We prove a number of quadratic transformations of elliptic Selberg integrals (conjectured in an earlier paper of the author), as well as studying in depth the "interpolation kernel", an analytic continuation of the author's elliptic interpolation functions which plays a major role in the proof as well as acting as the kernel for a Fourier transform on certain elliptic double affine Hecke algebras (discussed in a later paper). In the process, we give a number of examples of a new approach to proving elliptic hypergeometric integral identities, by reduction to a Zariski dense subset of a formal neighborhood of the trigonometric limit.

The quiver Hecke algebra $R$ can be also understood as a generalization of the affine Hecke algebra of type $A$ in the context of the quantum affine Schur-Weyl duality by the results of Kang, Kashiwara and Kim. On the other hand, it is well-known that the Auslander-Reiten(AR) quivers $Γ_Q$ of finite simply-laced types have a deep relation with the positive roots systems of the corresponding types. In this paper, we present explicit combinatorial descriptions for the AR-quivers $Γ_Q$ of finite type $A$. Using the combinatorial descriptions, we can investigate relations between finite dimensional module categories over the quantum affine algebra $U'_q(A_n^{(i)})$ $(i=1,2)$ and finite dimensional graded module categories over the quiver Hecke algebra $R_{A_n}$ associated to $A_n$ through the generalized quantum affine Schur-Weyl duality functor.

We study a relationship between $Q$-polynomial distance-regular graphs and the double affine Hecke algebra of type $(C^{\vee}_1,C_1)$. Let $Γ$ denote a $Q$-polynomial distance-regular graph with vertex set $X$. We assume that $Γ$ has $q$-Racah type and contains a Delsarte clique $C$. Fix a vertex $x \in C$. We partition $X$ according to the path-length distance to both $x$ and $C$. This is an equitable partition. For each cell in this partition, consider the corresponding characteristic vector. These characteristic vectors form a basis for a $\mathbb{C}$-vector space ${\bf W}$.
The universal double affine Hecke algebra of type $(C^{\vee}_1,C_1)$ is the $\mathbb{C}$-algebra $\hat{H}_q$ defined by generators $\{t^{\pm1}_n\}^3_{n=0}$ and relations (i) $t_nt_n^{-1}=t_n^{-1}t_n=1$; (ii) $t_n+t_n^{-1}$ is central; (iii) $t_0t_1t_2t_3 = q^{-1/2}$. In this paper, we display an $\hat{H}_q$-module structure for ${\bf W}$. For this module and up to affine transformation, (i) $t_0t_1+(t_0t_1)^{-1}$ acts as the adjacency matrix of $Γ$; (ii) $t_3t_0+(t_3t_0)^{-1}$ acts as the dual adjacency matrix of $Γ$ with respect to $C$; (iii) $t_1t_2+(t_1t_2)^{-1}$ acts as the dual adjacency matrix of $Γ$ with respect to $x$. To obtain our results we use the theory of Leonard systems.
Row-strict Quasisymmetric Schur Functions, Characterizations of Demazure Atoms, and Permuted Basement Nonsymmetric Macdonald Polynomials
We give a Littlewood-Richardson type rule for expanding the product of a row-strict quasisymmetric Schur function and a symmetric Schur function in terms of row-strict quasisymmetric Schur functions. We then discuss a family of polynomials called Demazure atoms. We review the known characterizations of these polynomials and then present two new characterizations. Finally, we consider a family of polynomials called permuted basement nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials which are obtained by permuting the basement of the combinatorial formula of Haglund, Haiman, and Loehr for nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials. We show that these permuted basement nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials are the simultaneous eigenfunctions of a family of commuting operators in the double affine Hecke algebra.

In this paper we show that the lowest two-sided ideal of an affine Hecke algebra is affine cellular for all choices of parameters. We explicitely describe the cellular basis and we show that the basis elements have a nice decomposition when expressed in the Kazhdan-Lusztig basis. In type $A$ we provide a combinatorial description of this decomposition in term of number of paths.
Standard multipartitions and a combinatorial affine Schur-Weyl duality

We introduce the notion of standard multipartitions and establish a one-to-one correspondence between standard multipartitions and irreducible representations with integral weights for the affine Hecke algebra of type A with a parameter q which is not a root of unity. We then extend the correspondence to all Kleshchev multipartitions for Ariki-Koike algebras of integral type. By the affine Schur--Weyl duality, we further extend this to a correspondence between standard multipartitions and Drinfeld multipolynomials of integral type whose associated irreducible polynomial representations completely determine all irreducible polynomial representations for the quantum loop algebra. We will see, in particular, the notion of standard multipartitions gives rise to a combinatorial description of the affine Schur--Weyl duality in terms of a column-reading vs. row reading of residues of a multipartition.

