We study the space, $R_m$, of $m$-symmetric functions consisting of polynomials that are symmetric in the variables $x_{m+1},x_{m+2},x_{m+3},\dots$ but have no special symmetry in the variables $x_1,\dots,x_m$. We obtain $m$-symmetric Macdonald polynomials by $t$-symmetrizing non-symmetric Macdonald polynomials, and show that they form a basis of $R_m$. We define $m$-symmetric Schur functions through a somewhat complicated process involving their dual basis, tableaux combinatorics, and the Hecke algebra generators, and then prove some of their most elementary properties. We conjecture that the $m$-symmetric Macdonald polynomials (suitably normalized and plethystically modified) expand positively in terms of $m$-symmetric Schur functions. We obtain relations on the $(q,t)$-Koska coefficients $K_{ΩΛ}(q,t)$ in the $m$-symmetric world, and show in particular that the usual $(q,t)$-Koska coefficients are special cases of the $K_{ΩΛ}(q,t)$'s. Finally, we show that when $m$ is large, the positivity conjecture, modulo a certain subspace, becomes a positivity conjecture on the expansion of non-symmetric Macdonald polynomials in terms of non-symmetric Hall-Littlewood polynomials.

We establish a sharp estimate for $k$-additive energies of subsets of the discrete hypercube conjectured by de Dios Pont, Greenfeld, Ivanisvili, and Madrid in arXiv:2112.09352, which generalizes a result by Kane and Tao. This note proves the only missing ingredient, which is an elementary inequality for real numbers, previously verified only for $k\leq100$. We also give an interpretation of this inequality in terms of a lazy non-symmetric simple random walk on the integer lattice.
Algebraic Aspects of combined matrices
In this work, we present algebraic results concerning the combined matrices $\mathcal{C}(A)$, where the entries of $A$ belong to a number field $K$ and $A$ is a non-singular matrix. In other words, $A$ is a $n\times n$ matrix belonging to the General Linear Group over $K$, denoted by $\mathrm{GL}_n(K)$. We also analyze the case in which matrix $A$ belongs to algebraic subgroups of $\mathrm{GL}_n(K)$, such as the unimodular group, where $A^2$ is a $n\times n$ matrix belonging to the Special Linear Group, denoted by $\mathrm{SL}_n(K)$, triangular groups, diagonal groups, among others. In particular, we thouroughly examine the cases $n=2$ and $n=3$ for symmetric and non-symmetric matrices, providing explicit diagonalization of $\mathcal{C}(A)$, which includes characteristic polynomials with their eigenvalues and eigenfactors.
Sidon-Ramsey and $B_{h}$-Ramsey numbers

For a given positive integer $k$, the Sidon-Ramsey number $\SR(k)$ is defined as the minimum value of $n$ such that, in every partition of the set $[1, n]$ into $k$ parts, there exists a part that contains two distinct pairs of numbers with the same sum. In other words, there is a part that is not a Sidon set. In this paper, we investigate the asymptotic behavior of this parameter and two generalizations of it. The first generalization involves replacing pairs of numbers with $h$-tuples, such that in every partition of $[1, n]$ into $k$ parts, there exists a part that contains two distinct $h$-tuples with the same sum. Alternatively, there is a part that is not a $B_h$ set. The second generalization considers the scenario where the interval $[1, n]$ is substituted with a non-necessarily symmetric $d$-dimensional box of the form $\prod_{i=1}^d[1,n_i]$. For the general case of $h\geq 3$ and non-symmetric boxes, before applying our method to obtain the Ramsey-type result, we needed to establish an upper bound for the corresponding density parameter.
Extended double covers of non-symmetric association schemes of class $2$
In this paper, we give a method to construct non-symmetric association schemes of class $3$ from non-symmetric association schemes of class $2$. This construction is a non-symmetric analogue of the construction of Taylor graphs as an antipodal double cover of a complete graph. We also mention how our construction interact with doubling introduced by Pasechnik.

Two operads are said to belong to the same Wilf class if they have the same generating series. We discuss possible Wilf classifications of non-symmetric operads with monomial relations. As a corollary, this would give the same classification for the operads with a finite Groebner basis.
Generally, there is no algorithm to decide whether two finitely presented operads belong to the same Wilf class. Still, we show that if an operad has a finite Groebner basis, then the monomial basis of the operad forms an unambiguous context-free language. Moreover, we discuss the deterministic grammar which defines the language. The generating series of the operad can be obtained as a result of an algorithmic elimination of variables from the algebraic system of equations defined by the Chomsky--Schutzenberger enumeration theorem. We then focus on the case of binary operads with a single relation. The approach is based on the results by Rowland on pattern avoidance in binary trees. We improve and refine Rowland's calculations and empirically confirm his conjecture. Here we use both the algebraic elimination and the direct calculation of formal power series from algebraic systems of equations. Finally, we discuss the connection of Wilf classes with algorithms for the Quillen homology of operads calculation.
Interpolation polynomials, bar monomials, and their positivity

