Periodic ASEP and random walks on affine Hecke Algebra
We study the large time behavior of a periodic ASEP with fixed period started from the step initial condition. We establish the limit shape theorem and the asymptotic distribution of a single second class particle. Our single-species results extend the previous results of Lam and Ayyer-Linusson about periodic TASEP to the ASEP case. These results can also be interpreted as describing the limit behavior of a random walk on affine Hecke algebra.
Domino Tilings of the Aztec Diamond in Random Environment and Schur Generating Functions
We study the asymptotic behavior of random domino tilings of the Aztec diamond of size $M$ in a random environment, where the environment is a one-periodic sequence of i.i.d. random weights attached to domino positions (i.e., to the edges of the underlying portion of the square grid). We consider two cases: either the variance of the weights decreases at a critical scale $1/M$, or the distribution of the weights is fixed. In the former case, the unrescaled fluctuations of the domino height function are governed by the sum of a Gaussian Free Field and an independent Brownian motion. In the latter case, we establish fluctuations on the much larger scale $\sqrt M$, given by the Brownian motion alone.
To access asymptotic fluctuations in random environment, we employ the method of Schur generating functions. Moreover, we substantially extend the known Law of Large Numbers and Central Limit Theorems for particle systems via Schur generating functions in order to apply them to our setting. These results might be of independent interest.
Local central limit theorem for Mallows measure
We study the statistics of the Mallows measure on permutations in the limit pioneered by Starr (2009). Our main result is the local central limit theorem for its height function. We also re-derive versions of the law of large numbers and the large deviation principle, obtain the standard central limit theorem from the local one, and establish a multi-point version of the local central limit theorem.

Q-exchangeable ergodic distributions on the infinite symmetric group were classified by Gnedin-Olshanski (2012). In this paper, we study a specific linear combination of the ergodic measures and call it the Mallows product measure. From a particle system perspective, the Mallows product measure is a reversible stationary blocking measure of the infinite-species ASEP and it is a natural multi-species extension of the Bernoulli product blocking measures of the one-species ASEP. Moreover, the Mallows product measure can be viewed as the universal product blocking measure of interacting particle systems coming from random walks on Hecke algebras.
For the random infinite permutation distributed according to the Mallows product measure we have computed the joint distribution of its neighboring displacements, as well as several other observables. The key feature of the obtained formulas is their remarkably simple product structure. We project these formulas to ASEP with finitely many species, which in particular recovers a recent result of Adams-Balazs-Jay, and also to ASEP(q,M).
Our main tools are results of Gnedin-Olshanski about ergodic Mallows measures and shift-invariance symmetries of the stochastic colored six vertex model discovered by Borodin-Gorin-Wheeler and Galashin.

We study the stochastic colored six vertex (SC6V) model and its fusion. Our main result is an integral expression for natural observables of this model -- joint q-moments of height functions. This generalises a recent result of Borodin-Wheeler. The key technical ingredient is a new relation of height functions of SC6V model in neighboring points. This relation is of independent interest; we refer to it as a local relation. As applications, we give a new proof of certain symmetries of height functions of SC6V model recently established by Borodin-Gorin-Wheeler and Galashin, and new formulas for joint moments of delayed partition functions of Beta polymer.
Absorbing time asymptotics in the oriented swap process

The oriented swap process is a natural directed random walk on the symmetric group that can be interpreted as a multi-species version of the Totally Asymmetric Simple Exclusion Process (TASEP) on a finite interval. An open problem from a 2008 paper of Angel, Holroyd, and Romik asks for the limiting distribution of the absorbing time of the process. We resolve this question by proving that this random variable satisfies GOE Tracy-Widom asymptotics. Our starting point is a distributional identity relating the behavior of the oriented swap process to last passage percolation, conjectured in a recent paper of Bisi, Cunden, Gibbons, and Romik. The main technical tool is a shift-invariance principle for multi-species TASEPs, obtained by exploiting recent results of Borodin, Gorin, and Wheeler for the stochastic colored six-vertex model.
Yang-Baxter random fields and stochastic vertex models
Bijectivization refines the Yang-Baxter equation into a pair of local Markov moves which randomly update the configuration of the vertex model. Employing this approach, we introduce new Yang-Baxter random fields of Young diagrams based on spin $q$-Whittaker and spin Hall-Littlewood symmetric functions. We match certain scalar Markovian marginals of these fields with (1) the stochastic six vertex model; (2) the stochastic higher spin six vertex model; and (3) a new vertex model with pushing which generalizes the $q$-Hahn PushTASEP introduced recently by Corwin-Matveev-Petrov (arXiv:1811.06475). Our matchings include models with two-sided stationary initial data, and we obtain Fredholm determinantal expressions for the $q$-Laplace transforms of the height functions of all these models. Moreover, we also discover difference operators acting diagonally on spin $q$-Whittaker or (stable) spin Hall-Littlewood symmetric functions.
Color-position symmetry in interacting particle systems
We prove a color-position symmetry for a class of ASEP-like interacting particle systems with discrete time on the one-dimensional lattice. The full space-time inhomogeneity of our systems allows to apply the result to colored (or multi-species) ASEP and stochastic vertex models for a certain class of initial/boundary conditions, generalizing previous results of Amir-Angel-Valko and Borodin-Wheeler. We are also able to use the symmetry, together with previously known results for uncolored models, to find novel asymptotic behavior of the second class particles in several situations.

