The conflated expression graph for an arbitrary permutation
We show that the conflated expression graph for an arbitrary permutation has a unique minimal element and a unique maximal element, and every reduced expression sits on a maximal chain from the source to the sink. This generalizes the work of Manin-Schechtman regarding higher Bruhat orders, and gives an independent and self-contained proof of certain results in Hothem. In addition, we give explicit algorithms for elements in the top and bottom commutation classes. Given any reduced expression $ρ$, we give an explicit method for producing a maximal chain containing $ρ$.

AHA! RSK
We give a spectral realization of the Robinson-Schensted-Knuth (RSK) correspondence in terms of the representation theory of the symmetric group $S_n$ and the degenerate affine Hecke algebra (AHA) $H_n$. We view RSK, which builds a pair of standard Young tableaux from a permutation, as a special case of rectification, also known as Jeu de Taquin, which turns skew tableaux into straight ones. In this framing, the initial permutation corresponds to a skew tableau of staircase shape. To interpret this in terms of representation theory, take permutations to label weight vectors in a generic $H_n$-module $V(a_1, \ldots , a_n)$, which is isomorphic to $\mathbb{C}[S_n]$ as an $S_n$-module. Writing permutations as staircases amounts to placing these weight vectors inside the regular representation of a larger symmetric group containing $S_n$; more geometrically, we push $S_n$ to the right toward infinity so its Jucys-Murphy (JM) elements have enough room to represent the external translations of $H_n$. Then, rectification corresponds to squeezing out this extra room from the left, leaving only $S_n$ and its regular JM elements as the limit of the external translations. By expressing slides via sequences of exchanges of consecutive values inside the tableau, we can model rectification by an operator acting on the regular representation. This lets us explicitly write down the change of basis between $H_n$-weight vectors and $S_n$-weight vectors, where the latter are eigenvectors of the JM elements in $S_n$ acting both on the left and on the right, and hence labeled by pairs of standard tableaux. The resulting correspondence between the labels of the weight vectors is exactly RSK.

A higher homological approach to the $q$-characters of representations of quantum affine algebras
For any acyclic quiver $Q$ without multiple edges, we construct a monoidal category $\mathcal{R}_Q$ whose indecomposable objects are tensor products (over the base field) of finite-dimensional modules over the path algebra of $Q$. We show the existence and uniqueness up to homotopy of certain distinguished chain complexes satisfying good homological properties (higher almost split complexes) preserved under tensoring by objects in $\mathcal{R}_Q$. As a crucial ingredient for this construction, we establish the existence of a family of complete exceptional sequences in $\mathrm{mod}\,\mathbf{k}Q$ satisfying many good properties, which we believe might be of independent interest. We then prove that when $Q$ admits a height function, the Euler characteristics of (the images under certain additive functor of) these complexes coincide with the truncated $q$-characters of the standard modules in Hernandez-Leclerc's category $\mathcal{C}^{(1)}$. Applying our results to the case where the underlying graph of $Q$ is a Dynkin diagram of type $A_n, n \geq 1$, we also interpret the cluster characters of all cluster variables in the finite type cluster algebra $\mathcal{A}_Q$ as Euler characteristics of certain chain complexes in $\mathcal{R}_Q$.

Cutoff profiles for conjugacy invariant random walks on symmetric groups
We prove asymptotic equivalents for finite-level representations of symmetric groups, that is, for Young diagrams having all but finitely many boxes on their first row. We deduce that random walks on symmetric groups generated by conjugacy classes with a macroscopic number of fixed points have a Poissonian cutoff profile. We also prove that the random involution walk exhibits cutoff and find its cutoff profile. Finally, we obtain numerics for the random transposition walk on a deck of 52 cards, giving concrete estimates on the question that originally motivated Diaconis and Shahshahani.

