Graphical designs are an extension of spherical designs to functions on graphs. We connect linear codes to graphical designs on cube graphs, and show that the Hamming code in particular is a highly effective graphical design. We show that even in highly structured graphs, graphical designs are distinct from the related concepts of extremal designs, maximum stable sets in distance graphs, and $t$-designs on association schemes.

Let L be a Desarguesian 2-spread in the Grassmann graph $J_q(n,2)$. We prove that the collection of the 4-subspaces, which do not contain subspaces from L is a completely regular code in $J_q(n,4)$. Similarly, we construct a completely regular code in the Johnson graph $J(n,6)$ from the Steiner quadruple system of the extended Hamming code. We obtain several new completely regular codes covering radius 1 in the Grassmann graph $J_2(6,3)$ using binary linear programming.
Cyclic Sieving for Cyclic Codes

Prompted by a question of Jim Propp, this paper examines the cyclic sieving phenomenon (CSP) in certain cyclic codes. For example, it is shown that, among dual Hamming codes over $F_q$, the generating function for codedwords according to the major index statistic (resp. the inversion statistic) gives rise to a CSP when $q=2$ or $q=3$ (resp. when $q=2$). A byproduct is a curious characterization of the irreducible polynomials in $F_2[x]$ and $F_3[x]$ that are primitive.
Spanning Trees and Domination in Hypercubes
Let $L(G)$ denote the maximum number of leaves in any spanning tree of a connected graph $G$. We show the (known) result that for the $n$-cube $Q_n$, $L(Q_n) \sim 2^n = |V(Q_n)|$ as $n\rightarrow \infty$. Examining this more carefully, consider the minimum size of a connected dominating set of vertices $γ_c(Q_n)$, which is $2^n-L(Q_n)$ for $n\ge2$. We show that $γ_c(Q_n)\sim 2^n/n$. We use Hamming codes and an "expansion" method to construct leafy spanning trees in $Q_n$.
On transitive uniform partitions of F^n into binary Hamming codes
We investigate transitive uniform partitions of the vector space $F^n$ of dimension $n$ over the Galois field $GF(2)$ into cosets of Hamming codes. A partition $P^n= \{H_0,H_1+e_1,\ldots,H_n+e_n\}$ of $F^n$ into cosets of Hamming codes $H_0,H_1,\ldots,H_n$ of length $n$ is said to be uniform if the intersection of any two codes $H_i$ and $H_j$, $i,j\in \{0,1,\ldots,n \}$ is constant, here $e_i$ is a binary vector in $F^n$ of weight $1$ with one in the $i$th coordinate position.
For any $n=2^m-1$, $m>4$ we found a class of nonequivalent $2$-transitive uniform partitions of $F^n$ into cosets of Hamming codes.
On completely regular and completely transitive codes derived from Hamming codes
Given a parity-check matrix $H_m$ of a $q$-ary Hamming code, we consider a partition of the columns into two subsets. Then, we consider the two codes that have these submatrices as parity-check matrices. We say that anyone of these two codes is the supplementary code of the other one.
We obtain that if one of these codes is a Hamming code, then the supplementary code is completely regular and completely transitive. If one of the codes is completely regular with covering radius $2$, then the supplementary code is also completely regular with covering radius at most $2$. Moreover, in this case, either both codes are completely transitive, or both are not.
With this technique, we obtain infinite families of completely regular and completely transitive codes which are quasi-perfect uniformly packed.
A note on regular subgroups of the automorphism group of the linear Hadamard code

We consider the regular subgroups of the automorphism group of the linear Hadamard code. These subgroups correspond to the regular subgroups of $GA(r,2)$, w.t.r action on the vectors of $F_2^{r}$, where $n=2^r-1 $ is the length of the Hamadard code. We show that the dihedral group $D_{2^{r-1}}$ is a regular subgroup of $GA(r,2)$ only when $r=3$. Following the approach of \cite{M} we study the regular subgroups of the Hamming code obtained from the regular subgroups of the automorphism group of the Hadamard code of length 15.

