\logtwo n-\binom{s}{2}}$. In particular, the lower tail threshold lies within $O(\sqrt{n})$ below $n$, while the upper tail decays within $O(1)$ above $n$. As a second result, we characterise the state space of the \emph{$k$-restricted inversion walk}, which inverts a uniformly random $k$-subset at each step. For $n\ge 4$ and $2\le k\le n-2$, the reachable states form a coset of a subgroup $H_k\le\F_2^{\binom{n}{2}}$ whose codimension is determined solely by $k\bmod 4$.

A two-steps tensor eigenvector centrality for nodes and hyperedges in hypergraphs
Hypergraphs have been a powerful tool to represent higher-order interactions, where hyperedges can connect an arbitrary number of nodes. Quantifying the relative importance of nodes and hyperedges in hypergraphs is a fundamental problem in network analysis. In this paper, we propose a new tensor-based centrality measure for general hypergraphs. We use a third-order tensor to represent the relationship between nodes and hyperedges. The tensor's positive Perron vector is defined as the centrality vector of the hypergraph. The existence and uniqueness of this centrality vector are guaranteed by the Perron-Frobenius theorem for tensors. This new centrality measure captures a higher-order mutual reinforcement mechanism: a node's importance is determined by the importance of its incident hyperedges and the other nodes within these hyperedges; symmetrically, a hyperedge's importance is determined by the importance of its constituent nodes and the other hyperedges containing these nodes. We further provide a combinatorial interpretation by proving that the centrality vector represents the limit geometric capacity of two-steps expansion trees. We illustrate the centrality measure on real-world hypergraph datasets.

Algebra of Path Integrals on Digraphs
In this paper, we extend the iterated integrals from smooth manifolds to digraphs and develop the associated algebraic and geometric structures. Iterated integrals on a digraph naturally give rise to the iterated path algebra and the iterated loop algebra, both defined as quotient algebras of a shuffle algebra, with the latter carrying a canonical Hopf algebra structure. We construct a non-degenerate pairing between elementarily equivalent classes of loops on a digraph and the iterated loop algebra. By restricting to iterated integrals that are invariant under $C_\partial$-homotopy, a distinguished subalgebra is obtained which, under this pairing, corresponds to the group algebra of the fundamental group. We further show that this subalgebra is a homotopy invariant and forms a Hopf algebra with involutive antipode.

Overcolored Partition Restricted by Parity of the Parts
Very recently, Thejitha, Sellers, and Fathima defined the function $a_{r,s}(n)$, which enumerates the number of multicolored partitions of $n$, wherein both even parts and odd parts may appear in one of $r$-colors and $s$-colors, respectively, for fixed $r,s\ge 1$. In this paper, we extend the concept to overpartitions.

Quasi-Hermitian Varieties and Their Barlotti--Cofman Representation
Quasi-Hermitian varieties arise as higher-dimensional generalizations of non-classical unitals, including the Buekenhout--Metz (BM) and Buekenhout--Tits (BT) families. After reviewing known constructions and structural properties, we determine explicitly the BC representation of BM and BT quasi-Hermitian varieties in $\mathrm{PG}(3,q^2)$ inside $\mathrm{PG}(6,q)$. We prove that BM varieties correspond to quadratic cones with hyperbolic base, whereas BT varieties give rise to non-quadratic cones, and we describe the associated configuration of spread elements in the section at infinity. These results provide a geometric interpretation of the non-classical nature of BM and BT varieties within the BC framework.

