Work of Grantcharov et al. develops a theory of abstract crystals for the queer Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{q}_n$. Such $\mathfrak{q}_n$-crystals form a monoidal category in which the connected normal objects have unique highest weight elements and characters that are Schur $P$-polynomials. This article studies a modified form of this category, whose connected normal objects again have unique highest weight elements but now possess characters that are Schur $Q$-polynomials. The crystals in this category have some interesting features not present for ordinary $\mathfrak{q}_n$-crystals. For example, there is an extra crystal operator, a different tensor product, and an action of the hyperoctahedral group exchanging highest and lowest weight elements. There are natural examples of $\mathfrak{q}_n$-crystal structures on certain families of shifted tableaux and factorized reduced words. We describe extended forms of these structures that give similar examples in our new category.

In this article, we focus on association schemes with some properties derived from the orbitals of a transitive permutation group $G$ with a one-point stabilizer $H$ satisfying $H <N_G(H)<N_G(N_G(H))\unlhd G$ and $|N_G(N_G(H))|=p^3$ where $p$ is a prime. By a corollary of our main result we obtain some inequality which corresponds to the fact $|G:N_G(N_G(H))|\leq p+1$.

We prove a Banach version of Żuk's criterion for groups acting on partite simplicial complexes. Using this new criterion we derive a new fixed point theorem for random groups in the Gromov density model with respect to several classes of Banach spaces ($L^p$ spaces, Hilbertian spaces, uniformly curved spaces). In particular, we show that for every $p$, a group in the Gromov density model has asymptotically almost surely property $(F L^p)$ and give a sharp lower bound for the growth of the conformal dimension of the boundary of such group as a function of the parameters of the density model.

Any Schur ring is uniquely determined by a partition of the elements of the group. In this paper we present a general technique for enumerating Schur rings over cyclic groups using traditional Schur rings. We also survey recent efforts to enumerate Schur rings over cyclic groups of specific orders.
additive bases of abelian groups of rank 2
Let $G$ be a finite abelian group and $p$ be the smallest prime dividing $|G|$. Let $S$ be a sequence over $G$. We say that $S$ is regular if for every proper subgroup $H \subsetneq G$, $S$ contains at most $|H|-1$ terms from $H$. Let $\mathsf c_0(G)$ be the smallest integer $t$ such that every regular sequence $S$ over $G$ of length $|S|\geq t$ forms an additive basis of $G$, i.e., $\sum(S)=G$. The invariant $\mathsf c_0(G)$ was first studied by Olson and Peng in 1980's, and since then it has been determined for all finite abelian groups except for the groups with rank 2 and a few groups of rank 3 or 4 with order less than $10^8$. In this paper, we focus on the remaining case concerning groups of rank 2. It was conjectured by Gao et al. (Acta Arith. 168 (2015) 247-267) that $\mathsf c_0(G)=m(G)$. We confirm the conjecture for the case when $G=C_{n_1}\oplus C_{n_2}$ with $n_1|n_2$, $n_1\geq 2p$, $p\geq 3$ and $n_1n_2\geq 72p^6$.
Solvable conjugacy class graph of groups

In this paper we introduce the graph $Γ_{sc}(G)$ associated with a group $G$, called the solvable conjugacy class graph (abbreviated as SCC-graph), whose vertices are the nontrivial conjugacy classes of $G$ and two distinct conjugacy classes $C, D$ are adjacent if there exist $x \in C$ and $y \in D$ such that $\langle x, y\rangle$ is solvable.
We discuss the connectivity, girth, clique number, and several other properties of the SCC-graph. One of our results asserts that there are only finitely many finite groups whose SCC-graph has given clique number~$d$, and we find explicitly the list of such groups with $d=2$.
Super graphs on groups, I