The classical Gindikin-Karpelevich formula appears in Langlands' calculation of the constant terms of Eisenstein series on reductive groups and in Macdonald's work on p-adic groups and affine Hecke algebras. The formula has been generalized in the work of Garland to the affine Kac-Moody case, and the affine case has been geometrically constructed in a recent paper of Braverman, Finkelberg, and Kazhdan. On the other hand, there have been efforts to write the formula as a sum over Kashiwara's crystal basis or Lusztig's canonical basis, initiated by Brubaker, Bump, and Friedberg. In this paper, we write the affine Gindikin-Karpelevich formula as a sum over the crystal of generalized Young walls when the underlying Kac-Moody algebra is of affine type A_n^(1). The coefficients of the terms in the sum are determined explicitly by the combinatorial data from Young walls.
Affine and degenerate affine BMW algebras: The center

The degenerate affine and affine BMW algebras arise naturally in the context of Schur-Weyl duality for orthogonal and symplectic Lie algebras and quantum groups, respectively. Cyclotomic BMW algebras, affine Hecke algebras, cyclotomic Hecke algebras, and their degenerate versions are quotients. In this paper the theory is unified by treating the orthogonal and symplectic cases simultaneously; we make an exact parallel between the degenerate affine and affine cases via a new algebra which takes the role of the affine braid group for the degenerate setting. A main result of this paper is an identification of the centers of the affine and degenerate affine BMW algebras in terms of rings of symmetric functions which satisfy a "cancellation property" or "wheel condition" (in the degenerate case, a reformulation of a result of Nazarov). Miraculously, these same rings also arise in Schubert calculus, as the cohomology and K-theory of isotropic Grassmanians and symplectic loop Grassmanians. We also establish new intertwiner-like identities which, when projected to the center, produce the recursions for central elements given previously by Nazarov for degenerate affine BMW algebras, and by Beliakova-Blanchet for affine BMW algebras.
Non-gatherable triples for classical affine root systems

This paper contains a complete description of minimal non-gatherable triangle triples in the lambda-sequences for the affine classical root systems and some claims for arbitrary (reduced) affine root systems. It continues our previous paper devoted to the non-affine case; interestingly, the affine theory clarifies the classification in the non-affine case. The lambda-sequences are associated with reduced decompositions (words) in affine Weyl groups. The existence of the non-gatherable triples is a combinatorial obstacle for using the technique of intertwiners in the theory of irreducible representations of the (double) affine Hecke algebras, complementary to their algebraic-geometric theory.

Macdonald polynomials are orthogonal polynomials associated to root systems, and in the type A case, the symmetric kind is a common generalization of Schur functions, Macdonald spherical functions, and Jack polynomials. We use the combinatorics of alcove walks to calculate products of monomials and intertwining operators of the double affine Hecke algebra. From this, we obtain a product formula for Macdonald polynomials of general type.

We identify a subalgebra \pH_n of the extended affine Hecke algebra \eH_n of type A. The subalgebra \pH_n is a \u-analogue of the monoid algebra of §_n \ltimes \ZZ_{\geq 0}^n and inherits a canonical basis from that of \eH_n. We show that its left cells are naturally labeled by tableaux filled with positive integer entries having distinct residues mod n, which we term \emph{positive affine tableaux} (PAT).
We then exhibit a cellular subquotient \R_{1^n} of \pH_n that is a \u-analogue of the ring of coinvariants \CC[y_1,...,y_n]/(e_1,...,e_n) with left cells labeled by PAT that are essentially standard Young tableaux with cocharge labels. Multiplying canonical basis elements by a certain element π\in \pH_n corresponds to rotations of words, and on cells corresponds to cocyclage. We further show that \R_{1^n} has cellular quotients \R_λthat are \u-analogues of the Garsia-Procesi modules R_λwith left cells labeled by (a PAT version of) the λ-catabolizable tableaux.
We give a conjectural description of a cellular filtration of \pH_n, the subquotients of which are isomorphic to dual versions of \R_λunder the perfect pairing on \R_{1^n}. We conjecture how this filtration relates to the combinatorics of the cells of \eH_n worked out by Shi, Lusztig, and Xi. We also conjecture that the k-atoms of Lascoux, Lapointe, and Morse and the R-catabolizable tableaux of Shimozono and Weyman have cellular counterparts in \pH_n. We extend the idea of atom copies of Lascoux, Lapoint, and Morse to positive affine tableaux and give descriptions, mostly conjectural, of some of these copies in terms of catabolizability.
Algèbre combinatoire et effective: des graphes aux algèbres de Kac, via l'exploration informatique
This manuscript synthesizes almost fifteen years of research in algebraic combinatorics, in order to highlight, theme by theme, its perspectives.
In part one, building on my thesis work, I use tools from commutative algebra, and in particular from invariant theory, to study isomorphism problems in combinatorics. I first consider algebras of graph invariants in relation with Ulam's reconstruction conjecture, and then, more generally, the age algebras of relational structures. This raises in return structural and algorithmic problems in the invariant theory of permutation groups.
In part two, the leitmotiv is the quest for simple yet rich combinatorial models to describe algebraic structures and their representations. This includes the Hecke group algebras of Coxeter groups which I introduced and which relate to the affine Hecke algebras, but also some finite dimensional Kac algebras in relation with inclusions of factors, and the rational Steenrod algebras. Beside being concrete and constructive, such combinatorial models shed light on certain algebraic phenomena and can lead to elegant and elementary proofs.
My favorite tool is computer exploration, and the algorithmic and effective aspects play a major role in this manuscript. In particular, I describe the international open source project *-Combinat which I founded back in 2000, and whose mission is to provide an extensible toolbox for computer exploration in algebraic combinatorics and to foster code sharing among researchers in this area. I present specific challenges that the development of this project raised, and the original algorithmic, design, and development model solutions I was led to develop.
Kashiwara and Zelevinsky involutions in affine type A

