Enhanced Power Graphs of Finite Groups
The enhanced power graph $\mathcal G_e(\mathbf G)$ of a group $\mathbf G$ is the graph with vertex set $G$ such that two vertices $x$ and $y$ are adjacent if they are contained in a same cyclic subgroup. We prove that finite groups with isomorphic enhanced power graphs have isomorphic directed power graphs. We show that any isomorphism between power graphs of finite groups is an isomorhism between enhanced power graphs of these groups, and we find all finite groups $\mathbf G$ for which $\mathrm{Aut}(\mathcal G_e(\mathbf G)$ is abelian, all finite groups $\mathbf G$ with $\lvert\mathrm{Aut}(\mathcal G_e(\mathbf G)\rvert$ being prime power, and all finite groups $\mathbf G$ with $\lvert\mathrm{Aut}(\mathcal G_e(\mathbf G)\rvert$ being square free. Also we describe enhanced power graphs of finite abelian groups. Finally, we give a characterization of finite nilpotent groups whose enhanced power graphs are perfect, and we present a sufficient condition for a finite group to have weakly perfect enhanced power graph.
Crystal constructions in Number Theory
Weyl group multiple Dirichlet series and metaplectic Whittaker functions can be described in terms of crystal graphs. We present crystals as parameterized by Littelmann patterns and we give a survey of purely combinatorial constructions of prime power coefficients of Weyl group multiple Dirichlet series and metaplectic Whittaker functions using the language of crystal graphs. We explore how the branching structure of crystals manifests in these constructions, and how it allows access to some intricate objects in number theory and related open questions using tools of algebraic combinatorics.
On omega-categorical structures with few finite substructures
We establish new results on the possible growth rates for the sequence (f_n) counting the number of orbits of a given oligomorphic group on unordered sets of size n. Macpherson showed that for primitive actions, the growth is at least exponential (if the sequence is not constant equal to 1). The best lower bound previously known for the base of the exponential was obtained by Merola. We establishing the optimal value of 2 in the case where the structure is unstable. This allows us to improve on Merola's bound and also obtain the optimal value for structures homogeneous in a finite relational language. Finally, we show that the study of sequences (f_n) of sub-exponential growth reduces to the omega-stable case.
Surface Algebras I: Dessins D'enfants, Surface Algebras, and Dessin Orders
In this paper, a construction of an infinite dimensional associative algebra, which will be called a \emph{Surface Algebra}, is associated in a "canonical" way to a dessin d'enfant, or more generally, a cellularly embedded graph in a Riemann surface. Once the surface algebras are constructed we will see a construction of what we call here the associated \emph{Dessin Order} or more generally the \emph{Surface Order}. This provides a way of associating to every algebraic curve $X$, with function field $k(X)$ (defined over an arbitrary field $k$) the representation theory of its Surface Algebra and the lattices over Surface Orders, which are defined as pullbacks of certain matrix algebras over commutative $k$-algebras. We will then be able to prove that the center and the (noncommutative) normalization of the surface orders are invariant under the action of the absolute Galois group $\mathcal{G}(\overline{\mathbb{Q}}/\mathbb{Q})$. We will see that the surface algebras and surface orders are closely related to the fundamental group(oid) of the Riemann surfaces and the associated monodromy group. A description of the projective resolutions of the simple modules over the surface order is given and it will be shown that one can completely recover the dessin with the projective resolutions of the simple modules alone. In particular, the projective resolutions of the simple modules encode all combinatorial and topological data of the monodromy group (or cartographic group) of a dessin. Finally, as a corollary we are able to say that classifying dessins in an orbit of $\mathcal{G}(\overline{\mathbb{Q}}/\mathbb{Q})$ is equivalent to classifying dessin orders with a given normalization. We end with some further examples of surface algebras and surface orders related to the classical and geometric version of the Langlands Program.
Group Inverse of the Laplacian of Connections of Networks

In previous works the group inverse of a network obtained by some perturbations, as the deletion of a vertex, the addition of a new vertex, contraction of an edge, etc. is obtained in terms of the group inverse of the original network. In this work, two given networks are connected with some new edges and the group inverse of the new network is related with the group inverses of the two original networks. In particular, the formula for the connection of two networks by just one edge is obtained, and besides the formula for the Kirchhoff index of this kind of network.
Enumerative Gadget Phenomena for $(4,1)$-Adinkras

Adinkras are combinatorial objects developed to study supersymmetry representations. Gates et al. introduced the "gadget" as a function of pairs of adinkras, obtaining some mysterious results for $(n=4, k=1)$ adinkras with computer-aided computation. Specifically, very few values of the gadget actually appear, suggesting a great deal of symmetry in these objects. In this paper, we compute gadgets symbolically and explain some of these observed phenomena with group theory and combinatorics. Guided by this work, we give some suggestions for generalizations of the gadget to other values of the $n$ and $k$ parameters.

