In a previous part of this work, we gave a new tableau formula for the modified Macdonald polynomials $\widetilde{H}_λ(X;q,t)$, using a weight on tableaux involving the \emph{queue inversion} (quinv) statistic. In this paper we explicitly describe a connection between these combinatorial objects and a class of multispecies totally asymmetric zero range processes (mTAZRP) on a ring, with site-dependent jump-rates. We construct a Markov chain on the space of tableaux of a given shape, which projects to the mTAZRP, and whose stationary distribution can be expressed in terms of quinv-weighted tableaux. We deduce that the mTAZRP has a partition function given by the modified Macdonald polynomial $\widetilde{H}_λ(X;1,t)$. The novelty here in comparison to previous works relating the stationary distribution of integrable systems to symmetric functions is that the variables $x_1,\ldots,x_n$ are explicitly present as hopping rates in the mTAZRP. We also obtain interesting symmetry properties of the mTAZRP probabilities under permutation of the jump-rates between the sites. Finally, we explore a number of interesting special cases of the mTAZRP, and give explicit formulas for particle densities and correlations of the process purely in terms of modified Macdonald polynomials.

We exactly determine the maximum possible hook length of $(s,t)$-core partitions with $d$-distinct parts when there are finitely many such partitions. Moreover, we provide an algorithm to construct a $d$-distinct $(s,t)$-core partition with this maximum possible hook length.

Given a non-decreasing sequence $S = (s_{1}, s_{2}, \ldots , s_{k})$ of positive integers, an $S$-packing coloring of a graph $G$ is a partition of the vertex set of $G$ into $k$ subsets $\{V_{1}, V_{2}, \ldots , V_{k}\}$ such that for each $1 \leq i \leq k$, the distance between any two distinct vertices $u$ and $v$ in $V_{i}$ is at least $s_{i} + 1$. In this paper, we study the problem of $S$-packing coloring of cubic Halin graphs, and we prove that every cubic Halin graph is $(1,1,2,3)$-packing colorable. In addition, we prove that such graphs are $(1,2,2,2,2,2)$-packing colorable.

In 2000, Ariki and Mathas showed that the simple modules of the Ariki--Koike algebras $\mathcal{H}_{\mathbb{C},q;Q_1,\ldots, Q_m}\big(G(m, 1, n)\big)$ (when the parameters are roots of unity and $q\neq 1$) are labeled by the so-called Kleshchev multipartitions. This together with Ariki's categorification theorem enabled Ariki and Mathas to obtain the generating function for the number of Kleshchev multipartitions by making use of the Weyl--Kac character formula. In this paper, we revisit this generating function for the $q=-1$ case. This $q=-1$ case is particularly interesting, for the corresponding Kleshchev multipartitions have a very close connection to generalized Rogers--Ramanujan type partitions when $Q_1=\cdots=Q_a=-1$ and $Q_{a+1}=\cdots =Q_m =1$. Based on this connection, we provide an analytic proof of the result of Ariki and Mathas for $q=Q_1=\cdots Q_a=-1$ and $Q_{a+1}=\cdots =Q_m =1$. Our second objective is to investigate simple modules of the Ariki--Koike algebra in a fixed block. It is known that these simple modules in a fixed block are labeled by the Kleshchev multiparitions with a fixed partition residue statistic. This partition statistic is also studied in the works of Berkovich, Garvan, and Uncu. Employing their results, we provide two bivariate generating function identities when $m=2$.
Rado functionals and applications
We study Rado functionals and the maximal condition (first introduced by J. M. Barret et al.) in terms of the partition regularity of mixed systems of linear equations and inequalities. By strengthening the maximal Rado condition, we provide a sufficient condition for the partition regularity of polynomial equations over some infinite subsets of a given commutative ring. By applying these results, we derive an extension of a previous result obtained by M. Di Nasso and L. Luperi Baglini concerning partition regular inhomogeneous polynomials in three variables and also conditions for the partition regularity of equations of the form $H(xz^ρ,y)=0$, where $ρ$ is a non-zero rational and $H\in\mathbb{Z}[x,y]$ is a homogeneous polynomial.
Error bounds for the asymptotic expansion of the partition function
Asymptotic study on the partition function $p(n)$ began with the work of Hardy and Ramanujan. Later Rademacher obtained a convergent series for $p(n)$ and an error bound was given by Lehmer. Despite having this, a full asymptotic expansion for $p(n)$ with an explicit error bound is not known. Recently O'Sullivan studied the asymptotic expansion of $p^{k}(n)$-partitions into $k$th powers, initiated by Wright, and consequently obtained an asymptotic expansion for $p(n)$ along with a concise description of the coefficients involved in the expansion but without any estimation of the error term. Here we consider a detailed and comprehensive analysis on an estimation of the error term obtained by truncating the asymptotic expansion for $p(n)$ at any positive integer $n$. This gives rise to an infinite family of inequalities for $p(n)$ which finally answers to a question proposed by Chen. Our error term estimation predominantly relies on applications of algorithmic methods from symbolic summation.
Refined list version of Hadwiger's conjecture

