An edge-girth-regular graph $egr(v,k,g,λ)$, is a $k$-regular graph of order $v$, girth $g$ and with the property that each of its edges is contained in exactly $λ$ distinct $g$-cycles. An $egr(v,k,g,λ)$ is called extremal for the triple $(k,g,λ)$ if $v$ is the smallest order of any $egr(v,k,g,λ)$.
In this paper, we introduce two families of edge-girth-regular graphs. The first one is a family of extremal $egr(2q^2,q,6,(q-1)^2(q-2))$ for any prime power $q\geq 3$ and, the second one is a family of $egr(q(q^2+1),q,5,λ)$ for $λ\geq q-1$ and $q\geq 8$ an odd power of $2$. In particular, if $q=8$ we have that $λ=q-1$.

A bar-joint framework $(G,p)$ in a (non-Euclidean) real normed plane $X$ is the combination of a finite, simple graph $G$ and a placement $p$ of the vertices in $X$. A framework $(G,p)$ is globally rigid in $X$ if every other framework $(G,q)$ in $X$ with the same edge lengths as $(G,p)$ arises from an isometry of $X$. The weaker property of local rigidity in normed planes (where only $(G,q)$ within a neighbourhood of $(G,p)$ are considered) has been studied by several researchers over the last 5 years after being introduced by Kitson and Power for $\ell_p$-norms. However global rigidity is an unexplored area for general normed spaces, despite being intensely studied in the Euclidean context by many groups over the last 40 years. In order to understand global rigidity in $X$, we introduce new generalised rigid body motions in normed planes where the norm is determined by an analytic function. This theory allows us to deduce several geometric and combinatorial results concerning the global rigidity of bar-joint frameworks in $X$.
Tilings of the Sphere by Congruent Quadrilaterals with Exactly Two Equal Edges
In this paper we give a classification of tilings of the sphere by congruent quadrilaterals with exactly two equal edges. The tilings are the earth map tilings, $(p,q)$-earth map tilings and their flip modifications, and quadrilateral subdivisions of the cube and the triangular prism. We described the ranges of values of the edges and angles for the tile to be geometrically realisable. The symmetry groups of the tilings are also determined.

The power graph $\mathcal{P}(G)$ of a group $G$ is the simple graph with vertex set $G$ and two vertices are adjacent whenever one of them is a positive power of the other. In this paper, for a finite noncyclic nilpotent group $G$, we study the minimum degree $δ(\mathcal{P}(G))$ of $\mathcal{P}(G)$. Under some conditions involving the prime divisors of $|G|$ and the Sylow subgroups of $G$, we identify certain vertices associated with the generators of maximal cyclic subgroups of $G$ such that $δ(\mathcal{P}(G))$ is equal to the degree of one of these vertices. As an application, we obtain $δ(\mathcal{P}(G))$ for some classes of finite noncyclic abelian groups $G$.

Let $A_1$ and $A_2$ be randomly chosen subsets of the first $n$ integers of cardinalities $s_2\geq s_1 = Ω(s_2)$, such that their sumset $A_1+A_2$ has size $m$. We show that asymptotically almost surely $A_1$ and $A_2$ are almost fully contained in arithmetic progressions $P_1$ and $P_2$ with the same common difference and cardinalities approximately $s_i m/(s_1+s_2)$. We also prove a counting theorem for such pairs of sets in arbitrary abelian groups. The results hold for $s_i = ω(\log^3 n)$ and $s_1+s_2 \leq m = o(s_2/\log^3 n)$. Our main tool is an asymmetric version of the method of hypergraph containers which was recently used by Campos to prove similar results in the special case $A=B$.
On connectivity, domination number and spectral radius of the proper enhanced power graphs of finite nilpotent groups

For a group $G,$ the enhanced power graph of $G$ is a graph with vertex set $G$ in which two distinct elements $x, y$ are adjacent if and only if there exists an element $w$ in $G$ such that both $x$ and $y$ are powers of $w.$ The proper enhanced power graph is the induced subgraph of the enhanced power graph on the set $G \setminus S,$ where $S$ is the set of dominating vertices of the enhanced power graph. In this paper, we first characterize the dominating vertices of enhanced power graph of any finite nilpotent group. Thereafter, we classify all nilpotent groups $G$ such that the proper enhanced power graphs are connected and find out their diameter. We also explicitly find out the domination number of proper enhanced power graphs of finite nilpotent groups. Finally, we determine the multiplicity of the Laplacian spectral radius of the enhanced power graphs of nilpotent groups.

