Let $H$ be a connected bipartite graph, whose signless Laplacian matrix is $Q(H)$. Suppose that the bipartition of $H$ is $(S,T)$ and that $x$ is the eigenvector of the smallest eigenvalue of $Q(H)$. It is well-known that $x$ is positive and constant on $S$, and negative and constant on $T$.
The resilience of the sign pattern of $x$ under addition of edges into the subgraph induced by either $S$ or $T$ is investigated and a number of cases in which the sign pattern of $x$ persists are described.

Consider a random multigraph with given vertex degrees constructed by the configuration model. We give a new proof of the fact that, asymptotically for a sequence of such multigraphs with the number of edges tending to infinity, the probability that the multigraph is simple stays away from 0 if and only if $\sum d_i^2 = O(\sum d_i)$, where $d_i$ are the vertex degrees. The new proof uses the method of moments, which makes it possible to use it in some applications concerning convergence in distribution. Corresponding results for bipartite graphs are included.

For graphs $G$ and $H$, a homomorphism from $G$ to $H$, or $H$-coloring of $G$, is a map from the vertices of $G$ to the vertices of $H$ that preserves adjacency. When $H$ is composed of an edge with one looped endvertex, an $H$-coloring of $G$ corresponds to an independent set in $G$. Galvin showed that, for sufficiently large $n$, the complete bipartite graph $K_{δ,n-δ}$ is the $n$-vertex graph with minimum degree $δ$ that has the largest number of independent sets.
In this paper, we begin the project of generalizing this result to arbitrary $H$. Writing $\hom(G,H)$ for the number of $H$-colorings of $G$, we show that for fixed $H$ and $δ= 1$ or $δ= 2$, \[ \hom(G,H) \leq \max \{\hom(K_{δ+1},H)^{\frac{n}{δ+1}}, \hom(K_{δ,δ},H)^{\frac{n}{2δ}}, \hom(K_{δ,n-δ},H)\} \] for any $n$-vertex $G$ with minimum degree $δ$ (for sufficiently large $n$). We also provide examples of $H$ for which the maximum is achieved by $\hom(K_{δ+1},H)^{\frac{n}{δ+1}}$ and other $H$ for which the maximum is achieved by $\hom(K_{δ,δ},H)^{\frac{n}{2δ}}$. For $δ\geq 3$ (and sufficiently large $n$), we provide a infinite family of $H$ for which $\hom(G,H) \leq \hom(K_{δ,n-δ},H)$ for any $n$-vertex $G$ with minimum degree $δ$. The results generalize to weighted $H$-colorings.

Let $G$ be a graph and $\mathcal {S}$ be a subset of $Z$. A vertex-coloring $\mathcal {S}$-edge-weighting of $G$ is an assignment of weight $s$ by the elements of $\mathcal {S}$ to each edge of $G$ so that adjacent vertices have different sums of incident edges weights.
It was proved that every 3-connected bipartite graph admits a vertex-coloring $\{1,2\}$-edge-weighting (Lu, Yu and Zhang, (2011) \cite{LYZ}). In this paper, we show that the following result: if a 3-edge-connected bipartite graph $G$ with minimum degree $δ$ contains a vertex $u\in V(G)$ such that $d_G(u)=δ$ and $G-u$ is connected, then $G$ admits a vertex-coloring $\mathcal {S}$-edge-weighting for $\mathcal {S}\in \{\{0,1\},\{1,2\}\}$. In particular, we show that every 2-connected and 3-edge-connected bipartite graph admits a vertex-coloring $\mathcal {S}$-edge-weighting for $\mathcal {S}\in \{\{0,1\},\{1,2\}\}$. The bound is sharp, since there exists a family of infinite bipartite graphs which are 2-connected and do not admit vertex-coloring $\{1,2\}$-edge-weightings or vertex-coloring $\{0,1\}$-edge-weightings.

Let $G$ be a bipartite graph without loops and multiple edges on $v\ge 4$ vertices, which can be drawn on the plane such that any edge intersects at most one other edge. We prove that such graph has at most $3v-8$ edges for even $v\ne 6$ and at most $3v-9$ edges for odd $v$ and $v=6$. For all $v\ge 4$ examples showing that these bounds are tight are constructed.
In the end of paper we discuss a question about drawings of complete bipartite graphs on the plane such that any edge intersects at most one other edge.

We study the solutions of the T-system for type A, also known as the octahedron equation, viewed as a 2+1-dimensional discrete evolution equation. These may be expressed entirely in terms of the stepped surface over which the initial data are specified, via a suitably defined flat $GL_n$ connection which embodies the integrability of this infinite rank system. By interpreting the connection as the transfer operator for a directed graph or network with weighted edges, we show that the solution at a given point is expressed as the partition function for dimers on a bipartite graph dual to the "shadow" of the point onto the initial data stepped surface. We extend the result to the case of other geometries such as that of the evaporation of a cube corner crystal, and to a reformulation of the Kenyon-Pemantle discrete hexahedron equation.