Assume $λ=\{k_1,k_2, \ldots, k_q\}$ is a partition of $k_λ = \sum_{i=1}^q k_i$. A $λ$-list assignment of $G$ is a $k_λ$-list assignment $L$ of $G$ such that the colour set $\bigcup_{v \in V(G)}L(v)$ can be partitioned into $|λ|= q$ sets $C_1,C_2,\ldots,C_q$ such that for each $i$ and each vertex $v$ of $G$, $|L(v) \cap C_i| \ge k_i$. We say $G$ is \emph{$λ$-choosable} if $G$ is $L$-colourable for any $λ$-list assignment $L$ of $G$. The concept of $λ$-choosability is a refinement of choosability that puts $k$-choosability and $k$-colourability in the same framework. If $|λ|$ is close to $k_λ$, then $λ$-choosability is close to $k_λ$-colourability; if $|λ|$ is close to $1$, then $λ$-choosability is close to $k_λ$-choosability. This paper studies Hadwiger's Conjecture in the context of $λ$-choosability. Hadwiger's Conjecture is equivalent to saying that every $K_t$-minor-free graph is $\{1 \star (t-1)\}$-choosable for any positive integer $t$. We prove that for $t \ge 5$, for any partition $λ$ of $t-1$ other than $\{1 \star (t-1)\}$, there is a $K_t$-minor-free graph $G$ that is not $λ$-choosable. We then construct several types of $K_t$-minor-free graphs that are not $λ$-choosable, where $k_λ- (t-1)$ gets larger as $k_λ-|λ|$ gets larger. In partcular, for any $q$ and any $ε> 0$, there exists $t_0$ such that for any $t \ge t_0$, for any partition $λ$ of $\lfloor (2-ε)t \rfloor$ with $|λ| =q$, there is a $K_t$-minor-free graph that is not $λ$-choosable. The $q=1$ case of this result was recently proved by Steiner, and our proof uses a similar argument. We also generalize this result to $(a,b)$-list colouring.

In 2007, Andrews and Paule introduced the broken $k$-diamond partition function $Δ_k(n)$, which has received a lot of researches on the arithmetic propertises. In this paper, we prove that $D^3\log Δ_1(n-1)>0$ for $n\geq 5$ and $D^3 \log Δ_2(n-1)>0$ for $n\geq 7$, where $D$ is the difference operator with respect to $n$. We also conjecture that for any $k\geq 1$ and $r\geq 1$, there exists a positive integer $n_k(r)$ such that for $n\geq n_{k}(r)$, $(-1)^r D^r \log Δ_k(n)>0$. This is analogous to the positivity of finite differences of the logarithm of the partition function, which has been proved by Chen, Wang and Xie. Furthermore, we obtain that both $\{Δ_1(n)\}_{n\geq 0}$ and $\{Δ_2(n)\}_{n\geq 0}$ satisfy the higher order Turán inequalities for $n \geq 6$.
Embedding Irregular Colorings into Connected Factorizations
For $r:=(r_1,\dots,r_k)$, an $r$-factorization of the complete $λ$-fold $h$-uniform $n$-vertex hypergraph $λK_n^h$ is a partition of (the edges of) $λK_n^h$ into $F_1,\dots, F_k$ such that for $i=1,\dots,k$, $F_i$ is $r_i$-regular and spanning. Suppose that $n \geq (h-1)(2m-1)$. Given a partial $r$-factorization of $λK_m^h$, that is, a coloring (i.e. partition) $P$ of the edges of $λK_m^h$ into $F_1,\dots, F_k$ such that for $i=1,\dots,k$, $F_i$ is spanning and the degree of each vertex in $F_i$ is at most $r_i$, we find necessary and sufficient conditions that ensure $P$ can be extended to a connected $r$-factorization of $λK_n^h$ (i.e. an $r$-factorization in which each factor is connected). Moreover, we prove a general result that implies the following. Given a partial $s$-factorization $P$ of any sub-hypergraph of $λK_m^h$, where $s:=(s_1,\dots,s_q)$ and $q$ is not too big, we find necessary and sufficient conditions under which $P$ can be embedded into a connected $r$-factorization of $λK_n^h$. These results can be seen as unified generalizations of various classical combinatorial results such as Cruse's theorem on embedding partial symmetric latin squares, Baranyai's theorem on factorization of hypergraphs, Hilton's theorem on extending path decompositions into Hamiltonian decompositions, Häggkvist and Hellgren's theorem on extending 1-factorizations, and Hilton, Johnson, Rodger, and Wantland's theorem on embedding connected factorizations.
Analytic aspects of $q,r$-analogue of poly-Stirling numbers of both kinds

