Consider the random subgraph process on a base graph $G$ on $n$ vertices: a sequence $\lbrace G_t \rbrace _{t=0} ^{|E(G)|}$ of random subgraphs of $G$ obtained by choosing an ordering of the edges of $G$ uniformly at random, and by sequentially adding edges to $G_0$, the empty graph on the vertex set of $G$, according to the chosen ordering. We show that if $G$ has one of the following properties:
1. There is a positive constant $\varepsilon > 0$ such that $δ(G) \geq \left( \frac{1}{2} + \varepsilon \right) n$;
2. There are some constants $α, β>0$ such that every two disjoint subsets $U,W$ of size at least $αn$ have at least $β|U||W|$ edges between them, and the minimum degree of $G$ is at least $(2α+ β)\cdot n$; or:
3. $G$ is an $(n,d,λ)$--graph, with $d\geq \frac{C\cdot n\cdot \log \log n}{\log n}$ and $λ\leq \frac{c\cdot d^2}{n}$ for some absolute constants $c,C>0$.
then for a positive integer constant $k$ with high probability the hitting time of the property of containing $k$ edge disjoint Hamilton cycles is equal to the hitting time of having minimum degree at least $2k$. These results extend prior results by by Johansson and by Frieze and Krivelevich, and answer a question posed by Frieze.
On the central levels problem

The central levels problem asserts that the subgraph of the $(2m+1)$-dimensional hypercube induced by all bitstrings with at least $m+1-\ell$ many 1s and at most $m+\ell$ many 1s, i.e., the vertices in the middle $2\ell$ levels, has a Hamilton cycle for any $m\geq 1$ and $1\le \ell\le m+1$. This problem was raised independently by Buck and Wiedemann, Savage, by Gregor and Škrekovski, and by Shen and Williams, and it is a common generalization of the well-known middle levels problem, namely the case $\ell=1$, and classical binary Gray codes, namely the case $\ell=m+1$. In this paper we present a general constructive solution of the central levels problem. Our results also imply the existence of optimal cycles through any sequence of $\ell$ consecutive levels in the $n$-dimensional hypercube for any $n\ge 1$ and $1\le \ell \le n+1$. Moreover, extending an earlier construction by Streib and Trotter, we construct a Hamilton cycle through the $n$-dimensional hypercube, $n\geq 2$, that contains the symmetric chain decomposition constructed by Greene and Kleitman in the 1970s, and we provide a loopless algorithm for computing the corresponding Gray code.
Lorentzian polynomials from polytope projections

Lorentzian polynomials, recently introduced by Brändén and Huh, generalize the notion of log-concavity of sequences to homogeneous polynomials whose supports are integer points of generalized permutahedra. Brändén and Huh show that normalizations of polynomials equaling integer point transforms of generalized permutahedra are Lorentzian; moreover, normalizations of certain projections of integer point transforms of generalized permutahedra with zero-one vertices are also Lorentzian. Taking this polytopal perspective further, we show that normalizations of certain projections of integer point transforms of flow polytopes (which, before projection, are not Lorentzian), are also Lorentzian.
Enumerating Parking Completions Using Join and Split

Given a strictly increasing sequence $\mathbf{t}$ with entries from $[n]:=\{1,\ldots,n\}$, a parking completion is a sequence $\mathbf{c}$ with $|\mathbf{t}|+|\mathbf{c}|=n$ and $|\{t\in \mathbf{t}\mid t\le i\}|+|\{c\in \mathbf{c}\mid c\le i\}|\ge i$ for all $i$ in $[n]$. We can think of $\mathbf{t}$ as a list of spots already taken in a street with $n$ parking spots and $\mathbf{c}$ as a list of parking preferences where the $i$-th car attempts to park in the $c_i$-th spot and if not available then proceeds up the street to find the next available spot, if any. A parking completion corresponds to a set of preferences $\mathbf{c}$ where all cars park.
We relate parking completions to enumerating restricted lattice paths and give formulas for both the ordered and unordered variations of the problem by use of a pair of operations termed \textbf{Join} and \textbf{Split}. Our results give a new volume formula for most Pitman-Stanley polytopes, and enumerate the signature parking functions of Ceballos and González D'León.
Uniform Local Amenability implies Property A