Ricci curvature was proposed by Ollivier in a general framework of metric measure spaces, and it has been studied extensively in the context of graphs in recent years. In this paper we prove upper bounds for Ollivier's Ricci curvature for bipartite graphs and for the graphs with girth at least 5. We also prove a general lower bound on the Ricci curvature in terms of the size of the maximum matching in an appropriate subgraph. As a consequence, we characterize the Ricci-flat graphs of girth 5. Moreover, using our general lower bound and the Birkhoff-von Neumann theorem, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for the structure of Ricci-flat regular graphs of girth 4. Finally, we obtain the asymptotic Ricci curvature of random bipartite graphs $G(n,n, p)$ and random graphs $G(n, p)$, in various regimes of $p$.
Symmetric Graphs and their Quotients
In this expository paper we describe a group theoretic characterization of arc-transitive graphs and their quotients. When passing from a symmetric graph to its quotient, much information is lost, but some of this information may be recovered from a certain combinatorial design on the blocks, as well as a bipartite graph between the blocks. We address the "extention problem" which asks, when is this additional information sufficient to recover the original graph?

A graph is prime (with respect to the split decomposition) if its vertex set does not admit a partition (A,B) (called a split) with |A|, |B| >= 2 such that the set of edges joining A and B induces a complete bipartite graph.
We prove that for each n, there exists N such that every prime graph on at least N vertices contains a vertex-minor isomorphic to either a cycle of length n or a graph consisting of two disjoint cliques of size n joined by a matching.
Hamilton Cycles in Random Lifts of Graphs
For a graph $G$ the random $n$-lift of $G$ is obtained by replacing each of its vertices by a set of $n$ vertices, and joining a pair of sets by a random matching whenever the corresponding vertices of $G$ are adjacent. We show that asymptotically almost surely the random lift of a graph $G$ is hamiltonian, provided $G$ has the minimum degree at least $5$ and contains two disjoint Hamiltonian cycles whose union is not a bipartite graph.
Bipartite graphs are weak antimagic
The \emph{Antimagic Graph Conjecture} asserts that every connected graph $G = (V, E)$ except $K_2$ admits an edge labeling such that each label $1, 2, ..., |E|$ is used exactly once and the sums of the labels on all edges incident with a given node are distinct. We study an associated counting function (replacing the upper bound on the possible labels by a variable) and prove that a variant of this counting function, when we do not require the labels to be distinct, is a polynomial if $G$ is bipartite. As a consequence, we show that every connected bipartite graph $G = (V, E)$ except $K_2$ admits a \emph{weakly} antimagic labeling, that is, each edge label is among $1, 2, ..., |E|$ (repetition allowed) and the sums of the labels on all edges incident with a given node are distinct. We also present a natural extension of these results to directed and bidirected graphs; this extension gives rise to a (bi-)directed version of the Antimagic Graph Conjecture, which might be of independent interest.

Given a finite simple graph one can associate the edge ideal. In this paper we prove that a graded Betti number of the edge ideal does not vanish if the original graph contains a set of complete bipartite subgraphs with some conditions. Also we give a combinatorial description for the projective dimension of the edge ideals of unmixed bipartite graphs.
Notes on the sum of powers of the signless Laplacian eigenvalues of graphs
For a graph $G$ and a non-zero real number $α$, the graph invariant $S_α(G)$ is the sum of the $α^{th}$ power of the non-zero signless Laplacian eigenvalues of $G$. In this paper, we obtain the sharp bounds of $S_α(G)$ for a connected bipartite graph $G$ on $n$ vertices and a connected graph $G$ on $n$ vertices having a connectivity less than or equal to $k$, respectively, and propose some open problems for future research.