Let $G$ be a finite group. A number of graphs with the vertex set $G$ have been studied, including the power graph, enhanced power graph, and commuting graph. These graphs form a hierarchy under the inclusion of edge sets, and it is useful to study them together. In addition, several authors have considered modifying the definition of these graphs by choosing a natural equivalence relation on the group such as equality, conjugacy, or equal orders, and joining two elements if there are elements in their equivalence class that are adjacent in the original graph. In this way, we enlarge the hierarchy into a second dimension. Using the three graph types and three equivalence relations mentioned gives nine graphs, of which in general only two coincide; we find conditions on the group for some other pairs to be equal. These often define interesting classes of groups, such as EPPO groups, $2$-Engel groups, and Dedekind groups.
We study some properties of graphs in this new hierarchy. In particular, we characterize the groups for which the graphs are complete, and in most cases, we characterize the dominant vertices (those joined to all others). Also, we give some results about universality, perfectness, and clique number.
The paper ends with some open problems and suggestions for further work.
Combinatorics of Centers of 0-Hecke Algebras in Type A
A basis of the center of the 0-Hecke algebra of an arbitrary finite Coxeter group was described by He in 2015. This basis is indexed by certain equivalence classes of the Coxeter group whose explicit description is rather complicated. Even their number is not obvious.
We consider case of the symmetric group $\mathfrak{S}_n$. Building on work of Geck, Kim and Pfeiffer, we obtain a complete set of representatives of the equivalence classes. This set is naturally parametrized by certain compositions of $n$ called maximal. It follows that the maximal compositions of $n$ index the basis of the center of the 0-Hecke algebra of $\mathfrak{S}_n$. We then develop an explicit combinatorial description for the equivalence classes that are parametrized by the maximal compositions whose odd parts form a hook.
Hall-Littlewood polynomials, boundaries, and $p$-adic random matrices
We prove that the boundary of the Hall-Littlewood $t$-deformation of the Gelfand-Tsetlin graph is parametrized by infinite integer signatures, extending results of Gorin and Cuenca on boundaries of related deformed Gelfand-Tsetlin graphs. In the special case when $1/t$ is a prime $p$ we use this to recover results of Bufetov-Qiu and Assiotis on infinite $p$-adic random matrices, placing them in the general context of branching graphs derived from symmetric functions.
Our methods rely on explicit formulas for certain skew Hall-Littlewood polynomials. As a separate corollary to these, we obtain a simple expression for the joint distribution of the cokernels of products $A_1, A_2A_1, A_3A_2A_1,\ldots$ of independent Haar-distributed matrices $A_i$ over the $p$-adic integers $\mathbb{Z}_p$. This expression generalizes the explicit formula for the classical Cohen-Lenstra measure on abelian $p$-groups.
The diagonal coinvariant ring of a complex reflection group