On the expected value of energy in groups
We obtain explicit upper and lower bounds for the expected action energy associated with a pair $({\sf A},{\sf Δ})$ of subsets sampled uniformly at random from a permutation group and its domain, respectively. We then specialize these bounds to multiplicative energy in several settings. In particular, we derive sharp asymptotic formulae for the expected energy of pairs of the form $({\sf A},{\sf A})$ and $({\sf A},{\sf A}^{-1})$. Finally, we apply these estimates to derive probabilistic results on the existence of subsets with large growth and to compare the typical behaviour of the cardinalities of the sets $|{\sf A}^{\ast 2}|$ and $|{\sf A}{\sf A}^{-1}|$.
The permutation automorphism groups of irreducible cyclic codes
The study of permutation automorphism groups of cyclic codes is a central topic in algebraic coding theory. A cyclic code over $\mathbb{F}_q$ is called irreducible if its check polynomial is irreducible over $\mathbb{F}_q$. Such a code is standard if its permutation automorphism group is equal to the group generated by the cyclic shift and the Frobenius automorphism, and non-standard otherwise. In this paper, we give a complete classification of all non-standard non-degenerate irreducible cyclic codes, using the classification of finite simple groups. Our result shows that, apart from a small number of explicit exceptional families and their descendants under certain secondary constructions, every non-degenerate irreducible cyclic code is standard, and up to four explicit exceptions, every degenerate cyclic code is non-standard. This classification has several consequences. First, it yields a general description of non-standard linear recurring sequence subgroups, extending the earlier work of Brison and Nogueira; secondly it establishes the Schmidt-White conjecture for all non-standard irreducible cyclic codes. Moreover, our results provide strong evidence in support of the conjecture of Berger and Charpin that almost all cyclic codes are standard.

The Poincaré polynomial of the type B analogue of $\overline{\mathcal{M}}_{0,n+1}$
We establish formulas for the Poincaré polynomial of the type B analogue of the Deligne--Knudsen--Mumford moduli space of rational curves with $n$ marked points, providing type B counterparts to results by Keel, Manin, Getzler and Yuzvinsky. We establish functional and differential equations satisfied by the bivariate exponential generating function of these polynomials. We show how this generating function relates to the classical one in type A. We deduce the gamma-positivity of these polynomials via a quadratic recursion and discuss a type B analogue of a formula found by Aluffi, Marcolli and Nascimento in type A.

Some properties of minimally nonperfectly divisible graphs
A graph is perfectly divisible if for each of its induced subgraph $H$, $V(H)$ can be partitioned into $A$ and $B$ such that $H[A]$ is perfect and $ω(H[B]) < ω(H)$, and a graph $G$ is perfectly weight divisible if for every positive integral weight function on $V(G)$ and each of its induced subgraph $H$, $V(H)$ can be partitioned into $A$ and $B$ such that $H[A]$ is perfect and the maximum weight of a clique in $H[B]$ is smaller than the maximum weight of a clique in $H$. A clique $X$ of a connected graph $G$ is called a clique cutset if $G-X$ is disconnected. In this paper, we investigate the relationship between the perfect divisibility of a graph and its perfect weighted divisibility. We also show that $2P_3$-free or claw-free minimally nonperfectly divisible graphs contain no clique cutset, that conditionally answers a question of Hoàng [Discrete Math. \textbf{349} (2025) 114809].
Sampling from the antiferromagnetic Ising model on bipartite, regular expander graphs
The antiferromagnetic Ising model samples subsets of vertices of a graph with weight decaying exponentially in the number of edges induced. We study the problem of sampling from this model on the class of bipartite, regular graphs with good vertex expansion. We show that a natural sampler, namely the Glauber dynamics, mixes exponentially slowly in a wide range of parameters. On the other hand, we give an efficient alternative algorithm for sampling from the Ising model and an FPTAS for its partition function, using polymer models and the cluster expansion method.
Horizontal Kakeya maximal operators in finite Heisenberg groups: Exact exponents and applications
We study Kakeya maximal operators associated with horizontal lines in finite Heisenberg groups $\mathbb H_n(\mathbb F_q)$. For the operator parameterized only by projective horizontal directions, we show that projection to $\mathbb F_q^{2n}$ reduces the problem to the affine finite field Kakeya maximal operator, and we determine the exact $\ell^u \to \ell^v$ growth exponent for all $n$ and all $1 \le u,v \le \infty$. We then introduce a refined-direction operator that also records the central slope of a horizontal line. In $\mathbb H_1(\mathbb F_q)$, we prove the sharp $\ell^2 \to \ell^2$ estimate \[ \|M_{\mathbb H_1}^{\mathrm{rd}}F\|_{\ell^2(D_1)} \lesssim q^{1/2}\|F\|_{\ell^2(\mathbb H_1(\mathbb F_q))}, \] deduce the exact mixed-norm exponent formula, and obtain lower bounds for horizontal Heisenberg Kakeya sets with prescribed refined directions. The argument is purely Fourier-analytic and does not use the polynomial method. An outlook toward a new approach to the affine Kakeya problem in $\mathbb{F}_q^3$ will be discussed in this paper.