In this short note we answer a query of Brodzki, Niblo, Špakula, Willett and Wright by showing that all bounded degree uniformly locally amenable graphs have Property A. For the second result of the note recall that Kaiser proved that if $Γ$ is a finitely generated group and $\{H_i\}^\infty_{i=1}$ is a Farber sequence of finite index subgroups, then the associated Schreier graph sequence is of Property A if and only if the group is amenable. We show however, that there exist a non-amenable group and a nested sequence of finite index subgroups $\{H_i\}^\infty_{i=1}$ such that $\cap H=\{e_Γ\}$, and the associated Schreier graph sequence is of Property A.
Riordan arrays, the $A$-matrix, and Somos $4$ sequences
We characterize certain Riordan arrays by their $A$-matrices and $ρ$ sequences. We conjecture the form of a generic $A$-matrix which leads to Somos $4$ sequences. We find an $A$-matrix that produces a Riordan quasi-involution, and we study the $A$-matrices and $ρ$ sequences of the moment matrices of certain perturbed orthogonal polynomials.
A Pósa-type condition of potentially $_3C_\ell$-graphic sequences
A non-increasing sequence $π=(d_1,\ldots,d_n)$ of nonnegative integers is said to be graphic if it is realizable by a simple graph $G$ on $n$ vertices. A graphic sequence $π=(d_1,\ldots,d_n)$ is said to be potentially $_3C_\ell$-graphic if there is a realization of $π$ containing cycles of every length $r$, $3\le r\le \ell$. It is well-known that if the non-increasing degree sequence $(d_1,\ldots,d_\ell)$ of a graph $G$ on $\ell$ vertices satisfies the Pósa condition that $d_{\ell+1-i}\ge i+1$ for every $i$ with $1\le i<\frac{\ell}{2}$, then $G$ is either pancyclic or bipartite. In this paper, we obtain a Pósa-type condition of potentially $_3C_\ell$-graphic sequences, that is, we prove that if $\ell\ge 5$ is an integer, $n\ge \ell$ and $π=(d_1,\ldots,d_n)$ is a graphic sequence with $d_{\ell+1-i}\ge i+1$ for every $i$ with $1\le i<\frac{\ell}{2}$, then $π$ is potentially $_3C_\ell$-graphic. This result improves a Dirac-type condition of potentially $_3C_\ell$-graphic sequences due to Yin et al. [Appl. Math. Comput., 353 (2019) 88--94], and asymptotically answers a problem due to Li et al. [Adv. Math., 33 (2004) 273--283]. As an application, this result also completely implies the value $σ(C_\ell,n)$ for $\ell\ge 5$ and $n\ge \ell$, improving the result of Lai [J. Combin. Math. Combin. Comput., 49 (2004) 57--64].

A pair of orthogonal latin cubes of order $q$ is equivalent to an MDS code with distance $3$ or to an ${\rm OA}_1(3,5,q)$ orthogonal array. We construct pairs of orthogonal latin cubes for a sequence of previously unknown orders $q_i=16(18i-1)+4$ and $q'_i=16(18i+5)+4$. The minimal new obtained parameters of orthogonal arrays are ${\rm OA}_1(3,5,84)$.

Applied to a nonnegative $m\times n$ matrix with a nonzero $σ$-diagonal, the sequence of matrices constructed by alternate row and column scaling conveges to a doubly stochastic matrix. It is proved that if this sequence converges after only a finite number of scalings, then it converges after at most two scalings.
Some properties of $k$-bonacci words on infinite alphabet

The Fibonacci word $W$ on an infinite alphabet was introduced in [Zhang et al., Electronic J. Combinatorics 2017 24(2), 2-52] as a fixed point of the morphism $2i\rightarrow (2i)(2i+1)$, $(2i+1) \rightarrow (2i+2)$, $i\geq 0$. Here, for any integer $k>2$, we define the infinite $k$-bonacci word $W^{(k)}$ on the infinite alphabet as the fixed point of the morphism $\varphi_k$ on the alphabet $\mathbb{N}$ defined for any $i\geq 0$ and any $0\leq j\leq k-1$, as \begin{equation*} \varphi_k(ki+j) = \left\{ \begin{array}{ll} (ki)(ki+j+1) & \text{if } j = 0,\cdots ,k-2,\\ (ki+j+1)& \text{otherwise}. \end{array} \right. \end{equation*} We consider the sequence of finite words $(W^{(k)}_n)_{n\geq 0}$, where $W^{(k)}_n$ is the prefix of $W^{(k)}$ whose length is the $(n+k)$-th $k$-bonacci number. We then provide a recursive formula for the number of palindromes occur in different positions of $W^{(k)}_n$. Finally, we obtain the structure of all palindromes occurring in $W^{(k)}$ and based on this, we compute the palindrome complexity of $W^{(k)}$, for any $k>2$.
Some Algebraic Properties of Lecture Hall Polytopes
In this note, we investigate some of the fundamental algebraic and geometric properties of $s$-lecture hall simplices and their generalizations. We show that all $s$-lecture hall order polytopes, which simultaneously generalize $s$-lecture hall simplices and order polytopes, satisfy a property which implies the integer decomposition property. This answers one conjecture of Hibi, Olsen and Tsuchiya. By relating $s$-lecture hall polytopes to alcoved polytopes, we then use this property to show that families of $s$-lecture hall simplices admit a quadratic Gröbner basis with a square-free initial ideal. Consequently, we find that all $s$-lecture hall simplices for which the first order difference sequence of $s$ is a $0,1$-sequence have a regular and unimodular triangulation. This answers a second conjecture of Hibi, Olsen and Tsuchiya, and it gives a partial answer to a conjecture of Beck, Braun, Köppe, Savage and Zafeirakopoulos.
BPS states, conserved charges and centres of symmetric group algebras

In $\mathcal{N}=4$ SYM with $U(N)$ gauge symmetry, the multiplicity of half-BPS states with fixed dimension can be labelled by Young diagrams and can be distinguished using conserved charges corresponding to Casimirs of $U(N)$. The information theoretic study of LLM geometries and superstars in the dual $AdS_5 \times S^5$ background has raised a number of questions about the distinguishability of Young diagrams when a finite set of Casimirs are known. Using Schur-Weyl duality relations between unitary groups and symmetric groups, these questions translate into structural questions about the centres of symmetric group algebras. We obtain analytic and computational results about these structural properties and related Shannon entropies, and generate associated number sequences. A characterization of Young diagrams in terms of content distribution functions relates these number sequences to diophantine equations. These content distribution functions can be visualized as connected, segmented, open strings in content space.