For an irreducible complex reflection group $W$ of rank $n$ containing $N$ reflections, we put $g=2N/n$ and construct a $(g+1)^n$-dimensional irreducible representation of the Cherednik algebra which is (as a vector space) a quotient of the diagonal coinvariant ring of $W$. We propose that this representation of the Cherednik algebra is the single largest representation bearing this relationship to the diagonal coinvariant ring, and that further corrections to this estimate of the dimension of the diagonal coinvariant ring by $(g+1)^n$ should be orders of magnitude smaller. A crucial ingredient in the construction is the existence of a dot action of a certain product of symmetric groups acting on the parameter space of the rational Cherednik algebra and leaving invariant both the finite Hecke algebra and the spherical subalgebra; this fact is a consequence of ideas of Berest-Chalykh on the relationship between the Cherednik algebra and quasi-invariants.
Explicit Abelian Lifts and Quantum LDPC Codes
For an abelian group $H$ acting on the set $[\ell]$, an $(H,\ell)$-lift of a graph $G_0$ is a graph obtained by replacing each vertex by $\ell$ copies, and each edge by a matching corresponding to the action of an element of $H$.
In this work, we show the following explicit constructions of expanders obtained via abelian lifts. For every (transitive) abelian group $H \leqslant \text{Sym}(\ell)$, constant degree $d \ge 3$ and $ε> 0$, we construct explicit $d$-regular expander graphs $G$ obtained from an $(H,\ell)$-lift of a (suitable) base $n$-vertex expander $G_0$ with the following parameters:
(i) $λ(G) \le 2\sqrt{d-1} + ε$, for any lift size $\ell \le 2^{n^δ}$ where $δ=δ(d,ε)$,
(ii) $λ(G) \le ε\cdot d$, for any lift size $\ell \le 2^{n^{δ_0}}$ for a fixed $δ_0 > 0$, when $d \ge d_0(ε)$, or
(iii) $λ(G) \le \widetilde{O}(\sqrt{d})$, for lift size ``exactly'' $\ell = 2^{Θ(n)}$.
As corollaries, we obtain explicit quantum lifted product codes of Panteleev and Kalachev of almost linear distance (and also in a wide range of parameters) and explicit classical quasi-cyclic LDPC codes with wide range of circulant sizes.
Items $(i)$ and $(ii)$ above are obtained by extending the techniques of Mohanty, O'Donnell and Paredes [STOC 2020] for $2$-lifts to much larger abelian lift sizes (as a byproduct simplifying their construction). This is done by providing a new encoding of special walks arising in the trace power method, carefully "compressing'" depth-first search traversals. Result $(iii)$ is via a simpler proof of Agarwal et al. [SIAM J. Discrete Math 2019] at the expense of polylog factors in the expansion.
Well-Ordered Flag Spaces as Functors of Points
Using Grothendieck's "functor of points" approach to algebraic geometry, we define a new infinite-dimensional algebro-geometric flag space as a $k$-functor (for $k$ a ring) which maps a $k$-algebra $R$ to the set of certain well-ordered chains of submodules of an infinite rank free $R$-module. This generalizes the well known construction of a $k$-functor that is represented by the classical (i.e. finite-dimensional) full flag scheme. We prove that as in the finite-dimensional case, there is an action of a general linear group on our flag space, that the stabilizer of the standard flag is the subgroup $B$ of upper triangular matrices, and that the Bruhat decomposition holds, meaning that our space is covered by the disjoint Schubert cells $\text{sh}(B σB) / B$ indexed by permutations $σ$ of an infinite set. Finally, in the case of flags indexed by the ordinal $ω+ 1$, we define an analog of the Bruhat order on this infinite permutation group and prove that when $k$ is a domain, Ehresmann's closure relations still hold, i.e. that the closure $\overline{\text{sh}(B σB) / B}$ is covered by the Schubert cells indexed by permutations smaller than $σ$ in the infinite Bruhat order.

This paper studies the long-standing open problem of the reduction of Steiner 3-designs admitting a block-transitive automorphism group. We prove that if G acts as a point-primitive, block-transitive automorphism group of a nontrivial Steiner 3-design, then G is of affine or almost simple type.
Hidden symmetries and Large N factorisation for permutation invariant matrix observables

Permutation invariant polynomial functions of matrices have previously been studied as the observables in matrix models invariant under $S_N$, the symmetric group of all permutations of $N$ objects. In this paper, the permutation invariant matrix observables (PIMOs) of degree $k$ are shown to be in one-to-one correspondence with equivalence classes of elements in the diagrammatic partition algebra $P_k(N)$. On a 4-dimensional subspace of the 13-parameter space of $S_N$ invariant Gaussian models, there is an enhanced $O(N)$ symmetry. At a special point in this subspace, is the simplest $O(N)$ invariant action. This is used to define an inner product on the PIMOs which is expressible as a trace of a product of elements in the partition algebra. The diagram algebra $P_k(N)$ is used to prove the large $N$ factorisation property of this inner product, which generalizes a familiar large $N$ factorisation for inner products of matrix traces invariant under continuous symmetries.

Let $H(n, q^2)$ be a non-degenerate Hermitian variety of $PG(n,q^2)$, $n \geq 2$. Let $NU(n+1,q^2)$ be the graph whose vertices are the points of $PG(n,q^2) \setminus H(n,q^2)$ and two vertices $u,~v$ are adjacent if the line joining $u$ and $v$ is tangent to $H(n, q^2 )$. Then $NU(n + 1, q^2)$ is a strongly regular graph. In this paper we show that the automorphism group of the graph $NU(3,q^2)$ is isomorphic either to $PΓU(3,q)$, the automorphism group of the projective unitary group $PGU(3,q)$, or to $S_{3} \wr S_{4}$, according as $q \neq 2$, or $q=2$.