Employing bijectivisation of summation identities, we introduce local stochastic moves based on the Yang-Baxter equation for $U_q(\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}_2})$. Combining these moves leads to a new object which we call the spin Hall-Littlewood Yang-Baxter field - a probability distribution on two-dimensional arrays of particle configurations on the discrete line. We identify joint distributions along down-right paths in the Yang-Baxter field with spin Hall-Littlewood processes, a generalization of Schur processes. We consider various degenerations of the Yang-Baxter field leading to new dynamic versions of the stochastic six vertex model and of the Asymmetric Simple Exclusion Process.

We introduce a randomized Hall-Littlewood RSK algorithm and study its combinatorial and probabilistic properties. On the probabilistic side, a new model --- the Hall-Littlewood RSK field --- is introduced. Its various degenerations contain known objects (the stochastic six vertex model, the asymmetric simple exclusion process) as well as a variety of new ones. We provide formulas for a rich class of observables of these models, extending existing results about Macdonald processes. On the combinatorial side, we establish analogs of properties of the classical RSK algorithm: invertibility, symmetry, and a "bijectivization" of the skew-Cauchy identity.
Between the stochastic six vertex model and Hall-Littlewood processes
We prove that the joint distribution of the values of the height function for the stochastic six vertex model in a quadrant along a down-right path coincides with that for the lengths of the first columns of partitions distributed according to certain Hall-Littlewood processes. In the limit when one of the quadrant axes becomes continuous, we also show that the two-dimensional random field of the height function values has the same distribution as the lengths of the first columns of partitions from certain ascending Hall-Littlewood processes evolving under a Robinson-Schensted-Knuth type Markovian evolution.

We consider asymtotics of a domino tiling model on a class of domains which we call rectangular Aztec diamonds. We prove the Law of Large Numbers for the corresponding height functions and provide explicit formulas for the limit. For a special class of examples, the explicit parametrization of the frozen boundary is given. It turns out to be an algebraic curve with very special properties. Moreover, we establish the convergence of the fluctuations to the Gaussian Free Field in appropriate coordinates. Our main tool is a recently developed moment method for discrete particle systems.

We develop a new toolbox for the analysis of the global behavior of stochastic discrete particle systems. We introduce and study the notion of the Schur generating function of a random discrete configuration. Our main result provides a Central Limit Theorem (CLT) for such a configuration given certain conditions on the Schur generating function. As applications of this approach, we prove CLT's for several probabilistic models coming from asymptotic representation theory and statistical physics, including random lozenge and domino tilings, non-intersecting random walks, decompositions of tensor products of representations of unitary groups.

We show that the order on probability measures, inherited from the dominance order on the Young diagrams, is preserved under natural maps reducing the number of boxes in a diagram by $1$. As a corollary we give a new proof of the Thoma theorem on the structure of characters of the infinite symmetric group.
We present several conjectures generalizing our result. One of them (if it is true) would imply the Kerov's conjecture on the classification of all homomorphisms from the algebra of symmetric functions into $\mathbb R$ which are non-negative on Hall--Littlewood polynomials.
Law of Large Numbers for Infinite Random Matrices over a Finite Field

Asymptotic representation theory of general linear groups GL(n,q) over a finite field leads to studying probability measures ρon the group U of all infinite uni-uppertriangular matrices over F_q, with the condition that ρis invariant under conjugations by arbitrary infinite matrices. Such probability measures form an infinite-dimensional simplex, and the description of its extreme points (in other words, ergodic measures ρ) was conjectured by Kerov in connection with nonnegative specializations of Hall-Littlewood symmetric functions.
Vershik and Kerov also conjectured the following Law of Large Numbers. Consider an n by n diagonal submatrix of the infinite random matrix drawn from an ergodic measure coming from the Kerov's conjectural classification. The sizes of Jordan blocks of the submatrix can be interpreted as a (random) partition of n, or, equivalently, as a (random) Young diagram λ(n) with n boxes. Then, as n goes to infinity, the rows and columns of λ(n) have almost sure limiting frequencies corresponding to parameters of this ergodic measure.
Our main result is the proof of this Law of Large Numbers. We achieve it by analyzing a new randomized Robinson-Schensted-Knuth (RSK) insertion algorithm which samples random Young diagrams λ(n) coming from ergodic measures. The probability weights of these Young diagrams are expressed in terms of Hall-Littlewood symmetric functions. Our insertion algorithm is a modified and extended version of a recent construction by Borodin and the second author (arXiv:1305.5501). On the other hand, our randomized RSK insertion generalizes a version of the RSK insertion introduced by Vershik and Kerov (1986) in connection with asymptotic representation theory of symmetric groups (which is governed by nonnegative specializations of Schur symmetric functions).
Representations of classical Lie groups and quantized free convolution

We study the decompositions into irreducible components of tensor products and restrictions of irreducible representations of classical Lie groups as the rank of the group goes to infinity. We prove the Law of Large Numbers for the random counting measures describing the decomposition. This leads to two operations on measures which are deformations of the notions of the free convolution and the free projection. We further prove that if one replaces counting measures with others coming from the work of Perelomov and Popov on the higher order Casimir operators for classical groups, then the operations on the measures turn into the free convolution and projection themselves.
We also explain the relation between our results and limit shape theorems for uniformly random lozenge tilings with and without axial symmetry.
