We establish some supercongruences for the truncated ${}_2F_1$ and ${}_3F_2$ hypergeometric series involving the $p$-adic Gamma functions. Some of these results extend the four Rodriguez-Villegas supercongruences on the truncated ${}_3F_2$ hypergeometric series. The corresponding conjectural supercongruences modulo $p^3$ are also proposed for further research.

In 2003, Rodriguez-Villegas conjectured four supercongruences on the truncated ${}_3F_2$ hypergeometric series for certain modular K3 surfaces, which were gradually proved by several authors. Motivated by some supercongruences on combinatorial numbers such as Apéry numbers and Domb numbers, we establish some new supercongruences on the truncated ${}_3F_2$ hypergeometric series, which extend the four Rodriguez-Villegas supercongruences.
Jacobi's triple product, mock theta functions, unimodal sequences and the $q$-bracket

In Ramanujan's final letter to Hardy, he listed examples of a strange new class of infinite series he called "mock theta functions". It turns out all of these examples are essentially specializations of a so-called universal mock theta function $g_3(z,q)$ of Gordon-McIntosh. Here we show that $g_3$ arises naturally from the reciprocal of the classical Jacobi triple product -- and is intimately tied to rank generating functions for unimodal sequences, which are connected to mock modular and quantum modular forms -- under the action of an operator related to statistical physics and partition theory, the $q$-bracket of Bloch-Okounkov. Secondly, we find $g_3(z,q)$ to extend in $q$ to the entire complex plane minus the unit circle, and give a finite formula for this universal mock theta function at roots of unity, that is simple by comparison to other such formulas in the literature; we also indicate similar formulas for other $q$-hypergeometric series. Finally, we look at interesting "quantum" behaviors of mock theta functions inside, outside, and on the unit circle.

We study a family of finite--dimensional representations of the hyperspecial parabolic subalgebra of the twisted affine Lie algebra of type $\tt A_2^{(2)}$. We prove that these modules admit a decreasing filtration whose sections are isomorphic to stable Demazure modules in an integrable highest weight module of sufficiently large level. In particular, we show that any stable level $m'$ Demazure module admits a filtration by level $m$ Demazure modules for all $m\ge m'$. We define the graded and weighted generating functions which encode the multiplicity of a given Demazure module and establish a recursive formulae. In the case when $m'=1,2$ and $m=2,3$ we determine these generating functions completely and show that they define hypergeoemetric series and that they are related to the $q$--Fibonacci polynomials defined by Carlitz.

Rodriguez-Villegas conjectured four supercongruences associated to certain elliptic curves, which were first confirmed by Mortenson by using the Gross-Koblitz formula. In this paper, we aim to prove four supercongruences between two truncated hypergeometric series ${}_2F_1$. This generalizes these four Rodriguez-Villegas supercongruences.

We use elliptic Taylor series expansions and interpolation to deduce a number of summations for elliptic hypergeometric series. We extend to the well-poised elliptic case results that in the $q$-case have previously been obtained by Cooper and by Ismail and Stanton. We also provide identities involving S. Bhargava's cubic theta functions.

We consider discretisations of the Macdonald--Mehta integrals from the theory of finite reflection groups. For the classical groups, $\mathrm{A}_{r-1}$, $\mathrm{B}_r$ and $\mathrm{D}_r$, we provide closed-form evaluations in those cases for which the Weyl denominators featuring in the summands have exponents $1$ and $2$. Our proofs for the exponent-$1$ cases rely on identities for classical group characters, while most of the formulas for the exponent-$2$ cases are derived from a transformation formula for elliptic hypergeometric series for the root system $\mathrm{BC}_r$. As a byproduct of our results, we obtain closed-form product formulas for the (ordinary and signed) enumeration of orthogonal and symplectic tableaux contained in a box.
Pell's equation and series expansions for irrational numbers
Solutions of Pell's equation and hypergeometric series identities are used to study series expansions for $\sqrt{p}$ where $p$ are arbitrary prime numbers. Numerous fast convergent series expansions for this family of irrational numbers are established.
On the Very-well-poised Bilateral Basic Hypergeometric $_5ψ_5$ Series
In this paper, we prove several transformation formulas for the very-well-poised bilateral basic hypergeometric $_5ψ_5$ series by using the relationship between the bilateral basic hypergeometric $_5ψ_5$ series and basic hypergeometric $_8φ_7$ series.
On a class of transformations of sequences of complex numbers
In this paper we consider a transformation $L_a$ of sequences of complex numbers. We find the inverse transformation of $L_a$ as well as the inverse of a related transformation $\tilde{L}_a$. We explore a connection to the binomial transform and significantly generalize a previously known result. We also obtain new relations among many classical hypergeometric orthogonal polynomials as well as new formulas for sums involving terminating hypergeometric series.