We extend the notion of proper elements to all Coxeter groups. For all infinite families of finite Coxeter groups we prove that the probability a random element is proper goes to zero in the limit. This proves a conjecture of the third author and A. Yong regarding the proportion of Schubert varieties that are Levi spherical for all infinite families of Weyl groups. We also enumerate the proper elements in the exceptional Coxeter groups.
Markov's problem for free groups
We prove that every unconditionally closed subset of a free group is algebraic, thereby answering affirmatively a 76 years old problem of Markov for free groups. In modern terminology, this means that Markov and Zariski topologies coincide in free groups. It follows that the class of groups for which Markov and Zariski topologies coincide is not closed under taking quotients. We also show that Markov and Zariski topologies differ from the so-called precompact Markov topology in non-commutative free groups.
Semi-equivelar toroidal maps and their k-semiregular covers
If the face\mbox{-}cycles at all the vertices in a map are of same type then the map is called semi\mbox{-}equivelar. In particular, it is called equivelar if the face-cycles contain same type of faces. A map is semiregular (or almost regular) if it has as few flag orbits as possible for its type. A map is $k$-regular if it is equivelar and the number of flag orbits of the map $k$ under the automorphism group. In particular, if $k =1$, its called regular. A map is $k$-semiregular if it contains more number of flags as compared to its type with the number of flags orbits $k$. Drach et al. \cite{drach:2019} have proved that every semi-equivelar toroidal map has a finite unique minimal semiregular cover. In this article, we show the bounds of flag orbits of semi-equivelar toroidal maps, i.e., there exists $k$ for each type such that every semi-equivelar map is $\ell$-uniform for some $\ell \le k$. We show that none of the Archimedean types on the torus is semiregular, i.e., for each type, there exists a map whose number of flag orbits is more than its type. We also prove that if a semi-equivelar map is $m$-semiregular then it has a finite index $t$-semiregular minimal cover for $t \le m$. We also show the existence and classification of $n$ sheeted $k$-semiregular maps for some $k$ of semi-equivelar toroidal maps for each $n \in \mathbb{N}$.
The lattice of nil-Hecke algebras over real and complex reflection groups
Associated to every complex reflection group, we construct a lattice of quotients of its braid monoid-algebra, which we term nil-Hecke algebras, and which are obtained by killing all braid words that are "sufficiently long", as well as some integer power of each generator. These include usual nil-Coxeter algebras, nil-Temperley-Lieb algebras, and their variants, and lead to symmetric semigroup module categories which necessarily cannot be monoidal.
Motivated by classical work of Coxeter (1957) and the Broue-Malle-Rouquier freeness conjecture [Crelle 1998], and continuing beyond work of the second author [Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 2018], we obtain a complete classification of the finite-dimensional nil-Hecke algebras for all complex reflection groups $W$. These comprise the usual nil-Coxeter algebras for $W$ of finite type, their "fully commutative" analogues for $W$ of FC-finite type, three exceptional algebras (of types $F_4,H_3,H_4$), and three exceptional series (of types $B_n$ and $A_n$, two of them novel). In particular, we find the first - and only two - finite-dimensional nil-Hecke algebras over discrete complex reflection groups; this breaks from the nil-Coxeter case (where no braid words are further killed, and) where Marin [J. Pure Appl. Alg. 2014] and Khare [Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 2018] showed that such algebras do not exist.
In addition to these algebras, and also algebraic connections (to PBW deformations and non-monoidal tensor categories), we further uncover combinatorial bases of algebras, both known (fully commutative elements) and novel ($\bar{12}$-avoiding signed permutations). Our classification draws from and brings together results of Popov [Comm. Math. Inst. Utrecht 1982], Stembridge [J. Alg. Combin. 1996, 1998], Malle [Transform. Groups} 1996], Postnikov via Gowravaram-Khovanova (2015), Hart [J. Group Th. 2017], and Khare [Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 2018].

A colored Gaussian graphical model is a linear concentration model in which equalities among the concentrations are specified by a coloring of an underlying graph. The model is called RCOP if this coloring is given by the edge and vertex orbits of a subgroup of the automorphism group of the graph. We show that RCOP Gaussian graphical models on block graphs are toric in the space of covariance matrices and we describe Markov bases for them. To this end, we learn more about the combinatorial structure of these models and their connection with Jordan algebras.