Motivic Segre classes of Schubert cells and the connective formal group law
We use the connective formal group law to define a one-parameter ($β$-)deformation of the motivic Segre classes of Schubert cells in the $d$-step flag variety. This $β$-deformation specializes to the motivic Segre classes of Schubert cells when $β=1$ and to the Segre-Schwartz-MacPherson classes of Schubert cells when $β=0$. We define rational function representatives for the $β$-deformed classes in the $d=1$ case in terms of a solvable lattice model, and we prove a combinatorial formula for the structure constants in the $β$-deformed basis in the $d=1$ case using Knutson-Tao puzzles. The proof of the puzzle formula involves intertwiners for representations of the multi-parameter quantum group of type $\widehat{a}_2$. We show that our $β$-deformations can be viewed as quotients of canonical elements in a quotient of the equivariant algebraic cobordism ring of the cotangent bundle of the flag variety by proving that the canonical elements satisfy a GKM type condition.
Locally anti-blocking $\mathbf{g}$-polytopes for flow polytopes
Given an acyclic directed graph (DAG), the space of strength one flows is a lattice polytope called the flow polytope of the DAG. If the DAG admits an ample framing, then the flow polytope is Gorenstein and it linearly projects onto a reflexive polytope called the $\mathbf{g}$-polytope. We provide a combinatorial characterization of amply framed DAGs that have a locally anti-blocking $\mathbf{g}$-polytope, and we characterize the minimal faces of the $\mathbf{g}$-polytope containing a fixed pair of vertices. We prove in this case that the unimodular triangulation of the $\mathbf{g}$-polytope induced by the DKK triangulation of the flow polytope is a pulling triangulation, and we characterize the pulling orders that yield the DKK triangulation. To prove our results, we introduce and study coherence diagrams, a combinatorial model of coherence for amply framed DAGs with locally anti-blocking $\mathbf{g}$-polytopes. We conclude by indicating possible extensions of these results to the setting of $\mathbf{g}$-polytopes for gentle Nakayama algebras.

Relations between categorifications of higher-dimensional type $A$ cluster combinatorics
We consider three categories arising from the higher Auslander algebras of type $A$ in relation to $d$-dimensional cluster combinatorics: $d$-exact subcategory of the module category of $A^d_{n+1}$ generated by the $d$-cluster-tilting object, the $(d+2)$-angulated cluster category, and the $d$-almost positive subcategory of the derived category (the higher analogue of the category of two-term complexes of projectives). We show that the third one, introduced by the second-named author, is the $d$-exangulated quotient of the other two, introduced by Oppermann and Thomas, by the ideals generated by morphisms factoring through morphisms from injective to projective objects, thus providing an algebraic connection between the two models of Oppermann-Thomas. This is a $d$-exangulated version in type $A$ of a result of Brüstle and Yang and its interpretation by the first-named author together with Fang, Palu, Plamondon and Pressland. It also explains a well-known coincidence between the number of 2-term silting complexes in type $A_{n}$ and of tilting modules in type $A_{n+1}$ from the $0$-Auslander perspective. We expect this to serve as a prototypical example of the $0$-Auslander correspondence in higher homological algebra.

On the Common Generalization of Gentle Algebras and Framed Directed Acyclic Graphs
In the study of flow polytopes, a directed acyclic graph (DAG) with a choice of framing gives a regular unimodular triangulation on its space of unit nonnegative flows. In representation theory, a gentle algebra has recently been equipped with a space of unit flows admitting triangulation and subdivision results capturing its tau-tilting theory. These theories from different areas of mathematics overlap: flows on gently framed DAGs are the same as flows on paired representation-finite gentle algebras. In this article we develop the common generalization of these two theories by defining (framed) turbulence charts, which may be thought of as analogs of (framed) DAGs without the conditions of (D)irectedness and (A)cyclicity. The space of unit flows on a turbulence chart is its turbulence polyhedron. We give presentation, subdivision, and triangulation results on turbulence polyhedra which restrict to known results in the settings of framed DAGs and gentle algebras.