Schur-Weyl duality is a fundamental framework in combinatorial representation theory. It intimately relates the irreducible representations of a group to the irreducible representations of its centralizer algebra. We investigate the analog of Schur-Weyl duality for the group of unipotent upper triangular matrices over a finite field. In this case, the character theory of these upper triangular matrices is "wild" or unattainable. Thus we employ a generalization, known as supercharacter theory, that creates a striking variation on the character theory of the symmetric group with combinatorics built from set partitions. In this paper, we present a combinatorial formula for calculating a restriction and induction of supercharacters based on statistics of set partitions and seashell inspired diagrams. We use these formulas to create a graph that encodes the decomposition of a tensor space, and develop an analog of Young tableaux, known as shell tableaux, to index paths in this graph.
Trivalent expanders, $(Δ-Y)$-transformation, and hyperbolic surfaces

We construct a new family of trivalent expanders tessellating hyperbolic surfaces with large isometry groups. These graphs are obtained from a family of Cayley graphs of nilpotent groups via $(Δ-Y)$-transformations. We compare this family with Platonic graphs and their associated hyperbolic surfaces and see that they are generally very different with only one hyperbolic surface in the intersection. Moreover, we study combinatorial, topological and spectral properties of our trivalent graphs and their associated hyperbolic surfaces.
Semidefinite programming bounds for Lee codes

For $q,n,d \in \mathbb{N}$, let $A_q^L(n,d)$ denote the maximum cardinality of a code $C \subseteq \mathbb{Z}_q^n$ with minimum Lee distance at least $d$, where $\mathbb{Z}_q$ denotes the cyclic group of order $q$. We consider a semidefinite programming bound based on triples of codewords, which bound can be computed efficiently using symmetry reductions, resulting in several new upper bounds on $A_q^L(n,d)$. The technique also yields an upper bound on the independent set number of the $n$-th strong product power of the circular graph $C_{d,q}$, which number is related to the Shannon capacity of $C_{d,q}$. Here $C_{d,q}$ is the graph with vertex set $\mathbb{Z}_q$, in which two vertices are adjacent if and only if their distance (mod $q$) is strictly less than $d$. The new bound does not seem to improve significantly over the bound obtained from Lovász theta-function, except for very small $n$.
Sidon sets and $C_4$-saturated graphs
The problem of determining the Turán number of $C_4$ is a well studied problem that dates back to a paper of Erdös from 1938. It is known that Sidon sets can be used to construct $C_4$-free graphs. If $\A$ is a Sidon set in the abelian group $X$, the sum graph $G_{X, \A}$ with vertex set $X$ and edges set $E=\{\{x, y\}:x\neq y, x+y\in \A\}$ is $C_4$-free. Using the sum graph of a Sidon set of type Singer we verify a conjecture of Erdös and Simonovits concerning the number of copies of $C_4$ in a graph with $ex(q^2+q+1, C_4)+1$ edges. Further, we give a sufficient condition for the sum graph of a Sidon set to be $C_4$-saturated and describe new $C_4$-saturated graphs.

In a seminal series of papers from the 80's, Lubotzky, Phillips and Sarnak applied the Ramanujan-Petersson Conjecture for $GL_{2}$ (Deligne's theorem), to a special family of arithmetic lattices, which act simply-transitively on the Bruhat-Tits trees associated with $SL_{2}(\mathbb{Q}_{p})$. As a result, they obtained explicit Ramanujan Cayley graphs from $PSL_{2}\left(\mathbb{F}_{p}\right)$, as well as optimal topological generators ("Golden Gates") for the compact Lie group $PU(2)$. In higher dimension, the naive generalization of the Ramanujan Conjecture fails, due to the phenomenon of endoscopic lifts. In this paper we overcome this problem for $PU_{3}$ by constructing a family of arithmetic lattices which act simply-transitively on the Bruhat-Tits buildings associated with $SL_{3}(\mathbb{Q}_{p})$ and $SU_{3}(\mathbb{Q}_{p})$, while at the same time do not admit any representation which violates the Ramanujan Conjecture. This gives us Ramanujan complexes from $PSL_{3}(\mathbb{F}_{p})$ and $PSU_{3}(\mathbb{F}_{p})$, as well as golden gates for $PU(3)$.
Geometric constructions over $\mathbb{C}$ and $\mathbb{F}_2$ for Quantum Information

