Symmetry of surfaces for linear fractional group
We will compute the stable upper genus for the family of finite non-abelian simple groups $PSL_2(\mathbb{F}_p)$ for $p \equiv 3~(mod~4)$. This classification is well-grounded in the other branches of Mathematics like topology, smooth, and conformal geometry, algebraic categories.
Ratio of Symmetries Between any two n-Node Graphs
Given any two graphs on the same vertex set, $G_1 = (V, E_1)$ and $G_2 = (V, E_2)$, along with the difference between the two graphs $Δ= (E_1 \setminus E_2) \cup (E_2 \setminus E_1)$, we prove that the ratio of the sizes of the two graphs' automorphism groups is equivalent to the ratio of the sizes of $Δ$'s automorphism orbits in $G_1$ and $G_2$ respectively. This result provides a link between graphs' symmetries that might otherwise seem to be unrelated.

Let $Γ$ be a compact Polish group of finite topological dimension. For a countably infinite subset $S\subseteq Γ$, a domatic $\aleph_0$-partition (for its Schreier graph on $Γ$) is a partial function $f:Γ\rightharpoonup\mathbb{N}$ such that for every $x\in Γ$, one has $f[S\cdot x]=\mathbb{N}$. We show that a continuous domatic $\aleph_0$-partition exists, if and only if a Baire measurable domatic $\aleph_0$-partition exists, if and only if the topological closure of $S$ is uncountable. A Haar measurable domatic $\aleph_0$-partition exists for all choices of $S$. We also investigate domatic partitions in the general descriptive graph combinatorial setting.
Hopf monoids of set families
A \textit{grounded set family} on $I$ is a subset $F\subseteq2^I$ such that $\emptyset\in F$. We study a linearized Hopf monoid \textbf{SF} on grounded set families, with restriction and contraction inspired by the corresponding operations for antimatroids. Many known combinatorial species, including simplicial complexes and matroids, form Hopf submonoids of \textbf{SF}, although not always with the "standard" Hopf structure (for example, our contraction operation is not the usual contraction of matroids). We use the topological methods of Aguiar and Ardila to obtain a cancellation-free antipode formula for the Hopf submonoid of lattices of order ideals of finite posets. Furthermore, we prove that the Hopf algebra of lattices of order ideals of chain gangs extends the Hopf algebra of symmetric functions, and that its character group extends the group of formal power series in one variable with constant term 1 under multiplication.

The perfect quantum strategies of a linear system game correspond to certain representations of its solution group. We study the solution groups of graph incidence games, which are linear system games in which the underlying linear system is the incidence system of a (non-properly) two-coloured graph. While it is undecidable to determine whether a general linear system game has a perfect quantum strategy, for graph incidence games this problem is solved by Arkhipov's theorem, which states that the graph incidence game of a connected graph has a perfect quantum strategy if and only if it either has a perfect classical strategy, or the graph is nonplanar. Arkhipov's criterion can be rephrased as a forbidden minor condition on connected two-coloured graphs. We extend Arkhipov's theorem by showing that, for graph incidence games of connected two-coloured graphs, every quotient closed property of the solution group has a forbidden minor characterization. We rederive Arkhipov's theorem from the group theoretic point of view, and then find the forbidden minors for two new properties: finiteness and abelianness. Our methods are entirely combinatorial, and finding the forbidden minors for other quotient closed properties seems to be an interesting combinatorial problem.

Let $W_{k,n}^{i}(m)$ denote a matrix with rows and columns indexed by the $k$-subsets and $n$-subsets, respectively, of an $m$-element set. The row $S$, column $T$ entry of $W_{k,n}^{i}(m)$ is $1$ if $|S \cap T| = i$, and is $0$ otherwise. We compute the rank of the matrix $W_{2,n}^{1}(m)$ over any field by making use of the representation theory of the symmetric group. We also give a simple condition under which $W_{k,n}^{i}(m)$ has large $p$-rank.
Energy Games over Totally Ordered Groups
Kopczyński (ICALP 2006) conjectured that prefix-independent half-positional winning conditions are closed under finite unions. We refute this conjecture over finite arenas. For that, we introduce a new class of prefix-independent bi-positional winning conditions called energy conditions over totally ordered groups. We give an example of two such conditions whose union is not half-positional. We also conjecture that every prefix-independent bi-positional winning condition coincides with some energy condition over a totally ordered group on periodic sequences.

