We propose new Pieri type formulas for Jack polynomials, which is another kind of Pieri type formulas than the ones in the previous paper (G. Shibukawa, arXiv:2004.12875). From these new Pieri type formulas, we give yet another proof of difference and Pieri formulas for interpolation Jack polynomials. Further, we also generalize a falling type twisted Pieri formula to the binomial type polynomials including Jack and multivariate Bernoulli polynomials.

We evaluate the Hankel determinants of various sequences related to Bernoulli and Euler numbers and special values of the corresponding polynomials. Some of these results arise as special cases of Hankel determinants of certain sums and differences of Bernoulli and Euler polynomials, while others are consequences of a method that uses the derivatives of Bernoulli and Euler polynomials. We also obtain Hankel determinants for sequences of sums and differences of powers and for generalized Bernoulli polynomials belonging to certain Dirichlet characters with small conductors. Finally, we collect and organize Hankel determinant identities for numerous sequences, both new and known, containing Bernoulli and Euler numbers and polynomials.

We give a new identity involving Bernoulli polynomials and combinatorial numbers. This provides, in particular, a Faulhaber-like formula for sums of the form $1^m (n-1)^m + 2^m (n-2)^m + \cdots + (n-1)^m 1^m$ for positive integers $m$ and $n$.
On a Class of Sums with Unexpectedly High Cancellation, and its Applications
Following attempts at an analytic proof of the Pentagonal Number Theorem, we report on the discovery of a general principle leading to an unexpected cancellation of oscillating sums. After stating the motivation, and our theorem, we apply it to prove several results on the Prouhet-Tarry-Escott Problem, integer partitions, and the distribution of prime numbers. Regarding the Prouhet-Tarry-Escott problem, we show that \begin{align*} \sum_{|\ell|\leq x}(4x^2-4\ell^2)^{2r}-\sum_{|\ell|<x}(4x^2-(2\ell+1)^2)^{2r}=\text{polynomial w.r.t. } x \text{ with degree }2r-1. \end{align*} This can perhaps be proved using properties of Bernoulli polynomials, but the claim fell out of our method in a more natural and motivated way. Using this result, we solve an approximate version of the PTE Problem, and in doing so our work in the approximate case exceeds the bounds one can prove using a pigeonhole argument, which seems remarkable. Also, we prove that $$ \sum_{\ell^2 < n} (-1)^\ell p(n-\ell^2)\ \sim\ (-1)^n 2^{-3/4} n^{-1/4} \sqrt{p(n)}, $$ where $p(n)$ is the usual partition function. We get the following "Weak pentagonal number theorem", in which we can replace the partition function $p(n)$ with Chebyshev $Ψ$ function: $$ \sum_{0 < \ell < \sqrt{xT}/2} Ψ([e^{\sqrt{x - \frac{(2\ell)^2}{T}}},\ e^{\sqrt{x - \frac{(2\ell-1)^2}{T}}}])\ =Ψ(e^{\sqrt{x}})\left(\frac{1}{2} + O\left (e^{-0.196\sqrt{x}}\right)\right), $$ where $T=e^{0.786\sqrt{x}}$, where $Ψ([a,b]) := \sum_{n\in [a,b]} Λ(n)$ and $Ψ(x) = Ψ([1,x])$, where $Λ$ is the von Mangoldt function. Note that this last equation (sum over $\ell$) is stronger than one would get using a strong form of the Prime Number Theorem and also a naive use of the Riemann Hypothesis in each interval, since the widths of the intervals are smaller than $e^{\frac{1}{2} \sqrt{x}}$, making the RH estimate ``trivial".

In this paper we obtain a new curious identity involving trigonometric functions. Namely, for any positive odd integer $n$ we prove that $$\sum_{k=1}^n(-1)^k(\cot kx)\sin k(n-k)x=\frac{1-n}2,$$ which is equivalent to the identity $$\sum_{k=1}^n(-1)^kU_{n-k}(\cos kx)=-\frac{n+1}2,$$ where $U_m(z)$ stands for the $m$th Chebyshev polynomial of the second kind. As a consequence, for any positive odd integer $n$ and positive integer $m$ we obtain $$\sum_{k=1}^n(-1)^kk^{2m}B_{2m+1}\left(\frac{n-k}2\right)=0,$$ where $B_j(x)$ denotes the Bernoulli polynomial of degree $j$.

We introduce a new representation for the rescaled Appell polynomials and use it to obtain asymptotic expansions to arbitrary order. This representation consists of a finite sum and an integral over a universal contour (i.e. independent of the particular polynomials considered within the Appell family). We illustrate our method by studying the zero attractors for rescaled Appell polynomials. We also discuss the asymptotics to arbitrary order of the rescaled Bernoulli polynomials.

We define the Bernoulli polynomials with a $q$ parameter in terms of $r$-Whitney numbers of the second kind. Some algebraic properties and combinatorial identities of these polynomials are given. Also, we obtain several relations between the Cauchy and Bernoulli polynomials with a $q$ parameter in terms of $r$-Whitney numbers of both kinds.