In this review paper I present two geometric constructions of distinguished nature, one is over the field of complex numbers $\mathbb{C}$ and the other one is over the two elements field $\mathbb{F}_2$. Both constructions have been employed in the past fifteen years to describe two quantum paradoxes or two resources of quantum information: entanglement of pure multipartite systems on one side and contextuality on the other. Both geometric constructions are linked to representation of semi-simple Lie groups/algebras. To emphasize this aspect one explains on one hand how well-known results in representation theory allows one to see all the classification of entanglement classes of various tripartite quantum systems ($3$ qubits, $3$ fermions, $3$ bosonic qubits...) in a unified picture. On the other hand, one also shows how some weight diagrams of simple Lie groups are encapsulated in the geometry which deals with the commutation relations of the generalized $N$-Pauli group.
Singular Graphs on which the Dihedral Group Acts Vertex Transitively
Let $Γ$ be a simple connect graph on a finite vertex set $V$ and let $A$ be its adjacency matrix. Then $Γ$ is said to be \textit{singular} if and only if $0$ is an eigenvalue of $A.$ The \textit{nullity (singularity)} of $Γ,$ denoted by ${\rm null}(Γ),$ is the \textit{algebraic multiplicity} of the eigenvalue $0$ in the spectrum of $Γ.$ The general problem of characterising singular graphs is easy to state but it seems too difficult in this time. In this work, we investigate this problem for finite graphs on which the dihedral group $D_n$ acts vertex transitively as group of automorphisms. We determine the nullity of such graphs. We show that Cayley graphs over dihedral groups $D_{p^s} $ is non-singular if $|H \cap C_{p^s}|\neq |H \cap C_{p^s}b|$ and $|H|<p$ where $p$ is a prime number and $s \in \mathbb{N}.$
Smallest cyclically covering subspaces of $\mathbb{F}_q^n$, and lower bounds in Isbell's conjecture

For a prime power $q$ and a positive integer $n$, we say a subspace $U$ of ${\mathbb{F}_q^n}$ is {\em cyclically covering} if the union of the cyclic shifts of $U$ is equal to $\mathbb{F}_q^n$. We investigate the problem of determining the minimum possible dimension of a cyclically covering subspace of $\mathbb{F}_q^n$. (This is a natural generalisation of a problem posed in 1991 by the first author.) We prove several upper and lower bounds, and for each fixed $q$, we answer the question completely for infinitely many values of $n$ (which take the form of certain geometric series). Our results imply lower bounds for a well-known conjecture of Isbell, and a generalisation theoreof, supplementing lower bounds due to Spiga. We also consider the analogous problem for general representations of groups. We use arguments from combinatorics, representation theory and finite field theory.
Bi-pruned Hurwitz numbers

Hurwitz numbers enumerate ramified coverings of the Riemann sphere with fixed ramification data. Certain kinds of ramification data are of particular interest, such as double Hurwitz numbers, which count covers with fixed arbitrary ramification over $0$ and $\infty$ and simple ramification over $b$ points, where $b$ is given by the Riemann-Hurwitz formula. In this work, we introduce the notion of bi-pruned double Hurwitz numbers. This is a new enumerative problem, which yields smaller numbers but completely determines double Hurwitz numbers. They count a relevant subset of covers and share many properties with double Hurwitz numbers, such as piecewise polynomial behaviour and an expression in the symmetric group. Thus, we may view them as a core of the double Hurwitz numbers problem. This work is built on and generalises previous work of Do--Norbury and the author.
Stable Cluster Variables
Richard Eager and Sebastian Franco introduced a change of basis transformation on the F-polynomials of Fomin and Zelevinsky, corresponding to rewriting them in the basis given by fractional brane charges rather than quiver gauge groups. This transformation seems to display a surprising stabilization property, apparently causing the first few terms of the polynomials at each step of the mutation sequence to coincide. Eager and Franco conjecture that this transformation will always cause the polynomials to converge to a formal power series as the number of mutations goes to infinity, at least for quivers possessing certain symmetries and along periodic mutation sequences respecting such symmetries. In this paper, we verify this convergence in the case of the Kronecker and Conifold quivers. We also investigate convergence in the $F_0$ quiver. We provide a combinatorial interpretation for the stable cluster variables in each appropriate case.
Exotic Springer fibers for orbits corresponding to one-row bipartitions

We study the geometry and topology of exotic Springer fibers for orbits corresponding to one-row bipartitions from an explicit, combinatorial point of view. This includes a detailed analysis of the structure of the irreducible components and their intersections as well as the construction of an explicit affine paving. Moreover, we compute the ring structure of cohomology by constructing a CW-complex homotopy equivalent to the exotic Springer fiber. This homotopy equivalent space admits an action of the type C Weyl group inducing Kato's original exotic Springer representation on cohomology. Our results are described in terms of the diagrammatics of the one-boundary Temperley-Lieb algebra (also known as the blob algebra). This provides a first step in generalizing the geometric versions of Khovanov's arc algebra to the exotic setting.

Let $F$ be a $2$-regular graph of order $v$. The Oberwolfach problem, $OP(F)$, asks for a $2$-factorization of the complete graph on $v$ vertices in which each $2$-factor is isomorphic to $F$. In this paper, we give a complete solution to the Oberwolfach problem over infinite complete graphs, proving the existence of solutions that are regular under the action of a given involution free group $G$. We will also consider the same problem in the more general contest of graphs $F$ that are spanning subgraphs of an infinite complete graph $\mathbb{K}$ and we provide a solution when $F$ is locally finite. Moreover, we characterize the infinite subgraphs $L$ of $F$ such that there exists a solution to $OP(F)$ containing a solution to $OP(L)$.