In card-based cryptography, a deck of physical cards is used to achieve secure computation. A shuffle, which randomly permutes a card-sequence along with some probability distribution, ensures the security of a card-based protocol. The authors proposed a new class of shuffles called graph shuffles, which randomly permutes a card-sequence by an automorphism of a directed graph (New Generation Computing 2022). For a directed graph $G$ with $n$ vertices and $m$ edges, such a shuffle could be implemented with pile-scramble shuffles with $2(n+m)$ cards. In this paper, we study graph shuffles and give an implementation, an application, and a slight generalization of them. First, we propose a new protocol for graph shuffles with $2n+m$ cards. Second, as a new application of graph shuffles, we show that any cyclic group shuffle, which is a shuffle over a cyclic group, is a graph shuffle associated with some graph. Third, we define a hypergraph shuffle, which is a shuffle by an automorphism of a hypergraph, and show that any hypergraph shuffle can also be implemented with pile-scramble shuffles.

In this paper, we characterize chordal and perfect zero-divisor graphs of finite posets. Also, it is proved that the zero-divisor graphs of finite posets and the complement of zero-divisor graphs of finite $0$-distributive posets satisfy the Total Coloring Conjecture. These results are applied to the zero-divisor graphs of finite reduced rings, the comaximal ideal graph of rings, the annihilating ideal graphs, the intersection graphs of ideals of rings, and the intersection graphs of subgroups of cyclic groups. In fact, it is proved that these graphs associated with a commutative ring $R$ with identity can be effectively studied via the zero-divisor graph of a specially constructed poset from $R$.
On the intersection density of the Kneser Graph $K(n,3)$
A set $\mathcal{F} \subset \operatorname{Sym}(V)$ is \textsl{intersecting} if any two of its elements agree on some element of $V$. Given a finite transitive permutation group $G\leq \operatorname{Sym}(V)$, the \textsl{intersection density} $ρ(G)$ is the maximum ratio $\frac{|\mathcal{F}||V|}{|G|}$ where $\mathcal{F}$ runs through all intersecting sets of $G$. The \textsl{intersection density} $ρ(X)$ of a vertex-transitive graph $X = (V,E)$ is equal to $\max \left\{ ρ(G) : G \leq \operatorname{Aut}(X), \mbox{ $G$ transitive} \right\}$. In this paper, we study the intersection density of the Kneser graph $K(n,3)$, for $n\geq 7$.
The intersection density of $K(n,3)$ is determined whenever its automorphism group contains $\operatorname{PSL}_{2}(q)$, with some exceptional cases depending on the congruence of $q$. We also briefly consider the intersection density of $K(n,2)$ for values of $n$ where $\operatorname{PSL}_{2}(q)$ is a subgroup of its automorphism group.

We use Drinfeld style generators and relations to define an algebra $\mathfrak{U}_n$ which is a ``$q=0$'' version of the affine quantum group of $\mathfrak{gl}_n.$ We then use the convolution product on the equivariant $K$-theory of varieties of pairs of partial flags in a $d$-dimensional vector space $V$ to define affine $0$-Schur algebras ${\mathbb S}_0^{\operatorname{aff}}(n,d)$ and to prove that for every $d$ there exists a surjective homomorphism from $\mathfrak{U}_n$ to ${\mathbb S}_0^{\operatorname{aff}}(n,d).$
Bounds for the diameters of orbital graphs of affine groups
General bounds are presented for the diameters of orbital graphs of finite affine primitive permutation groups. For example, it is proved that the orbital diameter of a finite affine primitive permutation group with a nontrivial point stabilizer $ H \leq \mathrm{GL}(V) $, where the vector space $ V $ has dimension $ d $ over the prime field, can be bounded in terms of $ d $ and $ \log |V| / \log |H| $ only. Several infinite families of affine primitive permutation groups with large orbital diameter are constructed. The results are independent from the classification of finite simple groups.
On certain classes of rectangular designs

Rectangular designs are classified as regular, Latin regular, semiregular, Latin semiregular and singular designs. Some series of selfdual as well as alpharesolvable designs are obtained using matrix approaches which belong to the above classes. In every construction we obtain a matrix N whose blocks are square (0,1) matrices such that N becomes the incidence matrix of a rectangular design. The method is the reverse of the well known tactical decomposition of the incidence matrix of a known design. Authors have already obtained some series of Group Divisible and Latin square designs using this method. Tactical decomposable designs are of great interest because of their connections with automorphisms of designs, see Bekar et al. (1982). The rectangular designs constructed here are of statistical as well as combinatorial interest.
Irredundant hyperplane covers
We prove that if $G$ is an abelian group and $H_1x_1,\dots,H_{k}x_k$ is an irredundant (minimal) cover of $G$ with cosets, then $$|G:\bigcap_{i=1}^{k}H_{i}|=2^{O(k)}.$$ This bound is the best possible up to the constant hidden in the $O(\cdot)$ notation, and it resolves conjectures of Pyber (1996) and Szegedy (2007).
We further show that if $G$ is an elementary $p$-group for some large prime $p$, and $H_1,\dots,H_k$ is a sequence of hyperplanes with many repetitions, then the bound above can be improved. As a consequence, we establish a substantial strengthening of the recently solved Alon-Jaeger-Tarsi conjecture: there exists $α>0$ such that for every invertible matrix $M\in\mathbb{F}_p^{n\times n}$ and any set of at most $p^α$ forbidden coordinates, one can find a vector $x\in\mathbb{F}_p^{n}$ such that neither $x$ nor $Mx$ have a forbidden coordinate.
On Weighted Simplicial Homology

