The superspace ring $Ω_n$ is a rank $n$ polynomial ring tensor a rank $n$ exterior algebra. Using an extension of the Vandermonde determinant to $Ω_n$, the authors previously defined a family of doubly graded quotients $\mathbb{W}_{n,k}$ of $Ω_n$ which carry an action of the symmetric group $\mathfrak{S}_n$ and satisfy a bigraded version of Poincaré Duality. In this paper, we examine the duality modules $\mathbb{W}_{n,k}$ in greater detail. We describe a monomial basis of $\mathbb{W}_{n,k}$ and give combinatorial formulas for its bigraded Hilbert and Frobenius series. These formulas involve new combinatorial objects called {\em ordered superpartitions}. These are ordered set partitions $(B_1 \mid \cdots \mid B_k)$ of $\{1,\dots,n\}$ in which the non-minimal elements of any block $B_i$ may be barred or unbarred.

Motivated by the study of Macdonald polynomials, J. Haglund and A. Wilson introduced a nonsymmetric polynomial analogue of the chromatic quasisymmetric function called the \emph{chromatic nonsymmetric polynomial} of a Dyck graph. We give a positive expansion for this polynomial in the basis of fundamental slide polynomials using recent work of Assaf-Bergeron on flagged $(P,ρ)$-partitions. We then derive the known expansion for the chromatic quasisymmetric function of Dyck graphs in terms of Gessel's fundamental basis by taking a backstable limit of our expansion.

The Shuffle Theorem of Carlsson and Mellit gives a combinatorial expression for the bigraded Frobenius characteristic of the ring of diagonal harmonics, and the Delta Conjecture of Haglund, Remmel and the second author provides two generalizations of the Shuffle Theorem to the delta operator expression $Δ'_{e_k} e_n$. Haglund et al. also propose the Extended Delta Conjecture for the delta operator expression $Δ'_{e_k} Δ_{h_r}e_n$, which is analogous to the rise version of the Delta Conjecture. Recently, D'Adderio, Iraci and Wyngaerd proved the rise version of the Extended Delta Conjecture at the case when $t=0$. In this paper, we propose a new valley version of the Extended Delta Conjecture. Then, we work on the combinatorics of extended ordered multiset partitions to prove that the two conjectures for $Δ'_{e_k} Δ_{h_r}e_n$ are equivalent when $t$ or $q$ equals 0, thus proving the valley version of the Extended Delta Conjecture when $t$ or $q$ equals 0.
Vandermondes in superspace
Superspace of rank $n$ is a $\mathbb{Q}$-algebra with $n$ commuting generators $x_1, \dots, x_n$ and $n$ anticommuting generators $θ_1, \dots, θ_n$. We present an extension of the Vandermonde determinant to superspace which depends on a sequence $\mathbf{a} = (a_1, \dots, a_r)$ of nonnegative integers of length $r \leq n$. We use superspace Vandermondes to construct graded representations of the symmetric group. This construction recovers hook-shaped Tanisaki quotients, the coinvariant ring for the Delta Conjecture constructed by Haglund, Rhoades, and Shimozono, and a superspace quotient related to positroids and Chern plethysm constructed by Billey, Rhoades, and Tewari. We define a notion of partial differentiation with respect to anticommuting variables to construct doubly graded modules from superspace Vandermondes. These doubly graded modules carry a natural ring structure which satisfies a 2-dimensional version of Poincaré duality. The application of polarization operators gives rise to other bigraded modules which give a conjectural module for the symmetric function $Δ'_{e_{k-1}} e_n$ appearing in the Delta Conjecture of Haglund, Remmel, and Wilson.

A set partition of $[n] := \{1, 2, \dots, n \}$ is called {\em $r$-Stirling} if the numbers $1, 2, \dots, r$ belong to distinct blocks. Haglund, Rhoades, and Shimozono constructed graded ring $R_{n,k}$ depending on two positive integers $k \leq n$ whose algebraic properties are governed by the combinatorics of ordered set partitions of $[n]$ with $k$ blocks. We introduce a variant $R_{n,k}^{(r)}$ of this quotient for ordered $r$-Stirling partitions which depends on three integers $r \leq k \leq n$. We describe the standard monomial basis of $R_{n,k}^{(r)}$ and use the combinatorial notion of the {\em coinversion code} of an ordered set partition to reprove and generalize some results of Haglund et.\ al.\ in a more direct way. Furthermore, we introduce a variety $X_{n,k}^{(r)}$ of line arrangements whose cohomology is presented as the integral form of $R_{n,k}^{(r)}$, generalizing results of Pawlowski and Rhoades.

Let $n,k,$ and $r$ be nonnegative integers and let $S_n$ be the symmetric group. We introduce a quotient $R_{n,k,r}$ of the polynomial ring $\mathbb{Q}[x_1, \dots, x_n]$ in $n$ variables which carries the structure of a graded $S_n$-module. When $r \geq n$ or $k = 0$ the quotient $R_{n,k,r}$ reduces to the classical coinvariant algebra $R_n$ attached to the symmetric group. Just as algebraic properties of $R_n$ are controlled by combinatorial properties of permutations in $S_n$, the algebra of $R_{n,k,r}$ is controlled by the combinatorics of objects called {\em tail positive words}. We calculate the standard monomial basis of $R_{n,k,r}$ and its graded $S_n$-isomorphism type. We also view $R_{n,k,r}$ as a module over the 0-Hecke algebra $H_n(0)$, prove that $R_{n,k,r}$ is a projective 0-Hecke module, and calculate its quasisymmetric and nonsymmetric 0-Hecke characteristics. We conjecture a relationship between our quotient $R_{n,k,r}$ and the delta operators of the theory of Macdonald polynomials.