The Stirling numbers of type $B$ of the second kind count signed set partitions. In this paper we provide new combinatorial and analytical identities regarding these numbers as well as Broder's $r$-version of these numbers. Among these identities one can find recursions, explicit formulas based on the inclusion-exclusion principle, and also exponential generating functions.
These Stirling numbers can be considered as members of a wider family of triangles of numbers that are characterized using results of Comtet and Lancaster.
We generalize these theorems, which present equivalent conditions for a triangle of numbers to be a triangle of generalized Stirling numbers, to the case of the $q,r$-poly Stirling numbers, which are $q$-analogues of the restricted Stirling numbers defined by Broder and having a polynomial value appearing in their defining recursion. There are two ways to do this and these ways are related by a nice identity.

We use sums over integer compositions analogous to generating functions in partition theory, to express certain partition enumeration functions as sums over compositions into parts that are $k$-gonal numbers; our proofs employ Ramanujan's theta functions. We explore applications to lacunary $q$-series, and to a new class of composition-theoretic Dirichlet series.
Polish space partition principles and the Halpern-Läuchli theorem

The Halpern-Läuchli theorem, a combinatorial result about trees, admits an elegant proof due to Harrington using ideas from forcing. In an attempt to distill the combinatorial essence of this proof, we isolate various partition principles about products of perfect Polish spaces. These principles yield straightforward proofs of the Halpern-Läuchli theorem, and the same forcing from Harrington's proof can force their consistency. We also show that these principles are not ZFC theorems by showing that they put lower bounds on the size of the continuum.
Equidistribution of high-rank polynomials with variables restricted to subsets of $\mathbb{F}_p$
Let $p$ be a prime and let $S$ be a non-empty subset of $\mathbb{F}_p$. Generalizing a result of Green and Tao on the equidistribution of high-rank polynomials over finite fields, we show that if $P: \mathbb{F}_p^n \rightarrow \mathbb{F}_p$ is a polynomial and its restriction to $S^n$ does not take each value with approximately the same frequency, then there exists a polynomial $P_0: \mathbb{F}_p^n \rightarrow \mathbb{F}_p$ that vanishes on $S^n$, such that the polynomial $P-P_0$ has bounded rank. Our argument uses two black boxes: that a tensor with high partition rank has high analytic rank and that a tensor with high essential partition rank has high disjoint partition rank.
Quantum isomorphism of graphs from association schemes

We show that any two Hadamard graphs on the same number of vertices are quantum isomorphic. This follows from a more general recipe for showing quantum isomorphism of graphs arising from certain association schemes. The main result is built from three tools. A remarkable recent result of Mančinska and Roberson shows that graphs $G$ and $H$ are quantum isomorphic if and only if, for any planar graph $F$, the number of graph homomorphisms from $F$ to $G$ is equal to the number of graph homomorphisms from $F$ to $H$. A generalization of partition functions called "scaffolds" affords some basic reduction rules such as series-parallel reduction and can be applied to counting homomorphisms. The final tool is the classical theorem of Epifanov showing that any plane graph can be reduced to a single vertex and no edges by extended series-parallel reductions and Delta-Wye transformations. This last sort of transformation is available to us in the case of exactly triply regular association schemes. The paper includes open problems and directions for future research.