Using a $Z_q$-generalization of a theorem of Ky Fan, we extend to Kneser hypergraphs a theorem of Simonyi and Tardos that ensures the existence of multicolored complete bipartite graphs in any proper coloring of a Kneser graph. It allows to derive a lower bound for the local chromatic number of Kneser hypergraphs (using a natural definition of what can be the local chromatic number of a hypergraph).
Skew-spectra and skew energy of various products of graphs
Given a graph $G$, let $G^σ$ be an oriented graph of $G$ with the orientation $σ$ and skew-adjacency matrix $S(G^σ)$. Then the spectrum of $S(G^σ)$ consisting of all the eigenvalues of $S(G^σ)$ is called the skew-spectrum of $G^σ$, denoted by $Sp(G^σ)$. The skew energy of the oriented graph $G^σ$, denoted by $\mathcal{E}_S(G^σ)$, is defined as the sum of the norms of all the eigenvalues of $S(G^σ)$. In this paper, we give orientations of the Kronecker product $H\otimes G$ and the strong product $H\ast G$ of $H$ and $G$ where $H$ is a bipartite graph and $G$ is an arbitrary graph. Then we determine the skew-spectra of the resultant oriented graphs. As applications, we construct new families of oriented graphs with maximum skew energy. Moreover, we consider the skew energy of the orientation of the lexicographic product $H[G]$ of a bipartite graph $H$ and a graph $G$.
Examples of cyclically-interval non-colorable bipartite graphs
For an undirected, simple, finite, connected graph $G$, we denote by $V(G)$ and $E(G)$ the sets of its vertices and edges, respectively. A function $\varphi:E(G)\rightarrow\{1,2,\ldots,t\}$ is called a proper edge $t$-coloring of a graph $G$ if adjacent edges are colored differently and each of $t$ colors is used. An arbitrary nonempty subset of consecutive integers is called an interval. If $\varphi$ is a proper edge $t$-coloring of a graph $G$ and $x\in V(G)$, then $S_G(x,\varphi)$ denotes the set of colors of edges of $G$ which are incident with $x$. A proper edge $t$-coloring $\varphi$ of a graph $G$ is called a cyclically-interval $t$-coloring if for any $x\in V(G)$ at least one of the following two conditions holds: a) $S_G(x,\varphi)$ is an interval, b) $\{1,2,\ldots,t\}\setminus S_G(x,\varphi)$ is an interval. For any $t\in \mathbb{N}$, let $\mathfrak{M}_t$ be the set of graphs for which there exists a cyclically-interval $t$-coloring, and let $$\mathfrak{M}\equiv\bigcup_{t\geq1}\mathfrak{M}_t.$$ Examples of bipartite graphs that do not belong to the class $\mathfrak{M}$ are constructed.

We consider an infinite version of the bipartite Turán problem. Let $G$ be an infinite graph with $V(G) = \mathbb{N}$ and let $G_n$ be the $n$-vertex subgraph of $G$ induced by the vertices $\{1,2, \dots, n \}$. We show that if $G$ is $K_{2,t+1}$-free then for infinitely many $n$, $e(G_n) \leq 0.471 \sqrt{t} n^{3/2}$. Using the $K_{2,t+1}$-free graphs constructed by Füredi, we construct an infinite $K_{2,t+1}$-free graph with $e(G_n) \geq 0.23 \sqrt{t}n^{3/2}$ for all $n \geq n_0$.

In this paper, we explain the regularity, projective dimension and depth of edge ideal of some classes of graphs in terms of invariants of graphs. We show that for a $C_5$-free vertex decomposable graph $G$, $\T{reg}(R/I(G))= c_G$, where $c_G$ is the maximum number of 3-disjoint edges in $G$. Moreover for this class of graphs we characterize $\T{pd}(R/I(G))$ and $\T{depth}(R/I(G))$. As a corollary we describe these invariants in forests and sequentially Cohen-Macaulay bipartite graphs.
Mirror bipartite graphs
Intuitively speaking, a bipartite graph is mirror if it can be drawn in the Cartesian plane in such a way that, the vertices of one stable are points in x=0, the vertices of the other stable set are points in x=1, the edges are straight line segments joining adjacent vertices and the resulting configuration is symmetric with respect to the line x=1/2. The concept of mirror bipartite graph appears naturally when studying certain types of products of graphs as for instance the Kronecker product. Motivated by this fact, we study mirror bipartite graphs from the point of view of their degree sequences and of their degree sets. We characterize the sequences of degrees of mirror bipartite graphs. We also show that from a given set P of positive integers, we can construct a bipartite graph of order 2max P, which is mirror. Furthermore, very little is known for the degree sequences of graphs with loops attached, when the number of loops attached is limited. We show in this paper that mirror bipartite graphs constitute a powerful tool to study the degree sequences of these graphs when the number of loops attached at each vertex is at most $1$.
More on the skew-spectra of bipartite graphs and Cartesian products of graphs
Given a graph $G$, let $G^σ$ be an oriented graph of $G$ with the orientation $σ$ and skew-adjacency matrix $S(G^σ)$. Then the spectrum of $S(G^σ)$ is called the skew-spectrum of $G^σ$, denoted by $Sp_S(G^σ)$. It is known that a graph $G$ is bipartite if and only if there is an orientation $σ$ of $G$ such that $Sp_S(G^σ)=iSp(G)$. In [D. Cui, Y. Hou, On the skew spectra of Cartesian products of graphs, Electron. J. Combin. 20(2013), #P19], Cui and Hou conjectured that such orientation of a bipartite graph is unique under switching-equivalence. In this paper, we prove that the conjecture is true. Moreover, we give an orientation of the Cartesian product of a bipartite graph and a graph, and then determine the skew-spectrum of the resulting oriented product graph, which generalizes Cui and Hou's result, and can be used to construct more oriented graphs with maximum skew energy.
