Elliptic arrangements of complex multiplication type
We provide a natural definition of an elliptic arrangement, extending the classical framework to an elliptic curve E with complex multiplication. We analyse the intersections of elements of the arrangement and their connected components as End(E)-modules. Furthermore, we prove that the combinatorial data of elliptic arrangements define both an arithmetic matroid and a matroid over the ring End(E). In this way, we obtain a class of arithmetic matroids that is different from the class of arithmetic matroids realizable via toric arrangements. Finally, we show that the Euler characteristic of the complement is an evaluation of the arithmetic Tutte polynomial.

Sazdanovic and Yip defined a categorification of Stanley's chromatic function called the chromatic symmetric homology. In this paper we prove that (as conjectured by Chandler, Sazdanovic, Stella and Yip), if a graph $G$ is non-planar, then its chromatic symmetric homology in bidegree (1,0) contains $\mathbb{Z}_2$-torsion. Our proof follows a recursive argument based on Kuratowsky's theorem.

Given an arrangement of subtori of arbitrary codimension in a torus, we compute the cohomology groups of the complement. Then, using the Leray spectral sequence, we describe the multiplicative structure on the graded cohomology. We also provide a differential model for the cohomology ring by considering a toric wonderful model and its Morgan algebra. Finally we focus on the divisorial case, proving a new presentation for the cohomology of toric arrangements.

Given a group $G$ of automorphisms of a matroid $M$, we describe the representations of $G$ on the homology of the independence complex of the dual matroid $M^*$. These representations are related with the homology of the lattice of flats of $M$, and (when $M$ is realizable) with the top cohomology of a hyperplane arrangement. Finally we analyze in detail the case of the complete graph, which has applications to algebraic geometry.
The monoid of monotone functions on a poset and quasi-arithmetic multiplicities for uniform matroids
We describe the structure of the monoid of natural-valued monotone functions on an arbitrary poset. For this monoid we provide a presentation, a characterization of prime elements, and a description of its convex hull. We also study the associated monoid ring, proving that it is normal, and thus Cohen-Macaulay. We determine its Cohen-Macaulay type, characterize the Gorenstein property, and provide a Gröbner basis of the defining ideal. Then we apply these results to the monoid of quasi-arithmetic multiplicities on a uniform matroid. Finally we state some conjectures on the number of irreducibles for the monoid of multiplicities on an arbitrary matroid.

The Tutte polynomial is the most general invariant of matroids and graphs that can be computed recursively by deleting and contracting edges. We generalize this invariant to any class of combinatorial objects with deletion and contraction operations, associating to each such class a universal Tutte character by a functorial procedure. We show that these invariants satisfy a universal property and convolution formulae similar to the Tutte polynomial. With this machinery we recover classical invariants for delta-matroids, matroid perspectives, relative and colored matroids, generalized permutohedra, and arithmetic matroids, and produce some new convolution formulae. Our principal tools are combinatorial coalgebras and their convolution algebras. Our results generalize in an intrinsic way the recent results of Krajewski--Moffatt--Tanasa.
Polyhedra and parameter spaces for matroids over valuation rings

In this paper we address two of the major foundational questions in the theory of matroids over rings. First, we provide a cryptomorphic axiomatisation, by introducing an analogue of the base polytope for matroids. Second, we describe a parameter space for matroids over a valuation ring, which turns out to be a tropical version of the Bott-Samelson varieties for the full flag variety. Thus a matroid over a valuation ring is a sequence of flags of tropical linear spaces a.k.a. valuated matroids.
Colorings and flows on CW complexes, Tutte quasi-polynomials and arithmetic matroids
In this note we provide a higher-dimensional analogue of Tutte's celebrated theorem on colorings and flows of graphs, by showing that the theory of arithmetic Tutte polynomials and quasi-polynomials encompasses invariants defined for CW complexes by Beck-Breuer-Godkin-Martin and Duval-Klivans-Martin. Furthermore, we answer a question by Bajo-Burdick-Chmutov, concerning the modified Tutte-Krushkal-Renhardy polynomials defined by these authors: to this end, we prove that the product of two arithmetic multiplicity functions on a matroid is again an arithmetic multiplicity function.
The expected jaggedness of order ideals

The jaggedness of an order ideal I in a poset P is the number of maximal elements in I plus the number of minimal elements of P not in I. A probability distribution on the set of order ideals of P is toggle-symmetric if for every p in P, the probability that p is maximal in I equals the probability that p is minimal not in I. In this paper, we prove a formula for the expected jaggedness of an order ideal of P under any toggle-symmetric probability distribution when P is the poset of boxes in a skew Young diagram. Our result extends the main combinatorial theorem of Chan-López-Pflueger-Teixidor, who used an expected jaggedness computation as a key ingredient to prove an algebro-geometric formula; and it has applications to homomesies, in the sense of Propp-Roby, of the antichain cardinality statistic for order ideals in partially ordered sets.