In this paper, we view parking functions viewed as labeled Dyck paths in order to study a notion of pattern avoidance first introduced by Remmel and Qiu. In particular we enumerate the parking functions avoiding any set of two or more patterns of length 3, and we obtain a number of well-known combinatorial sequences as a result. Along the way, we find bijections between specific sets of pattern-avoiding parking functions and a number of combinatorial objects such as partitions of polygons and trees with certain restrictions.

The $K$-theoretic Schur $P$- and $Q$-functions $GP_λ$ and $GQ_λ$ may be concretely defined as weight generating functions for semistandard shifted set-valued tableaux. These symmetric functions are the shifted analogues of stable Grothendieck polynomials, and were introduced by Ikeda and Naruse for applications in geometry. Nakagawa and Naruse specified families of dual $K$-theoretic Schur $P$- and $Q$-functions $gp_λ$ and $gq_λ$ via a Cauchy identity involving $GP_λ$ and $GQ_λ$. They conjectured that the dual power series are weight generating functions for certain shifted plane partitions. We prove this conjecture. We also derive a related generating function formula for the images of $gp_λ$ and $gq_λ$ under the $ω$ involution of the ring of symmetric functions. This confirms a conjecture of Chiu and the second author. Using these results, we verify a conjecture of Ikeda and Naruse that the $GQ$-functions are a basis for a ring.
Graphs which satisfy a Vizing-like bound for power domination of Cartesian products
Power domination is a two-step observation process that is used to monitor power networks and can be viewed as a combination of domination and zero forcing. Given a graph $G$, a subset $S\subseteq V(G)$ that can observe all vertices of $G$ using this process is known as a power dominating set of $G$, and the power domination number of $G$, $γ_P(G)$, is the minimum number of vertices in a power dominating set. We introduce a new partition on the vertices of a graph to provide a lower bound for the power domination number. We also consider the power domination number of the Cartesian product of two graphs, $G \Box H$, and show certain graphs satisfy a Vizing-like bound with regards to the power domination number. In particular, we prove that for any two trees $T_1$ and $T_2$, $γ_P(T_1)γ_P(T_2) \leq γ_P(T_1 \Box T_2)$.

We consider the following list coloring with separation problem: Given a graph $G$ and integers $a,b$, find the largest integer $c$ such that for any list assignment $L$ of $G$ with $|L(v)|= a$ for any vertex $v$ and $|L(u)\cap L(v)|\le c$ for any edge $uv$ of $G$, there exists an assignment $\varphi$ of sets of integers to the vertices of $G$ such that $\varphi(u)\subset L(u)$ and $|\varphi(v)|=b$ for any vertex $u$ and $\varphi(u)\cap \varphi(v)=\emptyset$ for any edge $uv$. Such a value of $c$ is called the separation number of $(G,a,b)$. Using a special partition of a set of lists for which we obtain an improved version of Poincaré's crible, we determine the separation number of the complete graph $K_n$ for some values of $a,b$ and $n$, and prove bounds for the remaining values.
Multiple Partition Structures and Harmonic Functions on Branching Graphs

We introduce and study multiple partition structures which are sequences of probability measures on families of Young diagrams subjected to a consistency condition. The multiple partition structures are generalizations of Kingman's partition structures, and are motivated by a problem of population genetics. They are related to harmonic functions and coherent systems of probability measures on a certain branching graph. The vertices of this graph are multiple Young diagrams (or multiple partitions), and the edges depend on the Jack parameter. Our main result establishes a bijective correspondence between the set of harmonic functions on the graph and probability measures on the generalized Thoma set. The correspondence is determined by a canonical integral representation of harmonic functions. As a consequence we obtain a representation theorem for multiple partition structures.
We give an example of a multiple partition structure which is expected to be relevant for a model of population genetics for the genetic variation of a sample of gametes from a large population. Namely, we construct a probability measure on the wreath product of a finite group with the symmetric group. The constructed probability measure defines a multiple partition structure which is a generalization of the Ewens partition structure studied by Kingman. We show that this multiple partition structure can be represented in terms of a multiple analogue of the Poisson-Dirichlet distribution called the multiple Poisson-Dirichlet distribution in the paper.