We develop a framework for computing the homology of weighted simplicial complexes with coefficients in a discrete valuation ring. A weighted simplicial complex, $(X,v)$, introduced by Dawson [Cah. Topol. Géom. Différ. Catég. 31 (1990), pp. 229--243], is a simplicial complex, $X$, together with an integer-valued function, $v$, assigning weights to simplices, such that the weight of any of faces are monotonously increasing. In addition, weighted homology, $H_n^v(X)$, features a new boundary operator, $\partial_n^v$. In difference to Dawson, our approach is centered at a natural homomorphism $θ$ of weighted chain complexes. The key object is $H^v_{n}(X/θ)$, the weighted homology of a quotient of chain complexes induced by $θ$, appearing in a long exact sequence linking weighted homologies with different weights. We shall construct bases for the kernel and image of the weighted boundary map, identifying $n$-simplices as either $κ_n$- or $μ_n$-vertices. Long exact sequences of weighted homology groups and the bases, allow us to prove a structure theorem for the weighted simplicial homology with coefficients in a ring of formal power series $R=\mathbb{F}[[π]]$, where $\mathbb{F}$ is a field. Relative to simplicial homology new torsion arises and we shall show that the torsion modules are connected to a pairing between distinguished $κ_n$ and $μ_{n+1}$ simplices.
Biembeddings of Archdeacon type: their full automorphism group and their number
Archdeacon, in his seminal paper $[1]$, defined the concept of Heffter array in order to provide explicit constructions of $\mathbb{Z}_{v}$-regular biembeddings of complete graphs $K_v$ into orientable surfaces.
In this paper, we first introduce the quasi-Heffter arrays as a generalization of the concept of Heffer array and we show that, in this context, we can define a $2$-colorable embedding of Archdeacon type of the complete multipartite graph $K_{\frac{v}{t}\times t}$ into an orientable surface. Then, our main goal is to study the full automorphism groups of these embeddings: here we are able to prove, using a probabilistic approach, that, almost always, this group is exactly $\mathbb{Z}_{v}$.
As an application of this result, given a positive integer $t\not\equiv 0\pmod{4}$, we prove that there are, for infinitely many pairs of $v$ and $k$, at least $(1-o(1)) \frac{(\frac{v-t}{2})!}{φ(v)} $ non-isomorphic biembeddings of $K_{\frac{v}{t}\times t}$ whose face lengths are multiples of $k$. Here $φ(\cdot)$ denotes the Euler's totient function. Moreover, in case $t=1$ and $v$ is a prime, almost all these embeddings define faces that are all of the same length $kv$, i.e. we have a more than exponential number of non-isomorphic $kv$-gonal biembeddings of $K_{v}$.
The weak order on the hyperoctahedral group and the monomial basis for the Hopf algebra of signed permutations

We give a combinatorial description for the weak order on the hyperoctahedral group. This characterization is then used to analyze the order-theoretic properties of the shifted products of hyperoctahedral groups. It is shown that each shifted product is a disjoint union of some intervals, which can be convex embedded into a hyperoctahedral group. As an application, we investigate the monomial basis for the Hopf algebra $\mathfrak{H}Sym$ of signed permutations, related to the fundamental basis via Möbius inversion on the weak order on hyperoctahedral groups. It turns out that the image of a monomial basis element under the descent map from $\mathfrak{H}Sym$ to the algebra of type $B$ quasi-symmetric functions is either zero or a monomial quasi-symmetric function of type $B$.
Cayley graphs on non-isomorphic groups
A number of authors have studied the question of when a graph can be represented as a Cayley graph on more than one nonisomorphic group. In this paper we give conditions for when a Cayley graph on an abelian group can be represented as a Cayley graph on a generalized dihedral group, and conditions for when the converse is true.

We investigate extreme values of Mahonian and Eulerian distributions arising from counting inversions and descents of random elements of finite Coxeter groups. To this end, we construct a triangular array of either distribution from a sequence of Coxeter groups with increasing ranks. To avoid degeneracy of extreme values, the number of i.i.d. samples $k_n$ in each row must be asymptotically bounded. We employ large deviations theory to prove the Gumbel attraction of Mahonian and Eulerian distributions. It is shown that for the two classes, different bounds on $k_n$ ensure this.

We characterise the symplectic Weyl group elements such that the FFLV basis is compatible with the PBW filtration on symplectic Demazure modules, extending type A results by the second author. Surprisingly, the number of such elements depends not on the type A or C of the Lie algebra but on the rank only.