Universality theorems for generalized splines
We study generalized splines from the perspective of the representation theory of the category of graphs with contractions. Our main theorem proves a kind of finite generation, which in turn implies the existence of a ``universal generating set'' for the module of splines over any graph with fixed combinatorial genus. This theorem holds over any Noetherian commutative ring with a chosen finite list of ideals for edge-labels. We then give several applications of this theorem, including showing that a particular generating function associated to splines on trees is algebraic when the base ring satisfies certain finiteness conditions. We illustrate our technical theorems explicitly by giving a classification of splines on graphs with combinatorial genus one and two.
Complex Representations of Groups and Involutions of its Automorphisms
In this work, we establish a relationship between the sum of irreducible character degrees and the number of twisted involutions associated with the automorphisms of a finite group. We develop algorithmic frameworks for evaluating these quantities in the context of inner automorphisms and the symmetric group $\mathfrak{S}_n$. As an application, we provide a criterion for identifying groups that possess complex (non-real) irreducible representations and explore the structural consequences arising from these results.

Categorical Lusztig cycles and weave schobers
We establish the foundations of categorical weave calculus, developing the diagrammatic calculus of weaves and braid varieties within the study of Calabi-Yau triangulated categories and cluster tilting theory. This is achieved by associating a perverse sheaf of triangulated categories to each Demazure weave. A central contribution is the construction and study of the categorical Lusztig cycles and their duals, which we show form simple-minded and silting collections in the category of global sections of such a sheaf of categories. These categorical collections are built using the diagrammatics of weaves and we study their behavior under changes of weaves. For instance, we show that they undergo tilts under weave mutations. En route, we develop the study of categorical weighted braid words, as canonical rigid filtered dg modules over derived preprojective algebras, and the categorical incarnation of the tropical Lusztig rules, as a gluing mechanism for such filtered objects. Appendix A contains homological results, providing a novel construction of simple-minded and silting collections from full exceptional collections, and characterizing when these arise from a highest weight structure on an abelian category.

The Finite Length Property of the Rado Graph and Friends
An infinite structure has the finite length property (over a given field) if, for each of its finite powers, chains of equivariant subspaces in the corresponding free vector space are bounded in length. Prior work showed that the countable pure set and the countable dense linear order without endpoints have this property. We generalise these results to (a) any structure approximated by finite substructures with few orbits, provided the field is of characteristic zero, and (b) any Fraïssé limit with free amalgamation in a finite vocabulary consisting of unary and binary relations, possibly expanded with a generic total order. As a special case, we deduce the finite length property of the Rado graph using both methods. We also describe some connections with function spaces, weighted register automata, and orbit-finite systems of linear equations.

Dual Affine Robinson-Schensted Correspondence
We introduce the dual affine Robinson-Schensted correspondence that gives a bijection between the extended affine symmetric group and tuples $(\bar{P},\bar{Q},λ,N)$, where $\bar{P}$ and $\bar{Q}$ are tabloids, $λ$ is a partition, and $N$ is an integer, subject to compatibility conditions. The construction generalizes Fomin's growth diagrams and Viennot's shadow lines for the classical Robinson-Schensted correspondence on the symmetric group, and is dual to the affine matrix ball construction as well as Shi's correspondence, in the sense that the $P$-tabloids are the same, and the $Q$-tabloids are related by affine evacuation. As a consequence, our construction also parametrizes Kazhdan-Lusztig cells in affine type $A$. We conjecture that the growth diagrams we construct admit a natural geometric realization in terms of relative positions of affine flags, similar to the interpretation given by Steinberg and van Leeuwen in the classical case.
A categorification of Kauffman states for planar graphs
Given a decorated planar graph $(G,ω)$, where $G$ is a planar graph and $ω\in H^1(|\mathcal{Q}G|,\mathbb{Z})$ with $\mathcal{Q}G$ the directed medial graph of $G$, we call some angular functions $ω$-compatible and study two distinct but related directed graphs: $\mathcal{L}(G,ω)$, which is the directed graph of such functions, and $BMS(G,ω)$, the directed graph of BMS states which are some pairs of $ω$-compatible functions plus additional data. We give sufficient conditions for $\mathcal{L}(G,ω)$ to be a graded distributive lattice, recovering Kauffman's Clock Theorem when $G$ is a knot diagram. We also define a potential on $\mathcal{Q} G$ and associate a representation of the corresponding quiver with potential to every BMS state. Under suitable assumptions, this construction yields an isomorphism between $\mathcal{L}(G,ω)$ and the lattice of subrepresentations of a maximal representation, generalizing a result of Bazier-Matte--Schiffler.