Sequences of Genocchi numbers of the first and second kind are considered. For these numbers, an approach based on their representation using sequences of polynomials is developed. Based on this approach, for these numbers some identities generalizing the known identities are constructed.
Tropical principal component analysis on the space of ultrametrics

In 2019, Yoshida et al. introduced a notion of tropical principal component analysis (PCA). The output is a tropical polytope with a fixed number of vertices that best fits the data. We here apply tropical PCA to dimension reduction and visualization of data sampled from the space of phylogenetic trees. Our main results are twofold: the existence of a tropical cell decomposition into regions of fixed tree topology and the development of a stochastic optimization method to estimate the tropical PCA using a Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) approach. This method performs well with simulation studies, and it is applied to three empirical datasets: Apicomplexa and African coelacanth genomes as well as sequences of hemagglutinin for influenza from New York.
On the central limit theorem for the two-sided descent statistics in Coxeter groups
In 2018, Kahle and Stump raised the following problem: identify sequences of finite Coxeter groups $W_n$ for which the two-sided descent statistics on a uniform random element of $W_n$ is asymptotically normal. Recently, Brück and Röttger provided an almost-complete answer, assuming some regularity condition on the sequence $W_n$. In this note, we provide a shorter proof of their result, which does not require any regularity condition. The main new proof ingredient is the use of the second Wasserstein distance on probability distributions, based on the work of Mallows (1972).
On sequences associated to the invariant theory of rank two simple Lie algebras
We study two families of sequences, listed in the On-Line Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences (OEIS), which are associated to invariant theory of Lie algebras. For the first family, we prove combinatorially that the sequences A059710 and A108307 are related by a binomial transform. Based on this, we present two independent proofs of a recurrence equation for A059710, which was conjectured by Mihailovs. Besides, we also give a direct proof of Mihailovs' conjecture by the method of algebraic residues. As a consequence, closed formulae for the generating function of sequence A059710 are obtained in terms of classical Gaussian hypergeometric functions. Moreover, we show that sequences in the second family are also related by binomial transforms.

We show that $Γ$-free fillings and lonesum fillings of Ferrers shapes are equinumerous by applying a previously defined bijection on matrices for this more general case and by constructing a new bijection between Callan sequences and Dumont-like permutations. As an application, we give a new combinatorial interpretation of Genocchi numbers in terms of Callan sequences. Further, we recover some of Hetyei's results on alternating acyclic tournaments. Finally, we present an interesting result in the case of certain other special shapes.
Depth First Exploration of a Configuration Model

We introduce an algorithm that constructs a random uniform graph with prescribed degree sequence together with a depth first exploration of it. In the so-called supercritical regime where the graph contains a giant component, we prove that the renormalized contour process of the Depth First Search Tree has a deterministic limiting profile that we identify. The proof goes through a detailed analysis of the evolution of the empirical degree distribution of unexplored vertices. This evolution is driven by an infinite system of differential equations which has a unique and explicit solution. As a byproduct, we deduce the existence of a macroscopic simple path and get a lower bound on its length.
The score sequences with unique tournament that has minimum number of upsets
Let $T$ be a tournament with nondecreasing score sequence $R$ and $A$ be its tournament matrix. An upset of $T$ corresponds to an entry above the main diagonal of $A$. Given a feasible score sequence $R$, Fulkerson~(1965) gave a simple recursive construction for a tournament with score sequence $R$ and the minimum number of upsets, and Hacioglu et al. (2019) provided a construction for all of such tournament matrices. Let $U_{\min}(R)$ denote the set of tournament matrices with score sequence $R$ that have minimum number of upsets. Brauldi and Li~(1983) characterized the strong score sequences $R$ ($R$ is strong if a tournament $T$ with score sequence $R$ is strongly connected) with $|U_{\min}(R)|=1$. In this article, we characterize all feasible score sequences $R$ with $|U_{\min}(R)|=1$ and give an explicit formula for the number of the feasible score sequences $R$ with $|U_{\min}(R)|=1$.

We introduce almost supplementary difference sets (ASDS). For odd $m$, certain ASDS in ${\mathbb Z}_m$ that have amicable incidence matrices are equivalent to quaternary sequences of odd length $m$ with optimal autocorrelation. As one consequence, if $2m-1$ is a prime power, or $m \equiv 1 \mod 4$ is prime, then ASDS of this kind exist. We also explore connections to optimal binary sequences and group cohomology.