We give an algebraic description of several modules and algebras related to the vector partition function, and we prove that they can be realized as the equivariant K-theory of some manifolds that have a nice combinatorial description. We also propose a more natural and general notion of duality between these modules, which corresponds to a Poincaré duality-type correspondence for equivariant K-theory.
Matroids over a ring

We introduce the notion of a matroid M over a commutative ring R, assigning to every subset of the ground set an R-module according to some axioms. When R is a field, we recover matroids. When R=$\mathbb{Z}$, and when R is a DVR, we get (structures which contain all the data of) quasi-arithmetic matroids, and valuated matroids i.e. tropical linear spaces, respectively. More generally, whenever R is a Dedekind domain, we extend all the usual properties and operations holding for matroids (e.g., duality), and we explicitly describe the structure of the matroids over R. Furthermore, we compute the Tutte-Grothendieck ring of matroids over R. We also show that the Tutte quasi-polynomial of a matroid over $\mathbb{Z}$ can be obtained as an evaluation of the class of the matroid in the Tutte-Grothendieck ring.
The multivariate arithmetic Tutte polynomial

We introduce an arithmetic version of the multivariate Tutte polynomial, and (for representable arithmetic matroids) a quasi-polynomial that interpolates between the two. A generalized Fortuin-Kasteleyn representation with applications to arithmetic colorings and flows is obtained. We give a new and more general proof of the positivity of the coefficients of the arithmetic Tutte polynomial, and (in the representable case) a geometrical interpretation of them.
Graph colorings, flows and arithmetic Tutte polynomial
We introduce the notions of arithmetic colorings and arithmetic flows over a graph with labelled edges, which generalize the notions of colorings and flows over a graph.
We show that the corresponding arithmetic chromatic polynomial and arithmetic flow polynomial are given by suitable specializations of the associated arithmetic Tutte polynomial, generalizing classical results of Tutte.
Arithmetic matroids, Tutte polynomial, and toric arrangements
We introduce the notion of an arithmetic matroid, whose main example is given by a list of elements of a finitely generated abelian group. In particular we study the representability of its dual, providing an extension of the Gale duality to this setting. Guided by the geometry of generalized toric arrangements, we provide a combinatorial interpretation of the associated arithmetic Tutte polynomial, which can be seen as a generalization of Crapo's formula for the classical Tutte polynomial.
Ehrhart polynomial and multiplicity Tutte polynomial
We prove that the Ehrhart polynomial of a zonotope is a specialization of the multiplicity Tutte polynomial. We derive some formulae for the volume and the number of integer points of the zonotope.
On a conjecture of Hivert and Thiéry about Steenrod operators
We prove some results related to a conjecture of Hivert and Thiéry about the dimension of the space of q-harmonics. In the process we compute the actions of the involved operators on symmetric and alternating functions, which have some independent interest. We then use these computations to prove other results related to the same conjecture.

Given the toric (or toral) arrangement defined by a root system $Φ$, we describe the poset of its layers (connected components of intersections) and we count its elements. Indeed we show how to reduce to zero-dimensional layers, and in this case we provide an explicit formula involving the maximal subdiagrams of the affine Dynkin diagram of $Φ$. Then we compute the Euler characteristic and the Poincare' polynomial of the complement of the arrangement, which is the set of regular points of the torus.

We build a wonderful model for toric arrangements. We develop the "toric analog" of the combinatorics of nested sets, which allows to define a family of smooth open sets covering the model. In this way we prove that the model is smooth, and we give a precise geometric and combinatorial description of the normal crossing divisor.

We introduce a multiplicity Tutte polynomial M(x,y), with applications to zonotopes and toric arrangements. We prove that M(x,y) satisfies a deletion-restriction recurrence and has positive coefficients. The characteristic polynomial and the Poincare' polynomial of a toric arrangement are shown to be specializations of the associated polynomial M(x,y), likewise the corresponding polynomials for a hyperplane arrangement are specializations of the ordinary Tutte polynomial. Furthermore, M(1,y) is the Hilbert series of the related discrete Dahmen-Micchelli space, while M(x,1) computes the volume and the number of integral points of the associated zonotope.