Balogh, Liu, Sharifzadeh and Treglown [Journal of the European Mathematical Society, 2018] recently gave a sharp count on the number of maximal sum-free subsets of $\{1, \dots, n\}$, thereby answering a question of Cameron and Erdős. In contrast, not as much is know about the analogous problem for finite abelian groups. In this paper we give the first sharp results in this direction, determining asymptotically the number of maximal sum-free sets in both the binary and ternary spaces $\mathbb Z^k_2$ and $\mathbb Z^k_3$. We also make progress on a conjecture of Balogh, Liu, Sharifzadeh and Treglown concerning a general lower bound on the number of maximal sum-free sets in abelian groups of a fixed order. Indeed, we verify the conjecture for all finite abelian groups with a cyclic component of size at least 3084. Other related results and open problems are also presented.

We show that the numerators of genus zeta function associated with local hereditary orders studied by Denert can be described in terms of the joint distribution of Euler-Mahonian statistics on multiset permutations defined by Han. We use this result to deduce a reciprocity property for genus zeta functions of local hereditary orders whose associated composition is a rectangle. We also record a remarkable identity satisfied by genus zeta functions of local hereditary orders in terms of Hadamard products of genus zeta functions of maximal orders. Finally, we define Mahonian companions of excedance statistics on groups of signed and even-signed permutations.

In this paper, we construct new families of flag-transitive linear spaces with $q^{2n}$ points and $q^{2}$ points on each line that admit a one-dimensional affine automorphism group. We achieve this by building a natural connection with permutation polynomials of $\mathbb{F}_{q^{2}}$ of a particular form and following the scheme of Pauley and Bamberg in [A construction of one-dimensional affine flag-transitive linear spaces, Finite Fields Appl. 14 (2008) 537-548].
On maximum intersecting sets in direct and wreath product of groups
For a permutation group $G$ acting on a set $V$, a subset $I$ of $G$ is said to be an intersecting set if for every pair of elements $g,h\in I$ there exists $v \in V$ such that $g(v) = h(v)$. The intersection density $ρ(G)$ of a transitive permutation group $G$ is the maximum value of the quotient $|I|/|G_v|$ where $G_v$ is a stabilizer of a point $v\in V$ and $I$ runs over all intersecting sets in $G$. If $G_v$ is the largest intersecting set in $G$ then $G$ is said to have the Erdős-Ko-Rado (EKR)-property, and moreover, $G$ has the strict-EKR-property if every intersecting set of maximum size in $G$ is a coset of a point stabilizer. Intersecting sets in $G$ coincide with independent sets in the so-called derangement graph $Γ_G$, defined as the Cayley graph on $G$ with connection set consisting of all derangements, that is, fixed-point free elements of $G$. In this paper a conjecture regarding the existence of transitive permutation groups whose derangement graphs are complete multipartite graphs, posed by Meagher, Razafimahatratra and Spiga in [J.Combin. Theory Ser. A 180 (2021), 105390], is proved. The proof uses direct product of groups. Questions regarding maximum intersecting sets in direct and wreath products of groups and the (strict)-EKR-property of these group products are also investigated. In addition, some errors appearing in the literature on this topic are corrected.
The covering radius of permutation designs
A notion of $t$-designs in the symmetric group on $n$ letters was introduced by Godsil in 1988. In particular $t$-transitive sets of permutations form a $t$-design. We derive upper bounds on the covering radius of these designs, as a function of $n$ and $t$ and in terms of the largest zeros of Charlier polynomials.