We describe a method, based on the theory of Macdonald-Koornwinder polynomials, for proving bounded Littlewood identities. Our approach provides an alternative to Macdonald's partial fraction technique and results in the first examples of bounded Littlewood identities for Macdonald polynomials. These identities, which take the form of decomposition formulas for Macdonald polynomials of type $(R,S)$ in terms of ordinary Macdonald polynomials, are $q,t$-analogues of known branching formulas for characters of the symplectic, orthogonal and special orthogonal groups. In the classical limit, our method implies that MacMahon's famous ex-conjecture for the generating function of symmetric plane partitions in a box follows from the identification of $(\mathrm{GL}(n,\mathbb{R}),\mathrm{O}(n))$ as a Gelfand pair. As further applications, we obtain combinatorial formulas for characters of affine Lie algebras; Rogers-Ramanujan identities for affine Lie algebras, complementing recent results of Griffin et al.; and quadratic transformation formulas for Kaneko--Macdonald-type basic hypergeometric series.

We present explicit formulas for the Macdonald polynomials of types $C_n$ and $D_n$ in the one-row case. In view of the combinatorial structure, we call them "tableau formulas". For the construction of the tableau formulas, we apply some transformation formulas for the basic hypergeometric series involving very well-poised balanced ${}_{12}W_{11}$ series. We remark that the correlation functions of the deformed $\mathcal{W}$ algebra generators automatically give rise to the tableau formulas when we principally specialize the coordinate variables.

We investigate sums $K(\vec{x})$ and $L(\vec{x})$ of pairs of (suitably normalized) Saalschützian ${}_4F_3(1)$ hypergeometric series, and develop a theory of relations among these $K$ and $L$ functions.
The function $L(\vec{x})$ has been studied extensively in the literature, and has been shown to satisfy a number of two-term and three-term relations with respect to the variable $\vec{x}$. More recent works have framed these relations in terms of Coxeter group actions on $\vec{x}$, and have developed a similar theory of two-term and three-term relations for $K(\vec{x})$.
In this article, we derive "mixed" three-term relations, wherein any one of the $L$ (respectively, $K$) functions arising in the above context may be expressed as a linear combination of two of the above $K$ (respectively, $L$) functions. We show that, under the appropriate Coxeter group action, the resulting set of three-term relations (mixed and otherwise) among $K$ and $L$ functions partitions into eighteen orbits. We provide an explicit example of a relation from each orbit.
We further classify the eighteen orbits into five types, with each type uniquely determined by the distances (under a certain natural metric) between the $K$ and $L$ functions in the relation. We show that the type of a relation dictates the complexity (in terms of both number of summands and number of factors in each summand) of the coefficients of the $K$ and $L$ functions therein.
Some q-analogues of (super)congruences of Beukers, Van Hamme and Rodriguez-Villegas
For any odd prime p we obtain q-analogues of Van Hamme's supercongruence: $$ \sum_{k=0}^{\frac{p-1}{2}}{2k\choose k}^3\frac{1}{64^k} \equiv 0 \pmod{p^2} \quad\text{for}\quad p\equiv 3\pmod 4, $$ and Rodriguez-Villegas' Beukers-like supercongruences involving products of three binomial coefficients. For example, we prove that \begin{align*} \sum_{k=0}^{\frac{p-1}{2}} {2k\brack k}_{q^2}^3 \frac{q^{2k}}{(-q^2;q^2)_k^2 (-q;q)_{2k}^2} &\equiv 0\pmod{[p]^2} \quad\text{for}\quad p\equiv 3\pmod 4, \\ \sum_{k=0}^{\frac{p-1}{2}}{2k\brack k}_{q^3}\frac{(q;q^3)_k (q^{2};q^3)_{k} q^{3k} }{ (q^{6};q^{6})_k^2 } &\equiv 0 \pmod{[p]^2}\quad\text{for}\quad p\equiv 2\pmod{3}, \end{align*} where $[p]=1+q+\cdots+q^{p-1}$, $(a;q)_n=(1-a)(1-aq)\cdots(1-aq^{n-1})$, and ${n\brack k}_q$ denotes the q-binomial coefficient. Actually, our results give q-analogues of Z.-H. Sun's and Z.-W. Sun's generalizations of the above Beukers-like supercongruences. Our proof uses the theory of basic hypergeometric series including a new q-Clausen-type summation formula.

We explicitly give the relations between the hypergeometric solutions of the general hypergeometric equation and their duals, as well as similar relations for q-hypergeometric equations. They form a family of very general identities for hypergeometric series. Although they were foreseen already by N. M. Bailey in the 1930's on analytic grounds, we give a purely algebraic treatment based on general principles in general differential and difference modules.

We present a fourfold series expansion representing the Askey-Wilson polynomials. To obtain the result, a sequential use is made of several summation and transformation formulas for the basic hypergeometric series, including the Verma's q-extension of the Field and Wimp expansion, Andrews' terminating q-analogue of Watson's 3F2 sum, Singh's quadratic transformation. As an application, we present an explicit formula for the Koornwinder polynomial of type BCn (n in Z_>0) with one row diagram. When the parameters are specialized, we recover Lassalle's formula for Macdonald polynomials of type Bn, Cn and Dn with one row diagram, thereby proving his conjectures.