We define a new class of generating function transformations related to polylogarithm functions, Dirichlet series, and Euler sums. These transformations are given by an infinite sum over the $j^{th}$ derivatives of a sequence generating function and sets of generalized coefficients satisfying a non-triangular recurrence relation in two variables. The generalized transformation coefficients share a number of analogous properties with the Stirling numbers of the second kind and the known harmonic number expansions of the unsigned Stirling numbers of the first kind.
We prove a number of properties of the generalized coefficients which lead to new recurrence relations and summation identities for the $k$-order harmonic number sequences. Other applications of the generating function transformations we define in the article include new series expansions for the polylogarithm function, the alternating zeta function, and the Fourier series for the periodic Bernoulli polynomials. We conclude the article with a discussion of several specific new "almost" linear recurrence relations between the integer-order harmonic numbers and the generalized transformation coefficients, which provide new applications to studying the limiting behavior of the zeta function constants, $ζ(k)$, at integers $k \geq 2$.
Duals of Bernoulli Numbers and Polynomials and Euler Number and Polynomials
A sequence inverse relationship can be defined by a pair of infinite inverse matrices. If the pair of matrices are the same, they define a dual relationship. Here presented is a unified approach to construct dual relationships via pseudo-involution of Riordan arrays. Then we give four dual relationships for Bernoulli numbers and Euler numbers, from which the corresponding dual sequences of Bernoulli polynomials and Euler polynomials are constructed. Some applications in the construction of identities of Bernoulli numbers and polynomials and Euler numbers and polynomials are discussed based on the dual relationships.

The harmonic numbers $H_n=\sum_{0<k\le n}1/k\ (n=0,1,2,\ldots)$ play important roles in mathematics. Let $p>3$ be a prime. With helps of some combinatorial identities, we establish the following two new congruences: $$\sum_{k=1}^{p-1}\frac{\binom{2k}k}kH_k\equiv\frac13\left(\frac p3\right)B_{p-2}\left(\frac13\right)\pmod{p}$$ and $$\sum_{k=1}^{p-1}\frac{\binom{2k}k}kH_{2k}\equiv\frac7{12}\left(\frac p3\right)B_{p-2}\left(\frac13\right)\pmod{p},$$ where $B_n(x)$ denotes the Bernoulli polynomial of degree $n$. As an application, we determine $\sum_{n=1}^{p-1}g_n$ and $\sum_{n=1}^{p-1}h_n$ modulo $p^3$, where
$$g_n=\sum_{k=0}^n\binom nk^2\binom{2k}k\quad\mbox{and}\quad h_n=\sum_{k=0}^n\binom nk^2C_k$$ with $C_k=\binom{2k}k/(k+1)$.

Remarks on Lubbock's summation formulae
The coefficients occurring in summation formulae of the Lubbock type are shown to be generalised Bernoulli polynomials which turn up in subdivision questions such as quantum field theory around a conical singularity and on spherical lunes. An image interpretation is made, generating functions are brought in and some trigonometric summations encountered. A formal Lubbock formula is introduced for a general delta operator.

In this paper we investigate special generalized Bernoulli polynomials with a,b,c parameters that generalize classical Bernoulli numbers and polynomials. The present paper deals with some recurrence formulae for the generalization of poly-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials with a,b,c parameters. Poly-Bernoulli numbers satisfy certain recurrence relationships which are used in many computations involving poly-Bernoulli numbers. Obtaining a closed formula for generalization of poly-Bernoulli numbers with a,b,c paramerers therefore seems to be a natural and important problem. By using the generalization of poly-Bernoulli polynomials with a,b,c parameters of negative index we define symmetrized generalization of poly-Bernoulli polynomials with a,b parameters of two variables and we prove duality property for them. Also by stirling numbers of the second kind we will find a closed formula for them. Furthermore we generalize the Arakawa-Kaneko Zeta functions and by using the Laplace-Mellin integral, we define generalization of Arakawa-Kaneko Zeta functions with a,b parameters and we obtain an interpolation formula for the generalization of poly-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials with a,b parameters. Furthermore we present a link between this type of Zeta functions and Dirichlet series. By our interpolation formula, we will interpolate the generalization of Arakawa-Kaneko Zeta functions with a,b parameters.

The Shi arrangement is an affine arrangement of hyperplanes consisting of the hyperplanes of the braid arrangement and their parallel translations. In this paper, we give an explicit basis construction for the derivation module of the cone over the Shi arrangement. The essential ingredient of our recipe is the Bernoulli polynomials.

We present a computer algebra approach to proving identities on Bernoulli polynomials and Euler polynomials by using the extended Zeilberger's algorithm given by Chen, Hou and Mu. The key idea is to use the contour integral definitions of the Bernoulli and Euler numbers to establish recurrence relations on the integrands. Such recurrence relations have certain parameter free properties which lead to the required identities without computing the integrals.

Extension of the Bernoulli and Eulerian Polynomials of Higher Order and Vector Partition Function
Following the ideas of L. Carlitz we introduce a generalization of the Bernoulli and Eulerian polynomials of higher order to vectorial index and argument. These polynomials are used for computation of the vector partition function $W({\bf s},{\bf D})$, i.e., a number of integer solutions to a linear system ${\bf x} \ge 0, {\bf D x} = {\bf s}$. It is shown that $W({\bf s},{\bf D})$ can be expressed through the vector Bernoulli polynomials of higher order.

We observe that the classical Faulhaber's theorem on sums of odd powers also holds for an arbitrary arithmetic progression, namely, the odd power sums of any arithmetic progression $a+b, a+2b, ..., a+nb$ is a polynomial in $na+n(n+1)b/2$. While this assertion can be deduced from the original Fauhalber's theorem, we give an alternative formula in terms of the Bernoulli polynomials. Moreover, by utilizing the central factorial numbers as in the approach of Knuth, we derive formulas for $r$-fold sums of powers without resorting to the notion of $r$-reflexive functions. We also provide formulas for the $r$-fold alternating sums of powers in terms of Euler polynomials.