An Any graph obtained by deleting a Hamming code of length n from a n-cube Qn is called as a Hamming shell. It is well known that a Hamming shell is vertex-transitive, edge-transitive, distance preserving. Moreover, it is Hamiltonian and connected. In this paper, we prove that a Hamming shell is edge-bipancyclic and (n-1)-connected.

We construct new families of completely regular codes by concatenation methods. By combining parity check matrices of cyclic Hamming codes, we obtain families of completely regular codes. In all cases, we compute the intersection array of these codes. We also study when the extension of these codes gives completely regular codes. Some of these new codes are completely transitive.
The weighted poset metrics and directed graph metrics
Etzion et al. introduced metrics on $\mathbb{F}_2^n$ based on directed graphs on $n$ vertices and developed some basic coding theory on directed graph metric spaces. In this paper, we consider the problem of classifying directed graphs which admit the extended Hamming codes to be a perfect code. We first consider weighted poset metrics as a natural generalization of poset metrics and investigate interrelation between weighted poset metrics and directed graph based metrics. In the next, we classify weighted posets on a set with eight elements and directed graphs on eight vertices which admit the extended Hamming code $\widetilde{\mathcal{H}}_3$ to be a $2$-perfect code. We also construct some families of such structures for any $k \geq 3$. Those families enable us to construct packing or covering codes of radius 2 under certain maps.
On the extention of propelinear structures of Nordstrom-Robinson code to Hamming code
A code is called propelinear if its automorphism group contains a subgroup that acts regularly on its codewords, which is called a propelinear structure on the code. In the paper a classification of the propelinear structures on the Nordstrom-Robinson code is obtained and the question of extension of these structures to propelinear structures of the Hamming code, that contains the Nordstrom-Robinson code. The result partially relies on a representation of all partitions of the Hamming code into codes with parameters of Nordstrom-Robinson code via Fano planes which is given in the paper.

Studying binary perfect codes we show the existence of homogeneous nontransitive codes. Thus, as far as perfect codes are concerned, the propelinear codes are strictly contained in transitive codes, wheresas homogeneous codes form a strict subclass of transitive codes. In the work we deduce a necessary and sufficient condition for transitivity of perfect binary codes of rank one more than that of Hamming code. The paper is in Russian.
On the Classification of MDS Codes

A $q$-ary code of length $n$, size $M$, and minimum distance $d$ is called an $(n,M,d)_q$ code. An $(n,q^{k},n-k+1)_q$ code is called a maximum distance separable (MDS) code. In this work, some MDS codes over small alphabets are classified. It is shown that every $(k+d-1,q^k,d)_q$ code with $k\geq 3$, $d \geq 3$, $q \in \{5,7\}$ is equivalent to a linear code with the same parameters. This implies that the $(6,5^4,3)_5$ code and the $(n,7^{n-2},3)_7$ MDS codes for $n\in\{6,7,8\}$ are unique. The classification of one-error-correcting $8$-ary MDS codes is also finished; there are $14$, $8$, $4$, and $4$ equivalence classes of $(n,8^{n-2},3)_8$ codes for $n=6,7,8,9$, respectively. One of the equivalence classes of perfect $(9,8^7,3)_8$ codes corresponds to the Hamming code and the other three are nonlinear codes for which there exists no previously known construction.
Characterisation of a family of neighbour transitive codes
We consider codes of length $m$ over an alphabet of size $q$ as subsets of the vertex set of the Hamming graph $Γ=H(m,q)$. A code for which there exists an automorphism group $X\leq Aut(Γ)$ that acts transitively on the code and on its set of neighbours is said to be neighbour transitive, and were introduced by the authors as a group theoretic analogue to the assumption that single errors are equally likely over a noisy channel. Examples of neighbour transitive codes include the Hamming codes, various Golay codes, certain Hadamard codes, the Nordstrom Robinson codes, certain permutation codes and frequency permutation arrays, which have connections with powerline communication, and also completely transitive codes, a subfamily of completely regular codes, which themselves have attracted a lot of interest. It is known that for any neighbour transitive code with minimum distance at least 3 there exists a subgroup of $X$ that has a $2$-transitive action on the alphabet over which the code is defined. Therefore, by Burnside's theorem, this action is of almost simple or affine type. If the action is of almost simple type, we say the code is alphabet almost simple neighbour transitive. In this paper we characterise a family of neighbour transitive codes, in particular, the alphabet almost simple neighbour transitive codes with minimum distance at least $3$, and for which the group $X$ has a non-trivial intersection with the base group of $Aut(Γ)$. If $C$ is such a code, we show that, up to equivalence, there exists a subcode $Δ$ that can be completely described, and that either $C=Δ$, or $Δ$ is a neighbour transitive frequency permutation array and $C$ is the disjoint union of $X$-translates of $Δ$.
We also prove that any finite group can be identified in a natural way with a neighbour transitive code.