We prove that the random flag complex has a probability regime where the probability of nonvanishing homology is asymptotically bounded away from zero and away from one. Related to this main result we also establish new bounds on a sharp threshold for the fundamental group of a random flag complex to be a free group. In doing so we show that there is an intermediate probability regime in which the random flag complex has fundamental group which is neither free nor has Kazhdan's property (T).
A family of tetravalent one-regular graphs
A graph is one-regular if its automorphism group acts regularly on the set of its arcs. In this paper, $4$-valent one-regular graphs of order $5p^2$, where $p$ is a prime, are classified
Mutations of reflections and existence of pseudo-acyclic orderings for type $A_n$
In a recent paper by K.-H. Lee, K. Lee and M. Mills, a mutation of reflections in the universal Coxeter group is defined in association with a mutation of a quiver. A matrix representation of these reflections is determined by a linear ordering on the set of vertices of the quiver. It was conjectured that there exists an ordering (called a pseudo-acyclic ordering in this paper) such that whenever two mutation sequences of a quiver lead to the same labeled seed, the representations of the associated reflections also coincide. In this paper, we prove this conjecture for every quiver mutation-equivalent to an orientation of a type $A_n$ Dynkin diagram by decomposing a mutation sequence into a product of elementary swaps and checking relations studied by Barot and Marsh.
The Jacobian of Cyclic Voltage Covers of $K_n$
This paper proves results about the Jacobians of a certain family of covering graphs, $Y$, of a base graph $X$, that is constructed from an assignment of elements from a group $G$ to the edges of $X$ ($G$ is called the voltage group and $Y$ is called the derived graph). Of particular interest is when the voltage assignment is given by mapping a generator of the cyclic group of order $d$ to a single edge of $X$ (all other edges are assigned the identity), called a single voltage assignment. Both the order and abelian group structure of the Jacobian of single voltage assignment derived graphs are determined when the base graph $X$ is the complete graph on $n$ vertices, for every $n$ and $d$. Using zeta-functions, general product formulas that relate the order of the Jacobian of $Y$ to that of $X$ are developed; these formulas become very simple and explicit in the special case of single voltage covers of $X$.
Factoring the Dedekind-Frobenius determinant of a semigroup

The representation theory of finite groups began with Frobenius's factorization of Dedekind's group determinant. In this paper, we consider the case of the semigroup determinant. The semigroup determinant is nonzero if and only if the complex semigroup algebra is Frobenius, and so our results include applications to the study of Frobenius semigroup algebras. We explicitly factor the semigroup determinant for commutative semigroups and inverse semigroups. We recover the Wilf-Lindström factorization of the semigroup determinant of a meet semilattice and Wood's factorization for a finite commutative chain ring. The former was motivated by combinatorics and the latter by coding theory over finite rings. We prove that the algebra of the multiplicative semigroup of a finite Frobenius ring is Frobenius over any field whose characteristic doesn't divide that of the ring. As a consequence we obtain an easier proof of Kovács's theorem that the algebra of the monoid of matrices over a finite field is a direct product of matrix algebras over group algebras of general linear groups (outside of the characteristic of the finite field).
Special cases and equivalent forms of Katznelson's problem on recurrence

We make three observations regarding a question popularized by Katznelson: is every subset of $\mathbb Z$ which is a set of Bohr recurrence is also a set of topological recurrence?
(i) If $G$ is a countable abelian group and $E\subset G$ is an $I_0$ set, then every subset of $E-E$ which is a set of Bohr recurrence is also a set of topological recurrence. In particular every subset of $\{2^n-2^m : n,m\in \mathbb N\}$ which is a set of Bohr recurrence is a set of topological recurrence.
(ii) Let $\mathbb Z^ω$ be the direct sum of countably many copies of $\mathbb Z$ with standard basis $E$. If every subset of $(E-E)-(E-E)$ which is a set of Bohr recurrence is also a set of topological recurrence, then every subset of every countable abelian group which is a set of Bohr recurrence is also a set of topological recurrence.
(iii) Fix a prime $p$ and let $\mathbb F_p^ω$ be the direct sum of countably many copies of $\mathbb Z/p\mathbb Z$ with basis $(\mathbf e_i)_{i\in \mathbb N}$. If for every $p$-uniform hypergraph with vertex set $\mathbb N$ and edge set $\mathcal F$ having infinite chromatic number, the Cayley graph on $\mathbb F_p^ω$ determined by $\{\sum_{i\in F}\mathbf e_i:F\in \mathcal F\}$ has infinite chromatic number, then every subset of $\mathbb F_p^ω$ which is a set of Bohr recurrence is a set of topological recurrence.
The combinatorics of weight systems and characteristic polynomials of isolated quasihomogeneous singularities

A paper of the first author and Zilke proposed seven combinatorial problems around formulas for the characteristic polynomial and the exponents of an isolated quasihomogeneous singularity. The most important of them was a conjecture on the characteristic polynomial. Here the conjecture is proved, and some of the other problems are solved, too. In the cases where also an old conjecture of Orlik on the integral monodromy holds, this has implications on the automorphism group of the Milnor lattice. The combinatorics used in the proof of the conjecture consists of tuples of orders on sets $\{0,1,...,n\}$ with special properties and may be of independent interest.

If $A$ is a set of integers having positive upper Banach density and $r,s,t$ are nonzero integers whose sum is zero, a theorem of Bergelson and Ruzsa says that the set $rA+sA+tA:=\{ra_1+sa_2+ta_3:a_i\in A\}$ contains a Bohr neighborhood of zero. We prove the natural generalization of this result for subsets of countable abelian groups and more summands.