Haiman's Conjecture and Springer's Representations
For any connected complex reductive group $G$ and element $z$ of its Weyl group $W$, we use work of Lusztig and Abreu-Nigro to compute the graded $W$-character of the intersection cohomology of any closed Lusztig variety for $z$ over the regular semisimple locus of $G$. We relate the resulting formula to unipotent Lusztig varieties, giving a new geometric model for unicellular LLT polynomials. We then consider Laurent polynomials $α_{ψ, G}^z$ indexed by irreducible characters $ψ$, encoding how our formula decomposes into ungraded characters arising from the Springer theory of $G$. From evidence in low rank, we conjecture that if $ψ$ is inflated from type $A$ in a particular way, then the nonzero coefficients of $α_{ψ, G}^z$ are positive and unimodal. This offers an answer to a 1993 question of Haiman about generalizing a conjecture he posed for symmetric groups. We also prove that the matrix formed by the $α_{ψ, G}^z$ is partially triangular, and that their positivity and unimodality properties are stable under inclusions of Levi subgroups.

Recursive structures of molecules and cells in Gelfand $S_n$-graphs
$W$-graphs, representing the multiplication action of the standard basis on the canonical basis in the Iwahori-Hecke algebra are introduced by Kazhdan and Lusztig. Marberg defined a generalized $W$-graph, the Gelfand W-graph, corresponding to the Hecke algebra modules instead of Hecke algebras. To classify the molecules and cells of the Gelfand $S_n$-graphs, in this paper, we introduce a recursive structure of $S_n$ and then discuss the action of the recursive structure on the molecules. Using this struction, we show that a specific molecule is indeed a cell.

Multicritical Scaling Limit of Shifted Schur Measure
We investigate the multicritical scaling limit of the shifted Schur measures. Under an appropriate scaling limit and specific conditions on the continuous parameters, we explicitly determine the limit shape of strict partitions distributed according to the shifted Schur measure. We then show that, under a multicritical condition, the edge scaling limit of the correlation function converges to a determinant of the higher-order Airy kernel. This rigorously demonstrates a transition from a Pfaffian point process to a determinantal distribution in the scaling limit.

Anchored Dyck Paths

Chains of affine standard Lyndon words
In this note, we establish the periodicity of chains of affine standard Lyndon words in all types and determine tight bounds on that periodicity, greatly generalizing the $A$-type results of arXiv:2305.16299. Our approach crucially utilizes the convexity and monotonicity of arXiv:2505.15432 together with the new idea to consider the polarization of the root system given by increasing and decreasing chains.

Complete simplicial fans, Stanley--Reisner rings, and equivariant h-polynomials
We derive a graded character formula for the action of any finite group on the Artinian reduction of the Stanley--Reisner ring of any complete simplicial fan, which is given by an equivariant version of the classical h-polynomial. This gives the graded character formula for the representation of the group on the cohomology of the associated toric variety when the fan is rational. As an application, we use a navel tool, which we called hybrid fan, to compute the Poincaré polynomial of the invariants of the Artinian reduction of the Stanley--Reisner ring of any complete simplicial fan under a finite reflection group action. This implies that the Poincaré polynomial of the quotient of a compact toric orbifold by any finite reflection group is equal to the Poincaré polynomial of the compact toric orbifold associated to the hybrid fan.