In this paper infinite families of linear binary nested completely regular codes are constructed. They have covering radius $ρ$ equal to $3$ or $4$, and are $1/2^i$-th parts, for $i\in\{1,\ldots,u\}$ of binary (respectively, extended binary) Hamming codes of length $n=2^m-1$ (respectively, $2^m$), where $m=2u$. In the usual way, i.e., as coset graphs, infinite families of embedded distance-regular coset graphs of diameter $D$ equal to $3$ or $4$ are constructed. In some cases, the constructed codes are also completely transitive codes and the corresponding coset graphs are distance-transitive.

In this paper new infinite families of linear binary completely transitive codes are presented. They have covering radius $ρ= 3$ and 4, and are a half part of the binary Hamming and the binary extended Hamming code of length $n=2^m-1$ and $2^m$, respectively, where $m$ is even. From these new completely transitive codes, in the usual way, i.e., as coset graphs, new presentations of infinite families of distance transitive coset graphs of diameter three and four, respectively, are constructed.

The paper proves that there exist an exponential number of nonequivalent propelinear extended perfect binary codes of length growing to infinity. Specifically, it is proved that all transitive extended perfect binary codes found by Potapov are propelinear. All such codes have small rank, which is one more than the rank of the extended Hamming code of the same length. We investigate the properties of these codes and show that any of them has a normalized propelinear representation.

By using the Gold map, we construct a partition of the hypercube into cosets of Hamming codes such that for every two cosets the corresponding Hamming codes are maximally nonparallel, that is, their intersection cardinality is as small as possible to admit nonintersecting cosets.

We study properties of binary codes with parameters close to the parameters of 1-perfect codes. An arbitrary binary $(n=2^m-3, 2^{n-m-1}, 4)$ code $C$, i.e., a code with parameters of a triply-shortened extended Hamming code, is a cell of an equitable partition of the $n$-cube into six cells. An arbitrary binary $(n=2^m-4, 2^{n-m}, 3)$ code $D$, i.e., a code with parameters of a triply-shortened Hamming code, is a cell of an equitable family (but not a partition) from six cells. As a corollary, the codes $C$ and $D$ are completely semiregular; i.e., the weight distribution of such a code depends only on the minimal and maximal codeword weights and the code parameters. Moreover, if $D$ is self-complementary, then it is completely regular. As an intermediate result, we prove, in terms of distance distributions, a general criterion for a partition of the vertices of a graph (from rather general class of graphs, including the distance-regular graphs) to be equitable. Orbits of graphs under local complementation (LC) and edge local complementation (ELC) have been studied in several different contexts. For instance, there are connections between orbits of graphs and error-correcting codes. We define a new graph class, ELC-preserved graphs, comprising all graphs that have an ELC orbit of size one. Through an exhaustive search, we find all ELC-preserved graphs of order up to 12 and all ELC-preserved bipartite graphs of order up to 16. We provide general recursive constructions for infinite families of ELC-preserved graphs, and show that all known ELC-preserved graphs arise from these constructions or can be obtained from Hamming codes. We also prove that certain pairs of ELC-preserved graphs are LC equivalent. We define ELC-preserved codes as binary linear codes corresponding to bipartite ELC-preserved graphs, and study the parameters of such codes.