Degree Sequences vs. Forests in Bipartite Graphs
We prove a conjecture of Shteiner and Shteyner stating that for a bipartite graph $G=(V,E)$, the number of forests in $G$ equals the number of degree sequences arising from its spanning subgraphs. In the process, we provide several equivalent evaluations of the Tutte polynomial $T_G(x,y)$ at $(2,1)$, including interpretations in terms of degree vectors obtained from orientations of $G$.

Pell-Padovan tetranacci numbers and their Hadamard product with classical sequences
A quick way to compute generating functions related to Pell-Padovan tetranacci numbers and classical sequences of recursions of order two is provided. Eight special instances can be computed at once.
Link between bipartite and general unicellular toroidal maps via slit--slide--sew bijections
We relate general maps to bipartite maps through a bijection of type slit-slide-sew. We provide an involution on arbitrary genus maps with even degree faces. This allow a full interpretation of the relation between general and bipartite maps, in the case of genus $1$ maps with a unique face. The main tool is the use of rotations along well-chosen specific loops. Once a noncontractible simple loop is given, one slit along it, slide one notch, and sew back. This mildly modifies the structure of the map along the loop, changing the parity of the length of other loops crossing it. In the case of unicellular toroidal maps, the simple structure of noncontractible loops makes it possible to fully relate general maps to bipartite maps.

Cuboids are canonically Ramsey
We say a set of points $C\subset \mathbb{R}^n$ is canonically Ramsey if there is some set of points $S\subset \mathbb{R}^{n'}$ such that any colouring of $S$, with any number of colours, admits either a monochromatic or rainbow copy of $C$ -- that is to say, some set of points congruent to $C$ either all receive the same colour, or all receive different colours. Mao, Ozeki, and Wang introduced this notion, proving that 30-60-90 triangles are canonically Ramsey, since when various other canonically Ramsey configurations have been identified (by Gehér, Sagdeev, and Tóth, and others). Fang, Ge, Shu, Xu, Xu, and Yang showed that all triangles and rectangles are canonically Ramsey, and asked whether all cuboids are canonically Ramsey. Here cuboids are sets of the form $\{0,b_1\}\times\dots\times\{0,b_s\}$, and in particular may have dimension greater than three. We resolve this question, proving that all cuboids are canonically Ramsey.

Thirty-six quantum officers are entangled
There exist pairs of orthogonal Latin squares of any order n except if n=2 or n=6 [Bose, Shrikhande and Parker, 1960]. In particular, the problem of Euler's thirty-six officers does not have a solution. However, it has a "quantum solution": there exist so-called entangled quantum Latin squares of order six [Rather et al., 2022]. We prove that mutually orthogonal quantum Latin squares of order six do not exist if entanglement is not allowed.

The stable set of associated primes of a complementary edge ideal
We explicitly determine the associated primes of every power of a complementary edge ideal, prove that they satisfy the persistence property, and compute the $\text{v}$-function. In the course of the proofs, we completely describe the homological properties of all powers of squarefree monomial ideals generated in degrees large relative to the number of variables defining them.
Classification of equiangular lines with fixed angle $\arccos(1/(1+2\sqrt2))$
We determine the maximum number $N_α(d)$ of equiangular lines with fixed angle $\arccosα$ for $α= 1/(1+2\sqrt2)$ in $d$-dimensional Euclidean space: $2,3,4,6,8,10,14,15,16,17,18,20,22$ for $d \in \{2,\dots,14\}$, and $\max(24, \lfloor 3(d-1)/2 \rfloor)$ for $d \ge 15$. This appears to be the first complete determination of $N_α(d)$ in all dimensions $d$ for a fixed nontrivial $α$, since the work of Lemmens and Seidel for $α= 1/3$ in 1973.