We prove a positivity result for interpolation polynomials that was conjectured by Knop and Sahi. These polynomials were first introduced by Sahi in the context of the Capelli eigenvalue problem for Jordan algebras, and were later shown to be related to Jack polynomials by Knop-Sahi and Okounkov-Olshanski. The positivity result proved here is an inhomogeneous generalization of Macdonald's positivity conjecture for Jack polynomials. We also formulate and prove the non-symmetric version of the Knop-Sahi conjecture, and in fact we deduce everything from an even stronger positivity result. This last result concerns certain inhomogeneous analogues of ordinary monomials that we call bar monomials. Their positivity involves in an essential way a new partial order on compositions that we call the bar order, and a new operation that we call a glissade.
A Shuffle Theorem for Paths Under Any Line

We generalize the shuffle theorem and its $(km,kn)$ version, as conjectured by Haglund et al. and Bergeron et al., and proven by Carlsson and Mellit, and Mellit, respectively. In our version the $(km,kn)$ Dyck paths on the combinatorial side are replaced by lattice paths lying under a line segment whose $x$ and $y$ intercepts need not be integers, and the algebraic side is given either by a Schiffmann algebra operator formula or an equivalent explicit raising operator formula.
We derive our combinatorial identity as the polynomial truncation of an identity of infinite series of $GL_{l}$ characters, expressed in terms of infinite series versions of LLT polynomials. The series identity in question follows from a Cauchy identity for non-symmetric Hall-Littlewood polynomials.
Non-symmetric class $2$ association schemes obtained by doubling of skew-Hadamard matrices are non-schurian
We can obtain a non-symmetric class $2$ association scheme by a skew-Hadamard matrix. We begin with a skew-Hadamard matrix of order $n$, construct a skew-Hadamard matrix of order $2n$ by doubling construction, and a non-symmetric class $2$ association scheme of order $2n-1$. We will show that the association scheme obtained in this way never be schurian if $n$ is greater than or equal to $8$.
Gysin morphisms for non-transversal hyperplane sections with an application to line arrangements
We prove the existence of Gysin morphisms for hyperplane sections that may not satisfy the usual hypotheses of the Lefschetz hyperplane theorem. As an application, we show the triviality of the Alexander polynomial of a particular class of non-symmetric line arrangements, thus providing positive evidence for a conjecture of Papadima and Suciu.

We construct a pair of non-commutative rank 8 association schemes from a rank 3 non-symmetric association scheme. For the pair, two association schemes have the same character table but different Frobenius-Schur indicators. This situation is similar to the pair of the dihedral group and the quaternion group of order 8. We also determine the structures of adjacency algebras of them over the rational number field.
Primitive weakly distance-regular circulant digraphs
We classify certain non-symmetric commutative association schemes. As an application, we determine all the primitive weakly distance-regular circulant digraphs.

When $λ$ is a partition, the specialized non-symmetric Macdonald polynomial $E_λ(x;q;0)$ is symmetric and related to a modified Hall--Littlewood polynomial. We show that whenever all parts of the integer partition $λ$ is a multiple of $n$, the underlying set of fillings exhibit the cyclic sieving phenomenon (CSP) under a cyclic shift of the columns. The corresponding CSP polynomial is given by $E_λ(x;q;0)$. In addition, we prove a refined cyclic sieving phenomenon where the content of the fillings is fixed. This refinement is closely related to an earlier result by B.~Rhoades.
We also introduce a skew version of $E_λ(x;q;0)$. We show that these are symmetric and Schur-positive via a variant of the Robinson--Schenstedt--Knuth correspondence and we also describe crystal raising- and lowering operators for the underlying fillings. Moreover, we show that the skew specialized non-symmetric Macdonald polynomials are in some cases vertical-strip LLT polynomials. As a consequence, we get a combinatorial Schur expansion of a new family of LLT polynomials.
Quadratic Cyclic Sequences

We explore relations between cyclic sequences determined by a quadratic difference relation, cyclotomic polynomials, Eulerian digraphs and walks in the plane. These walks correspond to closed paths for which at each step one must turn either left or right through a fixed angle. In the case when this angle is $2 π/n$, then non-symmetric phenomena occurs for $n\geq 12$. Examples arise from algebraic numbers of modulus one which are not $n$'th roots of unity.