We first describe how the Kashiwara involution on crystals of affine type $A$ is encoded by the combinatorics of aperiodic multisegments. This yields a simple relation between this involution and the Zelevinsky involution on the set of simple modules for the affine Hecke algebras. We then give efficient procedures for computing these involutions. Remarkably, these procedures do not use the underlying crystal structure. They also permit to match explicitly the Ginzburg and Ariki parametrizations of the simple modules associated to affine and cyclotomic Hecke algebras, respectively .
$W$-graph versions of tensoring with the $§_n$ defining representation

We further develop the theory of inducing $W$-graphs worked out by Howlett and Yin in \cite{HY1}, \cite{HY2}, focusing on the case $W = §_n$. Our main application is to give two $W$-graph versions of tensoring with the $§_n$ defining representation $V$, one being $\H \tsr_{\H_J} -$ for $\H, \H_J$ the Hecke algebras of $§_n, §_{n-1}$ and the other $(\pH \tsr_{\H} -)_1$, where $\pH$ is a subalgebra of the extended affine Hecke algebra and the subscript signifies taking the degree 1 part. We look at the corresponding $W$-graph versions of the projection $V \tsr V \tsr - \to S^2 V \tsr -$. This does not send canonical basis elements to canonical basis elements, but we show that it approximates doing so as the Hecke algebra parameter $\u \to 0$. We make this approximation combinatorially explicit by determining it on cells. Also of interest is a combinatorial conjecture stating the restriction of $\H$ to $\H_J$ is "weakly multiplicity-free" for $|J| = n-1$, and a partial determination of the map $\H \tsr_{\H_J} \H \xrightarrow{\counit} \H$ on canonical basis elements, where $\counit$ is the counit of adjunction.

This paper contains a complete description of minimal non-gatherable triangle triples in the lambda-sequences for the classical root systems, $F_4$ and $E_6$. Such sequences are associated with reduced decompositions (words) in affine and non-affine Weyl groups. The existence of the non-gatherable triples is a combinatorial obstacle for using the technique of intertwiners for an explicit description of the irreducible representations of the (double) affine Hecke algebras, complementary to their algebraic-geometric theory.

The Hecke group algebra $HW_0$ of a finite Coxeter group $W_0$, as introduced by the first and last author, is obtained from $W_0$ by gluing appropriately its 0-Hecke algebra and its group algebra. In this paper, we give an equivalent alternative construction in the case when $W_0$ is the classical Weyl group associated to an affine Weyl group $W$. Namely, we prove that, for $q$ not a root of unity, $HW_0$ is the natural quotient of the affine Hecke algebra through its level 0 representation. We further show that the level 0 representation is a calibrated principal series representation for a suitable choice of character, so that the quotient factors (non trivially) through the principal central specialization. This explains in particular the similarities between the representation theory of the classical 0-Hecke algebra and that of the affine Hecke algebra at this specialization.

The Littelmann path moel gives a realization of the crystals of integrable representations of symmetrizable Kac-Moody Lie algebras. Recent work of Gaussent-Littelmann and others has demonstrated a connection between this model and the geometry of the loop Grassmannian. The alcove walk model is a version of the path model which is intimately connected to the combinatorics of the affine Hecke algebra. In this paper we define a refined alcove walk model which encodes the points of the affine flag variety. We show that this combinatorial indexing naturally indexes the "cells" in generalized Mirkovic-Vilonen intersections.
Quadratic transformations of Macdonald and Koornwinder polynomials

When one expands a Schur function in terms of the irreducible characters of the symplectic (or orthogonal) group, the coefficient of the trivial character is 0 unless the indexing partition has an appropriate form. A number of q-analogues of this fact were conjectured in math.QA/0112035; the present paper proves most of those conjectures, as well as some new identities suggested by the proof technique. The proof involves showing that a nonsymmetric version of the relevant integral is annihilated by a suitable ideal of the affine Hecke algebra, and that any such annihilated functional satisfies the desired vanishing property. This does not, however, give rise to vanishing identities for the standard nonsymmetric Macdonald and Koornwinder polynomials; we discuss the required modification to these polynomials to support such results.
