Complexity of circulant graphs with non-fixed jumps, its arithmetic properties and asymptotics
In the present paper, we investigate a family of circulant graphs with non-fixed jumps $$G_n=C_{βn}(s_1, \ldots,s_k,α_1n,\ldots,α_\ell n),\, 1\le s_1<\ldots<s_k\le[\frac{βn}{2}],\, 1\le α_1< \ldots<α_\ell\le[\fracβ{2}].$$ Here $n$ is an arbitrary large natural number and integers $s_1, \ldots,s_k,α_1, \ldots,α_\ell$ are supposed to be fixed.
First, we present an explicit formula for the number of spanning trees in the graph $G_n.$ This formula is a product of $βs_k-1$ factors, each given by the $n$-th Chebyshev polynomial of the first kind evaluated at the roots of some prescribed polynomial of degree $s_k.$ Next, we provide some arithmetic properties of the complexity function. We show that the number of spanning trees in $G_n$ can be represented in the form $τ(n)=p \,n \,a(n)^2,$ where $a(n)$ is an integer sequence and $p$ is a prescribed natural number depending of parity of $β$ and $n.$ Finally, we find an asymptotic formula for $τ(n)$ through the Mahler measure of the Laurent polynomials differing by a constant from $2k-\sum\limits_{i=1}^k(z^{s_i}+z^{-s_i}).$
On complexity of cyclic coverings of graphs
By complexity of a finite graph we mean the number of spanning trees in the graph. The aim of the present paper is to give a new approach for counting complexity $τ(n)$ of cyclic $n$-fold coverings of a graph. We give an explicit analytic formula for $τ(n)$ in terms of Chebyshev polynomials and find its asymptotic behavior as $n\to\infty$ through the Mahler measure of the associated voltage polynomial. We also prove that $F(x)=\sum\limits_{n=1}^\inftyτ(n)x^n$ is a rational function with integer coefficients.

We study the longest increasing subsequence problem for random permutations avoiding the pattern $312$ and another pattern $τ$ under the uniform probability distribution. We determine the exact and asymptotic formulas for the average length of the longest increasing subsequences for such permutation classes specifically when the pattern $τ$ is monotone increasing or decreasing, or any pattern of length four.

We study the eigenvalues of the unique connected anti-regular graph $A_n$. Using Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind, we obtain a trigonometric equation whose roots are the eigenvalues and perform elementary analysis to obtain an almost complete characterization of the eigenvalues. In particular, we show that the interval $Ω=[\tfrac{-1-\sqrt{2}}{2}, \tfrac{-1+\sqrt{2}}{2}]$ contains only the trivial eigenvalues $λ= -1$ or $λ=0$, and any closed interval strictly larger than $Ω$ will contain eigenvalues of $A_n$ for all $n$ sufficiently large. We also obtain bounds for the maximum and minimum eigenvalues, and for all other eigenvalues we obtain interval bounds that improve as $n$ increases. Moreover, our approach reveals a more complete picture of the bipartite character of the eigenvalues of $A_n$, namely, as $n$ increases the eigenvalues are (approximately) symmetric about the number $-\tfrac{1}{2}$. We also obtain an asymptotic distribution of the eigenvalues as $n\rightarrow\infty$. Finally, the relationship between the eigenvalues of $A_n$ and the eigenvalues of a general threshold graph is discussed.

We completely describe the functional graph associated to iterations of Chebyshev polynomials over finite fields. Then, we use our structural results to obtain estimates for the average rho length, average number of connected components and the expected value for the period and preperiod of iterating Chebyshev polynomials.

A filtration of a representation whose successive quotients are isomorphic to Demazure modules is called an excellent filtration. In this paper we study graded multiplicities in excellent filtrations of fusion products for the current algebra $\mathfrak{sl}_2[t]$. We give a combinatorial formula for the polynomials encoding these multiplicities in terms of two dimensional lattice paths. Corollaries to our main theorem include a combinatorial interpretation of various objects such as the coeffficients of Ramanujan's fifth order mock theta functions $φ_0, φ_1, ψ_0, ψ_1$, Kostka polynomials for hook partitions and quotients of Chebyshev polynomials. We also get a combinatorial interpretation of the graded multiplicities in a level one flag of a local Weyl module associated to the simple Lie algebras of type $B_n \text{ and } G_2$.