This paper determined all pairs $(\mathcal{D},G)$ where $\mathcal{D}$ is a non-symmetric 2-$(v,k,λ)$ design with $(r,λ)=1$ and $G$ is the almost simple flag-transitive automorphism group of $\mathcal{D}$ with an exceptional socle of Lie type. We prove that if $T\trianglelefteq G\leq Aut(T)$ where $T$ is an exceptional group of Lie type, then $T$ must be the Ree group or Suzuki group, and there are five classes of non-isomorphic designs $\mathcal{D}$.
Operads of (noncrossing) partitions, interacting bialgebras, and moment-cumulant relations

We establish and explore a relationship between two approaches to moment-cumulant relations in free probability theory: on one side the main approach, due to Speicher, given in terms of Möbius inversion on the lattice of noncrossing partitions, and on the other side the more recent non-commutative shuffle-algebra approach, where the moment-cumulant relations take the form of certain exponential-logarithm relations. We achieve this by exhibiting two operad structures on (noncrossing) partitions, different in nature: one is an ordinary, non-symmetric operad whose composition law is given by insertion into gaps between elements, the other is a coloured, symmetric operad with composition law expressing refinement of blocks. We show that these operad structures interact so as to make the corresponding incidence bialgebra of the former a comodule bialgebra for the latter. Furthermore, this interaction is compatible with the shuffle structure and thus unveils how the two approaches are intertwined. Moreover, the constructions and results are general enough to extend to ordinary set partitions.
Combinatorial homotopy theory for operads
We introduce an explicit combinatorial characterization of the minimal model ${\cal O}_{\infty}$ of the coloured operad ${\cal O}$ encoding non-symmetric operads. In our description of ${\cal O}_{\infty}$, the spaces of operations are defined in terms of hypergraph polytopes and the composition structure generalizes the one of the $A_{\infty}$-operad. As further generalizations of this construction, we present a combinatorial description of the $W$-construction applied on ${\cal O}$, as well as of the minimal model of the coloured operad ${\cal C}$ encoding non-symmetric cyclic operads.
A simplicial complex spliting associativity
We introduce a simplicial object $(\{ \Dy^m\}_{m\geq 0}, {\mathbb F}_i, {\mathbb S}_j)$ in the category of non-symmetric algebraic operads, satisfying that $\Dy^0$ is the operad of associative algebras and $\Dy^1$ is J.-L. Loday\rq s operad of dendriform algebras. The dimensions of the operad $\Dy^m$ are given by the Fuss-Catalan numbers.
Given a family of partially ordered sets ${\bold P}=\{P_n\}_{n\geq 1}$ we show that, under certain conditions, the vector space spanned by the set of $m$-simpleces of ${\bold P}$ is a $\Dy^m$ algebra. This construction, applied to certain combinatorial Hopf algebras, whose associative product comes from a dendriform structure, provides examples of $\Dy^m$ algebras.
An algorithmic search for $\mathcal{A}$-annihilated classes in the Dyer-Lashof algebra and $H_*QS^0$ I. Closed form for low lengths and tables in low dimensions
The aim of this work is to publicise some computational results involving tables which contain $\mathcal{A}$-annihilated monomials, excluding square classes, in the Dyer-Lashof algebra and $H_*QS^0$; our computations go up to dimension $1.1\times 10^7$ but the tables in this paper only announce results up to dimension $2^{17}=131072$ and full tables would be available upon request. The theoretical background for our computations is provided by work of Curtis \cite{Curtis} and Wellington \cite{Wellington} on the $\mathcal{A}$-module structure of the Dyer-Lashof algebra as well as $H_*QS^0$. It seems to us that there is a workable algorithm to do these computations which we plan to announce in a future work, partly to avoid making this paper longer than it is. We hope to receive feedback from the experts on these computations and make our algorithm available as soon as we can. We hope that these tables provide a source for researchers in the field, as well as a pool of data to analyse the behaviour of these sequences, their distributions and other asymptotic behaviours. The problem of computing spherical classes in $H_*QS^0$ as well as the symmetric and non-symmetric hit problems have been our main motivations to pursue this project.

We discuss the Grassmann graph $J_q(N,D)$ with $N \geq 2D$, having as vertices the $D$-dimensional subspaces of an $N$-dimensional vector space over the finite field $\mathbb{F}_q$. This graph is distance-regular with diameter $D$; to avoid trivialities we assume $D\geq 3$. Fix a pair of a Delsarte clique $C$ of $J_q(N,D)$ and a vertex $x$ in $C$. We construct a $2D$-dimensional irreducible module $\mathbf{W}$ for the Terwilliger algebra $\mathbf{T}$ of $J_q(N,D)$ associated with the pair $x$, $C$. We show that $\mathbf{W}$ is an irreducible module for the confluent Cherednik algebra $\mathcal{H}_\mathrm{V}$ and describe how the $\mathbf{T}$-action on $\mathbf{W}$ is related to the $\mathcal{H}_\mathrm{V}$-action on $\mathbf{W}$. Using the $\mathcal{H}_\mathrm{V}$-module $\mathbf{W}$, we define non-symmetric dual $q$-Hahn polynomials and prove their recurrence and orthogonality relations from a combinatorial viewpoint.