We express the integral form Macdonald polynomials as a weighted sum of Shareshian and Wachs' chromatic quasisymmetric functions of certain graphs. Then we use known expansions of these chromatic quasisymmetric functions into Schur and power sum symmetric functions to provide Schur and power sum formulas for the integral form Macdonald polynomials. Since the (integral form) Jack polynomials are a specialization of integral form Macdonald polynomials, we obtain analogous formulas for Jack polynomials as corollaries.

In recent work, Elias and Hogancamp develop a recurrence for the Poincaré series of the triply graded Hochschild homology of certain links, one of which is the $(n,n)$ torus link. In this case, Elias and Hogancamp give a combinatorial formula for this homology that is reminiscent of the combinatorics of the modified Macdonald polynomial eigenoperator $\nabla$. We give a combinatorial formula for the homologies of all links considered by Elias and Hogancamp. Our first formula is not easily computable, so we show how to transform it into a computable version. Finally, we conjecture a direct relationship between the $(n,n)$ torus link case of our formula and the symmetric function $\nabla p_{1^n}$.
A weighted sum over generalized Tesler matrices

We generalize previous definitions of Tesler matrices to allow negative matrix entries and negative hook sums. Our main result is an algebraic interpretation of a certain weighted sum over these matrices, which we call the Tesler function. Our interpretation uses a new class of symmetric function specializations which are defined by their values on Macdonald polynomials. As a result of this interpretation, we obtain a Tesler function expression for the Hall inner product $\langle Δ_f e_n, p_{1^{n}}\rangle$, where $Δ_f$ is the delta operator introduced by Bergeron, Garsia, Haiman, and Tesler. We also provide simple formulas for various special cases of Tesler functions which involve $q,t$-binomial coefficients, ordered set partitions, and parking functions. These formulas prove two cases of the recent Delta Conjecture posed by Haglund, Remmel, and the author.

We conjecture two combinatorial interpretations for the symmetric function $Δ_{e_k} e_n$, where $Δ_f$ is an eigenoperator for the modified Macdonald polynomials defined by Bergeron, Garsia, Haiman, and Tesler. Both interpretations can be seen as generalizations of the Shuffle Conjecture of Haglund, Haiman, Remmel, Loehr, and Ulyanov, which was proved recently by Carlsson and Mellit. We show how previous work of the third author on Tesler matrices and ordered set partitions can be used to verify several cases of our conjectures. Furthermore, we use a reciprocity identity and LLT polynomials to prove another case. Finally, we show how our conjectures inspire 4-variable generalizations of the Catalan numbers, extending work of Garsia, Haiman, and the first author.
An extension of MacMahon's Equidistribution Theorem to ordered multiset partitions

A classical result of MacMahon states that inversion number and major index have the same distribution over permutations of a given multiset. In this work we prove a strengthening of this theorem originally conjectured by Haglund. Our result can be seen as an equidistribution theorem over the ordered partitions of a multiset into sets, which we call ordered multiset partitions. Our proof is bijective and involves a new generalization of Carlitz's insertion method. This generalization leads to a new extension of Macdonald polynomials for hook shapes. We use our main theorem to show that these polynomials are symmetric and we give their Schur expansion.

We prove a conjecture of Haglund which can be seen as an extension of the equidistribution of the inversion number and the major index over permutations to ordered set partitions. Haglund's conjecture implicitly defines two statistics on ordered set partitions and states that they are equidistributed. The implied inversion statistic is equivalent to a statistic on ordered set partitions studied by Steingrímsson, Ishikawa, Kasraoui, and Zeng, and is known to have a nice distribution in terms of $q$-Stirling numbers. The resulting major index exhibits a combinatorial relationship between $q$-Stirling numbers and the Euler-Mahonian distribution on the symmetric group, solving a problem posed by Steingrímsson.

We introduce and study a new notion of patterns in Stirling and $k$-Stirling permutations, which we call block patterns. We prove a general result which allows us to compute generating functions for the occurrences of various block patterns in terms of generating functions for the occurrences of patterns in permutations. This result yields a number of applications involving, among other things, Wilf equivalence of block patterns and a new interpretation of Bessel polynomials. We also show how to interpret our results for a certain class of labeled trees, which are in bijection with Stirling permutations.

The {\sf Shi hyperplane arrangement} Shi(n) was introduced by Shi to study the Kazhdan-Lusztig cellular structure of the affine symmetric group. The {\sf Ish hyperplane arrangement} Ish(n) was introduced by Armstrong in the study of diagonal harmonics. Armstrong and Rhoades discovered a deep combinatorial similarity between the Shi and Ish arrangements. We solve a collection of problems posed by Armstrong and Armstrong-Rhoades by giving bijections between regions of Shi(n) and Ish(n) which preserve certain statistics. Our bijections generalize to the `deleted arrangements' Shi(G) and Ish(G) which depend on a subgraph G of the complete graph K_n on n vertices. The key tools in our bijections are the introduction of an Ish analog of parking functions called {\sf rook words} and a new instance of the cycle lemma of enumerative combinatorics.