We introduce and study a cyclically invariant polynomial which is an analog of the classical tridiagonal determinant usually called the continuant. We prove that this polynomial can be calculated as the Pfaffian of a skew-symmetric matrix. We consider the corresponding Diophantine equation and prove an analog of a famous result due to Conway and Coxeter. We also observe that Chebyshev polynomials of the first kind arise as Pfaffians.
Star of David and other patterns in the Hosoya-like polynomials triangles
In this paper we first generalize the numerical recurrence relation given by Hosoya to polynomials. Using this generalization we construct a Hosoya-like triangle for polynomials, where its entries are products of generalized Fibonacci polynomials (GFP). Examples of GFP are: Fibonacci polynomials, Chebyshev polynomials, Morgan-Voyce polynomials, Lucas polynomials, Pell polynomials, Fermat polynomials, Jacobsthal polynomials, Vieta polynomials and other familiar sequences of polynomials. For every choice of a GFP we obtain a triangular array of polynomials. In this paper we extend the star of David property, also called the Hoggatt-Hansell identity, to this type of triangles. We also establish the star of David property in the gibonomial triangle. In addition, we study other geometric patterns in these triangles and as a consequence we give geometric interpretations for the Cassini's identity, Catalan's identity, and other identities for Fibonacci polynomials.

We consider a family of I-graphs I(n,k,l), which is a generalization of the class of generalized Petersen graphs. In the present paper, we provide a new method for counting Jacobian group of the I-graph I(n,k,l). We show that the minimum number of generators of Jac(I(n,k,l)) is at least two and at most 2k + 2l - 1. Also, we obtain a closed formula for the number of spanning trees of I(n,k,l) in terms of Chebyshev polynomials. We investigate some arithmetical properties of this number and its asymptotic behaviour.

Using the language of Riordan arrays, we study a one-parameter family of orthogonal polynomials that we call the restricted Chebyshev-Boubaker polynomials. We characterize these polynomials in terms of the three term recurrences that they satisfy, and we study certain central sequences defined by their coefficient arrays. We give an integral representation for their moments, and we show that the Hankel transforms of these moments have a simple form. We show that the (sequence) Hankel transform of the row sums of the corresponding moment matrix is defined by a family of polynomials closely related to the Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind, and that these row sums are in fact the moments of another family of orthogonal polynomials.

In this paper, we describe a class of elements in the ring of $\mathrm{SL}(V)$-invariant polynomial functions on the space of configurations of vectors and linear forms of a 3-dimensional vector space $V.$ These elements are related to one another by an induction formula using Chebyshev polynomials. We also investigate the relation between these polynomials and G. Lusztig's dual canonical basis in tensor products of representations of $U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_3(\mathbb C)).$

Athanasiadis raised the question whether the local $h$-polynomials of type $A$ cluster subdivisions have only real zeros. In this paper, we confirm this conjecture and prove the real-rootedness of local $h$-polynomials for all the other Cartan--Killing types. Our proofs mainly involve multiplier sequences and Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind.
The C-finite Ansatz Meets the Holonomic Ansatz
We show how the continuous Almkvist-Zeilberger algorithm can be used to efficiently discover and prove differential equations satisfied by generating functions of sequences defined as integrals of powers of C-finite polynomial sequences (like the Chebyshev polynomials) from which one can automatically derive linear recurrences with polynomial coefficients for the sequences themselves. We fully implement this with a Maple package, CfiniteIntergal.txt .
Counting Restricted Dyck Paths Through Random Walks
We show connection between Dyck paths with peaks of bounded height and random walks. The correspondence between a certain class of random walks and such Dyck paths allows us to develop a probabilistic perspective on Chebyshev polynomials.
Chebyshev polynomials, quadratic surds and a variation of Pascal's triangle
Using Chebyshev polynomialsof both kinds, we construct rational fractions which are convergents of the smallest root of $x^2-αx+1$ for $α=3,4,5,\dots$.Some of the underlying identities suggest an identity involving binomialcoefficients which leads to a triangular array sharing many propertieswith Pascal's triangle.

We present a parametric family of Riordan arrays which are obtained by multiplying any Riordan array with a generalized Pascal array. In particular, we focus on some interesting properties of one-parameter Catalan triangles. We obtain several combinatorial identities that involve two special Catalan matrices, the Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind, some periodic sequences, and the Fibonacci numbers.

Consider non-negative lattice paths ending at their maximum height, which will be called admissible paths. We show that the probability for a lattice path to be admissible is related to the Chebyshev polynomials of the first or second kind, depending on whether the lattice path is defined with a reflective barrier or not. Parameters like the number of admissible paths with given length or the expected height are analyzed asymptotically. Additionally, we use a bijection between admissible random walks and special binary sequences to prove a recent conjecture by Zhao on ballot sequences.
